"Corinne Griffith pictured in a scene from the Alexander Korda film, Lilies of the Field. She plays a show-girl who takes part in a modernistic ballet mechanique and, dressed in silver tights, represented the figure of Speed on a radiator cap of a gigantic automobile. The men were dressed to represent robots."

Language of Flowers: Field Lily
In the language of flowers, each day has its own flower. For today, November 13, that flower is Field Lily, which signifies humility. Image above from Wikipedia. In his Sermon on the Mount, Jesus mentioned “lilies of the field.” Tulips, poppies, daisies, and other wildflowers have been suggested as candidates for “lilies of the field.” Did tall white lilies once grow in the fields and terraces…

Rewriting the myth of the Sisyphus
The atheistic existential philosopher Camus compared man’s life to the myth of the Sisyphus. Sisyphus was condemned by the Gods to roll a boulder uphill and only to his depressive anxiety that it rolls down and he is forced to repeat this meaningless chore again and again. And from this Camus brought out the idea that life is absurd, meaningless, chaotic, repetitive and monotonous. As a theist in Christ, I rework Camus metaphor of the Sisyphus into a Christian resurrection. Life of Sisyphus resurrected is a life of creativity, purpose, meaning, catharsis, and affirmation. Sisyphus resurrected is a man who no-longer is condemned but privileged to be free. Further the atheistic existential philosopher Sartre has said: man is condemned to be free. I rewrite Sartre’s condemnation to a theistic belief in Christ as man’s life is a privilege, favor, provision and bounty when he or she makes choices as followers in Christ.
Platonoclasm  Platonoclast
Platonoclasm  a neologism from Plato and Iconoclasm is unlike the existential philosophers Camus and Sartre view that life is meaningless, chaotic and absurd is a positive affirmation of celebrating life’s meaning. Platonoclasm is the celebration of life’s meaning and Platonoclast is a person who celebrates life’s meaning.
Aristotleraphy
Aristotleraphy a neologism from Aristotle and therapy stands for the philosophic idea that man is privileged to be free. This is unlike the atheistic existential philosophers Camus and Sartre views that man is condemned to be free because of the choices that he has to make. In Christ man is privileged to be free as his choices in Christ are many of blessings, prosperity, goodness, prudence and providence.
Building the temple in three days
Christ predicted to the people that that broken temple will be rebuilt in three days. Little did they know that it was Christ’s body that will be crucified and resurrected.
Rebuilding the temple in three days as an idiom stands for miracles of God.
I affirm with my soul that a temple will be rebuilt in three days.
Centurion
The centurion asked Jesus that his servant was sick and needs to be healed. When Christ said that he will go to the centurion’s house: he replied that I am not worthy enough for that. Christ was touched by his faith and he said to him let be healed.
Centurion is an idiom standing for faith.
I am a centurion to believe that Christ will do wonders for me.
Salt of the Earth
Christ said to the people that: you are the salt of the earth: and if the salt loses its saltiness it is no longer useful.
Salt of the earth stands for being productive and useful.
When it comes to work, I am the salt of the earth.
Lilies of the field
Christ said: look at the lilies of the field: they neither sow nor reap and yet your heavenly father takes care of them and how much more will your heavenly father care for you.
Lilies of the field stand for God’s provision, care, favor and providence.
I am allowing God illuminate me with the experiences of the Lilies of the field.

God's provision in the pursuit of righteousness
God’s provision in the pursuit of righteousness
Are we seeking God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, or just his Kingdom? In the sixth chapter of Matthew, Yeshua gives one of the most comprehensive descriptions of the life of faith. In it, he describes how our constant striving for material things can set us at odds with God’s purpose for us in his Kingdom. He describes how we cannot equally serve God and money, and then he goes on to explain…

Lilies of the Field
Lilies of the Field
I thought I was being clever when I named this post since I am attaching photos of my lilies. I also thought I was being clever when I Googled “lilies of the field flower” to see what exactly those flowers were so I could astound you with my knowledge. And that’s where the cleverness ended, mine and everyone else’s. Like with so much else I look up for this blog, there is no definitive…

I can't help but feel bad for Lily. Like this poor girl was probably really excited to celebrate her birthday with her brother and cousin, who she probably doesn't see alot. And then all of a sudden her brother's friend needs to be taken to the hospital and because she's so young she most likely doesn't understand what's actually happening.
And then all of a sudden the lights start to flicker and they all see the phantoms. LIKE THIS GIRL IS 8. Poor lily is going to have nightmares for the rest of her life.
On the car ride back from the hospital she probably fell back asleep because, like I keep on saying, she's only 8. And then after 12 she gets woken up by Ben's friends screaming Aiden's name.
She comes into the room to see her cousin laying on the floor his body shaking and reacting to pain, everyone starts mentioning taking him to the hospital and Lily would just be standing off to the side scared, confused and shaking. And when Aiden finally manages to speak and beg to not go to the hospital, she runs up and hugs him. She's trying to comfort Aiden and herself as she would be crying in this moment because of the fear she felt.
Then in the morning, after the others left to go to the school either one of two things would happen:
She would be kidnapped along with everyone else. Since, they also took the parents it would make sense that they would take Lily as well
OR they would leave her behind. Because who's going to believe an 8 year old child when they say that their family got kidnapped while they were asleep and all about the phantoms and such.
But either way she would be alone and scared, unsure of what to do and without any parental guidance.
(Rant over I just felt bad for Lily)

@wolfstarmicrofic March 15 – prompt 16: Felix Felicis – word count 381
Felix Felicis - Temporarily makes the drinker lucky, allowing them to succeed in all their endeavours
Sirius had always felt he needed luck. A whole barrel of Felix Felicis, more likely. Despite being born in one of the oldest and richest families of the Wizarding World, he had always felt he needed all the luck he could get.
He had needed it growing up without as much as a hug form his parents. He had needed it not to be crushed under the weight of the expectations the Black heir had to carry. He had needed it to face the backlash after the news of him failing to be put in Slytherin got back to his family. He had needed it to survive the mounting abuse every time he had been back in that house. He had needed it to walk out of it alive, the night he had run away.
But Sirius had to admit he also had had luck. He had had it that remote first of September, when he had seen for the first time that Potter smile on the face of a boy, now the man standing behind him. He had had it in all the love Monty and Effie, now sobbing in the front row, had unconditionally given him when they had taken him in their home. He had had it in all the support from Lily, who was now beaming as the wind ruffled her green dress, in all those years he had been estranged from his brother. He had had it in reconnecting with Regulus, who was now in the front row too, right between James’s parents and Peter, Marlene and Dorcas. He had had it in Mary, who was looking at him from under her flower crown and had been the first one to roll her eyes and tell him that he was disgustingly in love and no, it definitely wasn’t with her.
And most of all, he had had luck in Remus.
Remus, who was now holding his hands and smiling at him. Remus, who was his anchor, his horizon, his own moon in the darkest of nights.
“This is my favourite part,” Mary smiled. “Do you, Sirius Orion Black-Potter, take Remus John Lupin as your husband?”
Sirius smiled. Who even needed Felix Felicis. He had all the luck of the world in front of him.
“I do.”
