Idk i think some people miss the point of someone who's around my age lamenting that they've never dated or done anything or been in love, but really want to be. I saw someone who was 24 ask whether there was still hope for them (which I know is kinda dramatic), and the person who responded was like "do you have friends and family who love you and whom you love? Have you ever read a good book or eaten fruit or sat in the sunlight. Love is everyhwere 🥺❤️🥺❤️" and like yeah yeah I get that little love and platonic love is just as important as romantic and sexual love but really none of that changes the fact that that person and many others like them are desiring a specific kind of love under very specific circumstances and conditions. Loving your parents isn't the same as loving a significant other lol. And idk it feels patronizing or infantilizing I think, to see someone who's never been in a relationship and would like to experience that kind of bond with someone only to tell them "no actually you should love your friends and family and eat some good food ❤️" idk idk I understand the intentions but. People desire to be desired in specific ways. People want to feel desired sexually and Romantically and to know that they're wanted in those capacities. Yes it's not the only metric by which to measure one's value, but we're not being unrealistic or naive by desiring this. Yes all the other stuff is important but you would not tell someone who doesn't have friends not to worry about platonic love bc maybe they have an SO already and also the sun is shining and their parents love them and people are being kind for no reason. it's starting to get annoying

Nico, who’s cannonically described by most characters as “scary and unnerving?” Nico, who, for a long time, is one of the angriest characters in the series? Who’s only sassy and sarcastic because it took him FOUR YEARS to mellow out? Who’s described as being one of the most powerful demigods, who a lot of people still consider the scariest? Who’s come into his own as a character from TTC to TSATS? That Nico?

Or Annabeth who’s, “cold and calculating. Doesn’t show emotion or express herself”

Annabeth, who’s the most expressive person in the series? Who cries in EVERY book in the OG series? Whether it be for Luke, or Thalia, or Percy, or Chiron, or a literal DOG? Who expresses passion like no other when it comes to architecture and her other interests? Who’s expressed compassion for people she didn’t know? People who at times posed a threat to her? Who isn’t afraid to be angry, or happy, or snide, or rude, or excited, or scared, or ecstatic? Who’s been unapologetically herself since the moment the series started? That’s who doesn’t show emotion? That’s Annabeth?

Satoru would probably be so in-love with you that he'd try every day to impress you. I feel like he'd be so focused on impressing you that even poor Shoko and Suguru would be tired of it but would help him nonetheless.

Satoru would take any chance to hang out with you. and I mean any. that one time Shoko asked you to come to the arcade with her and Suguru? Satoru begged her to let him go too.

Satoru just practically wants you to compliment him all the time. he's so happy when you actually compliment him. he'll cling to you and hug you and thank you over and over again.

When Satoru goes on a mission, he sets everyone else on 'do not disturb' but you. he's responded to you immediately on several occasions, all of which you had no idea he was on a mission. he got scolded for that by Yaga when he returned.

Satoru buys you everything. he doesn't care if you say he shouldn't be spending that much money- he'd gladly spend all of it on you. if you look at something longer than usual, he'd make a mental note to buy it later.

Satoru loves teasing you. sometimes he teases you in hopes of seeing your flustered face. even though he knows he'll have to take a whole damn minute to compose himself again. you drive him insane sometimes.

Satoru sometimes walks slowly, lagging behind the others purposely just so you can drag him back, holding his hand. and sometimes if he can muster up the courage, he'll refuse to let go when you let go, which results in the two of you holding hands the rest of the way.

Satoru texts you and asks to come over on rainy days sometimes, just because it means he'll be stuck with you. he just loves spending time with you in general.

Satoru gets jealous but would probably deny him ever getting jealous, even if he how he acts contradicts what he says. Suguru would give him this 'really?' look and Shoko would probably be done with the mutual pining that's been going on for several months.

was planning to write this last night but I got sidetracked so I ended up writing this today, just before going to a friend's birthday party.
