headcanons of my ocs that are canon because i made them and i said so:

will’s love language is touch, so is bonnie’s, that’s why they’re so sickeningly close all the time and neither of them minds in the slightest

cairo likes to pick at or fidget with his skin, which bothers bonnie to no end

bonnie is hemophobic (blood phobia), which is ironic considering she literally survives off of drinking blood

will cannot remember his last name or birthdate, but can see his mother and little sister vividly in his mind, like they were really there

cairo distantly knows will, but can’t remember where from

bonnie cries when she gets mad

cairo thinks of lynne whenever will says or does something nice (100% of the time, will’s a sweetheart)

i originally wrote bonnie’s backstory to be similar to rosalie’s from twilight, but that felt too much like copying so now she has a much happier one

bonnie idolized university for the entirety of her teenage years, but never got to go

bonnie forced will to watch every classic disney movie, and his fav was lilo and stitch

he thinks of bonnie like lilo does stitch

bonnie thinks of will like lilo does nani

cairo thinks of them both like the grand councilwoman does pleakley and jumba (but with slightly more affection, despite the fact he would never admit that)

cairo thinks that, if lynne were alive to see it, her fav would be big hero six

he imagines her echoey laugh when baymax was losing his air and acting high

he imagines her splotchy, tear streaked face both when tadashi and baymax sacrifice themselves, how tightly she’d bundle up under his arm

he’d try to imagine what her quirky little superpower would be if she were part of the gang, but was never able to come up with a concrete decision because she always was so indecisive; never able to pick and choose any one thing

lynne always loved the colour red, it made her think of cairo, and despite popular belief, green was her least fav colour

she was sick of seeing it everyday, everywhere she turned

bonnie’s colour, obviously, was pink, but her fav colour was white or a very specific brown; almost rosy and vv light

will’s fav colours were orange (ew) and green

cairo’s, you guessed it, was red

I'm going in order of the games, but I actually played Explorers before Rescue Team! Gotta say, I absolutely loved the Friend Areas; they definitely made the world more engaging and expansive!

As for my team though, Arcas was actually an adaptation from a D&D character I made; a Dragonborn monk iirc. I don't quite remember where I got the name Lilo for a Cyndaquil from, though I recently retconned it to be a nickname of sorts. Names are fun!

In terms of playtime, Rescue Team is definitely the lowest for me. That being said, I've gotten more attached to these two little shits over the course of my doodles and shitposts than I ever thought I would.

Explorers

Explorers was my first ever Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game, though not my first exposure to the series. Specifically, I managed to pick up Explorers of Sky some years back, and that copy holds as my oldest PMD game.

And the fact that it's "old" helps explain my team's names; unlike my other teams where my initial goal was turning them into characters, my Explorers roster was just named after me and my old best friend. I just put our old usernames, but I still find it ironic that my old name is still appropriate given the "silent protagonist" trope PMD games usually run. Due to personal reasons though, both are now characters!

Explorers holds the title for the time I've sunk into PMD games, and it isn't even close. Incredible story, postgame, music, characters, and more; there's a reason why Explorers is considered the best entry in the series. Over 70 hours I've put into the game, and I don't intend to stop anytime soon!

Gates to Infinity

Gates to Infinity was my first exposure to PMD? Is this a shocker? I'm not actually sure, but yep, the first time I had set my eyes upon this series was Marriland's playthough of GTI. I loved his voices as a kid, and I'm very happy to have finally gotten to play the game I idolized as a kid.

I had originally planned for Brooke to be another "quiet type" protagonist, but I noticed that the hero in GTI talks a lot more than in previous installments, and is also a bit sassier? Really glad I got the opportunity to give someone a more lively, snarkier personality that I don't often give my characters. Axdrew was a name given by a friend, and I've recently considered "Drew" as a hypocorism, but I'm still debating on that one.

