There is SO MANY things about the finale that anger me. Idk where to truly start, but here’s one:

The fact that Marinette was going to let Alya keep the fox.

But no! We’ve got to have Alya willingly accept consequences this time - even when Marinette was not going to hold her to it - because then Marinette would’ve had SOMEONE for a backup hero to rely on that wasn’t Chat Noir and we just can’t have that can we?

Any other time I’d have been fine with Alya getting the fox revoked (as she’s not been the most trustworthy confidant), but not like this!

Also I thought part of the whole change in design (even if just a recolor) and monicker to Rena Furtive was to act like Rena Rouge got replaced by someone else? So Shadow Moth wouldn’t target Alya even if he saw the “new” Rena.

Hell, why couldn’t they just do that again but better? Give Alya a new fox hero name (with Rena nowhere in it), completely change the costume/look to where she’d be unrecognizable (not just another recolor) and just have SM think she got replaced for good this time?

Oh! Silly me! Getting a brand new name and look in order to deceive someone into thinking you’re a brand new hero has already been done, right Cat Walker?

Alya: I need to go undercover!

Also Alya: *still calls herself “Rena” and only gives her bodysuit a recolor*

It’s so contrived, my goodness. What’s even worse too is that I can practically see the strings at work here. It really feels like they knew that Marinette would give the miraculous back (because she’s too forgiving and would blame/relate Alya’s actions to herself) and didn’t want her to have anyone but Chat, so they made Alya give it back herself to both get the miraculous out of her hand and to handwave the whole Lila thing away so Alya’s ending for the finale is her looking good by so generously giving the miraculous back.

Also, what this means is that Alya’s knowledge of Marinette’s identity was for little more purpose than the love square (i.e: ticking Chat off to build up to the argument in the finale and blaming Marinette for not sharing stuff with him). She doesn’t receive any actual consequences because all the narrative cared about was using it to tear Marinette down.

Ok, guys let’s get this straight! What about me and my projects now?

Some of you know that things are getting easier for me. Slowly but surely! First of all: Thanks to everyone who has been worried, cheered me up and texted me. Honestly, you are golden! Now that things are more or less settled into something resembling normalcy, I am taking things back into action.

Regarding Art/Commissions: I haven’t been able to do much. During all this time I couldn’t carry around my drawing tablet and well, that happened. Just yesterday I was able to try a sketch of Ladybug from my A Feral Lady fic and I’M SO SLOPPY! Suddenly my desk feels so uncomfortable and hard to draw in. Just give me some time to get used to it again and I’ll finish pending commissions along with art I feel I owe myself and to you all, dear wonderful people who still follow me for my art and I haven’t posted much *sobs*

Zines and other collaborative projects: Luckily some were on hiatus or during process that didn’t need me so they weren’t hindered much if not at all by my absence. Anyway, I’ll join again during the next days and share whatever I’m allowed to about them in due time. I’m very grateful of my friends from those projects for being so understanding over my situation and I’m very sorry for my absence, I’ll return... with weapons!

Regarding Fics and AUs: NOW THIS IS FUN! While I couldn’t take my huge drawing tablet, I certainly was able to take my laptop with me! And you see, I did a lot. I’m not a fast writer at all. And I try to get everything betaed now since I don’t completely trust I’m translating my ideas from my mother language correctly to English but I do what I can to be able to share it with yall ♥ Let me name them, give a summary of it and then tell you what I have in store for it!

Princess Scoop: Pairing: Marichat “A new superhero joined the party. Rena Rouge is a passionate ally with scary reporter and fox tendencies. She was starting to get used to her newfound lifestyle when she discovered something incredible called Marichat.”

Now, let me remind you this was written before Rena Rouge was introduced so it has a non-canon origin to Rena. I honestly have a lot written about this but the third chapter was a huge challenge and ended up split into three parts. And yeah, that’s why it’s been eons and I haven’t posted it yet. But soon, guys, soon. All that writing won’t go to waste. Besides, when I started it I had too specific expectations and I kind of messed up, but now I’m working it in a more relaxed way.

