Hey guys little psa for the Linked Universe Fandom. So listen if you want if not, I mean I can’t stop you. 

However with tears of the kingdom coming out right around the corner. Can we please start using a new tag of Lu totk or Linkeduniverse tears of the kingdom? 

Only reason I ask is because I bet a lot of people are going to want to make art and writings of the Wild in his new form with the chain. Which is great, however I along with several other people have tried are hardest to avoid spoilers. So lets try and remember not everyone will be able to get the game right away, and just be respectful for to one another.

Ok hear me out

I love the headcanon that Time is Twilight’s father and he died when Malon was pregnant and passed him down his triforce. A similar fate happened to Lullaby, she died of childbirth and Dusk got her triforce.

In LU, Twilight knows the full story but since he knows 2 people can't have the same piece of the triforce at the same time, and the piece isn't just taken from one's body and gifted to another person (if not by magic means, but who does this must have another piece of the triforce, as if I don't remember wrong we never see someone without a piece of the triforce stealing a piece from Link’s or Zelda's hands), but the piece is "naturally" passed down when the previous chosen bearer dies, Twilight knows telling Time his full story would hurt him and Malon, his mother, too much, because they'd quickly realize their future isn't bright, all their plans, all their dreams... they'd realize he'll die soon.

And so he tries hard to pretend he's many generations apart, that the family tree is huge. And he uses the word Ancestor, that could mean both father or a really distant relative, he isn't lying, but he isn't going into detail either. And he's convinced he mustn't tell him the full story, he mustn't hurt him with his existence, he got to see his father alive and well, and he wants to see him happy, because he knows he doesn't have much time left.

And for Twilight that's unfair because Time is healthy, still relatively young, he doesn't look like someone who's going to die soon. And yet he is. And Twilight feels so happy he can see Time alive, but it hurts too. Sometimes he wants to tell Time everything, maybe a bit selfishly, he wants Time to recognize him as his son, he wants to stop hiding the truth, and mostly he sees him of course living like nothing is going to happen, he doesn't know what's going on, and he has the right to know instead so he can live his last... months? Years? As best as he can. At the same time he doesn't want to, Time wouldn't leave the group for this, it would only make him terribly devastated, knowing he will leave his family. It's so damn confusing.

A TEAM IS OFFICIALLY DONE AND DESIGNED FOR THE MOST PART SO HAVE SOME LORE AND TWILIGHT AND WILD'S SINGLE SOLO PEICES.

Like most magical girl series this takes place in the relatively modern day, I'm currently thinking around late 90s early 2000s?? flip phones exist basically, but I'll allow some more advanced magic tech for simulations and stuff.

The chain live in "New Hyrule" as a country but I haven't landed on a city name for it yet.

very mild magical abilities are common but Combat Transformation Magic is not so every time someone is found to have those abilities they are quickly snapped up by recruitment schools.

Recruitment schools take "students" ages 16-24, so it's a weird mix of high school and college.

Technically they are called "Triforce Guardians." but if I use the word "Magical Girl." it's because it's what the genre is called and it's force of habit just know they interchangeable when I talk about them but the in-universe name is "Triforce Guardian."

Here we have "A team" or as I like to call them "promotional squad" as in addition to being some of the most powerful they are also from very famous families and often used is marketing/propaganda

I'll pick their "real" names later but their LU names are their code/battle names

WARRIORS

"Warriors" is about 19-ish and is used to being in the public eye as his younger sister Linkle( I'm calling her Linelle) was one of the few people to develop magical girl powers before the age of 14, she was 8 at the time, as a result had his family was elevated. Warriors was a teen model until an incident involving dark forces interrupted a photo shoot caused him to unlock his powers, Which I'm making Speed and Flame. He debuted with his sister as a team for about a year until and accident put her out of commission and Warriors had to join Twilight's team. He's not happy about this but it's mostly out of concern that he failed his last teammate and not dislike towards Twilight and Wild.

WILD

Wild just turned 17 and is actually Twilight's younger cousin. He's had his powers since he's been about 13 but because both of his parent were highly involved in government they've been training him since he was about 7 (yes they are terrible how did you know) and as a result he has his scars from missions over the years before he got his powers. He's got very few friends besides a few visiting dignitaries' children (AKA Mipha). When he finally got his powers he was relieved that besides temporary fusing and lifting objects he didn't have very traditional and harmful powers...That is until his parents decided to experiment. He also has a younger sister, Lily, although she's only about 6 and deaf, and while she does have cochlear implants she and Wild prefer to sign to communicate.

TWILIGHT.

Oh boy Twilight where to begin. For starters he's the son of one of the most famous Triforce Guardian ever, the Hero of Time! who broke time itself and has been missing since Twilight was 4. He was raised in the countryside with his mom (Malon) and her side of the family (Ordon homies) but in a terrible twist of fate he inherited magical girl powers, worst of all was his father's shape shifting although from what it looks like he can only turn into a wolf at the moment but it's suspected that he may have a total copy of his father's powers and was brutally uprooted from his home to live in the city to train for the looming threat that's coming for revenge. He's exactly 18 on the dot when he's finally enrolled at Hylia's Academy and Warriors and Wild were assigned to be his teammates to keep him alive until he can unlock more of his powers

Best to worst at driving, LU edition:

Sky: if we’re talking about sensibility then Sky is probably one of the better drivers. He goes almost exactly the speed limit, doesn’t road rage, doesn’t fight with his passengers and he almost always has mints and boiled sweets available. The only downside is that his car is bright fucking red

Twilight: probably passed his test the quickest and is an overall safe driver unless Wild is in the car with him. He’s prone to subtle road rage (swearing under his breath, etc). Insists on playing country music constantly because it “helps him concentrate.”

Time: typical dad driver. If the boys are causing trouble he’ll purposefully swerve in the road or threaten to pull over and kick them out. Has a massive car that only he or Twilight can drive (Warriors tried once and reversed into someone else’s car). Has really stupid bumper stickers, including one with himself, Malon and eight kids

Four: very sensible but not the most amazing driver. He tires pretty easily because he has to really stretch his legs out to touch the pedals, even when he’s literally as close to the wheel as he can be. Has the smallest car of the group so he usually doesn’t have any passengers

Legend: he has TERRIBLE road rage and can be reckless at times when he’s tired or just sick of the people in the car, still has the decency to use indicators and go the speed limit though. Has pink fluffy dice in his car to distract the passengers from all the junk he has laying on the seats

Warriors: he’s fine until he drives down narrow roads or has to parallel park. The others are always placing bets on how many curbs he’s going to hit whenever he takes them out. He’s at least kind enough to let someone borrow his aux cord or plays music that isn’t country.

Hyrule: honestly doesn’t really know what he’s doing half of the time. Very bad at navigating and often gets lost, he doesn’t really mind though. Terrified of busy roads. Is the only one with a first aid kit that’s actually stocked up in the car

Wild: somehow passed his test after Hylia knows how many attempts. He’s very reckless and has been in the most accidents, almost all of them were caused by him so it’s a wonder he still has his license. Can also ride a motorcycle and uses that as his main form of transport

Wind: doesn’t have his driving license yet but when he does he’d probably be like Legend: a good driver but swears at everyone who causes a minor inconvenience to him on the road. Also probably sings sea shanties in the car