Gates to Infinity gets so much flak, and maybe I'm just biased due to my history with the game, but it does NOT deserve the amount of hate it does. (There seems to be a theme with Gen 5 getting bashed before getting beloved tho...) I've sung the praises for GTI in old posts, so I won't be going on another rant (this is already the longest section here), but even if everyone pulls up with pitchforks and torches, I'll still hold this game close to my heart.

Super Mystery Dungeon

So, uh, this is awkward? I haven't actually played through PSMD yet. ^^; Between school, life, art, and other stuff going apeshit recently, I haven't had the time to start a new game. I'm excited for when I do though, since it apparently links all of the previous installments together. (Although I am still particularly upset that nicknames for recruits aren't a thing anymore ;-;)

Original OCs anyone? Yeah, I'm not too sure anyone's that interested in a random Absol or the 3817th Umbreon OC, but I've had these two for the longest time, even before I started playing Explorers! I guess it doesn't count to include them in this list, since they're not explicitly PMD-related, but I've been trying to write a story of sorts with 'em for a while now (though I've not got a clue if it's any good lol). Both of them have gone through a lot of changes and tweaks over the years, but they're definitely here to stay. :)

If you've made it to the end, thank you for reading! I've been meaning to introduce these fellas for a while now; my original plan was to showcase each of them individually through reference sheets, but that stuff takes way longer than I anticipated. ^^; I've always been nervous when it comes to really explaining the who for my OCs, but I'm really glad this ask came through to push me to make this. Thank you! If anyone's interested, y'all can ask my OCs things! I've seen a bunch of different PMD ask blogs and they're really cool- I'm completely new to this kind of stuff, but I'm willing to experiment! :D

Dimei Gang Headcanons (TA4 Headcanons)

This shows Headcanons on my Yokai ocs from TA4. They be in TA4 Aftermath fic and bit in TA5 so spoilers! Ok let’s get started!

- Even though Wolfynyan and Lonernyan are the same age as Galaxynyan, they are couple months younger than him.

-Iisinyan’s favorite food is soup which is a bizarre dish even as an ice Yokai.

-Syilvnyan may do magic and creepy things but she enjoys dancing such as ballet.

-Smashinyan went to country clubs when he knows how to play tennis and had plenty of time of swimming.

-Galaxynyan is passed down few things from Twinklnyan, Tomnyan and Jerry such as playing guitar, drawing well and enjoying pancakes.

-Wolfynyan favorite hobby is collecting Disney Princesses dolls while Lonernyan’s favorite hobby is collecting monster toys.

-Flarernyan is into girls older than him and flirts with them.

-Above the headcanon, Flarernyan often read women magazine and not interested in girls his age.

-Gloien loves to listen to slime videos which relaxes him and plays with slime when he’s alone.

-Galaxynyan and Flarernyan relationship is bit of friendship and rivalry between each other.

-above the headcanon, They may be opposite like Deku and Bakugo but they both love superheroes and they idolize Todoroki.

-Characters by birthday. Galaxynyan (January 26), Lonernyan and Wolfynyan (March 19), Gloien birth is unknown so his adoption day is on (June 14), Flarernyan (August 2), Smashinyan (September 5), Syilvnyan (October 13), Iisinyan (December 10).

-Iisinyan looked up to Galaxynyan as he’s a role model of handling dangerous things. Shows she and Galaxynyan are close friends with some believe they’re a couple.

-Galaxynyan got annoyed with Iisinyan being better than him and saying he got beating by a girl. Iisinyan on the other hand loves to tease Galaxynyan thinking he treating her like a princess.

-Smashinyan is into Wolfynyan so he secretly flirts with her by asking for her help but Wolfynyan is too smart to fall for his moves.

-Gloien called Lilo and Nani “sis nui”. (Means Big sis in Hawaiian) or “Oni-san” (mean Older sister in Japanese).

-Syilvnyan is very protective of her twin brothers and she acts like a mom.

