Hey... I’m death inside :D But, hey, Svenne14, I realy like what you doing, so I’m divided between joy and fear for the next and last part of the story :V Link for the fanfiction here and you can find below the 2 last pictures and I commentary on that artwork (so spoiler), see ya.
Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3
IN ENGLISH ;
Compared to the last two, I’m not convinced by the result. It was difficult, really. I had in mind a great artwork with lots of details. But, hey, I still lack practice in painting...
To begin with, I already had the idea of the general composition from the beginning, (the draft shows it l; no difference xD) from the end of the chapter; the idea of the sunset was a good pretext and a very good conclusion; it marks the end of everything; symbol of death, this is visible in the 2 screens of the painting; Sean is surrounded by corpses, Daniel sees his best friend being devoured by vultures. I took a lot of liberty for it; the two actions do not take place at the same time; moreover Sean does not look at any sunset and Daniel looks away from the scene. To note, for Daniel I hesitated between the desperate one walking under the sun or the one who has armed and walking towards his brother... Finally, I preferred that the 2 characters share the same situation; despair. When reading, this is what we feel; there is nothing left to hope for; they will have a long and painful death. The sunset is also the last glimmer of hope. In addition, I also wanted to go back to chapter 2, with the destruction of Seatle; the light is similar, the clouds are on fire... I wanted to make a link with chapter 1 ; to emphasize this is the end of something. In the first drawing, they ignored the destructive glow of the bomb; this time he looked at it; he contemplated it. They accept their destiny. And since it’s a sunset, they accept their death.
The crack is there for three reasons; first because it refers to the mirror; the mirror is fragile like a living being.Then it represents their loved ones ; 5 lines representing grandparents, mother, father and the best friend;. And last, the mirror is broken... like them. Will they be able to fixe themselves? or die trying? Will they cross the other side of the mirror?
The clouds are bloody and on fire, in connection with the bloodshed and the horror in the camp, which burns the bodies of the innocents. The silhouettes are also very schematized; two anonymous mens in the background, represents the dehumanization and depersonalization of the prisoners of which Sean is a member. Likewise, he is the only one surrounded, where Daniel is alone. However, Sean is alone, because he does not share the plan with the other prisoners... except with his brother; the only one with he shares the first plan; the only one where the landscape is identical; so despite the distance and time, the brothers are still united. And will be again, no doubt in death.
My sunshine is death DDD: and so I am...  (╥﹏╥)
EN FRANÇAIS ;

I just finished playing Life is Strange 2. It was really good but I hated all the endings, so I drew my own.
Tumblr media
I call this ending The Two Wolf Brothers. I like to think this is how their story ended. After leaving Away, Sean and Daniel break through the wall and successfully make it into México. They find their dad’s house in Puerto Lobos, fix it up, and make a life for themselves there. Sean teaches Daniel spanish and homeschools him until Daniel is more independent (and fluent). Sean works various jobs at first, until he launches his career as a tattoo artist and opens up shop in their house. Him and Daniel also create art together, using Daniel’s power to make sculptures and cool stuff. I don’t like how LIS2 treated the characters in the end, and how it basically said they had to be bad people to live in México. Regardless of whether the portrayal is accurate (of Puerto Lobos and gang activity), it twisted my gut to see this story deny Sean and Daniel their happiness together in Esteban’s home country. Not only that, but it made their entire journey feel pointless.
So, that’s why I came up with a better ending—one where the two wolf brothers can live freely together, be happy, and still stay true to themselves, retaining what they learned from their father, Karen, and all the other important people in their life. As far as I’m concerned, this is what’s canon.
