#ft my poorly drawn monstera leaves for vibe #I was thinking abt shinx and luxray like. #kingdom hearts #kh #ahh this one was so hard to draw; i never know how to combine a bunch of scenes in one picture without it looking cheesy #just threw a bunch of waves and leaves and birds on top and called it a day haha. it might be a bit too busy though #the white line going up the center is supposed to be a trail left behind by the gummi ship! it connects to the ship in the bg at the top #it's kinda meant to evoke little kids dreaming of other places-> getting older and earnestly making the raft to try to reach the dream #->the gummi ship as a premonition of how they'd actually reach the dream in the future. i guess? idk how to explain #and i really wanted to have kairi's expressions be really similar but changing subtly from wonder to worry when she's older #the boys are just max enthusiasm the whole time #but yeah. something something Symbolism and hopefully it's at least kinda pretty if it doesn't make sense #i'm just super proud to have been part of this project! everyone's work is just amazing #the destiny kids give me this soft feeling of kinda lonely nostalgia. it's nice to have a book full of that #very wistful looking through it #fan art #my art #project stuff

okie i made an art but there is some context to it

so my sister was studying in the haunted theology building on her college campus because it was open and it had rooms to study in . and since it is a theology building lots of people who like catholicism go in there. so my sister finishes working on her paper or whatever and it's like 2 am and she sees a piece of paper in the hallway that says "what is your favorite saint?" with a bunch of names of catholic saints that people like that they put on there. so my sister (an atheist) makes up a fake saint name (st. chadwick the bold) and writes it on the paper.

however, since it was darkish and lateish she accidentally wrote "bold" in a way that it could be misinterpreted as "bald"

now the next day she's having a movie night with friends and tells them about it and one of them draws a very reverent, very bald monk-saint on a whiteboard . and then they make a prayer to st. chadwick the b[o/a]ld

and then when she told me about it this weekend i thought i could use it as a chance for calligraphy / gothic graphic design practice so i made this

#ok some notes abt its imperfections: #yeag i made the capital s in Saint too weird (i didn't like it at first then tried to fix it then failed) #and it's kinda blank (i wasn't sure what else to put) #and it's kinda smudged #and i didn't erase the drafting lines because i thought it would further smudge the ink because i didn't want to wait for it to dry #because my sister had to leave soon and get back to campus #and also the B at the beginning of the “prayer” is very weirdly colored and designed i should have chosen a better color and design #calligraphy #art #saints #oh also #i was writing the dies irae with my calligraphy pen and i accidentally imprinted some letters into my finger with ink #so if you see some really light smudged letters in between the lines that is because i put my finger there and accidntally stamped those #letters into the paper #but yea it's really bad i just wanted to share it with somebody

Mom,

I know a letter wouldn’t reach you if I wrote one, but if it could, there’s so much I’d want to tell you.

I’d write about everything that’s happened in the time I’ve been gone, and how overwhelmed I’d felt at first. I’d apologize for disappearing without an explanation, but let you know that I’d be okay, because I’d found friends that stayed by my side through all of it...friends I’d cross the universe for. I’d tell you how I’d like you to meet them, but to please bear with them because they can be a bit of a handful, though their hearts are in the right place.

I’d ask if you remember how you always wished that you’d given me siblings, then assure you that you didn’t have to worry about that anymore, because there are people that look out for me now and guide me when I’m lost. I’d admit that I admire them, then think that must be what it feels like to have older siblings.

I’m sure you’d also love to hear about a boy I met, embarrassing as that would be. I’d tell you not to get any ideas, though. It’s not a romantic story, but maybe he and I got off on the wrong foot, and maybe he’s not so bad after all.

I’d wrap the letter up hoping that the house isn’t too big without me and that the fire would keep it warm enough for you this winter, because it’d be a shame if your fingers were too cold to play the piano. I’d tell you I miss you and that I’m trying to find a way home, that I can’t wait to hear your music again. I’d promise to write again soon, then sign it,

I painted this a long while ago when the party first split cause I knew I wouldn’t have to time paint anything when the Hells finally reunited cause of my current job. I obviously thought it’d probably be Imogen in a really dark place and Laudna being full of joy etc, when they reunited, but based on last week's episode, it’s definitely going to be the opposite. Makes me want to redo this now and switch them around. Someday when I have time, maybe.