-Smashinyan and his little sister Yuganyan had a close relationship despite of their parents making them like them but they stick together.

-Gloien is in Lilo’s hula school and when it comes to deal with Mertle and the girls, he had to defend Lilo and when it failed he will snitch.

-When it comes for Gloien who need to be his eyes when he’s alone, Stitch is with him as a guide dog/alien but when he’s not Stitch or Lilo when he with his friends, they be there for him.

-When Galaxynyan met Tanknyan for the first time. He fear that he be a mean stepdad and did his best to get rid of him.

-above the headcanon, Galaxynyan and Tanknyan got to know him and call him “Tank” when he get angry.

-Here’s how the the kids voice is like: Galaxynyan (Voice sound like Twinklnyan and Tomnyan but little deep tone like Jerry), Lonernyan (Voice sounds little higher than Galaxynyan), Wolfynyan (Voice little deep and serious different than Lonernyan), Smashinyan (High but raspy), Syilvnyan (quiet and high), Flarernyan (High and normal and bit raspy), Iisinyan (Sweet and bit quiet), Gloien (bit high and mixed like Froppy from MHA and Morgana from P5)

-the Kids often went to a treehouse at Galaxynyan’s house but when they visit their owners, they used the dimension elevators and yes Olivenyan fixed it.

-When Gloien interact with Flarernyan, he shows that he’s not that mean but needs a friend.

-When it comes to Flarernyan being a reform ex-bully the only friend he can interact better is Gloien. Even he interact with Galaxynyan but Smashinyan is a third friend he made.

-When Galaxynyan and Flarernyan met Class 1-B, they enjoy the classmates but don’t like Neito Monoma and when he gets crazy at them, they work together to slap some sense with that guy.

-Gloien enjoy playing the ukulele and got good at it. He often use it when he hang out with his friends or perform with Lilo and Stitch.

-Syilvnyan, Iisinyan and Wolfynyan’s relationships shows girl power and they sometimes don’t let guys telling them not to do and do payback if someone mess with them.

-The kids act like adults sometimes when it comes to defending and acting like lawyers and being the judge of this conflict.

That’s all of the headcanon for TA4 but TA5 headcanon are better than this. It will come after I reveal the characters for TA5. Anyway I hope you enjoy these headcanon and you can use them anytime! TA4 Aftermath is coming on June 5 so be prepared for it!

So...I heard @raven-at-the-writing-desk is making a Twisted Stitch OC (or if Stitch was born as a human and was an anime bishie). My brain popped this idea out this morning as I was waking up. I want type it out now that I have time, because, hey, if I had this cursed idea, you guys will hear it too. (Also, fun fact about me: Lilo and Stitch is my favourite Disney movie, even to the point where I have a canvas print of Stitch hang on my bedroom wall, so this idea is extra cursed for me.)

Not sure what @raven-at-the-writing-desk is planning for her own version of the character, but this is just mine. (I mainly took ideas from the movie and that scrapped idea where he was a gangster.) I mentioned her OC here too, so credit for Elias goes to her.

Nohea (Twisted Stitch) is an orphan, who’s parents died when he was a baby. The people at the orphanage had no idea what to do with him, since he always caused trouble. Wanting to be free and due his mistreatment at the hands of the staff, he ran away when he was in his early teens.

Like Deuce in the game, while he was in secondary school, he was involved with some pretty shady folks. He constantly got into fights, robbed stores (but for what he needed to survive like food and water, since he lived on the streets), skipped classes, used his magic to lord over those who didn’t, wrecked property. The works. For the first time in his life, he was having a blast, especially when he was causing mayhem, even if it was a false sort of happiness. Long as no one was hurt, or worse, killed, it was all good in his eyes. Doing this was the only way he felt sort of alive. Not like anyone cared if he was alive or dead, anyways, so might as well have a bit of fun while he’s still kicking.