I know you better than that: Pairing: Daminette “Years ago, Marinette started exchanging emails with Damian as a favor for her uncle Alfred. Her first impression of the kid? Annoying and cold. Today, she wouldn't change him for anything. His friendship helped to keep her afloat during hard times especially after becoming Ladybug. Now, Marinette and Alya prepare for a flight to Gotham to meet the frowny bird.”

Chapter 3 is ready and soon to be posted! I have a lot of ideas for it and actually made a huge and wonderful document to plan the story so I’m pretty pumped up! Little secrets from the document along with future sketches will be shared in my Patreon!

A Feral Lady: Pairing: Ladrien “Mister Adrien Agreste has moved to his father abandoned estate in front of a gorgeous forest in the hopes to make new friends, connections, good business and hopefully meet a lovely woman to marry. He never expected this to be the start of close encounters with grievous dangers, witchcraft and fantasy stories becoming real. Who is this mysterious disappeared Miss Marinette he keeps hearing about? And most importantly, does the Werecat that lives in the forest mean him ill will?”

The first chapter is- finally- ready! Actually, it’s been for a long time but I was just very unsure of it, I did some minor adjustments and I think I just should go with it. The second chapter is half-written and I have several original songs for it written too. So what is this fic about? A Feral Lady is basically Beauty and the beast with Jane Austen's influence BUT taking everything from Beauty and The Beast and kind of inverting it. Like I mentioned above, I am doing art for this and will be posted in Patreon before being released here along with the first chapter.

Akumapocalypse: Pairing: Lovesquare Since this AU is kinda huge and I want every single miraculous active, I decided to wait for more info about the characters on S3 to dive into it. Now that there are few miraculous we don’t know about, I was able to easily readapt what I had done with the new info and I can get creative with the others (unless we get leaks while I work in this!) Basically, this AU is pretty much what the name implies, the end of the world at the hands of Akumas. I’ll keep everything else as a surprise!

Oneshots/Other multi chapters: I miiight have mentioned some but honestly, I’m not big into those as much as the others mentioned above. Still, I might finish some one-shots soon and post them between the others, between those there is an akumanette idea, one about Master Fu, another cool and weird one idk how to describe but is basically about Marinette in a hard position and having to create an awful web to protect her identity (?) And I got one very cool multichapter Marichat! But before these, I want to prioritize the others first. Still, if anyone is hungry for the Marichat one, I might be swayed to jump from my headcanon document to a full first chapter. As a very loose way to put that one, I think I’ll call it “Chains” And it will be about an Akuma called The Chainer actually “winning”. Paris is severely damaged and people try to live the aftermath of the Akuma permanent magic. One of the big consequences is that Adrien “disappeared” leaving only Chat Noir and he is forced to live a new life as Chat 24/7.

Honeybee AU

Okay, so, I know I probably still have some followers around from my Miraculous Ladybug days, especially from writing The One Where Chloé Knows. While I haven’ t really done much with that fic in years now, I have said that one day I will come back and work on it. I want to at least finish The Price We Choose before doing that, but who knows.

That said! TOWCK was written between Season 1 and 2. It also takes place right after Volpina. So it is Canon Divergent in both the adventures they go on, and the lore/worldbuilding that was revealed later.

I was debating about what to do with this. Whether I should try to stick to Canon, even retconning things, or go full AU and keep what I originally had and not waste the stories I had planned. It’s been... complicated. And I kept putting it off because of my MLP fics and more recently my FMA fics. But I’ve decided to make if a full AU, calling it the ‘Honeybee AU’, for reasons I hope are obvious.

So, I’m making a post to address some things in the story/lore/worldbuilding/etc. that either will or won’t change when I eventually get back to it! Feel free to ask questions if you want to know about more specific events, but this should cover a decent amount!

