SHOWING HIM YOUR APPRECIATION
Tumblr media
toxic bae! mason, rough oral (m! receiving), hidden true feelings, vulnerable! reader, committed relationship
Tumblr media
it’s like you’re under a spell. for the past year this has been your everyday routine.
it makes him happy and seeing him happy makes you happy, you nuzzle your face into his palm and take him even deeper as he looks down at you with tender eyes
even with it being two years in the past, you still never forget about the cherry incident and whilst he truly wouldn’t ever choose anyone over you, he couldnt let you know that. not when the way you were milking his dick with those plump lips, eyes softly pleading with him to love you, to stay loyal to you, was purely fueled by insecurities of him possibly fucking someone else. stuffing himself inside a mouth more willing, more capable.
how funny girls are he mused. he almost chuckles at the thought. until he’s brought back to reality by your nails digging into the fat of his thighs, his hand is still resting on your cheek, a soft grip guiding your movements, he can see your eyes welling up with tears, and feels you trying to pull back for air.
he knows exactly how to tease you, how to get you to keep your mouth where it’s supposed to be, stuffed full of him. “fuck ____” he hisses “ngh that feels so good. just like that baby, just like that, i’m so close” he soon feels your throat relax and you stop trying to pull back. you look up at him with those doe eyes searching for confirmation and he bites his lip; you’re so eager, so trusting, so loving. he doesn’t deserve you.
he looks at you with half lidded eyes and nods. “mhm, keep that up baby, and you’re gonna make me cum way faster than usual” he airily laughs.
smiling around his cock fucking minx he thinks with new found motivation you continue to pleasure your incredible boyfriend. one of his hands dutifully rests on your head and the other squeezes the plush duvets on the bed. his head lolls back, deep groans falling from his lips as he focuses again on the sensations of this moment.
♡ he loves that you're such a good girl for him, worshipping his cock and his balls every day
♡ even if he thinks he knows the main reason you do it, he believes he deserves it regardless
♡ after all,, he makes sex with him something you think you wouldn’t ever be able to live without. he always makes you cum so hard and fills you so full with his cum aswell
♡ “yea… mm fuck” he curses, looking down at you. you should be thanking and loving on the cock that makes you feel so good
"good girl," he groans, “just like that, baby."
the closer he feels, the rougher the treatment gets. it’s ok because he knows you love it. his fingers wind themselves into your hair, tugging you closer until the tip of him penetrates your throat once more, making you gag loud and finally able to pull off. he can’t help a lazy grin appearing on his face at the sight of your teary eyes and drool connecting your swollen lips to his flushed tip.
"go on baby, keep goin'," he sighs, licking his lips,
"show me how much you love this dick."

New Chapter Posted
Amelia looked up, her voice quiet. “You ever hear that saying ‘be yourself; no one else can be you as well as you can!’?”
He nodded.
“It’s bullshit,” she whispered. “That person doesn’t have an identical twin.”
Amelia pulled her knees in close to her body. She wrapped her arms around them as if she was freezing. He’d never seen her look so exposed. She stared at the wall a few feet in front of her.
“Do you have any idea what it’s like to be second-best at being yourself?”

You know what I miss the most about litg season 2 that all the other seasons after have failed to do? The drama that doesn't just revolve our character... season 2, you had Hope and Priya drama, Lottie drama with just about anyone, Shannon and Jo drama like there was more to the characters than just some random comments made to remind you that they exist. Like poor Jamal never speaks or does anything if not paired with him.
I couldn't help but roll my eyes at the new chapter of season 6 because, of course, our character and whomever they're paired with went on a data to create "tension" or "drama" but it just makes me sigh because nothing happens with the other islanders other than being into your character.
I miss the time when the characters felt like real people and had interpersonal relationships, and the whole island didn't just revolve around your own character.

104 days. mc/suresh
hi, so umm i stayed up late last night and got this idea and for some magical reason actually managed to complete the writing and make it look like *something*.
so i present to you a fanfic i wrote at 3 am last night. i tried to explain what i think went thru suresh's mind after the break up. forgive me if it's a bit ooc, but i needed to feel things lmao. heavily inspired by Joji's "Glimpse of us".
cw; mentions of intercourse, nothing too explict
104 days.
It’s been over a hundred days since the last time I saw you.
A hundred and four to be exact.
A hundred and five days ago I made the biggest mistake of my life. A mistake that I’ll never forgive myself for. A mistake that cost me the best thing I have ever had.
Even now when I’m laying naked on her bed, I can’t think of her as anything else than that- a mistake. She’s on my right, softly caressing my cheek, her breathing still shallow after our last round.
God, I feel so dirty. Sleeping with her always brings back memories of that night. The tears in your eyes when you looked at my phone, the look of betrayal and hurt painted across your face, me on my knees begging you to stay with tears streaming down.
  You didn’t.
But I can’t stop doing this. She’s the only thing tying me back to you. When I let her go, I’m going to have to accept that I’ve lost you for good. There will be nothing left. I refuse to believe that I’ve thrown everything we had away for no reason, so I’m doing my best to convince myself that life with her can replace life with you.
She turns my head in her direction and kisses me so hard my lips feel bruised. I look deep into her eyes and somehow her face morphs into yours. I do that sometimes when I need to remind myself how it felt to hold you in my arms.
Not that it ever works.
She feels different. Her touch is foreign. Her voice is foreign. Even the way she breathes is foreign. I see her mouth move and I know she’s talking to me, but I can’t bring myself to care. I’m too busy remembering the way your cheeks would always turn the sweetest colour of pink after a kiss. The way your lips would plump up ever so slightly while you tried to catch your breath. The way your nose would crinkle in embarrassment whenever I pointed that out. God, I’d do anything to see you do that again, at least once. I never thought it was possible to miss someone as much as I miss you.
She shakes my shoulder and asks if I’m okay. That pulls me back to reality. I mutter a quick ‘I’m fine’ and tell her I’m tired. Lying through my teeth seems like the only thing I’m good at lately. She believes everything I say so easily, it was never like that with you. You could always see right through my bullshit, always knew when I tried to hide that something was bothering me, even the smallest things. I wonder what you would say if you saw how much your absence bothers me. How much it hurts me to not be able to see your beautiful face every day.
