ATLALA, aka Avatar the Last Airbender Live Action
Sooooo, I finished the first season and had thoughts (just like everyone else lol). First context, non-spoilery thoughts, and then spoilers under the cut, yadda-yadda.
Why context? Because for a lot of people OG ATLA was their childhood, and they have super strong feelings about it and about any adaptation that exists. I'm not one of those people.
The first time I watched OG ATLA I was over 20 years old, which means I was an adult and had adult viewpoints about the story – worldbuilding, character writing, etc. It was never the hallowed most perfect show ever for me. It was and still is a fucking good show with some amazing writing and worldbuilding but I did have some gripes.
So when ATLALA was announced I remained neutral – I've seen the movie that shall not be named and din't really like it but shitty adaptations have always existed. When we started getting photos and trailers and news pieces, I was feeling pretty positive about the visuals, but neither news pieces or trailers actually tell you shit about what the writing or worldbuilding is like. However, I was about 70% optimistic.
Because what indications I did get about visuals, writing etc, were very reminiscent of another adaptation that had come out recently, about a series that was actually a bit more important to me on an emotional than ATLA. I'm talking about One Piece, and OPLA which came out last August. I've been a fan of that for 10 years longer than ATLA, and while they did a lot of changes, the spirit of the story was there.
So I copied my optimism and good feelings from that, going into ATLALA.
Now, the thoughts.
Visuals are pretty good. There are moments when I can tell they left some visuals out due to trickiness/budget (the "is Zuko's ship real?" review after the premiere). Some things look fake or plasticy, some stuff is too clean. Bending looks a lot better than in the movie that shall not be named.
Writing has issues. Some of it is very expositiony which makes it wooden and the shots uninteresting (there were so many badly framed shots with characters just awkwardly standing and talking). There are some lovely bits of dialogue that gave me feelings, but those moments were in the minority. And some writing choices were also quite childish, even for an adaptation of a kids' cartoon, so I'm a bit confused about the intended age demographic – except there are some really violent bits in there, which leave me even more confused.
Pacing was either frantic or okay-ish. The writers clearly had trouble paring down the OG series, and then ended up cramming stuff together. I could keep up with it (knowing what certain characters roughly meant for the plot, even if they were at a different place and time), but I'm not quite sure if someone uninitiated in the OG series could. The last 2 episodes had probably the best pacing and even then there were some things that made me go "hmmm."
Some actors have issues emoting – main and extras. I agree that the Gaang has lost some of their flaws compared to the OG series. Maybe some of them will make more of an appearance in season two when everyone's more experienced at acting? Especially considering that they'll likely have stuff more spaced out there – there are some episodes I'm pretty sure they'll outright skip, just based on the choices in this season. But we'll see. There were some fun and interesting bonding moments between different characters.
Sokka, Zuko, and Suki were the standouts from the younger cast. Suki is considerably different from the OG but it was acted and written well, and is an interesting choice. Sokka's quips, while not as numerous as in the OG, were fun. Physical comedy is obviously more toned down because real bodies can't do the same shit as cartoons. More about his arc choices later. Zuko was a bit toned down from the OG but IMO also the closest to it. And as someone who's almost finished with a Zuko AU fanfic, I was positively cackling due to the fact that some of the choices made for the character are similar to something I've done in my fic.
As for the rest of the main kids, there'll be more in the spoiler bits, BUT, they're different, and feel less experienced in acting. They're not bad but some choices were definitely different than in the show and they offer interesting opportunities. We'll see how they pan out, but be prepared for some speculation from me.
Fight scenes sometimes had IMO slow moments in the choreo, and they could have been better. Some were excellent, some a bit ehhh.
On the whole, I think this is about 7 out of 10. Some moments were 8 out of 10. It's a passable adaptation

