whenever rika’s character gets to participate in event chats, there’s always discourse over cheritz trying to make her likable because she’s not being overtly Evil(tm).... but idk man!! it’s the only time we actually get to get mundane rika dialogue that isn’t the rfa overly praising her past image, her abusing saeran, or her and v’s pretentious relationship. she’s just Dumb and it’s funny for no other reason than the fact that she’s a walking disaster and everyone expects her to be in charge. like none of it ever erases what it does or even contradicts it. her ridiculousness is just there for us to laugh lol

Sipping coffee was always a signal to a start of a new morning for him. The coffee maker was still on, his eyes focused on his cup. Another day which will probably be full of dread and annoyances... but that was still better than whatever he experienced back then. The whole world was against him... Or well them. The world was not friendly--- he learned that in a fairly young age. Bullets were tools, words were weapons... He knew all that the hard way. He pressed the button immediately once he noticed the cup was almost full. "I should stop dwelling over the past, I am now in the Protezioni." He wanted to say this in repeat to destroy intruding thoughts, but it didn't work at the end. If he stayed there, God knows what will happen... A chance that he would have died much sooner than he wanted to.
The world was never nice to him, and the wounds that would stay forever proved it.
He closed his eyes shut before holding his head tightly. He hated those memories, the moment he was taken away was the start of everything... He never understood why his parents would have allowed him to do such thing as a young age... Was it because they have nothing left to do? Was it because they had no choice? Or was it because they didn't need him anymore? He would never know because every face of his family members was a blur... All he remembered were the people he had to deal with for so much years--- a saying was drilled into his head... You aren't going to live for so long if you stay weak. That's why he had to mask the pain, that's why he allowed his blood to be a stain. That's why he had to be strong, or his life span wouldn't be long...
He settled the cup down, but now he scratched his head harsher. He was irritated, he was angry. At no one but himself. Why did he have this thoughts so early in the morning despite not even having a sip of coffee yet? He didn't even go on the table when he was called for breakfast... His body refused to get up, but now he wished he did. Maybe talking to the members was a pain sometimes, but deep down he knew--- Their conversations made him relieved. They were humans who did care, pretty stupid most of the time, but they did show their way of caring. He needed some reminders through little gesture. Maybe that's what why he had some intrusive thoughts. He did end up locking himself in the room to isolate himself so he could work and---
"INCOMING!" A yell from the other side of the room echoed and before he had the chance to spin around, he felt a strong force that almost made him stumble and push the cup of coffee he had on the table. "There- HAH! I'm taller than you now. Now you're the tiny one." She jokingly insulted as she gripped his shoulders. "Are you gonna support me or do I have to be a tree climber myself?" She raised an eyebrow and her little pout became a grin the moment she felt him hold her legs so she could have a proper piggyback position. "Why thank you! Aren't you so kind?" She chuckled and began ruffling his hair with one of her hands. "What's up, Brenny Boo? Did Nomura make your gunpowder into am energy drink again?"
He only blinked a couple of times before shaking his head. "He did that yesterday, not today. I didn't even see him yet, nor any other member. At most, I only heard Miss Rika knock on the door and call my name I could eat breakfast with the rest." He explained to her, but he sounded pretty dead. "I may have regretted my decision for staying so long. That was a mistake I did." He remarked and he felt a sharp pain on his shoulder. "... Why?" He questioned to why she suddenly clutched his shoulder with all she got. He did not receive any feedback until he turned his head a bit. She only got more clingy as he tried to take a good look on her face.
"Are you thinking about the past again?" Bullseye. She knew him very well. She wrapped her arms around his head, allowing her body to give more weight for him to carry. "How many times should I state that our pain is already over? The moment Mom Rika allowed us to stay, it was already a victory for us. You shouldn't think of it too much." She began playing with some strands of his hair and he shook his head, disagreeing with her idea. She only raised an eyebrow, wondering why he had that kind of response. "I'm surprised you are disagreeing with me. Was something I said wrong?"
He released her without warning, but she was fast enough to land on her own two feet. Her hands on her hips, but a pout on her lips... She wanted to ask him once again, but once he began speaking- she knew he heard her. "The pain never stops, we live in a world where only pain is our tutor and tears are our fights." He spoke up before lookkng down. "The world is cruel enough to destroy everything we have, we just don't know when it will happen... And I'm scared of that happening. I don't want anyone taken away from me." He ran his hand through his hair before he sighed. "I'm sorry for thinking about before, but these thoughts always appear when I'm alone for too long. Unlike you... I was only a machine to them. A body with no soul."