Would you even care?
I close my eyes when I kiss her goodnight. I give her three kisses, one on the forehead, one on the tip of her nose and one on the lips. Just like we always used to do. She cuddles up to me and I spoon her from behind. Her body doesn’t fit mine like yours did. We were like two puzzle pieces, together we completed a perfect picture. I take a deep breath and squeeze her waist, awaiting the sweet sigh that would escape your lips every time I did it, and it breaks my heart when it doesn’t come.
I need to remind myself that she isn’t you. That she’ll never be you, And that no matter how much effort I put in, she’ll never replace you.
But when I try hard enough I catch a glimpse of us, the one that makes it easier to pretend that you’re still mine, and I’m still yours.

ALL YOUR LIES
S2 | Kassam/MC (Aaliyah in this case because it’s gonna be a chapter in Seamless) | 2500+ words | @0shewrites0
summary | The Islanders are nearing the end of the month, the couples are pretty much set by now, and what better time than to throw in a lie detector test to heat things up? Kassam and Aaliyah are having a blast, sparks are flying like crazy, but they're not there yet - they haven't admitted to each other that they have feelings for each other. And could there be more secrets just waiting to be revealed through this challenge?
prompt | my submission to the Lie Detector Challenge Prompt @litgwritersroom
what to expect | Angst. And more angst.
note | Maybe you won't understand all the references, but then you'll just have to read the whole fic. The first two chapters are already online and I plan to upload weekly.
quote | “Trust is like a mirror, you can fix it if it's broken, but you can still see the crack in that mother fucker's reflection.” - Lady Gaga
Aaliyah sat on the chair next to the lie detector in the Hideaway, the cables and electrodes attached to her and she was sweating like crazy. She knew she had nothing to hide, and yet she was afraid that she would get so worked up in her emotions that she would accidentally lie. She desperately wanted Kassam to trust her because she knew his trust was so fragile.
Noah smiled encouragingly at her, and that should have reassured her, but it didn't. It also didn't help that all the islanders were sitting in the lounge watching her closely. Especially Kassam with his intense, piercing gaze. Through the damn camera set up in the corner of the room to her left, she could basically feel his eyes on her, and it sent nervous shivers down her spine. She swallowed hard and nodded, "Just start."
And Noah did. "Kassam's first question to you is, 'Did you have feelings for Lucas?'" He looked up at her expectantly.
Aaliyah shook her head confidently and answered, "No."
The screen to her right flashed green and she could read the word 'truth' on it.
Noah gave her a thumbs up and she exhaled in relief. Maybe this wasn't so bad.
"Alright, next question, 'Did you really like me for myself from the beginning and not just for my fame?'"
And again, Aaliyah confidently answered, "Yes."
Of course she had liked him for himself. He had been so different and had immediately caught her attention. And now that she knew him - really knew him - how could she not like him that much more?
The screen flashed green again and Aaliyah hummed contentedly. But then Noah read Kassam's third question, and suddenly she knew she was fucked.
"'Are you still keeping your promise to tell me as soon as you fall in love with me?'"
Because no, she hadn't kept that promise. She had fallen in love with him and she was falling in love with him all over again every day. It had taken her such a long time to even admit that to herself. But to muster up the courage to tell him? That was a completely different story.
Why? She was afraid of falling in love with him without him falling in love with her too.
What if she had told him and he had hesitated for that split second, where you just knew? Where you knew everything you needed to know? She wouldn't have been able to cope with that. So she had thought it safer to keep it a secret. To enjoy their time together and not bring feelings into it.
That was always easier.
"Aaliyah?" Noah's soft voice snapped her out of her thoughts and she panicked. "Your answer?"
She nodded quickly and decided to do the only thing she could to hide her true feelings, hoping and praying to the gods that the polygraph wouldn't pick up on her lie. "Yes," she replied quietly, just barely resisting the urge to squeeze her eyes shut. She didn't want to see the result because she knew what was coming. And she knew that Kassam would know now, too.
And as predicted, the screen turned blood red and the three letters "L-I-E" literally screamed at her,
LIAR!
She felt her cheeks flushing and suddenly wanted to hide somewhere. Anywhere. She wanted to dissolve into vapour and just disappear. Her face burned and when she looked at Noah, he had raised an eyebrow as if silently accusing her of lying about something so important. But that was exactly why she had wanted to keep it to herself. Because it was that important and she wasn't ready to tell him. Or anyone, for that matter. She wasn't sure she could ever have told him, not without the certainty that he would say it back. That he had fallen for her just as hard.
She didn't dare look at the camera, so she averted her eyes and stared at her hands clenching in her lap.
Finally Noah cleared his voice and said, "You have two more questions. Are you ready?"
Aaliyah looked up in surprise. "What?"
Noah just nodded and began to read, "Lottie asks, 'Have you been faithful to Kassam all this time and not wanted to get with someone else?'"
Aaliyah just nodded dazedly and whispered, "Yes." Of course she had been loyal. There was no one here who could make her feel the way Kassam made her feel.
She barely noticed the screen turn green before Noah asked the last question. “Anonymous said, ‘If someone you once had feelings for came back into your life - would those feelings surface again and would you leave Kassam for that person?’”
Aaliyah frowned and stared at Noah in disbelief. Who would ask her such a question? She shook her head and answered firmly, "No. Absolutely not."
The screen flashed green one last time and she took a deep breath. Finally, this was over and done with.
Noah smiled at her, "Well done, Aaliyah." Then he nodded towards the door and said, "You can go now."
Relieved, Aaliyah disconnected the electrodes and stood up. She left the Hideaway and walked across the lawn to the kitchen where the other islanders, who had already answered their questions, were gathered around a small iPad watching everything that happened in that room. Marisol looked up as she approached and smiled reassuringly at her. As Aaliyah took a seat next to her, she murmured, "That was intense, huh?"
Aaliyah sighed and nodded, "You can say that again..."