Whoo boy. Where to start here?
Let's start with the cramming. As far as I can tell from my notes, the episodes are roughly divided like so:
EP1: 3,5 and bits (Boy in the Iceberg, Avatar Returns, Southern Air Temple, half of the Storm, bits of Avatar and the Fire Lord)
EP2: 1 and bits (Warriors of Kyoshi, part of Waterbending Scroll)
EP3: 3 halves (King of Omashu, Jet, Northern Air Temple)
EP4: 1, 4 halves and bits (King of Omashu, Jet, Northern Air Temple, Cave of Two Lovers, half of Winter Solstice P1, bits of the Avatar Day,)
EP5: 2 halves and pieces of 3 (half of Winter Solstice P1, half of Bato of the Water Tribe, part of Southern Raiders, part of the Library, part of Siege of the North) AND timeskip mention of the Great Divide and the pirates from Waterbending Scroll
EP6: 2, two halves and bits (Winter Solstice P2, Blue Spirit, half of Bato of the Water Tribe half of the Storm, part of Siege of the North)
EP7: 2 (Waterbending Master, Siege of the North)
EP8: 2 and pieces (Siege of the North, Return to Omashu, bits of Northern Air Temple, part of the Library)
Waterbending Scroll is a bit of throughline because you see moments of training in pretty much all of the episodes.
Episode 1 was very full, and felt rushed at times. There were a few places where they could have shortened some parts (like the earthbender spy scene at the start) to give more time for other stuff. Biggest gripes are the convenience of timing – Aang going off to clear his head only for everyone to die that very night. HOWEVER, me and my friends talked about it being likely Spirit shenanigans going "fuck, Air Nomads are gonna die now, we need to deepfreeze the Avatar for storage." We also concluded that the sudden current of Sokka and Katara finding Aang was either physics we don't understand, or Spirit shenanigans. Also the thing about all the Air Nomads coming over for the Great Comet festival? And then having so few of them on screen? Sorry, but I ain't buying it. Having such a sparse population in one temple I could have bought (with caveats) but adding in the gathering, nah.
Episode 2, Sokka-Suki was beautiful. I think it works even with the removed downplaying of girls capabilities (this change also brought some other stuff to Sokka I absolutely adored in later episodes but I'll talk about that when I start ranting about the characters). This was pretty close to the OG episode in many ways and I really don't have other problems with it, besides the somewhat childish end discussion about hope and shit with Aang and Suki's mom (Suki having a badass mom is fun). Manifesting Avatars and being able to talk to them only at their shrines will be an interesting take on stuff. Because that will affect some stuff on later seasons and I'm not sure how.
(And considering how scared Aang is of the Avatar State this early on, we might end up skipping the Avatar State in the next season. At least partially. Because we did get a lot of info now.)
That's a very full itinerary and it was hardest to follow at eps 3-4 because there were so many things going on. Jet's and the Mechanist's conflicting storylines made for an interesting drama (though, again, hard to follow) and gave Sokka and Katara something to do – which they didn't really have in the OG Omashu episode, which was what Aang was mostly dealing with here. In my opinion these two episodes didn't get a proper handling, because they're one of the few instances were we get people from the Earth Kingdom doing questionable shit, but we don't really discuss it. And while everyone know marketing is a mistake (it makes no one happy), considering that this series was trying to sell itself as a more mature take, that feeling is left kinda lacking in regards to Jet and the Mechanist. I do appreciate Bumi being fucking bitter, like Yass, you go king, as well as the bit with the Earth Kingdom soldiers speaking of grief and mistreating Iroh. That complexity is what was left lacking with Jet and the Mechanist, and how Katara and Sokka dealt with that emotionally. Also loved Zuko getting hit by a broom and Iroh taking the fall for him. The Zuko-Zhao alliance was an interesting angle to take (after messing it up pfft) and establishing early that Azula is a master infiltrator? I liked that move, also the fact that there are Fire Nation rebels. Although I fucking loved the quick fake marriage.
5 and 6, despite being about as full if not fuller, were weaven together really well in my opinion. My biggest gripe with that two episode storyline was how the Fire Sage Shyu-Aang team-up was done – not that it was any better in the OG to be fair but it is more jarring in live action. I just about died at the 41st twist because holy shit that's an amazing angst take and I appreciate it so much. And while we do get Aang planting an acorn, it feels like a really small moment and I think the Hei Bai issue should have got a bit more attention as the episode was resolved. Koh was fucking terrifying and the appearance of Wan Shi Tong – and in the last two episodes the appearance of the celestial objects calendar machine, as well as the fact that Zhao got his dirt on Tui and La from a Fire Sage – leads me to believe we won't be getting the Library episode next season.
(The only way I can see Return to Omashu happening is if it's remixed with Imprisoned which was totally left out of this season, or we get the important info aka neutral Jing info all from the Swamp, or from a letter Bumi sent. I personally think Return to Omashu-Imprisoned remix is more likely, just so we can prep Teo and the Mechanist for the Day of the Black Sun which we saw flashing by on the celestial objects machine just before we finally got the confirmation that Sozin's Comet is still a thing. Although The Avatar State could also be remixed into this in a sort of "yes, Earth Kingdom needs to free Bumi etc but I can't do it in Avatar State, we need to be smart.")
Episodes 7 and 8 were pretty chill in pacing issues. I thought Yue was a bit too quick in warming up to Sokka but considering how it was explained I can accept it. Also, the fact that Tui and La are intelligent enough to not be fish 24/7/365 is a change that makes sense although the whole Ice Moon (is it the local Halloween?) thing was very out of left field. Women joining the fight was a wild update and definitely more of a modern take than an early 2000s take.
Do I have other thoughts? Sure, but I don't want to write bajillion essays and I just want a general overview in one post.
Zuko is, like I said, a standout. Absolutely love his conspiracy board, and as someone who writes a fic with a more scholarly inclined Zuko, I loved him being able to draw, being the foremost Avatar expert in the world (you can't tell me there can be more than one or two people out there who know more than Zuko at this point, look at his research), and having opinions about calligraphy brushes. Ugh, my heart. There's some absolutely wonderful acting happening and he does action really well. Is he a bit less explosive than in the OG? Sure, but one must remember, that adaptations are just licensed fanfics. His abuse background is in the performance, and my biggest question is the Agni Kai. There was a certain desperation in his face, so he must have wanted to make an impression on Ozai, and maybe felt a bit more like he had the right to it – as this show made it clear he had been invited in the War Council and did not needle his way in. Also the 41st twist oh holy smokes I just about screamed. His flaw is still anger and trouble thinking plans through.
Azula (her bangs in the flashback crack me up, was that her emo phase?) is more obviously affected by Ozai's games in this. I know OG Azula has loads of fans and there are loads of deep dives into her character and abuse and etc, but this is actually the first time her writing has made it obvious to me. She's still cold and calculating, but she's affected by more things and that makes her into a more approachable character for me. I know many fans got this from the OG portrayal so I know this is a me thing.
Sokka is another standout. I saw an interview where the actor was like "I tried to interject and ad lib humour where I could" and I appreciate it, because a lot of them made me cackle. There was some really good humour there. As for his arc and conflict; I think it's really interesting that he tries to live up to his dad's image of a warrior, and doing it very much out of duty. It isn't so much that he wants to be a warrior, but he wants to be good enough and I think that came through wonderfully. He can be a warrior, but it ain't his passion. It also offers very interesting bonding possibilities and parallels with Zuko. My heart broke at that ice-dodging scene in episode 5, as well as his heart-to-heart with Katara in episode 4 (fucking SIBLING LOVE TRIUMPHS). Also absolutely loved the fact that he supported Katara being a warrior in the North. His flaws in the OG are self-esteem issues (nailed here), and a certain level of arrogance, that affected his attitude towards girls at times. The latter has been removed but considering it only lasted until episode 4 in the OG series anyway, I don't see it as a terribly big deal. We can still get his "it'll totally work out this way" arrogant moment at pretty much any point in the story in the future.
Katara has trouble emoting. I don't know how much experience her actor has with acting, but I hope she gets better with practice. There are some very nice bonding moments she has with Sokka and Aang that bring emotion out, but she's very stone faced a lot of the time. One could read it as a symptom of seeing her mother being literally burned alive but that depends on how her arc is written in future seasons, and how it's acted. I really like the parallel with Sokka, of him trying to be a warrior out of duty, while Katara wants to be that and has trouble getting the opportunity to do so. This came out really well in episode 4. The fact that she was made a fucking commander of sorts at North was amazing moment of proving to her that she can be, that she is, a warrior. I'm kinda sad her temper has been left out of the writing, because with her being a self-taught water bender (which I'm okay with because we see her practising every fucking episode) there's a threat of her sliding into so-called Mary Sue territory. Hopefully Toph's inclusion brings her temper out next season. She's also missing some of her naiveté, although having a crush on the first good looking outsider (with fucking mirrored shots) just like her brother is hilarious.
Aang is... to mature. He gets a lot of really good and morally and ethically right speeches, and while he expresses that he's scared and doesn't know what he's doing, it still feels too mature. He also doesn't have that many dumbass child moments (what was that episode he just went "oops" in, that was funny and felt childlike, and then there was the water fight he had with Katara). It could be because we're going through stuff so fast but it'll be hard to fix later. I kinda like how his connection with Katara is being the last of their kind and loss – and then the small really good acting in ep7 when Katara says stewed sea prunes taste like home, and you can just see him go "oh, there's still someplace she can belong to, unlike me." I loved his calligraphy brush discussion with Zuko, because there was the beginnings of a bond there. As a friend said, it's nice they removed the Disney princess like love at first sight thing from the OG. If this turns into a romance (I have thoughts on that... later) I feel like it has a better chance to grow organically. No, I never shipped Kataang, please refer to the context part of this post.
Suki had a fun isolated, but curious, and socially awkward vibe to her. She's obviously different from the OG, but it's a fun and interesting difference, as the most characterisation we ever got for her was badass. Yue was interesting, more assertive and playful, which I liked. I also liked the fact that she had obvious duties and was expected to be the next chief. Even if the Northern Water Tribe sexism was kept, this felt like it added some dimension to it. June flirting with Iroh was hilarious, enough said. Mai and Ty Lee are blanks of wood. Their writing, and the direction they were given was horrible, and they're a prime example of that awkward standing and bad framing issue I mentioned way earlier. Ty Lee could have at least been bending herself into a pretzel, and Mai could have been using a knife to dig stuff from under her nails or something. I hope they get better writing and direction in the future.
Iroh was honestly pretty enjoyable. There were some moments of skilled evasive answering, but I was left missing him saying that Zuko was like a son to him. They do have really good chemistry though and you can see the care between the characters. I hated the long monologue at the end of episode 6, that felt very much beneath whatever target audience they were aiming for, and failed show not tell. Not perfect but can improve. Also, that one part where they played Leaves on the Vine, I almost died.
Ozai being a manipulative, abusive game addict is different but offers him some agency and motivation besides megalomania, which I appreciate. He had a peculiar expression when he burned Zuko, and that smells like hidden lore to me.
That's probably every character I feel like addressing at this point. However, I did mention romance in Aang's section, and I have to agree with the other whispers on the net. The fucking scarf scene. At this point, it's more likely for this show to be Zutara than Kataang IMO. BUT before people go and blow up about it, some points; cartoons offer more leeway in visual age differences, I feel like they would need to extend ATLALA plot line to last several years (instead of like, 9 months it's in the OG) to make it visually make sense. The Fortuneteller (as well as Katara's obsession with love?), and Aang's love at first sight have all been written out. Cave of Two Lovers was used for sibling love on the first season, and we ain't visiting that location again, not with how efficiently we did pretty much all of the Omashu stuff this season. Most of the Kataang iconic moments have been left out deliberately. Does this mean we'll get Zutara? Of course not, but due to the scarf scene, as well as that rivals thing they have going (we literally have two fights between Zuko and Katara this season, and the water sprout she used to thwart his fireball in episode one, and if that isn't a traditional beginning of a rivalry, nothing is), it's certainly more likely at this point than Kataang.
But we'll see, just like with everything else. It's an okay start, it's far from perfect, but it does offer new viewpoints that I find fascinating.
What's in the future.
I already explained my Return to Omashu-Imprisoned-Avatar State mash-up idea above, and that we'll likely miss the Library. I also think Avatar Day will be left out. I do however think, that we'll get the Deserter next season. We also need a way for Aang to learn about the Comet coming again and if Library is out (and probably also the Desert), best chances are IMO the Swamp or the Fortuneteller (remixing those two together is also possible). Or maybe Yeong Yeong has spies and they tell him about the Comet and he tells the Gaang. I also think they'll be foreshadowing/setting up White Lotus a bit more than we got in the OG.
I don't quite have my thought together enough to make any other guesses, but we will get Toph, Ba Sing Se, and Azula's Mean Girls Squad, but no clue yet how they'll be remixed. Season 2 has a much clearer timeline structure, whereas season 1 had a lot of episodic stuff that doesn't timeline wise offer too many roadblocks for remixes, as we saw with what they did with Omashu.

