Putting together all the Psychonauts art I've done for Inktober over the years... my second favorite video-game.
Fun fact about the Loboto drawing, it was originally sketched years ago for an unfinished monthly challenge (along with Doviculus here) and I only found it now, never posted it though. Since I've been messing around with using brush and ink, I decided to add some greytones to it, along with touching up the lines with a small brush pen and white gel pen. The paper was NOT made for that lol, but it still worked and I love how it turned out.
the psychic animals from psychonauts could kill macbeth! especially linda the lungfish.
Yes, The Hideous Hulking Lungfish of Lake Oblongata AKA Linda from Psychonauts could kill Macbeth!
She applies for the Gender Clause on account of being a woman, as well as the Unconventional Birth Clause due to the fact that in real life, Lungfish lay and hatch from eggs.
She does not apply for the Birth Parent Clause, however, since even though she was mutated and psychically altered by male Dr. Caligosto Loboto, there is evidence in-game that she was sentient beforehand, back when she was a regular Lungfish. This is seen in her memories as her watching a television pre-capture and in the secret PSI Cadet Rank 100 cutscene where she clearly remembers having a history with Mr. Pokeylope pre-capture.
and here is another psychonauts mtv2 promo with linda in it (a lot of the mtv2 promos featured linda prominently for some reason? actually all of them have her in them im pretty sure, while the g4 ones feature raz) im probably gonna post all of these eventually just bc i want to
i feel like the other campers are used to weird shit like this happening at camp so they dont even notice linda (other than mikhail i guess) while raz is an 'outsider' so him seeing a giant fish mutant thing really surprises him. either that or its post pn and he has basically just walked in on linda taking a shit
Would Raz still have the hand of galochio? How would it behave considering that Raz never really learned about the curse? Did he ever learn to swim?
On another note, does Raz know Linda before going to camp?
The handful galochio is still a minor issue, as even though he doesn't know exactly what the curse is, the whole situation where his whole biological family drowned caused caused a very unrecognizable yet familiar fear his mind. He also had a blanket that washed uo by the river with him that told the story if the curse, but he doesn't understand that's what it is.
And yes! He does know Linda. She's the one who returns kids back to camp when they try to sneak into the asylum. She's very protective of Raz and she knows he's afraid of the water so she let's him ride on her back all the time.
So that's where all my recent doodles ended up... Ahem, I saw this template a while back and finally got around to filling out one of my own. If you want to fill in your own favorites, the blank template can be found at the link below:
Camper - Lili Zanotto: Actually, my favorite camper would probably be Mikhail because I find his odd obsession with wrestling bears to be rather amusing. But he didn’t look all that great when I drew him, so I just went with Lili instead.
Agent - Milla Vodello: Easily my favorite agent, none can surpass Milla’s beauty and kindness. We could all benefit from having someone like her in our lives.
Intern - Razputin Aquato: I wasn’t a fan of any of the interns introduced in the second game, so I had to go with our brave hero Raz doing his classic pose.
Founder - Compton Boole: I identify with people who suffer from crippling social anxiety…
Aquato - Augustus Aquato: Augustus seems like a real cool guy, so I’m kind of confused where Raz got the idea that his dad hated him, and psychics, so much. Oh, and I was NOT going to include the rather awkwardly placed patch on his…pants…
Inmate - Crispin Whytehead: Anyone who’s been following me anywhere on the internet lately knows this honor goes to none other than my ugly boy, Crispin. He might be a huge jerk, but I couldn’t help but fall in love with his snarky attitude, his strangely pleasant voice, and his odd penchant for being rude and polite at the same time. Crispin, you had me at, “kindly back away from my elevator and die”!
Animal - Linda the Lungfish: She’s a magical lady, after all…
Mental NPC - G-Men: I forgot to scan in my lineart for this guy, but at least we have the finished version of one of the G-Men from the Milkman Conspiracy. Their “feces” line has become a recurring joke in my Youtube videos. Because I’m a super immature person.
Mental Enemy - Censor: I love these little guys. Oh, and seeing as this angry little Censor was the first character I colored, that would explain why his shading differs from that of everyone else. I was still getting used to coloring with these new markers….
Other - Dr. Loboto: My second favorite character in the series is our dear deranged dentist and brain surgeon, Dr. Loboto, who we can only hope is truly reformed after the events of Psychonauts 2. I'd like to think that he and Crispin went on to cause plenty of harmless mischief and no more brains are being stolen or teeth pulled.