Marisol put her hand on her back and rubbed it in even circles. Aaliyah knew her fingers were itching to ask the all-important question, but she kept her mouth shut, for which Aaliyah was very grateful. She was dreading the moment she had to speak to Kassam and she needed a few moments to collect her thoughts.
"Oh," Chelsea squeaked, pointing at the iPad, "Kassam is up now. Look, Lia!"
Aaliyah lifted her head and stared at the small screen, eager to see how he would do. As much as she was on a rollercoaster of emotions at the moment, it wasn't over yet. The questions she had prepared for him were just as intense.
Noah read the first question out loud. “Aaliyah wants to know, ‘Was it your original plan to make me fall in love with you, only to dump me right after the show?’”
They hadn't talked about it, but it only made sense because he had told her he had wanted to prove that Love Island's concept of finding love on a reality TV show was all wrong. She wasn't surprised when he answered “yes” and the screen turned green. It wasn't in Kassam's nature to lie. Not about something so important.
“About something so important.”
The thought flashed through her like a lightning bolt and she winced. But she had done it - she had lied about 'something so important' and she felt terrible about it.
"Next question: 'Is that still your plan?'"
Kassam didn't even hesitate and answered firmly, "No." He seemed as cool and calm as ever, and if her lie had upset him, he didn't let on. Aaliyah admired that, but her heart started beating a little faster when the screen turned green again, which could only mean that he liked her.
Right?
Maybe he had even fallen in love with her? She nibbled her bottom lip and thought, That just means he's not playing with me, doesn't it? At least he doesn't want to hurt me, and why should he care if not because he really likes me?
She thought of all the times she had noticed this softness in his voice that he normally didn't have and only showed when he was talking to her. It gave her a fuzzy feeling inside and warmed her so much.
Noah's voice snapped her out of her thoughts and she focused on what he was saying. "'Was there any other reason why your last relationship destroyed you like that, besides her cheating on you?'"
Oh yeah... She couldn't help feeling that Kassam hadn't told her the whole truth. She knew that his ex had been cheating on him with one of his best mates for quite a while and that when he had broken up with her, she had told him that she had stopped loved him for a long time too. Aaliyah knew how much that had hurt him and how it had led to him not believing in love anymore. That he no longer wanted to love or even be loved. But she sensed that wasn't all there was. There was a piece of the puzzle missing and she felt she had a right to know.
Kassam hesitated for a moment before slowly nodding his head, only confirming what Aaliyah had already suspected.
There is another reason...
She looked at his face, his angsty eyebrows and cold eyes, and she knew that whatever it was - it was big. Huge, even.
But she couldn't think about it any further because Noah spoke up again. "There are three more questions. One from Lottie and two anonymous ones."
Kassam only raised her eyebrows, but signalled him to continue.
"Lottie wants to know, 'When you said my name at the beginning of Casa Amor - basically telling me you fancied me - did you mean it?'"
Aaliyah raised an eyebrow as well. Casa Amor had been so long ago, why did she even bother? Was it just because she couldn't believe Kassam had chosen Aaliyah over her? She shook her head in disbelief. She was with Gary now and they seemed happy. Right?
When she looked at Gary out of the corner of her eye, he had a frown on his face and a sour expression. "Why does she even care..." he muttered to himself and Graham patted him consolingly on the shoulder. But Gary just snorted, snatched Graham's hand away and hissed, "I don't need your pity."
Aaliyah turned her attention back to the iPad and watched as Kassam shook his head. If she looked closely, she could see the corners of his mouth twitch and she couldn't stop a smug grin from spreading across her face.
"And that's... the truth," Noah commented, nodding at Kassam.
"Next question, 'Did you have a sex dream about someone other than Aaliyah at any point in the villa?'"
Kassam snorted, "Who asked that?"
Noah shrugged, "Doesn't say. It's anonymous."
Kassam scoffed. "Yeah, no, I know exactly who asked that. Someone can't help but keep calling me out on my supposedly bad fuckboy habits, am I right, Hope?" He turned his head to stare at the camera and Aaliyah's grin widened even more. She could just imagine Hope's face turning so red she would need a cooling shower.
"Then watch me tell you the truth once and for all," Kassam continued, still staring into the camera, "No, I did not have a sex dream about anyone other than Lia."
Immediately the screen flashed green, but Kassam didn't even look at it.
He looked so sure of himself that it made Aaliyah's stomach heat up. Not that she had ever doubted him, but to have it confirmed by him once again was hot.
Heat crept up her cheeks and she bit her lip. Marisol noticed and nudged her teasingly, "You're a lucky girl, babe."
Aaliyah chuckled and shrugged nonchalantly.
Noah cleared his throat, at which Kassam tilted his head in his direction.
"Okay, here's the last question. Again from anonymous. ‘If your ex came back to you and said she was sorry and wanted you back and that she still loved you - would you consider giving her another chance?’”
Something in Kassam's demeanour changed. His eyes became hollow - almost numb - and his jaw tightened.
And Aaliyah couldn't help but wonder, Who knows about his ex? After all, he only told me!
"No," he groaned out through clenched teeth, and it sounded hard and determined. But Aaliyah couldn't help noticing the insecurity that resonated in his voice. He didn't sound as confident and sure now as he had seconds before. And when the screen turned red and she knew he had lied, her heart sank.
Lie. It's a lie.
Chelsea gasped audibly and gave Aaliyah a look that made her heart tighten painfully.
No, no, no, no. This can't be true!
But when she looked at the iPad again, the screen was still red. Especially now that he basically knew she had fallen in love with him because she had involuntarily told him through the lie detector, it hurt.
Her fear of not being loved back turned into sheer panic and her body began to shake uncontrollably. Her fingers felt frozen and she could no longer move. When she tried to draw in a breath, it sounded more like a pathetic sob. Everyone around her turned to look at her - sympathy and pity were etched on their faces - but that only made her want to retch. She was staring at the small screen in front of her again when she noticed Kassam look up in shock and turn his head to look back at the camera. It felt like he was looking her straight in the eye, and the look he gave her sent a chill down her spine. His eyes looked panicked, almost haunted - like a deer caught in the headlights of a car at night - but he also looked genuinely shocked and confused. He opened his mouth, but no sound came out. Then he jerked his head around and snapped at Noah, "What do you mean it's a lie? There's no way in hell I'd give her another chance!"