Why I haven't been posting + thoughts on upcoming movies
Okay, so I mostly am gonna still spam reblog about the KOSA bill until we can finally stop it but I want to still use Tumblr for what it was meant to be for all along; to have fun! I just will take a short break on posting cartoons but I'm still active here every night! Tumblr's honestly the only place I feel like I can truly be myself right now...
Okay, let's put the stupid bill aside for the moment and talk about my thoughts on some upcoming movies and shows right now. Disney's really been p*ssing me off lately with their sequels. Like, I feel they're only making sequels of Moana and Inside Out to impress the hardcore Disney fans, because their "new original ideas" failed (like Wish, but it failed because they used A.I to write the story). The Inside Out sequel looks cute from what I seen, but I still have trust issues when it comes to Disney. And before you go blabbing "It's Pixar", let me inform you that they're not the same and Pixar is literally just Disney with a better animation studio. Like, it's literally part of Disney! Like, I feel like I trust the Inside Out sequel a little more than the forced Moana sequel but still... I don't trust them. The worst is the Moana sequel though. I heard they originally planned for it to be a Disney plus show but instead they're making it a sequel on a super low budget and the animation is gonna be done overseas. No joke! I honestly think Disney needs to take a break on making movies for a while and focus on stuff like Kiff. Kiff is the only thing from Disney right now that's keeping me from leaving them all together. And when Kiff ends after season 2, I'm done with them forever! I honestly think they should let Kiff run a little longer than 2 seasons, look how long Kick Buttoski ran (that was a weird show, let's face it). Anyway, that's my thoughts on Disney right now.
I haven't posted my review on Orion and the Dark yet but I think I will soon. Like I said, I been really terrified after hearing about the KOSA bill and will continue to spam reblog until I get justice! Long story short, Orion and the Dark was better than DreamWorks's other recent movies. I haven't seen Kung Fu Panda 4 yet but I'm sure Orion was better. I mostly only like the first two Kung Fu Panda movies. Orion and the Dark was better than Trolls 3, though. I don't think Chicken Run 2 Dawn of the nugget counts as being DreamWorks (the first Chicken Run will always be a DreamWorks movie whether you like it or not) but Orion and the Dark was better! Maybe I can post my review on it soon...
Okay, let's talk about The Amazing Digital Circus now! We all love that, don't we? I hope TADC episode 2 makes more money than Disney on their forced sequels. I'm really excited about episode 2, although I really really don't want to see any of the main cast get abstracted. Like, every character fits in with the show so well and makes it worth watching. Ragatha, Gangle, Pomni, and Kinger are my favorites, but I don't want anyone to get abstracted because they all fit in together perfectly. You have Pomni the new girl, Ragatha the supportive friend and optimistic "peace maker" of the group, Jax the sassy trouble maker, Gangle the emotional one who doesn't stick up for herself, Kinger who's upbeat and crazy and childish, and Zooble who's also kind of sassy and doesn't really care much. Plus, there's Caine and Bubble who are hilarious as well. Like, I just don't want any of the main characters to get abstracted so soon. I'm just way too attached to all of those characters! However, I'm still a huge fan of the show and hoping that episode 2 will make more money than Disney! And if there's anyone here in the comments who's also a TADC fan and wants to see my sketches that I'll never post on tumblr, I'll dm them to you!

there's a solid friendship foundation in this relationship that allows you to be silly with each other. no day is the same when you're with him and he makes things so much lighter. he sees the bright side on every situation and it can be annoying some times (I can see MC being "why aren't you freaking out?") but he wants to keep himself calm so you're allowed to freak out — but he totally cries with you when you're feeling really down. may be a little messy and I feel like you'd have to ask him exactly what you want him to do but never denies helping you. when you have children, he is the best dad ever!!

you guys are a team. everything is talked through before you take action and that's exactly what keeps your relationship stable. you feel like you can always talk about anything that bothers you and she'll do her best to understand you but also give her pov. fights happen sometimes, of course, but you always find your way around it. she plans some cute moments with wine and music at home so you two can relax. she also loves decorating your house together and is always buying something new for it. overall, it's a very, very calm relationship. she's definitely your rock! I don't see her wanting to have children so soon, if at all.

he encourages you to always follow your dreams and goals and to also be your best self. the pressure can be a lot sometimes which can lead to some fights but in the end you know he just wants what's best for you. he is super close to your family, specially the kids and loooooves to cook with your relatives, or better, for them. also likes to gossip with the old ladies. oh, and you two always go grocery shopping together, it's a fun little time for both of you. he totally loves sharing housework and his favourite time is when you two are doing the dishes together and talking about each other's days.

this guy is your best friend, your teammate and your favourite person. you are always laughing when he's around and your family adores him. and you adore his family, too! your whole relationship is very family-oriented and you're thinking of having kids as soon as possible. plus, he always pick your side when there's a conflict going on and he reminds you constantly that you're in this together. he loves to do silly things together like building forts, watching movies outside, changing the walls colours just because. however, he can come across as childish sometimes which can lead to fights. he also hates conflict so it'll be hard to get him to talk to you eye to eye. but it's definitely something he can learn with time.
Noah
your mother knew you were endgame when she met him and god, she wasn't wrong. Noah is exactly what you always wanted on a partner. he is responsible, loves children, can be silly when he feels comfortable and knows how to love in silence. there's no big gesture like the movies because Noah shows his love every day in little actions. in your house, I can see him being the one who does the housework the most. he is just neat and organised by nature. I also think he loves doing long road trips with you and the kids. during summer weekends, when you're not visiting a friend or relative, you're both sitting in the garden, reading and listening to a vinyl record from your collection. when it's raining, he makes you tea and you cuddle while watching the rain from the couch.
Carl
since Carl is a CEO of a tech company, I imagine he has a lot of events he can't miss. gala-type ones. you two are used to those and everyone who sees you knows you're a power couple. Carl always encourages you to achieve success in your career and is really greatful for you being there for his even when times get tough in his company. of course, you fight because of his busy schedule but in the end there's always a solution and you can easily work around it. I feel like he worships you and your strength, and he is really proud of you. feels a little out of place at first with your family but with time he adjusts to their ways and soon enough he is helping your mom with the onions.
Lucas
you two are always traveling around the globe and are a couple that loves to give back to the world through charity work. he's not that close to his family but he really finds solace in yours, even if he always jokes about how annoying the little ones are. you two have decided not having kids and your place is really mature and neat, mainly because that's how Lucas likes to keep his things. He definitely makes housework easier and you never once had to tell you to take the wet towel out of your bed. sometimes, you don't see eye to eye in some topics and Lucas can be extremely stubborn when he thinks he's right but he learnt to sit down and talk it through. oh, he's also a little jealous from time to time.
SEASON 3
AJ
this girl has your back. she's more than your best friend, she's also your heart and home. you two love to go out together, even if it's just for some ice-cream, and things are always fun with her around. she's a mess at home but she knows it, so she's always helping you around with the housework to compensate. you two share a house with a big garden and also adopted at least one pet. AJ loves to take you to her games and you even have some jerseys with her number and name on it. both your families are really loud and you just love bringing them together during holidays. speaking of which, AJ just loooooves Christmas and she always gifts you something really special and you love to try to guess what it is — it has become a little game between the two of you.
Harry
he is so greatful for how supportive you're of him. he has issues, he knows that, but knowing you believe in him and loves him despite it all makes him feel deserving of good things. that's why he is the most supportive partner you ever had. no, really. he is so proud of you and he is so loud about it, always gushing about you with your friends and relatives. your house is filled with pictures of you two together and you're so close it has become rare to see one without the other. there's bumps on the road, every relationship has its ups and downs, yet it's easy to talk to him, specially because his used to talk about his feelings. you have much fun with his family and he loves being part of yours as well.
Seb
days of indie records and singing in the shower awaits you when you marry Seb. you learn to have fun even with mundane tasks such as cleaning and doing the dishes. you two find the company of one another comforting, even when it's just silence. when you're working on your stuff alone on the study, you feel relieved when you hear his deep voice singing the catchy chorus that's stuck in his head at the moment — and there's always a song stuck in his head, by the way. you're not that close to his family since Seb himself is not that close, but that's fine, you two are forming your own family now. your favourite moment of every day is when you two lie awake, staring at each other.