One day, he and one of his current gangs decided it would be a fun idea to go to Turo, a town in that universe, to cause a little chaos. When he walked into an alleyway, he saw a man attack a woman, threatening to do even worse to her. He tried to use his powers as a distraction to make the bastard scram, but due to his anger, he instead destroyed a wall and nearly had the building cave in the process. (Even though he doesn’t like thinking about it, he’s thankful that no one got hurt or died when that happened.) He was promptly apprehended. Luckily for him, Nohea was just put on probation due him being under age, no one being hurt in the process and the lady recognizing that he was trying to save someone, even if it was in a stupid way. The only place that would take him in for that time? RSA, of course. Trevor (Twisted Jumba) became the person who’s supposed to look after him along with is romantic partner Peyton (Twisted Pleakley).

At first, Nohea hated it. He wanted to learn how to become a badass magician at NRC if he had to go to a college, not here! All of the guys at that school were stuffy, goody two-shoes. Teachers didn’t know what to do with him. Gossip going around the school saying that he’s delinquent, a self-destructive asshole or even outright evil doesn’t help matters either. Most of the students didn’t like him and stayed away. Even that Elias guy was wary of being around him after he destroyed a cookie made by him (even if it was an accident)! It got to be so bad that he almost overblotted due to him using a lot of magic and his heightened, negative emotions.

One day while he was at school, he was caught carving in doodles in his desk, and was put in detention. While there, another boy, Liko, was inside, who was in for fighting after people mocked him. The two talked, figuring out that they had a fair bit in common. Their families both hail from the same island. (Though Nohea’s parents moved to Rose Kingdom sometime before he was born while Liko still lives on that island.) Liko’s an orphan too, due his parents, unfortunately, dying in a magic car accident when he was a toddler. His older brother is his legal guardian.

Nohea began sitting with Liko at lunch. Before he knew it, he started hanging out with him in his spare time. Liko convinced him to join the art club along with him as an outlet for this emotions. Next thing Nohea knew, he was very close with Liko and the rest of his family. In some sense, Liko acts like a Jiminy Cricket to him. Liko is quite patient and understanding with him, and is able to talk sense into him. Nohea does the same with him. But sometimes, they still get up to minor mischief together.

After his first year of attending the academy, Nohea wasn’t on probation anymore. But since Trevor and Peyton began to have a soft spot for the guy, he took him in and treated him as if he was his own son.

Currently, while Nohea can be mischievous, impulsive, crass and a bit of a trouble maker, he’s not as bad as before. He tries his best to stay out of illegeal activity for his loved ones’ sake. Last thing he wants is for Liko or his other friends to get into trouble for his actions. But if anyone he cares about is in deep trouble or is hurt, that can sometimes fly out the window and he can go to questionable means to meet his ends. Most of the time, Liko is able to calm him down before it reaches that point. He doesn’t like talking or thinking about his past. Sometimes it does come back to haunt him to his dismay, especially his ex girlfriend Angelica. He’s quite inquisitive, enjoying to learn about new things. He’s quite smart when he puts in the effort. Despite this, he struggles in school since, he gets bored of things quite easily, and has a hard time concentrating. Over all, he’s also a pretty fun-loving, loyal and caring guy once people get to know him better.

Nohea likes drawing, dancing and playing the guitar, using those as an outlet for his emotions instead of Unique Magic. He’s a bit of a jock, enjoying running and Magishift especially, but he doesn’t like water sports like swimming. His favourite food is coconut cake. He’s also a caffeine addict, and drinks a lot of coffee, especially during finals season.

Unlike some of the other students at RCA like Elias, the NRC students would get along with him pretty well. Despite being reformed, he’s quite impish and can still raise some hell when he wants if it’s not illegal or would seriously harm anyone. Though, Liko would pull him back from doing anything too stupid if he’s there. Some even wonder why he never attended NRC instead of that stuffy school, but he would just brush it off and not get into it. Him and the One Brain Cell Squad would get along pretty well due to their either similar personalities (Ace/Grim) or backgrounds (Deuce).