His voice sounded upset and seriously pissed off, but Noah just shook his head weakly and muttered, "I'm afraid that's exactly what it says."
For a moment Kassam just stared at him, but it seemed more like he was staring right through him, then he got up from his seat, ripped the electrodes off his body and slowly walked out of the room. Aaliyah shuddered as she realised she had never seen him so angry. The way he had powerfully but calmly ripped off the wires and strode so elegantly out of the room was alarming. Because she knew how much he could freak out and how loud he could get - he had shown it with Lucas. But this was different now. He was eerily quiet. Too quiet. And she knew what people were saying - you can tell how dangerous a person is by the way they quietly hold in their anger.
She shuddered again, but froze abruptly as she realised that he was only so angry because he had realised that he could try to fool her, but never a lie detector. The polygraph had called him out, and now there was no turning back. Her vision blurred and her eyes welled up with tears.
Was this it? Did they even stand a chance? Had they ever had one?

Double Booked
Marshall x MC
A second angst piece from me? Might be more realistic than you think 🤣
His Guilty Secret brought this out.
Ila had thought she finally found the one.
It was a premature thought, they’d only been on a handful of dates in a month, but her mum always said that when you know, you know.
And Ila felt like she knew.
It had been a chance encounter to be sure, she happened to be the next available artist when he wandered in the tattoo shoppe she ran- and she just so happened to specialize in the style he wanted.
By the time he left, he had managed to flirt her into giving him her personal number, laying it on thicker than factor 50.
Their first date had been the classic dinner, where they bonded over the regular things- common interests, sibling drama.
Their second date they went hang gliding, feeling the adrenaline pumping.
Their third date they went bowling, friendly competition brewing between them.
Their fourth date was trivia he helped organize at a pub near her shoppe.
Their fifth date he had surprised her with her favorite movies, but he didn’t try to push her when she insisted on taking things slow.
Their sixth date however…
Their sixth date threw a wrench in the works.
Showed her how wrong she’d been.
Wrong about him being the one, wrong about what she thought was brewing between them- just wrong about him.
Because she walked into the restaurant she was supposed to meet him, only to stumble into someone she knew very well.
Her twin sister.
Amelia.
Ila’s jaw dropped open, having no idea that her sister was even in town, while her twin smiled widely, “Ila! Babes, I did not expect to see you here!”
Ila glanced around the dimly lit, cozy restaurant before settling her gaze back on her sister, “I didn’t expect to see you either. Date?”
“Yeah,” She grinned again, glancing at the time on her phone, “He seems to be running late.”
“Surprised you’re still waiting,” Ila laughed, joking about how high school Amelia always said that she could make a boy wait, but she would never wait for him.
She didn’t miss a beat, nudging their shoulders together, “What can I say? This boy is special, younger me would never understand.” As the door opened behind them, Amelia turned to look, dropping her voice briefly, “And here he is now.”
“Hey, love,” Came a very smooth voice. A very smooth voice that Ila knew.
She turned slowly, hoping she was wrong, only to come face to face with her own date.
“Marshall?”
“Ila?” He froze midstep to Amelia, eyes widening in surprise, “What are you doing here?”
Ila scoffed, “Meeting you for dinner like you asked me.”
“Uh,” Amelia interjected, looking annoyed with Ila of all people, “He’s meeting me for dinner.”
“Clearly.” Ila shook her head, “All that shite you talked about your brother. Should’ve gotten his bloody number.”
Her low platform boots thumped against the ground- she knew this place wasn’t her style, it had been odd to her that he even invited her there- and as she made it halfway out the front door of the restaurant he caught her arm, “Come on, baby, don’t be like that. We were never exclusive or anything.”
She scoffed again, yanking her arm out of his grasp, “Not being exclusive, I’ll grant you that much. But there’s a fucking line when you want to date my twin sister at the same time. Daft winger.”
Amelia caught up to them just outside, a smirk settling on her face, “Guess we just happened to find the boy that likes me more, huh, sis?”
“Keep him then, lose my number while you’re at it.” She glared between them, “Both of you.”
“You’re just jealous I got him first.”
Ila stopped after one step, turning back to look at them one more time, “Amelia, how long did you say you’ve been seeing each other?”
“It doesn’t matter-“
“Two weeks.” She cut him off harshly, shooting him a look for trying to hide it.
Ila smirked, “Didn’t realize two weeks was longer than a month.”
She laughed to herself as she left the two of them arguing.
She needed to get her red flag reader calibrated before she went out with anyone again.
But first she was gonna make sure she blacklisted Marshall from her shoppe.

I’m so honored to be your fav anon! Thank you! 🥹😭
Okay what about this hypothetical/prediction to come.
Ozzy sticks and ends up single because Grace brings back Hamish and Amelia brings Marshall. Ozzy is absolutely shocked and also visibly unhappy to see him. It’s not the happy little reunion that MC and Amelia had. Then MC enters by herself. Ozzy is shocked that Grace switched, shocked to see Marshall, and triple shocked to see MC. Like heart stopping. Man was just thrown into a washer.
Now let’s think for a second s2 the stick or switch how some ended up single and picked islanders to save from unpopular couples.
Ozzy and MC end up single along with Amelia’s partner.
MC and Ozzy spend time together MC is there for Ozzy while going through the Marshall stuff and since their single they share a kiss. 😏
Now the three have to choose a person to save from the unpopular couples. They can’t be together just yet. Imagine Ozzy has to choose between saving Amelia or Grace or something like that and MC has to choose to save some people including Marshall. Either way they are stuck longing for each other. MC saved Marshall only because they want to see Ozzy and Marshall work out their problems. Ozzy is slightly upset MC chose Marshall because of their beef. The aaanngstttt. Marshall is done with the games because he realizes this is the one shot he has to make up with his brother and MC is there helping him do so. Ozzy is jealous their spending a lot of time together and lays it on thick acting like he’s into who he saves. Intentionally trying to make MC jealous and also pretending he doesn’t care because he’s hurt (cause he doesn’t know why MC and Marshall are getting close and that it’s for his benefit and not romantic) and had deep feelings for MC. To Ozzy its Marshall striking again, taking an ex but she was never his ex so Ozzy feels guilty to outright speak about how he feels. MC notices Ozzy being different and starts to get hurt by this but is still determined to help Marshall makeup with Ozzy for Ozzy’s sake.
