Hotd writers choosing to adapt Mushroom's records out of everything they had in hand is the worst decision they could've ever come up with btw.

It's been stated time and time again that while F&B is purely built on records and gossip and morphed retelling of events out of bias and propaganda, Mushroom is the LEAST reliable of all the sources. He's a fool at Rhaenyra's court, his job is make people gasp and laugh, not retell historical events.

We're talking about the same guy who said that he had a penis large enough to match the size of his head, mind you. Also, he's obsessed with little girls giving BJs to Targaryen men somewhere in Flea Bottom. It's happened twice according to him.

The writers' reasoning for this choice is basically that F&B was written by Maesters and Septons, who were all greedy men, apart from being Green supporters. So anything they say is false, anything they say is written with sexist intent. Writer's intention was to do the exact opposite.

Then tell me, for the love of God, tell me, why is every woman apart from Rhaenyra, who is clearly whitewashed and I can go into heavy detail about that, basically shunned?

The Maesters claim Alicent left Viserys' body to rot and swell for days preparing and LEADING Rhaenyra's usurpation. She's the leader of the Greens, she and she alone. Not Otto. The Green Council answers only to her orders, they are loyal to HER.

I've seen people argue that since Alicent is what Maesters view as an "ideal" woman, then they would try anything to paint her in the best light possible. While I agree that this may be true, I don't think this is the case. In history books, even in real life, women are rarely painted as leaders or important figures.

For Queen Alicent to be written as THE face of the Greens, you know this mama wasn't playing around.

Now, how is this:

In ANY WAY, even comparable to THIS?:

At the end of ep.8 and quite literally the entirety of ep.9, Alicent is shown as a lost woman who doesn't even seem to know what she's doing, pushed by Viserys' last words about prophecy rather than SHEER DESIRE to get her hands dirty for her children's safety (which by the way will always be superior imo). The Green Council conspires behind her back, and on top of it all, she's yelled at by one of her own men and is made to take it like a beaten dog.

Moreover, we had Helaena's ROAST (yes it was a roast, my Queen inherited cunty lines from her cunty mother) against Aegon and her coronation, the latter being addressed as something quite wholesome, if you ask me. Alicent places her own crown upon her daughter's head and calls her "my Queen" after kissing her cheeks and kneeling. Afterwards, her and Alicent are literally written to be the only ones who could get through Aegon II's thick skull when he wanted to start the war right then and there as a result of Rhaenyra crowning herself on Dragonstone.

You hear me??? Aegon sat down and fucking listened to the two women in his life. Not the Council, them. These two were dogwalking him, the KING, on the daily, how is that sexist writing on the Maesters' part????

Yet these things are nowhere to be seen in Ryan Condal and Sara Hess' "progressive" show. We got beaten dog Alicent and Helaena being nothing but a walking spoiler machine other than yet another instrument to paint Aegon as the big bad wolf and usurper. Not a single scene of them counseling Aegon.

Baela and Rhaena have nearly no lines or scenes that don't show them in the presence of the Strongs. They are seemingly okay with anything Rhae throws their way because it's Rhae. The one and only scene about Baela openly speaking to her grandma about her wish to fight for Rhaenyra was deleted.

Meanwhile, Rhaenyra is stripped of her rage and thirst for vengeance, and instead made to negotiate for peace while in the books she was the one pushing to go to war first.

Can you tell me, again, how the fanfiction that is Hotd supposed to prove that they want to be "progressive" in contrast to the Maesters' "sexist" work, when literally all they do is whitewash Rhaenyra and sideline any woman who isn't her?

The Last Ronin 2: Re-Evolution Issue #1 LIVEBLOG

SPOILERS ABOUND. I'M NOT GOING TO BE NORMAL ABOUT THIS IT'LL PROBABLY GET SUPER LONG

Okay so Casey Marie's muscles are something I'm never going to get over. SHE LOOKS GOOD!!!!! Her getup is feeling a little too reminiscent of a cape-wielding superhero for my tastes to be honest - I really loved the more practical outfits she wore in TLR Lost Years, especially in issue 4 when she was running the training mission for the kids. But ah well, I'm sure this will grow on me. It may not be practical (edna's law of no capes is coming to mind, also PLEASE TIE YOUR HAIR UP WHEN YOU'RE FIGHTING GIRL!!!) but it's very cunty anyway which I appreciate

