Hmmm. I don't know how recently is recently but like, I celebrated my birthday last month and I didn't do anything big or extra with my friends like usual but decided to just celebrate it with family and invite my friends for this. Like I said, usually I separate this and celebrate on two days instead of one.

I don't have many friends irl, only like 3 (excluding my bf) and one of them was away ond a week long trip because when they planned said trip I still planned to celebrate separately so that was fine (they told me they could come back early but I told them not to, cause we can always meet up once they were back). Both my other friends said they'd come, however one of them said that on that day they have something related to their dancing class and they'd therefore join us later, which I was also compeltely fine with!

On the day of my birthday they wrote me a message that they'd definetely come over today. So I celebrated my birthday, that one friend arrived as planned yadda yadda but my other friend didn't arrive. I checked the time over and over again, my other friend asked if they still planned on coming over or not but they didn't answer, we worried obviously. Around midnight I accepted that they'd not come over and just worried.

When I woke up the next day I ahd received a message from them saying they were sorry they couldn't make it and something got in the way. I said it was fine and was just glad they were okay.

HOWEVER. When I checked their status on our messaging app I saw the reason they didn't come and weren't able to tell. They were drunk. Blackout drunk. Completely shitfaced. Instead of staying sober or just drink less than they usually do in order to still come over for my birthday, they instead decided to get so drunk that they had to sleep over at a friend's place.

I'm STILL pissed at that, specially cause I don't consume alcohol anymore as I learned that it ruins more than it give fun and knowing that they decided it was more important to get drunk than come visit me kinda hurt.

I think this would make an amazing story with betrayal and hurt and all that stuff lol like some show on tv