Marshall during this is genuinely starting to fall for MC dropping the player boy antics. And when Marshall and Ozzy finally start to makeup which starts out as a fight. Marshall explains how much of a help we are and is on his way to apologize and confess his feelings the second time.
IN WALKS ZEPH. (aka Toby) who walks right up to MC and drops that he never went after Amelia, he was under the assumption it was MC, and that Amelia pretended to be MC down to the mannerisms. And double whammy she followed him on tour and she left him at the airport after an argument and he felt guilty that he just let her go. Zeph apologizes to MC and wants to be with her.
Then Marshal and Zeph are both vying for MC while Ozzy checks on MC and just trying to be there for her regardless of feelings because he “has our back” and knows what we need is a shoulder and ear.
Fb could never I know. 🫠😂
OH MY GOD!!!!! You just wrote out the outline to my next favorite fan fic. THE ANGST JESUS H CHRIST!!! It’s so good!!!! Istg fb just doesn’t get it sometimes. Like us being single would be sooooo much better for us as a player. Because we’d be able to still graft whoever we wanted. And if the person we wanted wasn’t single we’d have the challenge of winning them back plus their new partner to fight with lmao.
But this tho!! Like us getting closer to Marshall to help Ozzy is such an MC thing to do. She’s always trying to save somebody. Ozzys been burned so many times by Marshall that he wouldn’t even question that he was trying to hurt him again 🥺🥺 ugh just so good.

MASON FUCKS THE JEALOUSY OUT OF YOU
so we already know how cherry gate goes… lol but he’s hot so it cancels out cheating idc sjdh but this is still pre all that. you(mc) already have suspicions about mason and cherry. seeing them closer than usual, her laughing extra hard at his jokes much to your annoyance. you make this known to mason, only for him to roll his eyes and brush you off. once you bring it up again whilst he’s trying to sleep in the middle of the night, he’s had enough and pulls you from your shared bed in the room with the other sleeping islanders out on the daybeds for the privacy to shut you up.

“fuck.., you know ...” he moans in your ear as he steadily rams his thick cock up into your dripping hole, “you need to stop being such a brat.”
you cry out as mason grinds his tip against your sweet spot tearing lewd moans from your puffy lips, his kisses go from your jaw and finish on your throat, sucking gently. “baby I.. hate seeing.. you.. so close.. with…. her” you stutter from the pleasure throwing your head back.
“tsk” he shook his head as he removed his lips from your neck to watch his cock disappear between your folds, “shit, you’re the one I come back to each night baby” he mumbles ghosting your clit with his thumb. “fuck, I want you” he huffs feeling you tremble on top of him. he loves fucking you when you’re on top.
you moan grabbing his forearm, “cu-mming cum-ming” you babble gushing around his girth,. your walls clench his thick cock as you cum and as mason slowly fucks you through your high, he feels his own release approaching
“Don’t bring her up to me again” he grunts as his head falls into the crook of your neck, biting the flesh as he empties his load into you. barely able to catch his breath he confesses “you’re the only one I fill up like this”. whispering a softer “I love you” through clenched teeth, his cock being steadily milked by your gummy walls as you come down from your own high. your brain is too fucked out and you can barely think,, all your worries about his loyalty immediately dissipate into thin air. when his breathing comes steadily, and he pulls his head back to look at your fucked out happy expression, he truly almost feels bad lying to you.
Almost.

New Chapter posted today
Ozzy was looking around the room for anything, anything to latch onto that didn’t involve looking Lewie right in the eyes. “He’s broken up marriages, Lewie. The dude is like crack to women. Never once seen a girl turn him down.” Lewie pursed his lips, shaking his head, trying to stop himself from getting into it. But the door was open. The door was open for him to get into his head and pace in there.   “There’s a first time for everything.” The words were confident, but his delivery was not. The other guys seemed to hesitate for a moment. But, upon making sure he was certain, Roberto swiped next. And suddenly, Lewie’s throat went a bit tight.

Loving and Forgetting
Summary: In which Avery thinks it’s time for Suresh to let go.
Warnings: spoilers for episode 8, angst
Word count: 3.3k
Read it on ao3
Avery is in a deep sleep when she is suddenly awoken by the familiar chime of her phone. She hears a groan from a few beds over and blindly searches for it. Squinting slightly at the bright light in the otherwise dark room, she reads the text.
Avery, it’s time to get your graft on- you’ve been chosen to go on a date with a new islander, Grayson! #newbeginnings #beachbreakfast
Her eyes widen slightly when she processes the words. A new islander? And she was the first person in the villa to get to know him? Talk about perfect timing. There was nothing that Avery wanted more than to get away from the villa, and more specifically Suresh, to collect her thoughts. These last few days were so emotionally draining with Suresh’s constant presence around her and all the drama that he carried with him. Everyone had asked her how she felt about her situation, and that was the problem. She didn’t know. How could she when she wasn’t given the time to process any of it? A date is exactly what she needed.
As quickly and as quietly as she could, Avery slips out of her bed and makes her way into the dressing room. She changes in her black floral bikini, throwing on a pair of jean shorts over her bikini bottoms. Albeit a little shaky from her nerves, Avery does her light make up and takes her hair out of the braids she slept in. She had to admit, she looked good. Feeling confident in her appearance, she strides out of the villa and into a nearby car, all the other islanders still fast asleep.
On the way to the beach, Avery can’t help but wonder if this boy will be her saving grace. She was in need of a fresh face in the villa, one that wasn’t so invested in her relationship with Suresh. That was the last thing she wanted to think about. Not only that, but Avery wonders if the public voted for her to go on the date or if Grayson himself chose her. She didn’t know which she wanted to be true. If he hadn’t picked her, Avery would be well disappointed, but she had hoped that he would be good company anyway. However, if Grayson had chosen her for his date, she worried that perhaps that she wouldn’t be as into him as he would be with her. That maybe she wasn’t as over Suresh as she had pretended to be. And facing that feasible reality terrified her. She didn’t have time to think about Suresh and where they stood. Avery physically shakes out her anxiety as she arrives at her destination.