FINAL THOUGHTS:

dude that first issue was wordy but the kids were ON POINT. they were so fun!! their dialogue is fun and they kick ass.

i loved yi announcing the punishment for casey while the others were like NOO SHE DIDNT MEAN THAT DONT LISTEN TO HER. we're getting more of their personalities and it's great!! it was a nice throwback to issue 2 of lost years when they were cleaning - yi refused to help because of how strictly she was following instructions. im picking up that she might be neurodivergent but i did get that from the lost years too - only doing things within strict instructions, getting frustrated at teaching odyn chess, not because of him playing horseys with the knights but that it was Against The Rules Of Chess - and now not picking up on some social cues. It's nice to see!! I love her very much, but it feels like besides rehashing the origin story she took a bit of a backseat to the other three.

i want to know more about why uno said being a rebel was moja's 'thing', since she didn't seem to be any more rebellious than the other three in this issue. we didn't get any unique interactions between her and casey marie which is what i felt was lacking from lost years but i wonder if this is hinting towards a more turbulent mother-daughter dynamic with them... I REALLY HOPE SO!! her and uno butting heads in a leo-raph way is very fun - i don't mind one or two prior group dynamics leaking into the new turtle siblings because they're all so different from the original 4.

uno seems to be taking on slightly more of a leader role than moja so i think he won the title of fearless leader. which is fine, i think it'll be fun to see and he's definitely less of an asshole now than when he was growing up in lost years. still picking on odyn a bit but seems to snipe at moja just as much. even when he was commenting on yi's storytelling he didn't make fun of her, though - i think she may have inherited the 2k3 don ability of being Completely Unbullyable.

i was really pleased that odyn felt more involved!! i feel like he took the backseat a few times in lost years - it was fun seeing more of his personality shine through! he and yi seem to get on the best, and i giggled at them rolling their eyes at moja and uno's raph-leo schtick. i didn't expect him to TURN TO FUCKING STONE THOUGH, so i'm nervous about that. WHAT DOES IT MEAN? WHO DID THIS TO MY BOY? IS HE GOING TO TURN BACK NEXT CHAPTER OR IS HE OUT OF COMMISSION UNTIL THE END OF THE RUN??? (if it's the latter i'll be a bit annoyed - don't take odyn away from the equation please!!)

I do wonder if by introducing casually that they can PSYCHICALLY CONNECT, the turtles will use that as a technique to reach odyn's mind to make sure he's still in there and piece together what's happened to him. i mean, their casual telepathy has gotta be some sort of chekhov's gun right?

and shit.... april was so fucking mad casey took the babies out so she's going to EXPLODE when she finds out what happened to her baby boy, her beloved favourite, her baby odyn :''(( im giggling rubbing my hands together waiting for the fallout but also if she cries i might cry too. speaking of april, she seems to be working on a new project and i saw nano particles mentioned - are we going to have a roninverse version of nano in this run???? I NEED MY ROBOT SON

as always, casey marie... u have aged like fine wine. u are stunning. disappointed that ur still believing that jiro can do good as a cop when their entire police force and government is corrupt as fuck. just feels very naive of her. i'm excited to see her break down at the concept of losing odyn - in fact i need everyone to mourn this beautiful kid. they tell us so much that shes a super clingy helicopter mom and i am picking up on the strict part, but it would be nice to see more of her just... hugging her kids. holding them. i get why she didnt in this issue but id love more mama casey squishing their cheeks and kissing their foreheads.

i have zero fucking clue what's going on with odyn. im wondering if it's somehow related to nano, or to whatever project April is working on - she says it's to do with clearing the tunnels, but I''m not convinced. who knows, there might be some ulterior motive happening.

I love these films with all my heart and you can definitely tell that my faves are literally every jigsaw apprentice (Including Logan from the later films) and most of the male characters (I.E. Adam and Peter Strahm). I honestly think the first three movies tie in together better than the later movies (seeing as we keep this crazy shit going).

