Like I was just watching him interact with Foolish, Quackity, and BBH, and he's just really pleasant to be around (also, the vibes with these 4- just casually terraforming the desert is immaculate).

Also, his convo with Bad about the eggs shows that he really cares about them, especially Richarlyson, and that he's also gotten attached to the eggs as well. I enjoyed listening to Forever and Bad's convo while they were talking about Dapper, Richa, and the other eggs because they brought up some really good points to think about too.

Previously, I only knew Forever from Philza's stream, and he acts very differently when he's with Phil, rather than with everyone else lols. But ever since I started watching other streamers' POVS, I've learned that he's actually a very pleasant character to be around.

A couple weeks ago I took Topaz to my sister’s house and my nephew put on a Santa hat which freaked her out suddenly. Telling him to take it off backfired and he started screeching and running around which immediately escalated Topaz’s behaviour and she started lunging for him. I just immediately left as there was nothing to be done at that point. I socialised her to me wearing hats but obviously I did not foresee this particular scenario.

She hadn’t seen my nephew since then but today I took her to my mum’s house and my nephew was there and despite him not wearing the hat, obviously the experience stayed with her because now she doesn’t like him and is not safe around him. Again his unpredictable behaviour set her off. Before the Santa hat incident she got on just fine with him, he had even been to our house with her here.

I don’t know what to do about this except to not bring her around my nephew at all. Which is doable, it just means he can’t come to my house anymore. I’m hoping if I leave it a few months maybe she’ll mature and calm down about it. It’s a bit worrying as I’ve never had a dog reactive to people. I didn’t think her general spookiness around some people was super concerning, but now I’m starting to worry that it’s going to turn into something. Mostly when I take her out she’s fine with people, just now and again she randomly decides she finds someone scary and barks at them. Her behaviour with my nephew was a massive escalation but his behaviour triggered it so I can understand how it happened. My nephew is also really difficult to get cooperation from so there really is no safe way I can see to solve this. Except maybe desensitise her to him in neutral locations from a great distance.

I’m trying not to catastrophise but this is not an area I’m familiar with so I’m not sure what to do. I don’t intend to bring her near my nephew again but I do think I need to be more proactive about handling her when she gets scared of random people. The signs were there before but I just kind of rode through it hoping as she matured she would chill about stuff she gets surprised by, but that’s not happening in all instances and I don’t want this to get worse.