Sitting on a picnic blanket close to shore is one of the fittest men Avery has ever laid eyes on. He’s tall, tanned, and has got slightly messy curly brown hair with a scruffy yet well kept beard. He appeared to be like a proper boy next door, and Avery was surprised how close he was to her physical type. Her breath catches slightly in her throat as she takes him in. Based on his looks alone, Avery was definitely interested.
Grayson sees her approaching and stands politely to greet her. “Good morning! I’m Grayson, it’s a pleasure to finally meet you.” He wraps his muscular arms around her in a quick friendly hug. Avery hugs him back and detects a whiff of his woodsy cologne.
“Nice to meet you, Grayson. I’m Avery.” She gives a flirty look while holding eye contact. Avery notes his beautiful green eyes and bright smile. She was a sucker for a nice smile.
“Shall we?” Gesturing towards the blanket, Grayson sits down and proceeds to hand Avery a mimosa.
To say the least, Avery’s head had turned quite rapidly into her date with Grayson. He’s kind, funny, charming, and understanding. She learns that he's 26, a year older than she is. He works in real estate at a family firm. He has an older brother and a younger sister and lives alone in a flat in London. He came to Love Island looking for someone to spend his life with or at the very least, to meet new people. On top of that, he was the one to choose her for the date. But most importantly, Grayson tells her bluntly that she doesn’t have to talk about Suresh if she doesn’t want to, and he’d never bring up the subject if that’s what she wanted. That sentiment alone nearly had her swooning on the spot. Avery felt so comfortable with him, like she had known him for her whole life. She finds herself smiling, blushing, and laughing, feeling the most at ease she has in over a year. To be honest, Avery didn’t think of Suresh once during her time with Grayson.
Much sooner than Avery and Grayson wanted, their date comes to an end, and the pair find themselves back at the villa.
Avery glances at the villa doors then up at Grayson. “You nervous?”
“A little bit, yeah. Obviously I’ve seen things on the telly so I know things here and there, but it’s going to be weird to actually meet everyone, you know?”
“Don’t worry. Of course they’re gonna like you. I mean how could they not?Come on.” Avery grabs Grayson’s hand and gives a comforting squeeze, turning her head to flash him a reassuring smile. Walking ahead of him, she tugs on his arm faintly, sliding her hand down to grasp his. “Maybe not as much as me, but it is what it is.”
Grayson chuckles lightly, eyebrows raised in interest. “Oh, so you like me?”
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” Avery replies, playing coy. Shaking his head in amusement, Grayson follows Avery into the villa and then promptly into the kitchen where the others are. He keeps his hand firmly in hers the entire time.
“For the record, I like you.” Grayson discloses. Avery looks up at him and beams, her cheeks reddening.
“Avery! There you are! We were wondering where you disappeared to!” Eddie notices the unfamiliar boy next to her. His eyes widen slightly in shock but quickly hides it. “And who’s this you brought with you?” Everyone’s attention shifts to her.
“Hey everyone! This is Grayson.”
The islanders come over to greet Grayson while Avery takes a step back to observe, basking in the happiness she now feels. She knows she has a goofy grin on her face, but she can’t help it. Avery believes that things with Grayson could go somewhere special. For the first time in a while, Avery feels hopeful. She couldn’t blame herself for being excited.
While Kat and Eddie rush off to give Grayson a tour of the villa, the rest of the islanders stay back to talk. Grayson gives her a smile before Kat practically drags him away to the bedroom.
With a look of excitement on her face, Dana turns to Avery as the others chat amongst themselves. “So?”
“So what?”
“Tell us how your date went! Are you into him?” Dana blurts out. Avery is suddenly aware that the kitchen has gone silent as everyone waits for her answer. She can feel Suresh look at her intently. She doesn’t look in his direction.
“Well… To be honest, yeah he is a bit of me.” Suresh shifts uncomfortably in the corner of her eye. Dana squeals, appearing to be overjoyed at the news. “The date went really well. We sat on the beach and had some drinks and just got to know each other. He’s got great chat, and there’s definitely a spark there. So yeah I think I’d be interested in seeing if there’s something there beyond that.”
“How exciting! I hope it all works out for you, Avery. Know you need a good lad who treats you well.” Finn grins at her warmly, shooting her a friendly wink. Avery returns his playful glance but she can’t help but notice the look on Suresh’s face. It was one of defeat and regret. Jealousy and sadness. Longing and despair. Good. He deserved it, especially since he had said a few days prior that he would be happier if he had forgotten her.
There was no point in lying and saying that Avery wasn’t hurt by what Suresh had revealed that day because she was. It hurt more than she ever wanted to admit. It had replayed in her mind since, haunting her and never allowing for a quiet moment. Maybe I would be. There was such finality in his voice. Like he had come to the realization that she wasn’t worth all the trouble that he had swore up until that point in the villa that she was. That he had believed their connection and relationship was worth all that and more. Apparently not.
Avery didn’t understand how he could change his mind so quickly. One minute he was practically begging her for another chance, for her to see that he could be the man she deserved and the next he was saying that he wanted to forget her. His hot and cold routine was exhausting and confusing. She was exhausted. And to be frank, before the whole situation there was a small part of her that was willing to give him another shot. Blame it on pure stupidity or her being a hopeless romantic, but there was always something deep down inside of her that wanted to be with him. A side of her that believed that he was different and that their relationship could still be as perfect as it was before, not that she would ever tell him. But now? Now there wasn’t even the smallest sliver of her that still held the candle for him, and it was nobody’s fault but his own.
To make things worse, he hadn’t spoken to Avery since his admission. He didn’t pull her aside the next day to apologize like she thought he would. He didn’t talk to her when they had gotten a text saying that a recoupling was to happen the following day. He didn’t speak to her on the day of the recoupling to see where her head was at. He didn’t utter a word when she got first pick and chose to couple with Eddie, and Dana recoupled with him. He didn’t say anything to her in the three days that followed the recoupling.