Mostly the lyrics about a hero, lucy herself has agreed that natsu is kinda like her hero in the RAVE x FT crossover little comic if you didn't know. I would said the sound kinda fits lucy its not too brooding but not too crazy and hyper and its a good middle ground that I think would suit her :)

i loveee this song and honestly a lot of dreamcatcher songs I imagine nalu scenarios in my head to them because theyre songs are sooo catchy and fast paced I can imagine the craziest things,, anyway the reason I chose this song was mostly the lyrics i mean things like

i cant explain it but this is definitely them theyre soulmates and the "maybe you dont but i love you" definitely suits lucy i specifically thought of the line in 100yq of her thinking natsu doesnt like her in that way but you know she loves him anyway and they'll be together forever in his words etc etc

again i cant really explain how this is them but if i had to i would say the way theyre really close and best friends and yet have fallen in love with eachother but are hurting eachother going in circles with their relationship and not confronting their fears about losing each other either quite literally or their relationship and it's gonna build up until it explodes lol

okay last part these lyrics really remind me of the ending in dragon cry when lucy tells natsu that even with the different conflicting parts of him she knows him and she knows that even with all of that hes still just natsu and its what he needed to hear and she just knew that so :)

and also other than the lyrics I think the song can be very lucy sounding,, to me anyways :D

Okay after the essay on the last one I wanted to do a song that has a more simple explanation,, so Billlie have amazing songs theyre one of my favourite kpop groups and if you haven't listened to their songs they bang so hard please listen <3 anyways the lyrics are all based around of course an enchanted night with lines like "The moon is freaky, the stars are dreamy" etc etc which of course suits lucy due to the stars and such but also the moon part made me think of the galuna island arc and of course the whole eclipse gate and such so yeah! (also the song sounds soft and pretty like lucy.. (: )

another song based off of lyrics being very nalu i mean... playing with fire as a title is very nalu,, but also the lyrics are about going too far in love and getting hurt getting burnt etc etc which like you know that one scene in 100yq and like the whole slow burn thing they have,, its very fitting to me imo and also the sound suits lucy its again middle ground powerful but not too overwhelming to the point where its too powerful that it wouldnt suit lucy (not saying she isnt powerful she has her moments which is why i think a middle ground is good)

this might be a hit or miss for some people,, but hear me outtttt... I wanted to add a song thats very high confidence and powerful but a lot of songs in mind were too dark and serious but and I feel like this fits the most,, its feminine and fun with confidence and cunt slayage and its silly and fun and its so lucy to me its so so so lucy too me. I need to draw lucy in a queencard stage outfit like yesterday thank yew also i know a lot of people thought the lyrics were cringe and this that blah blah blah but i think adds to the fun and it kinda fits lucy sometimes shes a little silly and girlfail and thats okay we love her for it

YES NTMT... i am also dying to talk about this <3 SO MUCH of it feels s-coded! from the sound, to the visuals, the references, the lyrics! the combination of anger and defiance w vulnerability and self-doubt. even just the journey the album takes you on;; both sonically and emotionally! it all feels very sirius to me

on an individual song level... i blame myself OF COURSE. the hounds of hell imagery, the combo of defiance + self depreciation. "10 years old without a voice // i feel like nothing's really changed, now i'm just a little older" - s's childhood;;; the abuse, the neglect, the way he struggles to move past it and not be defined by it. i typically headcanon s as struggling with emotional regulation because his emotions were always punished and suppressed, and in some ways i feel like that feeling of voicelessness would carry over, esp in feeling like he needs to scream to be heard. also the way sky talks about people feeling entitled to her + people feeling like they know her when really they don't, or not taking her seriously. this all feels very true to how i see s. particularly re: people making initial judgements about him being a black, and assumptions people might make based on the way he presents himself, vs what's actually going on inside his head, etc etc..

NIGHT TIME, MY TIME... the final song (and my favourite)... the way it opens - "i'm useless and i know it" - feels reminiscent of the kind of language walburga or orion would have used, which he has internalised (and is now reclaiming???! idk this line has always felt a little bit sardonic to me). the idea that no matter how much he tries to distract himself, he always finds himself alone in the doom hours with his emotions for company. the slowness of the song after the brashness of the rest of the album feels like the aftermath of his chaos... BUT the way it picks itself up towards the end, w the faster and faster and faster becoming more and more distorted (delirious. detached even), like he's spiraling out, won't slow down, both because of and despite his ghosts

I was debating on also going with the slaughter maybe because of like pestilence, and also how they kind of throw other people under bus when messing with the oil rig and other organizations it made me connect it to the “unmotivated violence” idk rather just make it simple so the extinction

Idk this is the one I’m the most wishy-washy about some one else could probably find smth better but I decided to go with the lonely cause he very much enjoys his solitude with his books, but then it’s also like no he has and loves Crowley! But At the same time tho there’s that whole mention in the book where he like hints at Crowley when to get the fuck out of the bookshop so he can go back to reading. Idk out of all the fears this is the only I think he would most likely to be an avatar to (also gotta keep up the lonely + the eye parings right lmaoo)

Save You (part 1) ~ Mitch Rapp

"Please stop! Don't hurt him!"

