Proces rytí mě moc baví

Proces tisknutí mě vůbec, ale vůbec nebaví

A taky mi - jak jde vidět - vůbec nejde. Z těch asi dvaceti pokusů se mi líbí tak jeden

Možná jsem si na první pokus mohl vybrat jednodušší motiv. Ale když tenhle se mi líbil

I stated new linocut yesterday. It’s a second work this year. 🟦 Blue is a color of the matrix, black is a design transferred on it and lighter areas are already carved in the block. 👉 This work is based on a photograph I took while driving Dwight Eisenhower Hwy on our way to the East Coast, late May 2018. As I mentioned before when it was still in progress, I made a biggest one so far

It's an A3 sized lino print. It took me about a week to draft it, then erase, then draft again and so on back and forth, in the meantime carving parts I felt okay with and hoped it will turn out great. I guess it did after all.

I was unhappy with the results of rolling ink so I used a sponge.