Angie
her schedule is crazy and her work demands a lot of her but somehow Angie always finds a way to be there for you when you need her. she's the definition of "if they wanted, they would." she has set the bar so high you're afraid of never loving again if she breaks up — but don't worry, Angie would never even dream about a life without you. the day you married was the best day of your life and you never looked back. you two do the corniest shit together and then laugh and promise each other you'll never tell her sisters about it. talking bout the sisters, they love you. you're like one of them and it's always so fun when they are around (although they can get annoying sometimes). you two also have matching everything — clothes, bracelets, keychains, necklaces, and so on...
Bruno
you rehearsed that joke a thousand times but there's nothing quite like watching your husband telling it to a crowd. Bruno loves to parade you on his comedy clubs, introducing you to friends and acquaintances. you can see the pride in his eyes when he tells them you're his wife and all the things you have accomplished. sometimes, you have to stop him mid sentence so he won't brag forever. his Instagram looks like a fanclub dedicated to you and honestly you kinda love it. he's not afraid of showing the world you're in love and that's refreshing for you. housework is always fun because Bruno has a way of making everything enjoyable. once, he invented a game to get you two into cleaning the living room and the loser had to be the big spoon for a week — he was so happy after winning it.
SEASON 5
Finn
you didn't really believe it at first, when Finn said he was ready to fully commit but boy has he proved you wrong. he loves you fully and so loud. and he is sooo cheesy to. but you adore him. he's got your back and you know this. it's you two against the world but it's ok because he's the best teammate ever. some problems come and go, specially because of his past but he believes in you so you believe in him too. he can be a pain in the ass when it comes to housework though and you might have to ask him to do the lawn at least thrice before he gets moving.
Suresh
he's definitely making it up for the hard times he put you through. this man works hard and somehow still finds a way of doing most in your home. he is the one cooking, he is also the one doing the laundry and he's also the one taking care of the kids during the weekends. yeah, the relationship dynamics have changed a little when the first child was born, but once in a while you two have date nights that bring that wild side back to surface. however, this time around, your relationship has a really solid foundation based on much love, trust, honesty and companionship.

Hello! I saw your match-ups were open and I wanted to submit one! For starters, I'd like all the boys to be inn consideration.
Now, I'm gender fluid and demi romantic, though I typically just say MLM! I tend to present more femininely, but I have my days. I have a head canon that I'd just use magic to present super masc as I wanted too, because it'd be fucking hilarious.
I'm an ENFP, more of an Ambivert really, and I'm a Virgo Sun, Taurus Moon, Scorpio Rising, and Leo Venus. I was born in September!
Now, I'm very excitable, and have a tendency to overreact. It's due to my ADHD and Bipolar Disorder. Though, I'm seen as a really happy person. I'm very kind, and polite! I see myself as a caring and nurturing person who sometimes gets a little weird... but my friends nicknames for me consist mainly of old-man freak! So. I have a tendency to go a little overboard when talking to people I'm comfortable with. I'm also very insecure of my weight and such.
I am absolutely obsessed with yoga. I attend classes and such. I also like to go to the gym, mainly for lifting and cardio. I'm very strong! I also have a huge thing for cooking! I prefer to make meat products due to the overdoing things, as I over season non-meat things sometimes. I also really like baking, I just have a hard time eating so many sweets. Listening to music or trash TV while I do this is so much fun.
I adore kids! Not liking kids would absolutely be a deal breaker for me... I don't want a HUGE family, but I want more than 2 kids! I'm studying to be a teacher as well.
When I get insecure, I tend to absorb mylaef into my interests. I like reading a lot, and I love movies. I'm a huge movie buff, and watch many nostalgic movies! Little Monsters, Drop Dead Fred, ect. I'm not an 80s' kid, but I was raised by my aunt, who was. I watch my comfort shows, my comfort movies, and read my favorite books. Or, I watch a good movie and read the book it's based off! Right now I'm reading The Count of Monte Cristo because I watched the movie! I also tend to be into childish things, like cartoon movies.
I dress in a variety of styles, and always try and make it fun. Sometimes, I can be wearing purple spandex shorts and 7 inch sparkly pink platforms with heart buckles, the next I'm running through the woods with no shoes on, and a flowy brown skirt with a orange crop top. I've been described as a Golden Retriever friend, and a free spirt. Many people think I'm stupid, but I'm actually really smart... and I'm terribly jealous of my younger sister because she's everything I'm not.

I decided to make a fully revamped version of my original ideas for TS3, especially since so many new programs and whatnot are coming out to enhance the game itself. Amazing creators, programmers, and those who write tutorials help make this possible, and for TS3 to keep going. They are to be thanked profusely! I'm definitely not a programmer, but learning from the tutorials, I'm learning to make tattoos, makeup, and hopefully convert some poses from TS4.
...that is, if all goes well on my end. Trial and error, people---trial and error.
I've tried researching a lot of these between different Sims wikis and stuff--but I know not everything is super detailed. :/
Alright, let's get into it. These are personally things I would like to see in my game, mind you. We'll start with the most obvious one.

~ A mod that changes a "family relation" to another (( ie; cousin, grandparent, uncle, etc. )) in-game. I'm not sure what you call this, but nothing exists for it. I have a pair of (( created )) Sims who are siblings in the game, but they are meant to be cousins. I don't really want to go about and go the freaking long way around for make a pair of sisters who get have kids who are cousins and then kill off said mothers, just to make them cousins, you know? I'd have to do that to ALL my character Sims. >__> I'd like to to go and click NRAAS, select "change family relation", and click on cousin, or whatever other option I want to choose for that particular Sim. Does that make sense?
~ Plopsy App (( to sell items on ))
~ Simstagram (( on phone ))

TS4 - TS3 Snowy Escape Manhole Covers
Yes, you heard right, I converted something to actually share. *le gasp*
I had the free trial of the Snowy Escape pack and surprisingly the objects are still listed in my game as I still have them. I haven't played or updated my game since, because I'm afraid of losing them, lol. I really wanted to try to convert as much as possible, but my skillz are limited with what I have.
Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys this small piece of CC. I THINK it's enabled to CAW, but totally unsure. I would have checked myself, but I can't get into my game currently (( again. Now the bypass launcher won't work, but I might have to restart my computer to get it to work )) and I have sooo many things to test out.

Hello everyone!
Taking a small break from attempting to convert Sims 4 tattoos and makeup to Sims 3 (( a huge shoutout to @murfeelee for helping me in this! )) to bring you some fun content.
So, as a late New Years and early Valentine's Day gift, I've decided that I'm going to upload the rest of my radio stations and let you guys go crazy with it. XD And, because, why not? hi! it's so weird that it's literally so late in December already, time has just flown by! for least favorite bands, i wouldn't say i dislike any of these a lot but like you said, i don't get the hype about it. honestly, i kind of feel that way with queen and fleetwood mac, and honestly same with nirvana. i can't think of any songs or albums off the top of my head, i'm usually super picky with what i listen to. also i love warrant so much too! i feel like no one ever talks about them, but they have so many good songs,, heaven by them is stuck in my head rn! as for animated movies, i really love a lot of japanese animated films like 'the wind rises' 'the boy and the heron' because even though they're animated and usually have child protagonists, they still have a lot of messages while also having whimsical characters. i don't really love super childish movies, so those ones provide a good balance between fun and seriousness. i'm also not usually a movie person, but every once and a while, i'll get into a movie kick. do you have any favorite media or music you discovered this year? i didn't discover a whole ton (i'm a creature of habit usually) but i feel i got way deeper into all the things i liked!