She whimpered shutting her eyes tightly in attempts to stop the sight of her boyfriend, Mitch, being tortured. "Shut up!" One of the men shot back at her. She sobbed heavily causing Mitch to look in her direction despite the beating he's enduring at the same moment.

"I-it's okay babygirl. Everything is going to be okay." He reassured before taking yet another hit. He spat some blood onto the floor and started to laugh at the kidnappers attempt to crack him. "Why the fuck are you laughing?" One of the men spat out causing (y/n) to flinch at his tone. Mitch continued laughing finally looking up at the man. "Just you" He said smugly. "Oh yeah and why's that?" The same man bellowed at Mitch. "This" Mitch said twirling his head in all directions indicating the situation he is in right now. "It's pathetic. It's a pathetic attempt at trying to break me. I'm not giving anything up so you might as well kill me now" Mitch said grimacing while craning his neck trying to ease the pain slightly.

"Mitch please stop" His girlfriend pleaded causing him to once again turn his concentration to her. Immediately his eyes softened at her broken presence. Her hair stained with a matt scarlet. Her eyes haunted by her uncontrollable sobs and tears. Her hands tied behind her while she struggles to break free. Her entire body is shaking and trembling. The woman he loves his hurt because of him.

The kidnapper sighed happily at the sight of the pair as his new plan had finally clicked together. "Now where's the fun in killing you when you can watch us kill her?" He said pointing his razor sharp blade at the (y/h/c) girl.

She whimpered at his action and Mitch's eyes almost instantly hardened and glossed over with newfound tears. His smug demeanour died down and all he could think about was his girl, his (y/n). The man took a few steps towards (y/n) his knife at the ready.

"No! Please don't do this! Leave her alone!" Mitch screamed painfully but all the man did was chuckled sinisterly. The man brought the dagger up to her bruised and dirty cheek scraping it lightly but not drawing blood. (Y/n) wailed at the touch of the ice cold blade. "P-please don't hurt me" (y/n) attempted to swade the torturers mind. "Aw just look at her" He said sarcastically. "She's so precious. I mean if we didn't have to kill her I'd so tap that" The man yelled enthusiastically to Mitch causing him to growl at him spitefully.

"Leave her alone!" He demanded but to much of his avail his orders where ignored. "Now gorgeous you're gonna listen up okay?" He said putting his knife in his belt and making his way down to the level in which to meet (y/n)'s eyes.

"Do you understand?" He said placing his bloody hands on her bare thighs. She shut her eyes tightly in hopes that he would just go away but there was no hope. "Open your eyes babygirl" He ordered digging his nails into her tanned legs. She yelped out making Mitch feel even more angry but also even more useless.

(Y/n) opened her (y/e/c) eyes that were still coated in a thick mix of tears and mascara. "Good girl now tell me. Do you understand? Yes or no?" He spat digging his nails in tighter. Mitch started to clench his hand into a fist at the sight but remained silent apart from some uncontrollable cries he let out. "Y-yes" She weeped.

"Good now let's get down to it aye?" She hesitantly nodded. "So let's get this whole situation straightened out does that sound good to you princess?" He asked her forcing her to keep eye contact while Mitch could only watch the horrors entail. (Y/n) nodded and the man just smiled mischievously. "Let's start of with why we're are here. We are here because your cunty little boyfriend over there ruined my plans and killed half of my men. So now as you could probably understand I need some closure and information so that I can stop this from happening ever again. Understood?" The man explained to (y/n).

"W-why am I here?" She questioned still wailing. "Well you see (y/n) when we were tracking down good ol' Mitchy over there we found you along with him and that just sparked an idea in my brilliant mind. Do you know what that idea was (y/n)?" "T-to kill me?"

"Very good (y/n) but not just that we can do it in front of the man that got you into this mess" "Y-you're psychotic" She howled and spat into his face. Before Mitch could even react the man brought his hand to her face and smacked her. Her lip burst at the his hand. The blood trailed down her trembling face. "You fucking bitch!" He yelled in her bloody face. Mitch cried and screamed at the man but the man didn't take any notice and slapped her again.

