i forgot how good welcome to raccoon city was.

is it perfect no (but then what is?) but god is it creepy at times and enjoyable and the casting is great and the sound design of the creaks and groans inside the spencer mansion is spot on

Another anon here. I agree with you. Wesker was abused. People think if you are given a good education, food, and clothes that you are loved. No. Wesker was an experiment. If he failed, if he fell short of Spencer's standards, he would be replaced, he would be terminated just like Lisa Trevor. Lisa Trevor was also Spencer's pet, his experiment. Lisa was once a beautiful and smart young girl, doted on by Spencer until the viruses in her body mutated her rendering her useless to Spencer. In the reports, Wesker as a teenager was terrified of Lisa. He knew....he knew as it is implied, that he one day could be Lisa too. Wesker has a strong will to live, so he succeeded to survive. Then he betrayed Spencer by faking his death. If Wesker felt safe or loved why would he do that? This makes him an exceptional villain, an interesting character. Apologies, I wrote too much.

You did not write to much at all. Thank you so much for putting it out there, you are so right. It's good to know some people out there get it!

One of my fave thought exercises is placing a violent/monterous character and forcing them to be the hero of a story. If they normally kill on sight or by instinct, I force their "kill drives" to be diminished or missing entirely.

My fave Characters to answer the call of heroism include:

SCPs 682 and/or 096.

Mr X, Lisa Trevor, and Nemesis.

Slenderman, Sirenhead, or a similar faceless entity.

Various Killer characters from Dead by Daylight - my favorite being all of The Legion and The Hillbilly.

And my ultimate favorite unlikely hero; Jason Voorhees

No real goal in mind for these aus. Mostly just want characters/monsters who only know hatred, revulsion, or fear from others or themselves, suddenly be thrust into scenarios where they can be the hero of the story, despite their own personal feelings on the matter.