Yea I definitely agree with Queen, they’re great but I can’t seem to get super hyped about them. I’m also super picky lol. And yea Warrant is awesome! Uncle tom’s cabinet is my favorite song by them. It’s a magnificent song in my opinion and it’s definitely not what I expected from a hair metal band.
I think Japanese animated films are neat! Just like you said the story is charming and they can be viewed by people of all ages. My favorite Japanese animated film is probably Tomb of the Fireflies. It’s quite a heavy story but the visuals are stunning.
I Discovered a lot of new media this year! Because I only really got into rock and metal like last year. I feel like I also dug deeper on the bands I already listen to, too. Since last year was all about exploring and expanding I didn’t really get to dig into the bands I listened to. I knew Yes but I never really listened to them until earlier this year, and that opened a new word of different prog bands for me :D

Typical evening on the couch that you’re both chosen it two years ago when you decided to move in together, in his arms near the TV, showing some ‘super interesting movie’ how soobin described it. Maybe, it was, but your attention was not focused on the movie but on thoughts that have been haunting for several weeks or even months, without accurately determining their origin in your head.
Although, that it was those stable, healthy relationships you dreamed about, without jealousy and emotional swings, last time everything has made you doubt its durability and correctness.
A few years ago when you were eighteen you were just getting to know yourselves and each other’s inner world and worldview continued to change. In those years, you’re both wanted to have fun, childishness was still not going to leave you, as well as the same youthful naivety and innocence. In those years, you didn't want to think about the future, living on the principle of one day. The relationship with him was full of surprises, the first date, the first kiss, the first sex, the first argument, and make up. In those years, life seemed so colorful.
But the older you get, the faster time runs, the annual increase in age did not improve the situation in any way.
Now, a few years later, everything has lost that diversity of shades and colors, some innocence inherent in that age, having been replaced by calm tones. I don't want to go out to have fun in places like clubs and parties anymore, preferring to spend the evening in a cozy pastel, or each other's arms. Relationships still have their little surprises, but not the same as before and not in such quantities. And internally, too, not much has changed.
And despite all his words and your importance in his life, there was still a strange feeling.

first things first - congrats on getting this man to be your boyfriend because boy oh boy you gonna get the best domestic life ever
haru kato is a simple man with a simple life who knows his responsibilities so expect perfect husbando and waifu qualities
cooking for you is his favorite thing to do. he loves being able to alleviate your stress, especially after a particularly troubling day at work/university
he loves it when you cook for him too. it makes him feel special and his heart just soars. this man will not leave the kitchen just so he can watch you working your magic with ingredients and spice while wearing that dumb dreamy face. he holds himself back from sliding behind you and embracing you because you look so good with an apron for the reason he doesn't want to distract you but most of the time he just does it because you're too cute
if you know how to cook, he'll give you tips here and there but will leave you to your cooking majority of the time
if you can't cook, expect a full blown cooking lesson from him because he said he won't be able to cook for you all the time and he'll be damned if you always order take out or buy those just microwave packages in convenient stores
if your cooking turned out good, haru will eat seconds and thirds, complimenting you every now and then after gulping down what he was chewing. will definitely ask you to cook more for him and if you can't, he'll brush it off saying maybe next time but internally he was pouty because he wants more. probably thinking of marrying you already
if your cooking turned out bad, he will tell you it could use a little more work, offer himself to help you, but he'll still eat it because you made it for him aww. still probably thinking of marrying you
dates with haru is sort of rare. crime doesn't sleep and nor does he so most of your dates are at his place - just watching a movie and eating whatever he cooked
he always has to have a hand on you or an arm over your shoulder. gotta make sure you're really there
but if he does have time, he will take you out on a simple date that benefits both of your interests. haru won't say but he'll always lean more in your interests in dates because he feels so bad for depriving you of his quality time. this is how he silently atones, plys he buys you small and thoughtful gifts
remember when i said crime doesn't sleep nor does he? well, haru gets tired often. it was natural because of his field of work. haru will hesitate to go to your place because he needs some loving and some caring but doesn't want to be a bother so he calls you to ask permission before going
will want to sleep with you once he gets there but you force him to eat because he needs to he healthy to continue being a detective. he will grumble while you make him food but his heart is soft that you think about his well being
"my girlfriend is best girl" he whispers in a slur, trying to keep himself from falling asleep in the dining room while eating
will drag you to your bed after eating and will pull you down with him on the bed. haru will have his arms draped around you and snuggle in your chest. he will let out a content sigh if you snuggle back and run your fingers through his hair

haru will be happy if he wakes up and you're still in his arms but will scoff if you are not. haru will stand up no matter how tired he still is and drag you back to bed to continue your cuddle

arguing over which product - any product at all - is better to buy. sorry to say this but haru wins all the time. you swear, this man has a sixth sense for which items to buy

but silly arguments with haru is common. fights over who gets to clean the dishes, who makes the bed, which movie or series is better, which cop movie superior, which food to eat, who is the big spoon - but they're all fun snd games
haru will make sure to win as the big spoon tho because again, he has a hidden ego and his heart swells when he sees how tiny you are compared to him
getting drunk with haru is always a rollercoaster. he's a rambling drunk? well, you're the agree with everything drunk
"the floor is too cold. why is it always cold? i just want warmth and peace" cue haru sliding on the floor with a red face because of the alcohol. he's very at ease with you so being stupid and childish is norm for him
"yes, yes, i agree, the floor is always cold. bad floor, you're making haru sad" then you slide with him on the floor
haru turns to you "you don't make me sad"
you turn to him "yes, i make you happy"
you two are just a pair of drunk lovebirds
patch him up when he gets hurt in his work
he won't feel much pain if it's you who's patching him up

actually it matters that he is late. he just never tells you so you won't tell him to stop. that's why once you're out of sight, after you exchange goodbyes snd kisses, you bet your ass he's speeding through the streets to get to the precint in time (got tickets from speeding but he hides them from you but you'll find out eventually lmao)
since he is a cop/detective, of course he had a gun. he won't bring it to your place but whenever you're at his place or at the precint, he'll allow you to hold it, with him supervising of course, and he'll probably teach you how to fire a gun in a range
will catch you whenever you suffer the recoil of pulling the trigger
will pull a cheesy line like "falling for me now, huh?"
when daisuke joins the precint, haru is less than thrilled
since you always visit him and he became partners with daisuke, that meant you have meet to this rich bastard

3) he doesn't want to admit it but daisuke is handsome
he is 101% fuming when he sees you talking to daisuke than him. his mind reverts back to all those times you always talk to him in the precint when in reality you were just talking to daisuke for 3 minutes
haru is overdramatic and

he's scared that you'll leave him for daisuke
daisuke has everything. money, looks, fame - he can't even buy you something extravagant. he's still saving up for your birthday, doing overtime and stuff while still buying you small gifts when daisuke can just give you the whole world with a snap of his finger

a/n: the title is totally not one i had for an alex turcotte blurb i wrote one year ago that i never posted. also thanks to the anon who requested it. hope you like it.
Chase and you had been just friends. It had been that way since you met him. But as always you had to fuck it up and catch feelings.
You weren't sure when it happened. Maybe after spending every single moment together talking about whatever came to your guys mind. Or when you fell asleep in his arms after a long day. Or maybe the way he laughed at your stupid jokes because he actually thought they were funny and not just to make you feel better after no one else laughed.
It happened at some point in the middle of that and here you were, present day trying to push those feelings away. It was dumb. Falling for your best friend. I mean what did you expect. For him to tell you he was in love with you too and live happily ever after. Except this wasn't some hallmark christmas movie. This was real life.
Every single time you saw him butterflies would swarm your stomach, not literally but it sure seemed like it. You guys were hanging at a mutual friend's house. Watching movies in the basement, not much to do late at night.
Cuddling in his arms and laughing at whatever joke one of your friends told. Somehow watching movies led to truth or dare at some point and now it was your turn to choose.
"Y/N truth or dare." Your friend asked you, a childish smile displayed on their face. You rolled your eyes on how a group of teenagers got their source of fun but you continued on.
"Truth." You said. You knew truth couldn't be worse than dare right? Well as the question came out of your friends mouth you knew you should have picked dare.
"Tell us who you have a crush on." Your eyes averted. There wasn't really a point in telling them the actual truth, that the guy you had a crush on was literally less than three feet away. I mean no one had to know except you and your feelings.
"Oh uhm. Jake yeah jake." You blurted out a name of some random dude in your history class as you avoided Chase's line of vision. Chase's heart dropping a little at the mention of the random kid who was sort of a jerk to you. You really hoped that they would believe you or drop it and go to the next person.
"Wait Jake in history. He's like super rude to you. Why do you like him?" Chase asked. Of course he had to pull the protective best friend act.
"I don't know he's kinda cute." You shrugged, not really sure what to say. You were glad one of your friends continued the game.
Now Chase pushed his feelings down. Saying it was just one of those things that happens in boy girl friendships. You think they're cute and you might have a crush on them but it quickly passes. But for Chase it hadn't passed.
You guys were at school the next day and you and your friend were at your locker before six period. (you had sixth with Chase and you guys always walked together.)
So as he was approaching he got snippets of the conversation. "I think you should ask Jake out before it's too late. I heard he and Matty might have a thing going on" You rolled your eyes not really enjoying the topic of conversation.
"I don't know i'm kind of not looking to date right now." You soon stopped as you saw Chase approach. Waving goodbye to your other friend and walking arm and arm with Chase.
Chase knew that you didn't not want to date. I mean you practically talked to him on the daily on how lonely you were and just wanted someone to go on cute dates with you. So he hatched up a plan. It wasn't a smart plan and he might ruin everything that you guys had already but he was determined.
So after school as you did homework there was a soft knock on your door. There stood Chase with a bouquet of flowers. "Chase what are you doing here?" You asked not really planning on seeing him until tonight.
"Let's go out just me and you." He said with a small smile on his face as he took in your appearance. He loved it when you had your studious look on.
"Go out? Where to?" You asked confused. Now you didn't really have anything planned and it always did take you a while to plan. So you rushed up to your room to change and called one of your friends.
"Uhm ok so I don't know what's going on and I'm kind of freaking out cause I think something is happening but i don't want to get my hopes up." You spoke out breathless as you slipped into an outfit.
"Woah woah slow down. What's going on?". Your friend spoke out on the other line trying to understand your word's.
"Chase is here at my house. with flowers and he wants to go out." You said finally taking it all in.
"Y/N i think he's asking you out."
"No. No, that's not possible." You said replying to them but more to yourself trying to come up with a reasonable explanation. You muttered a thanks and hung up.
If Chase did have feelings for you why didn't he act upon them sooner. Realizing that maybe it was the same reason that you didn't, because you didn't want to change anything. You wanted to keep everything the way it was between you two + somehow being something more than friends.
You soon came out and looked at Chase. A small smile on both of your faces. "Uhm well ok let's do this." You said as both of you walked out arm and arm. Let's just say that many things were said that night and you were glad that you agreed to going out together just the two of you.