Soon his hand turned into a fist and struck her face with a brutal force. (Y/n) nose seemed to break on impact and her face slammed painfully to the side. While spitting out the blood that was consuming her mouth she sobbed still looking down. "Stop it please! Leave her be! She didn't do anything!" Mitch roared letting out the fearful tears. "Just tell us what we need to know and we will" The man shot back now facing Mitch but still hovering over (y/n)'s frozen body. "She didn't do anything" He repeated hoping that maybe the man would become sympathetic to Mitchs and (y/n)'s current situation but of course that is not the way life is for them.

The man brought his hand up again but instead of hitting her face he stopped only inches away. "You know what? Let's have a little more fun." He said smiling and bringing his hand to where he put his dagger before. The man slid it out of his holder and brought it to her unclothed leg sciming over it.

"Now I'm going to say it again Mitch. Tell us what we need to know" "Fuck you" he returned. "Wrong answer" he said plunging the knife deep into his girlfriends fail leg. She screamed out in agony. The tears burning her eyes while she felt herself losing consciousness due to the excruciating pain that erupted in her leg.

"Get the fuck of off her!" Mitch screeched at him. "Tell me what I want and I will" he offered. "N-no Mitch don't" she whimpered before getting slapped again. "Shut the fuck up!" He said slapping her once more. "Get your hands off of her!" "Oh yeah what are you going to do? From what I can see your tied up and I'm not." The man teased while gesturing over to Mitch's state. "I'll fucking kill you asshole!" Mitch blared while lunging at him but not making it anywhere because of his restraints.

"Oh my god look at you!" He said laughing. "You're pathetic!" The man continued to laugh while Mitch growled at him. "But seriously when you going to give this whole mr badass charade and tell us the truth?" The man questioned. "Never" Mitch spat back. "Well then let's just get this show on the road then"

"W-wh-" Before Mitch could finish the man took hold of the knife and descended it into her stomach. She yelped out and screamed Mitch's name but all Mitch could do was scream back to her and struggle against his almost invincible restraints.

honestly this whole final showdown was a blast i cant put everything in but it was so much fun to read. the DRAMA the LAVA the SHOUTING t

“Hua Cheng had poured too much spiritual power into him. There really was too much, so much that it was completely outside the amount the cursed shackle could withstand.” - okay.... okay... the love you give will set you free... okay....

“With Jun Wu in his grip, he carried both their bodies and forcefully slammed into the incomparably-solid rock wall! He used all of his power in this smash, and in the rumbling and crashing of rocks, he also heard the sound of something breaking.” [...] “A moment later, Jun Wu suddenly asked, “That move. What is it called?” “...” Xie Lian raised his sleeve and wiped away the blood on the side of his face. “Shattering boulders on the chest.” YES!!!!! YES!!!!! xie lian actually lived that life!!!!!! i loved this detail so much

“After a moment of silence, Xie Lian took off the bamboo hat carried on his back, took it in his hand, and covered it over Jun Wu’s face.” - xie lian... good... another detail i love. a hat that protects from the rain, given in a moment of need, even to someone who has caused you hardship... we do not forget the kindness granted to us

“There was gratefulness, there was shame, there was heartache, there was wild joy, but above all else, there was incurable love.” - :pleading: i wish it was just that easy tbh. “i have to tell you about the worst parts of myself” “ive already seen them and i dont care i still love you“ truly the dream

okay i love this final wrap up chapter party its so fun. mu qing moving on from the broom thing!!! good for him!! the beggars get their reward!!! the fun ghost city chefs!! SQX!!!! and he xuan is?? here too??? he’s hungry??? fjadlkfjsdl

that was really fun i had a blast reading it and on the whole really liked it i WISH soo badly that hua cheng had gotten more outside of being cunty and devoted even tho those are both important i just wish there was more about like how he got by during those 800 years and like did he ever have doubts? what shaped his worldview was it all xie lian or was it his experience as a mortal as well? why is he so mean to e’ming? theres bits and pieces here and there and i know it was already SO long but that really would have been great if there was more about hc cuz tbh by the end, at least for me, the hualian relationship didnt actually feel as fleshed out as the xianle trio relationship like i still liked hualian’s dynamic and it was really sweet how much they clearly really liked each other and everything but i kind of wish some of the other subplots had been dropped or diminished in favor of more hc development i think that would have been cool

but anyway thats some of my thoughts and i really did enjoy the hell out of book 5 that was a riot and uhhh thanks to everyone who read these or commented *lends you spiritual energy through a high five*