His Unique Magic is I Want to Destroy. With a snap of his fingers, he’s able to create powerful blasts in the direction he points in. Down side is that his powers don’t work around any water, including rain and drizzle. He needs to be in a calm, clear state of mind, otherwise he can overuse his powers and cause more destruction than intended. He can also risk blowing his arm off if he’s not careful. (He also gained his Unique Magic a lot earlier than most due to his stressful background and living on the streets.)

While these powers could give him a future in mining, that’s not his style. He’s more of an artistic soul. He might use his powers to create art, or even as a search and rescue person to help others. Hell, he might be a guidance counselor without his magic. But he’s still in school, so he has a lot of time to decide his career path.

This is it, the grand finale to this "transtastic" week! This drawing here took me all afternoon, thanks to Maui, that I may not even have enough time to finish my genderqueer OCs tonight; as of such, they'll most likely be posted later in the week. However, I do also want to point out that today is Transgender Day of Rememberance, a day dedicated to people in the transgender community who lost their lives from transphobic people.

To anyone who is seeing this, transgender, cisgender, genderqueer, nonbinary, etc., do not harm anyone based solely on their gender or sex. My cis people, treat the non-cis people with respect and be there to help each other out. My non-cis people, stay safe and know that regardless of what people say to try to demean you, you are your own person, nobody can judge you but yourself, and you are amazing the way you are.

Anyways, with that said, time to finish this week off.

No genderqueer character list is not complete without the infamous Chinese warrior herself, Mulan. While it is canon that she is genderqueer, I was wondering whether to headcanon her as genderfluid or bigender; in the end, I chose bigender, and here's a little story I made to explain why. After the war with the Huns, Mulan felt more in touch with her feminine side, but also liked being a man, so from time to time, she changes from Mulan to Ping; having saved China, and being the first woman ever in the Chinese army, all of her family and friends support her. Next is Maui, who took up so much time to draw due to the amount of detail he had. This one is kind of a headcanon, and I'm going a bit off the "You're Welcome" song, but I believe that he is "just an ordinary demiguy". Why? Well, Maui did mention the fact that he's a hero to all, not just men and women; this would make sense that he would be out for genderqueer people as well, considering that he wasn't afraid of stating that he, himself, isn't exactly cisgender (plus, nonbinaries deserve more love). This could also be part of the reason why his parents dumped him into the sea, as it's not fully explained what specific features seemed "ugly" to them. If Mulan was secretly queer, then Pleakley had no shame in letting out his queerness once he came to Earth. Everyone knows this lovable one-eyed alien for crossdressing, pretending to be one with the humans. A possible reason why is that when Pleakley was on his home planet, his duties kept him from being who he wanted to be, and once he was with Jumba on Earth to look for Stitch, he slowly, but surely, let go of his masculinity and became more feminine. Lilo and the gang were weirded out at first, but once everyone got together to save Lilo, they all accepted him and Pleakley continued dressing like a lady, and he couldn't be prouder. Last, and certainly not least, is Riley. Her story is like a first step to a journey of self-discovery, having to leave her old life behind, questioning herself, and if she would ever feel happiness again afterwards. I found this headcanon on Tumblr which stated that she was genderfluid, and the most obvious proof is the emotions in her mind; now, time for my own little "sequel": in the movie, almost all of the other characters' emotions are dressed and voiced as their person's presumed gender, except for Riley, the protagonist. This may be because when she was more happy-go-lucky, gender norms wasn't a thing to her, as she loved doing both guy and girl things; after the ending of the movie, Riley, along with her emotions, questioned herself, wondering who she really wanted to be, so she experimented with changing gender identity, and it eventually became a normal habit. Hearing tons of positive LGBT stories taking place in San Francisco also made Riley feel more proud of making this move, and her parents (and possible boyfriend) were very proud and supported her.