cee!!! i have some more, amazing date ideas!!!
1) baking date- for when you're stuck in lockdown, you can just go to each other's house and bake something great and yummy together!! it'd be so fun, just hoping it doesn't start a food fight and end in kitchen counter sex and suddenly all the food is unhygienic now :)
2) laundry date- could be more suited to couples who've been going out for a while now but imagine meeting at a laundromat at a time where it's usually empty and just hanging out together till your clothes are being washed. Sex on the machine seems super hot.
3) puzzle date/doing something together- kinda inspired by your painting date, but imagine getting a giant drawing printed and then colouring in it with pencil colours, and they both start from the opposite ends, or could start from anywhere for poly relationships! and it's a race, kind of... can do anything together, maybe make sweaters or make journals, doing absolutely anything seems fun. You can paint rocks or put face masks on, anything!!!
4) game dates- you could play games with each other, like on a beach, you both can go around finding a beautiful stones for each other or a bit on the nsfw side, go to a bookstore and pick out books, now read the sexiest parts of the books to each other (i feel like librarian joon would love this)
5) thrifting dates- where you go with your partner and pick out new clothes for each other, or yourself, I'm kinda squirming imaging two girls laughing so much and picking pretty clothes for each other and just- 🥺 so cute!! you can spice it up a bit like, going to a mall and picking up the ugliest pair of clothes for each other and you have to wear it for the whole day and act if you're the best looking person in the town
6) work out dates- dates gymrat!kook would love but yeah YOU CAN WORK OUT TOGETHER!! it'd be so fun, or sexy, depends on your perspective lol. You can go hiking together, or go for a run and so much other stuff!! it'd be basically like a taking a trip together.
7) skating dates- skating at 2 in the morning or hanging out at the graveyard late night. this is more of a grunge aesthetic date, but it'd be so fun!! you can also click those aesthetic pictures that all over pinterest and those would hurt so good when you've broken up, but yeah!! it is something tho!! more on the softer side, you can go stargazing with them.
8) blanket fort dates- a bit childish, but super fun (I've done this!!) make a blanket fort with a hundred pillows and fairy lights and lots and lots of food and just movies and it's so cozy, i swear there is no better feeling than this and you just fall in love with the person you see under those lights.
9) theatre/art dates- for art hoe couples, (Taehyung basically and joon too tbh) where you go see a drama or a play in a theatre together cuz they're super rad and so fucking underrated. maybe go see an old museum or anywhere where you can gather information about your town, it's super inspirational. Also, these are the kind of dates from where you can keep the tickets and stick it in your journal as a momento or something.
i have sooooooo many more ideas but i feel like i should stop. I'm sorry i just had to share these 😭😭 I'm in love with the idea of being so in love with someone and making so many good memories that should hurt so so good when you break up and just- imma stop :)