First off, names! Some character names are different in the fic, due to them not having Official Names when I wrote it. I decided to keep them the same instead of going back and editing in some cases due to how much I’d have to edit. Major examples include:

Alya’s Hero Name is ‘Vixen’ instead of ‘Rena Rouge’. This is difficult to edit, as there are a few jokes involving her choosing Vixen, so just using find and replace functions won’t work.

Nino’s Hero Name is ‘Jade Turtle’ instead of ‘Carapace’. While this could be fixed with find and replace, I chose the name to honor/reference TheLastPilot’s “The Weight of Jade”, which inspired me to make TOWCK in the first place.

the Bee Kwami is another one. We now know her name is ‘Pollen’, but I have the name ‘Lancee’ planned out and I’m keeping this for two reasons: 1. Pollen is the outlier among Kwami names, having a name directly relating to her ‘animal’, and 2. I named her ‘Lancee’ after Delancy Devin from Barbie: Princess Charm School, who was another inspiration to write this fic.

Mrs. Agreste. I used the name “Felicia” back then, as we didn’t know her name. While it’s been revealed to be ‘Emilie”, I like “Felicia” better. Petty, I know. But fuck it.

I might change Chloé’s Mom’s name. We learned more recently that it’s “Audrey”, but I have used “ Élise ” in the past. And considering a later bullet point, “ Élise ” might as well be a different character.

Actually, I’ll address this now. Some of the future plot does involve Chloé’s mom. I had this part planned since the fic was started. And “ Élise” is very different from “Audrey”. That entire plot point actually hinges on this. I’ll be keeping her version of the story instead of the version in the show.

Lila is another thing. In TOWCK, the whole class is already aware of Lila’s lies. No one trusts her. I will be absolutely bringing her back as a minor villain of sorts, but we’re completely skipping the show’s plot point of ‘the whole class loves her and thinks Marinette is just being a jealous bitch”

Episodes from Season 2 and 3 that involve Chloé being mean and causing Akumas either don’t happen, or would be changed completely.

I’d like to introduce Luka and Kagami and maybe some other later season characters into the plot. Although as we already had an Akuma named Silencer who was Akumatized because of music and had the ability to take people’s voices, we’ll have to think of something else for him :) (No. I’m not bitter. I know it’s a coincidence but damn it why am I good at predicting plot points what the fuck i didn’t even get all psychic like what happened August 1, 2009 this was just me making my own self-insert!)

Powers! Some things with the Miraculous and their powers are a bit different.

The Bee Miraculous is pretty different. Chloé will obviously still get it eventually, but her Hero Name will be “Honeybee” (Hence, Honeybee AU). Her weapon and powers are also different. I’ve talked about them before, but for now I’ll keep quiet.

The Turtle Miraculous has a different power, since a bigger shield doesn’t make much sense to me. Instead, Jade Turtle can slow down Time for a few moments.

People cannot be Akumatized again after Ladybug purifies the Butterfly from them. (tbh, that’s something I complain of directly in the series, but we’ll talk on that another day!!) Anyway, this might have some loopholes involving Lila, but for the most part they can’t.

The Peacock will also have different powers. I don’t know what they’ll be yet, but the Canon version is a little too similar to the Butterfly’s powers. (So far I’m thinking they get helpful visions of future or past. Well, helpful if they figure it out in time...)

Also, instead of the show’s thing of ‘when they need extra help, Ladybug hands out the Fox and Turtle Miraculous”, Nino and Alya keep their Miraculous from the moment they got them. They also got them the same way Marinette and Adrien did, with Master Fu subtly sneaking them into bags or their rooms or whatever. So Ladybug doesn’t know who they are.

I might end up involving the extra Miraculous like the Snake or Mouse or whatever, but idk. Although I do have ideas for the Snake and it is not Luka.

I can’t think of much more right now, but I’ll add to this if I think of anything else. And again, if you want to know more details on anything, just shoot me an ask. Seriously. Go for it. If you ask the right questions you could probably clip through the walls and get me to rant about the entire plot.