And somehow, it’s now been five days since they had even acknowledged each other, let alone talked.
However, Avery didn’t miss his private smile after Dana had said his name at the recoupling. He seemed happy as he confidently strode over to her and gave her a peck on the lips that lasted a second too long, instead of on the cheek like she had done with Eddie. He sat down next to her and put his arm securely around Dana’s shoulder just like he used to do with Avery when they were dating. Avery also didn’t miss how well they seemed to get on, laughing loudly during their chats and giving each other not so subtle looks from across the room as the islanders hung out together. And most of all, she didn’t miss how he had spooned Dana while they slept peacefully in their bed one morning when she woke up earlier than everyone else. It was a curse to know Suresh so well in those moments because she knew that none of their actions were staged for her benefit. None of it was a ploy to get Avery to realize what she was missing. Suresh and Dana were genuinely getting along quite well, and it was hard for Avery to see it all unfold right in front of her. At first, she told herself that it was only because he was her ex and watching an ex move on would be weird for anyone. As the days went on though, she realized it was because he had dropped her in a matter of seconds and had seemed to forget about her in that time too, just as he had wanted. He replaced her like their relationship meant nothing to him.
Maybe Avery meant nothing to him.
“Hey, Avery?” Suresh breaks Avery out of her thoughts, now standing next to her. “Can we talk for a second?”
She can’t help the animosity that spills out of her mouth. “There’s nothing I have to say to you.” Suresh barely suppresses the flash of pain in his eyes.
“Please?” His tone is desperate, and it throws Avery off guard. She’s never seen nor heard him like that before.
“Fine. You get five minutes, and that’s it.” He looks relieved he as nods wordlessly and leads her to the daybeds. Avery places herself on the edge of the bed with a respectable gap between them, one that was never there before, even when they first came into the villa. Suresh notices and stares at the mountain of space that separates them. It was clear he was hurt by her physically distancing herself from him, yet she didn’t know how she should feel about it. She would never hurt him intentionally, but that didn’t change that he had done that time and time again to her. “Well? Are you going to say something?” Avery snaps, aware that her pent up frustration was about to bubble over. She could practically see the wheels turning in his head as he tried to find the right words to say.
“Did you mean what you said?” Suresh asks quietly, staring at his hands clasped together in his lap. He was obviously nervous. It was so unlike the usual cool, confident, cocky Suresh she was almost too familiar with.
Cocking her head to the side, Avery looks at him with indisputable confusion written on her face. “What do you mean?”
“When you said that you want to get to know the new boy. Did you mean that?”
“So you haven’t spoken to me in nearly a week, and you think you have the right to ask me that? Are you joking?”
“Just answer the question, Avery.”
“Of course I did. Why would I lie about that?” Avery knew where this conversation was headed, and she wished that she stood her ground and refused to speak to him in the first place.
“I don’t know. To make me jealous? To get pay back for everything I’ve done to you?” He throws his hands up marginally in frustration and finally turns to look at her. His voice raises slightly with anger. Avery feels her own irritation surfacing as a result.
“I know it may be hard for you to believe, but not everything I do revolves around you, Suresh. I like Grayson a lot, and I want to explore where that could lead me. What I do is none of your business. Plus, what does it even matter? You’re coupled with Dana now anyway.”
“That isn’t going to go anywhere.” He states matter-of-factly.
She rolls her eyes and lets out a huff of annoyance. Like she could ever believe that. “Oh really? And why is that?”
Suresh catches Avery’s eyes and holds her gaze. She shifts uncomfortably at the intensity they carry.
“Because she isn’t you.” And just like that the spell is broken almost as quickly as it began.
“Wow.” Avery says sarcastically, almost laughing at the absurdity of his confession. “You’re unbelievable, you know that?”
Suresh repeats her previous question. “And why’s that?”
“Because! The last time you acknowledged me you admitted that you’d be happier if you forgot me.” Avery is struggling to keep her voice down, and knowing the other islanders, they’d do everything they could to listen in. That was the last thing she wanted.
“It was just something that happened in the moment. I didn’t really mean it.”
Avery scoffs. “It seems like a lot of things just happen in the moment with you.”
“Look, I know I’ve hurt you before and I keep doing it, but I want more than anything for us to be together again. You have to know that.” She wanted to pull her hair out. She was so irritated. Since they had gotten into the villa, all they had done was play this stupid game of back and forth, and Avery was sick of it. She wanted it all to be over- for good.
“You’re neglecting to realize that you’re coupled up with Dana, not me. Not to mention that you two are clearly cracking on.”
“I’ll admit that I do rate the girl. She’s beautiful, and she’s got good chat. I do like spending time with her, and I should like her a lot more than I do but I don’t. I can’t ignore the simple fact that there’s something missing, that something isn’t entirely right.” Suresh pauses for a moment as he scoots closer to Avery and lightly grasps her hand in his. For whatever reason, she doesn’t move it away. “She doesn’t make me feel the same way you do. When we were together, I felt like I was on the top of the world, like nothing could ever tear me down. You made me feel like I could do anything I wanted and more because I had you by my side. You made me the best version of myself, someone who was worthy of your love.”
Defeated, Avery replies, all the fight left in her gone. “Maybe you’re just not giving yourself the proper chance to get to know her.” She hopes that Suresh understands the implication behind her words. He does. He always does when it comes to her.
“Don’t.” He utters. ”Don’t say that.” His words are a command, but his tone is soft, almost pleading.
“It’s true. You’re holding back because of the smallest possibility that we’re going to get back together.”
“What, is that wrong?”
“Yeah, it is. You have a girl that is really interested in you, but you can’t give her your all because you think that one day I’ll wake up and magically want you back. You can’t keep torturing yourself like this.” Avery feels nothing but compassion and empathy for him. Although she may not love Suresh in the same way that she had before, she wanted him to be happy. And he couldn’t do that if he was hung up on her.
