if i can be so real for a minute, the saltburn fandom is not very large and not very old... and yet i have had SO many odd convos. usually about farleigh but sometimes about other stuff. i've been called obnoxious so many times for mentioning everything that comes with farleigh's character but it's in the movie for a reason, man. i'm venting. Just saw Godzilla Minus One last night, having an Extremely Normal One about it. Art isn't dead after all

#go see it guys if you can I swear to god #tho there are a couple scenes which if you have severe thalasophobia Mayne....maybe don't or at least take a bathroom break then #Because for me thats never been an issue but FUCK I was biting my own hand in the theater #bouncing in my seat I was so tense because the suspense was AWFUL it was so good #it is. Not what I expected because I knew literally nothing about it besides 'its a godzilla movie' and my friend said it was good. I went #to see it because I'm a monster movie fan and wanted to meet up with a friend over movies and dinner and nothing else I give even one rats #ass about besides the color purple is out rn #so it shot the MOON over my expectations which were...me going in totally blind #the score is haunting the cast is goddamn incredible so is the cinematography and it has SO much to say allegorically #not just about the roots of the franchise aka the horrors of nuclear power #but about the effects of war and mental health stigma and the power of love and community and its a very humanizing film #unlike some other monster/disaster movies and. Ahhh #you will care so much about the humans in this movie

im gnawing at the bars of my cage. ive been increasingly displeased with my costume work, i can compare my recent craftsmanship to work from 2 years ago and that work is objectively better on a technical level. i KNOW this is happening because for one reason or another i've felt this impetus to put out something new EVERY single month and do one project right after another so my work has been getting progressively sloppier and rougher.

i've tried to actively combat it during a project by trying to get myself to focus and slow down, but at this point im almost certain i have to take a break and go through a hard reset period of a month or two (if not more) where i dont make any costumes at all. BUT this is where the gnawing comes in bc i know that taking a long break will be the best choice of action on all fronts but i want to make CAUGHSTOUMES NOW