PARTY FAVOURS I CHAPTER 18

TWs/Summary: We stan ✨women in science✨. Bruce uwu. Twitter social media AU nobody asked for. Stephen and Tony are dicks and I'm not talking about their anatomy. Setting up mood for Bruce smut, ngl. PTSD makes things spicy. I'm depressed so please be kind ✌🏻💀🙃
"I really do wonder how can you two fit those egos of yours in your pants," I kept my tone forcefully casual, cheerful even. "Why don't you just fuck already?"
I was met with stunned silence. Suddenly, the room seemed far too large and the people in much too quiet, staring at me with various expressions of horror obvious in their faces. As the strange friendship began developing between me and the team, my "outbursts" - how Steve liked to call them - lessened considerably. I had no need to provoke them into giving me attention, just striking up a casual chat was enough. The Avengers were great conversationalists, to my surprise.
Tony and Stephen, when paired, were the exception. I could count on one hand the amount of times they successfully came to a conclusion without fighting like cats and dogs. It was like each man had made it a personal mission to verbally top the other, more often than not resulting in a thirty-minute shitshow ending with one storming off in a dramatic flourish. It was mind-boggling how two supremely intelligent men could not find a way to communicate efficiently without infuriating the rest of the team.
Plus me. One way or another, I was almost always around. In the beginning, it was hilarious to see the free circus but it got old really quickly when they couldn't decide on dinner or a movie, leaving the rest of us starving and bored. Or the great Cloak debate - that one lasted days and the fussy thing was so upset, it point blank refused to part from Peter for a substantial amount of time. It's pretty fucking creepy that a semi-sentient, ancient piece of outerwear watches you when you sleep - just sayin'. I personally interjected with my own snark and sass whenever Tony and Stephen got too heated, successfully drawing the attention to myself. The fight broke up and I had amazing sex with Tony later, it was a win-win scenario.
Yet, Tony and Stephen didn't stop. To me, their way of "talking" (and I use that term loosely) looked a lot like unresolved sexual tension. Stephen frequently used his greater height to tower over Tony in a childish attempt to establish dominance; the engineer was no rookie and responded with extravagant peacocking such as "subtly" tapping the bracelet that hosted his nanotech suit or parading at dinner in a $30,000 custom made designer outfit. Because Tony could.
I was pleasantly surprised when Natasha started laughing at my remark. Full-blown, belly laugh. Those were rare, coming from the Widow, her usual mirth was quiet, sophisticated, just like her. Deadly (adorable). Bucky followed suit, snorting together with Clint and Loki.
Steve looked none too pleased with me. But then again, was he ever? "Doll, don't be rude."
"Brat," Bruce said at the same time, palming his face.
"People always call me a brat. And guess what, Steve?" I popped my hip, twirling a cotton candy pink coloured Dum-Dum between my fingers. "What can you do about it? Nothing," I shrugged, leaning my head against Bruce's shoulder affectionately.
Steve just shook his head in disappointment. "Can we get back on topic? Please?"
"Captain, I think that Stark..." Strange began talking with Tony dramatically groaning in the background and I instantly tuned out the useless babble. Steve should've been smarter and revoked speaking rights from Tony and Stephen. Or asked Loki to magically render them both mute for ten minutes.
"You're not wrong," Bruce quietly whispered next to my ear. "Ten bucks says Wanda meddles and those two finally work out their frustrations," The scientist hid a grin against my head. I felt the amused, giddy energy radiating off him like a plasma beam.
"I don't even have to bet," I rolled my eyes. "If she doesn't do it, I will."
Both Tony and Stephen were throwing me equally infuriated glances. One promised me a good, hard fucking and the other saw me a short, poisonous lecture on appropriate behaviour in the nearest future - you can guess which is which. If I had it my way, I'd skip the lecture and go straight to a hot, filthy threesome with two men twice my age. I wasn't blind, Strange was hot as hell and could be decent and even nice once in a blue moon.
He could, but he wouldn't be. I wanted that raw, unadulterated lust, tension so concentrated it walked the razor's edge between violent craving and repulsion. Ever since the incident with Clint, I had this ugly mess inside of me, like a live wire about to snap. My brain was constantly racing, darting between how utterly useless I am in a group of supers and embracing my normal-ness, amplifying it by hosting game nights and spending time trying to convince people to start a dungeons and dragons campaign. Or something.
My sleep was like Swiss cheese, riddled with holes where I stayed awake for one or two hours at a time in the middle of the night after waking up sweaty, with my heart hammering out of my chest. Sometimes I dreamt of Clint's lifeless, sickly white body, sometimes the whole room flooded with blood and I couldn't stop it no matter what, there was so much of it, I drowned in it, I startled up with the taste of it in my mouth. Rarely, the worst of it came - the one where Clint was alive as millions of millions of little fluorescent, poisonous jellyfish burst out of him and he screamed and screamed and screamed...
I had PTSD. Yay, me. As if my uselessness wasn't enough of a burden, my brain decided for me that it wasn't good enough that I saved Clint and now it was punishing me for being close to a group of people who routinely saved the WORLD.
I contemplated my usual habits - going to a party, getting trashed and dancing until my legs were numb. I just wanted to shut my brain off for a moment, give it a hard reset so-to-say, but with Tony on my back like a jet-pack, I didn't doubt he'd show up to the place and drag me out of there even if I was kicking and screaming. And he was a Stark, a billionaire, so visiting my dad in Cali wouldn't be possible on my own. Tony would gas up the jet and the rest of the team would find and excuse to tag along, too. As much as I loved being the baby menace who could get away with anything, I hated the way they all herded me, like I was an actual child. I couldn't get away from myself, not even for a moment.
I had the backup-backup plan and I was going to have to execute it. Desperate times, desperate measures. "I don't doubt y'all enjoy listening to Tony and Steph flirt," The nickname escaped unmoderated from my lips before I could catch myself. "But what are we doing for Halloween? I need to know if I gotta get a costume," Bruce chuckled next to me and wrapped an arm around me, happy for the distraction. Unlike me, the scientist was obligated to listen and participate in the avengers-themed discussion. Which was difficult because the engineer and the sorcerer constantly bickered, inadvertently taking over the talk.
"Halloween?" Steve groaned.
"We should do something," Bucky side-eyed his boyfriend. "For the children." Something told me he wasn't thinking of the children, at all. The man was positively leering, probably thinking about what kind of a tight suit he could convince Steve to squeeze into.
"A party!" Tony immediately exclaimed, interrupting Stephen mid-setence.
"Tony, no," Steve stated firmly.
"Tony, YES!" Clint perked up. "A snack bar. A bar-bar."
"I will not be helping you all if you get alcohol poisoning," Stephen crossed his arms.
"So it's a party," I stated firmly, throwing a contemplating look at Wanda and Pietro. The twins looked unsure but excited. I knew I could count on fellow young people to support my decision to have fun, dance a little, drink a little. Let loose. To nail my point, I turned to Bruce with a mischievous smirk. "Fifty bucks says Stephen is too stuck up to show up in costume."
"Beg pardon?!" The sorcerer exclaimed. His eyebrows threatened to meet his hairline.
"I think you give him too little credit, Princess," Bruce winked at me and we solemnly shook hands. It was great having a fellow partner in mischief. Loki's approving smirk just sealed the deal for me.
"It's not my fault you sometimes act like you have a stick up your butt," I gave in the way of explanation, shrugging my shoulders innocently in Stephen's direction. "I'm just pointing out the obvious."
"I don't dare to imagine what's been up yours," The sorcerer retorted dryly, in an uncharacteristically childish fashion, arms still crossed. It almost looked like he was pouting.
"Tony," I simply said, leering salaciously at the man.
"Ooh, kinky," Clint reached over and we promptly high-fived each other in the wake of multiple embarrassed groans emanating around the room. "Strange, you're a boring old man, get over it."
"And you regularly end up in dumpsters, Barton," Strange retorted quickly. "Not my idea of fun."
"You wouldn't know fun if it hit you in the face!" Tony grinned triumphantly, confident in his superiority over Strange. Look at that, the team was doing the work for me and I didn't even have to try.
"I'll show you fun," Stephen retorted darkly. It was obvious the man was planning something.
"Ok, boomer," I raised my eyebrows in muted satisfaction before turning around and grabbing Bruce to drag along with me. "I'm confiscating your best scientist to amuse myself. I am bored. We will go and do actual science whilst y'all argue. Bye."
My patience had run out. We were examining the parasites we found in the murder-anthropods-from-space, codename MAFS, courtesy of yours truly, and their amazing properties to penetrate cell membranes and feed on metals in organic life forms. Without Bruce's help I understood maybe half of it but he had the patience of a saint and dutifully and understandably explained to me the finer points of studying aliens. Signing half a dozen NDAs was never more worth it.
Steve's sigh consisted of 99% suffering and 2% disappointment. Natasha face-palmed silently in the corner, clutching a mug of coffee, a poster child for existential dread.
"Wait for me," Tony whined, going for the door and promptly being stopped by Steve pointing out the team needing his input on one mission or another. The engineer sighed. "Baby girl, don't let the green mean to start any experiments without me." Tony instructed, pointing an accusatory finger in our direction.
I clutched at Bruce dramatically, feigning hurt feelings and was rewarded with a swift motion of his arms. I shrieked delightfully at being thrown over the scientist's shoulder as he hastened his pace towards the elevator, hightailing it out of there. "I'd never snitch on science daddy," I wiggled my eyebrows in Tony's direction, sticking a hand down the back pocket of Bruce's pants, dangling over his shoulder like a happy sack of potatoes.
The lab smelled strongly of alcohol and bitter chemicals, the solution that Bruce developed to ensure the optimal state of the alien pathogens. The man's genius never ceased to amaze me: Bruce came up with the needed formula in the span of a few hours while running low on sleep, post a Hulk-out session.
We put on our protective gear - "science onesies" I called them - along with a respirator and goggles and set to the segregated part of the lab where the specimens were kept under a blue light. The glass wall between Bruce's and Tony's lab was dimmed; I reflected in it, looking positively futuristic in my double-stacked white platformed boots and white hazmat suit.
"Wait," I motioned to Bruce to come over.
"Oh, right, our music," He was already half-way to being in total Science Mode. "Friday, please put on the "Get Schwifty" playlist, 60% volume."
The playlist that me and Bruce came up with for our lab sessions. The man was such an adorable dork. Thirty percent my music, thirty percent of his indie rock shit and forty percent 00's bops. In other words, utter perfection.
I finally managed to fish out my phone from my pants. "No, let's take a selfie," I struck an impressive pose and pointed the camera as Avril Lavigne sung the first verse to Sk8r Boi.
Bruce laughed but abided by the request, giving me bunny ears in the photo, tapping the fingers of his other hand on my waist to the rhythm of the song.
"He was a skater boy, she said see ya later boy!" I sang along, switching my Instagram to stories and posting the short clip of us just vibing with the caption #sciencetime, Bruce laughing openly behind his respirator. I looked cute and silly in my outfit.
"Send the video to me, I'll post it on my Twitter," Bruce requested. I indulged him then put my phone away, ready to conquer the world of microbiology. Or die trying. Science was calling...

