Lisa Frankenstein kicks ass for a plethora of reasons but honestly Lisa and Taffy's sisterhood was such an unexpectedly sweet thing. Like you meet Taffy and immediately you're like OK, she's shallow and spoiled, seems like the wicked stepsister type especially once we meet the stepmom. But the further in you get the more you realize that Taffy is actually very earnest and does love Lisa, even though she doesn't quite understand how to connect with her. She's a self centered spoiled kid, and she hurts her, but she still loves her sister. And Lisa loves her too! Taffy is the only living person in Lisa's life that looks out for her and spends time with her. And even though she kind of sucks at it, it's still really meaningful.
It was a nice dynamic to add to the movie. It definitely would have been easier to just make Taffy a one note irredeemable mean girl and move on, but giving her some complexity made it so much more enjoyable!

the lisa + alec roommates sitch is so precious specifically bc they r both the two most talkative / abrasive / generally annoying members of the undersiders (w varying degrees of intent but regardless r still just always saying shit) but once brian + taylor go home they speak like 10 words to each other for the rest of the day .. sometimes in the morning they go into temporary fugue states at the kitchen table next to each other for 5 minutes while eating their cereal

I wonder how many times Lisa Kleypas cackled quietly to herself when writing about the Marsden disdain for Yankee fortunes in Again the Magic, because I know she had approximately all of Mommy’s Favorite Hero’s (Westcliff) life planned out at this point