Without any more words, she decided to climb back on his bag. This took him by surprise, but he didn't even try to shake her off. "Fuck them then, and fuck the whole world too while you're at it." She hugged him from the back, and he was too busy trying to make sure she doesn't fall because she did it too quick and sudenly this time. This time, he wasn't too prepared. "You're not a machine, dumbass. You're a human, and we'll treat you right until your brain remembers that. Once you forget those shitty time, I promise you--- the Protezioni will make more valuable memories in exchange. We won't back down without a fight."
There were no words, only humming as she played with his hair. She didn't know what to add to that, and she had thoughts of her own. "Thank you, you helped. You always do." Finally, the silence was broken and with that--- her thoughts changed.
"Heh. Of course. Now that I did my job... Bring me to the living room!"
"But my coffee-"
"FORWARD MARCH, BREN!"
hospital :   my  muse  awakens  in  a  hospital,  finding  your  muse  by  their  side,  asking  what  happened.
Who was in the right mind to damage her this much? Who was in the right mind to hurt somebody he cared about? He rushed to the medic room of the Protezioni house, quickly busting in the door before moving closer to a woman he recognized so well. Her eyes still closed, but her breathing steady and all her wounds now patched up. He carefully tucked her hair behind her ear, still feeling the worry in his chest. She might have been doing well as of now, but was she truly okay? He looked up for a moment, seeing Yuri and Sepheir communicate some steps away from the bed.
Yuri gave a brief nod to Sepheir, before looking back at him. "She will be okay. Allow her to rest and she will wake up over time." She explained the situation to him and he still looked worried about her. Of course he was. "You can stay if you want to, I am sure she would love to see you when she wakes up." She bluntly stated, causing the man to blush. Before he could actually deny any feelings she assumed he had (which she never brought up), she began walking away. "I will still have to look at the other injuries. Some dumbasses think their injuries weren't that serious and went back to their rooms."
The door was shut carefully and he only watched the door close. His focus went back to the woman who was currently at a state of sleep. When was she going to wake up? When will she... He leaned closer to her, observing things he could take note of. She took a couppe of bullet shots and still decided to go on a fight... She even won! Yet once she knew she won the battle, her whole body suddenlt gave up on her... She allowed the pain to take over. She may have reassured everybody she was okay while she was still bleeding- but she didn't realize the amount of blood that escsped through the wounds on her body. She was strong, he knew. However, she wasn't immortal.
Losing her was too much of a risk... He didn't want history to repeat itself... He didn't want to lose another person, he wanted to be there for her--- He couldn't fail again. Not again. He held her hand in his, before leaning in a bit. He knew she would be fine, but there was still that kind of fear that he could lose her anytime. Sepheir watched them for a moment before removing her gloves and removing her mask. "I shall give you some private time, Mister Akira." She took the time to step out of the room to give them some time alone. "But if you need anything, just call my name. I'll be able to notice." She told him this as she leaned on the closed door. "I'll be here on time."
After a few hours, he did not notice how he started to doze off as he held her hands in between his. He was waiting for the whole time, not even thinking about the possible meals that passed by or about his own comfortable way of sleeping. He may not notice but the woman he waited for finally opened her eyes as she immediatelt recognized the person sitting next to the bed. She blinked a couple of times, but instead of pulling her hand away from him- she gave it a firm squeeze. No words, no speaking- only a stare and her gripping. She noticed how his eyes began to slowly open and she began rubbing his hand with her thumb, only humming a slightly audible tune.
"Rika! You're awake!" He let go of her hands and began stroking her hair. "Thank goodness... If you didn't wake up, I wouldn't know what to do..." He began muttering words and she began pulling him closer to give him a hug. He didn't mind her doing this, he only gave her a hug back, being a bit cautious because of the wounds that were all over her. "What happened? What exactly happened? Ko was able to give me the gist of it all, but if there is something more from it, tell me. I swear I will make sure that the person gets what they deserve."
Rika pulled him closer so she could play with his hair and give the top of his head tiny kisses. "Mmm... I think Ko dear told you everything, there is nothing more to it... But don't worry, the person is already gone. I was not going to allow myself to fall unless I won the fight, Akira." She reassures him and he didn't say anything for a good minute, causing Rika to worry. "Huh? Are you okay? Did I do something?" He snapped back to reality to shake his head, his face red. He was sure she wasn't able to tell because his head was currently buried on her. "If... If you say so..."
"All I need to say is that I am glad you are fine, Rika." He finally goes off her, after he felt the heat on his cheeks die down. "If something happened to you, I wouldn't know how to forgive myself." His voice was softened and she began sitting up. "No-! Wait-! You should stay down and rest-"
She cupped his cheeks before placing her forehead on his. "No, even if something did happen- Forgive yourself. There are people who still need you besides me. So if something does happen, continue staying strong like you always are."
He didn't know what to say that moment... Because he didn't know if he could promise that.