I have no idea if you have watched this or not but: Loki! for the ask game
Oooh I have! Here we go:
favorite male character: I'm torn between Loki and Mobius. I've always loved Loki but tbh this show really did NOT impress me with his characterization, so I'll say Mobius #vivalajetski
favorite female character: Sylvie. Her relationship with Loki was SO interesting right up until THAT happened and I'm really looking forward to seeing more of her in season 2, and maybe other parts of the MCU too! She had such an interesting way of being hurt but still soft, and I think in general she's the sort of female character we deserve to see more of in tv.
least favorite character: There wasn't really a character that I strongly disliked in this show, actually. I was pretty underwhelmed by He Who Remains; it feels like the "incredibly-powerful-being-who-is-just-a-silly-childish-goofball" thing has been done to death. I'd like to see a little more nuance, and from what we've seen of this dude so far (and I've been told he's someone very cool, so that will be nice) he didn't feel all that special.
prettiest character: Sylvie. Have you seen those gorgeous floofy curls? The entire first half of the last episode while I was being bored by the plot and whatever I was just staring at her hair. I love it, and she's just such a cutie.
funniest character: Mobius. We all owe Owen Wilson SO MUCH because he KILLED IT as Mobius, and his particular brand of comedy was just perfect for this character.
favorite season: Well there is only one so far, but fingers crossed this won't be my favourite one lol that would be big bad news
favorite episode: 1.4 - The Nexus Event. Watching these two Lokis running around, wreaking mild havoc, and learning things about themselves/each other was so much fun. It was such a cool idea to have Loki meet an alternate version of himself who is in so many ways like him, though still different enough to not be a complete clone. And this episode takes place at a point when there was just... so much potential...
favorite romantic ship: I don't even know. I mean disclaimer, I am moderate-to-severely aromantic, and I know I have a tendency to not realise a relationship is supposed to be romantic without someone spoon-feeding it to me. I watched this show with my mom and after episode 4 I spent like an entire day thinking about it and then finally asked her if this was supposed to be a romantic relationship or like a "long-lost twin" relationship (which is how I had been thinking of it) and she was like "yeah Mav it's definitely romantic." Which I wasn't like... opposed to? It felt a little weird, but I was like "okay I can get behind this they DO have great chemistry and could be so good for each other" but then the execution was just fucked. They had me, then they pretty much lost me. Loki/Mobius I think never really hooked me either because so much of their interaction is Loki acting very unlike himself, (in my opinion), so though I LOVE Mobius I think the dynamic didn't feel right to me because it didn't seem like LOKI.
That said... All three of them together I can get behind. Fun Ride
Pairing: Patrick Verona x Reader
Summary: You and Patrick decided to go to an amusement park to have some fun and spend time together.
Genre: Fluff (there will be a sassy koala, also known as Patrick Verona 🐨)
Word count: 640
While Patrick was still in school, you were at home watching a movie by yourself and eating popcorn. You’ve already finished high school, but Patrick, despite being the same age as you, hasn't, since he hated school, so he was consistently skipping classes. However, since your relationship started, you insisted on the fact that he needed to go to school because you cared for him and that way he would finish school sooner, so now you were on your own until he returned.
You were tired of being at home all day, so you tried to think of every possible place you could go just to go out with Patrick as soon as he gets home. That's when an advert appeared on the TV: an amusement park had an exceptional promotion "two tickets for the price of one for the lovely couples!". It was like they were reading your mind, so you got excited and thought of inviting Pat to come with you. It was the perfect opportunity for your adventurous personality! When the second part of the movie started, you couldn't concentrate anymore because of your excitement.
Moments later, you heard the front door open, so you knew that your lover was finally home.
"Hey there girly, how you doin'?" he asked upon entering your shared bedroom.
"I'm great, what about you? How was school?"
"Very entertaining as always, definitely can't wait for tomorrow." he said with a tired smile on his face. When he put his backpack on the ground, he immediately jumped on you, kissing you all over the face making you giggle uncontrollably.
"Baby, stop!" you said laughing, since he decided to tickle you after covering your face with delicate kisses.
"I just can't help myself, I missed that foolish laugh of yours way too much." he admitted to you.
"But I have something to tell you!" you hardly said because of your lack of air from laughing so hard.
"What is it? Did you decide to go back to school so I don't have to endure those idiots alone?"
"No, not that silly!" you said playfully. "I was wondering if you wanted to go to the amusement park with me tonight. It will be so fun!" you invited him, now more visibly enthusiastic.
"An amusement park? And I am the childish one?"
"Come on Pat, I'm sure you will love it!" after seeing your excitement about this, he decided to accept your request.
"Ok, fine... but only if you reward me later." He said boldly with a smile from ear to ear.
"Oh my God, you are so..."
"Charming?" he answered for you, before winking confidently at you.
"I wasn't going to say that, but yeah, that too, handsome. Soo, is that a yes?"
"Sure, anything for my queen." he then kissed you, this time more slowly and intensely, meaning every word.
That night was wonderful: you two ate ice-cream (he was always stealing some of yours), rode roller coasters together, played and laughed with each other... he even won a huge teddy bear for you!
"Choose the one you want, babe" he said after winning the game.
"This one! He's soo cute!" you chose, excited, because from now on, everytime you missed your lovely boyfriend, you would have the company of your new lifeless, yet super cute fluffy friend. "Thank you so much, love. It means a lot to me." you thanked him, giving him a quick kiss.
"No problem, sweet cheeks." he said, after happily returning the passionate kiss.
The rest of the night, you two tried every possible toy available on the park. In the end of it, you two were exhausted, yet it was for the best reasons.
"Soo, is this the moment where I get rewarded?" he said once you entered your house, while hugging you from behind and pressing soft kisses along your neck.
"Sure, pretty boy. You deserved it."

I decided to make a fully revamped version of my original ideas for TS3, especially since so many new programs and whatnot are coming out to enhance the game itself. Amazing creators, programmers, and those who write tutorials help make this possible, and for TS3 to keep going. They are to be thanked profusely! I'm definitely not a programmer, but learning from the tutorials, I'm learning to make tattoos, makeup, and hopefully convert some poses from TS4.
...that is, if all goes well on my end. Trial and error, people---trial and error.
I've tried researching a lot of these between different Sims wikis and stuff--but I know not everything is super detailed. :/
Alright, let's get into it. These are personally things I would like to see in my game, mind you. We'll start with the most obvious one.

X - TS3 Conversions (( EA preferably; TS1/TS2/TS4/TSM/TSM:P&N/Stories/Castaway/Freeplay/etc. )):
~ Build/buy/CAW (( in-depth TS4 document here -- still working on the others ))

Mods/game enhancements/activities/skills/hobbies/new interactions:
~ A mod that changes a "family relation" to another (( ie; cousin, grandparent, uncle, etc. )) in-game. I'm not sure what you call this, but nothing exists for it. I have a pair of (( created )) Sims who are siblings in the game, but they are meant to be cousins. I don't really want to go about and go the freaking long way around for make a pair of sisters who get have kids who are cousins and then kill off said mothers, just to make them cousins, you know? I'd have to do that to ALL my character Sims. >__> I'd like to to go and click NRAAS, select "change family relation", and click on cousin, or whatever other option I want to choose for that particular Sim. Does that make sense?
~ Plopsy App (( to sell items on ))
~ Simstagram (( on phone ))
~ Dating app (( on phone ))
~ Pay bills by phone
~ More activities on computers (( based on TS2/TS4, but other fun stuff as well! ))
~ Pen-pals (( like in TS4 )) with postcards from other worlds
~ TS2 & TS4 TV channels added to the TV (( all videos files under new TV station names )), plus Movies On Demand (( would be amazing for movie night, PLUS a drive-in theatre/movie theatre! ))
~ Better yoga (( with TS4 animations, and maybe some of the TS2 yoga animations--I always loved with they went up on one finger when they peaked the skill )) with children and teens added
~ More outdoor activities, such as: skiing, hiking, jogging, log rolling, ax-throwing, rock-climbing, snowboarding
~ Crank/prank calling for YA/A and older--maybe with certain traits? I feel like childish or inappropriate Sims would do that. Also, maybe with the TS1/TS2 cards, because those were pretty fun.
~ To go with the above; pranks for YA and older Sims, perhaps also based on certain traits (( also basing both cranks/pranks on TS1/TS2/TS4 )). Exactly WHY did older Sims not get a chance to pull pranks? I don't get that.
~ Usable/workable holiday cracker, Lin-Z, space heater, punching bag, roombas, hammock, ear buds
~ Writing in a journal (( based on Sims 2 & Sims 4 ))
~ Programming
~ New skills/activities/craftable/whatever this would be categorized (( based on TS2/TS4/TSM )): cross-stitching, candle making, fabricator, juice fizzing, herbalism, woodworking, invention constructor, flower arranging, blacksmithing, mining, brewing (( I have pirates that would LOVE this )), vacuuming, sword-fighting/dueling
~ A more moveable broom, based on TS4 brooms (( I saw this in a group I'm on on FB--they thought maybe the jetpack would help if said broom was modded ))
~ Hospital/personal Sim: breastfeeding, teens can get acne/zits like in TS2 & use cream for it, more diseases/illnesses (( based on TS2/TS4/TSM )), menstrual for female teen-adult Sims (( I thought there WAS one, but perhaps more improved? )), revamped hospital mod

Again, these are things I'd like personally for my game, and I will probably add to this in the future. I do seemingly cater to my pirates quite a bit, too. xD
Having said this, I do know of people working or experimenting on some stuff mentioned above, or I have requested certain items to be converted--which I deeply appreciate!--and this list isn't meant to take away from their ideas or anything. Sometimes great minds DO think alike, but some are better at getting it done than others. XD For the majority of my list however, IS based off the Sims franchises.