“I don’t want her. I want you. I would wait until the end of time for you. Only you.” He squeezes her hand in desperation, imploring Avery to accept that she was it for him, and it didn’t matter how many women were interested in him. All he wants is her. From the moment he opens his eyes every morning to the second he falls asleep every night, all Suresh wanted was to be with Avery.
“If you ever want to be happy again, Suresh, you need to let the possibility of having me again go. Let me go, move on.” Her words, despite her soft tone, are like a slap to the face. Is that how she truly felt? Did she really want him to give up on her, on their relationship? Suresh felt his heart clench at the chance of it being her sincere feelings. She couldn’t back down and abandon what they had, just like he couldn’t. Avery is his soulmate, and you don’t give up on your soulmate.
“I’ll only ever be happy again if I have you, Avery. You know that.”
“Suresh, you said it yourself that you wanted to forget me. I’m just giving you a head start.” Avery gently slides her hand from his and climbs off the daybed before softening her voice slightly. She gives him a kind, sympathetic smile. “I hope you find what you’re looking for.”
With that Avery walks away, her head held high and all the weight from her shoulders removed. Just as she’s almost out of earshot, she hears Suresh speak again.
“I have, but I don’t think it’s me she’s looking for anymore.”

"I'll miss you too," he replied softly, giving her one last smile before turning and heading back to the villa to pack his suitcase and prepare to leave Mallorca.
Lucas' time in the villa had been far too short and now he had to go back home. Would he ever get a second chance with her or would he forever be the one who had got away?
genre | light angst. mutual pining. second chances. eventual fluff. eventual happy ending. the one that got away.

June 29th, 2019
Lucas sat on his black leather couch watching the latest episode of Love Island and thought, I wish I could have stayed a bit longer.
As he watched the islanders having fun, falling in love and engaging in all the drama, one person in particular stood out to him.
She was with Gary now and he could see that she was trying, but he could also see that she wasn't really into it. Her eyes looked dull, they had somehow lost the spark they had had in the first week of the month. They had still had that when Henrik and he had entered the villa on the fifth day.
He hadn't even had the chance to couple up with her, to do more than just hold her after Rocco had played her so badly. And what he would have given to kiss her, to hold her in his arms as they fell asleep side by side. Like a real couple.
But somehow the public hadn't been confident in him leaving the show with a girlfriend by his side, so they'd dumped him.
When Lucas thought back to that night, he was overcome by a sadness that could only be described as a strange homesickness. Homesick for a person. For her.
10 days earlier
"Lucas?" Her voice sounded hesitant as he turned back to face her.
"Hmm?"
"Can you...," her voice trailed off and she averted her eyes and stared down at her shoes. "I'm going to miss you," she finally whispered so quietly he thought he hadn't heard her properly.
Part of him wanted to go back and hug her again, hold her one last time, but the sensible part of him knew that would only make everything so much more difficult. So much more complicated.
As much as he'd wanted to be the one to couple up with her at the next recoupling, he wasn't going to get the chance now. And he wanted her to be happy, to forget him and move on with her life.
But the selfish part of his heart wanted her to suffer as much as he knew he would. He had thought this was going to be the summer of his life, but it turned out to be just another bittersweet summer. One of missed opportunities and chances. One of irrational feelings for a girl he would probably never see again.
Because there was no way he was going to that afterparty just to see her laughing happily alongside another one of those lads. No, he would do everything he could to spare himself that pain.
"I'll miss you too," he replied softly, giving her one last smile before turning and heading back to the villa to pack his suitcase and prepare to leave Mallorca.
June 29th, 2019
But now she would probably settle for Gary and end up with him. That bloke adored her, anyone could see that, and he would give her the world. But it was supposed to be him. He couldn't forget the way she used to look at him with her deep blue eyes that now seemed grey. So lifeless. Empty.
Henrik had coupled up with her before the girls had been taken to Casa Amor, and even there, with a whole new set of boys, the spark hadn't returned. She had seemed so out of place. Almost as if she missed him too.
And then Henrik had come back with Blake on his arm, and she had been left alone. All on her own. Henrik was his buddy, but at that moment he would have given anything to slap him. It was beyond him how no one but Gary could see that she deserved the whole damn world. As a result, Henrik and Blake had been dumped, which Lucas thought they deserved anyway.
His phone buzzed in the pocket of his jeans, interrupting his bitter thoughts and he took it out and sighed deeply, The producers? Huh, maybe they need me for another interview?
He picked up, "Yeah? Koh here."
But what he heard next made his heart stop beating for a little moment.
"Yes! I mean, of course. I'd love to. Thanks for the opportunity!"
5 days later
He was back in the beach hut and couldn’t believe his own eyes. He had been given the chance to return to the villa, and although the month was almost over, he was sure that it wouldn't take him more than a day to make his shot at love.
She was still there, and he couldn't wait to see her again.
"Why did you decide to come back when the producers called you a few days ago?"
Lucas grinned and raked his right hand through his gelled hair. "Well, I always thought my time at the villa was far too short. I didn't even get to couple up before I got booted out of the show three days after I moved in. And I feel like I deserved it."
"Who do you have your eye on coming back to the villa?"
He shrugged. "I think it's pretty obvious. She and I got along super well before I got dumped, and now that she's still part of the show, I just have to take my chances. Properly this time."
"What are you most looking forward to when you get back to the villa?"
"I'm looking forward to seeing her eyes light up again. I just know they will."
The guy asking the questions chuckled slightly, "Sounds pretty vague for now."
"What can I say?" Lucas grinned. "I said it when I first entered the villa and it's still true. Gotta maintain a bit of mystery, eh?"
The guy waved his hand dismissively and laughed, "Alright, Lucas, you're ready for your date. Please send me a message with her name and she'll be with you shortly after."
________________________
Lucas sat on a white chair next to a small table covered with a white cloth, a few snacks and bright yellow orange juice, the Spanish countryside stretching out before him. The morning sun warmed his back and he waited for her to arrive at the location. He was unusually nervous and even a little afraid that he had imagined it all. That she was actually happy with Gary and didn't want to be with someone she didn't even really know.
But now it was too late. All that was left now was to hope that she had missed him as much as he had missed her.
"No way!"
He heard a soft voice gasp behind him, and he recognised her voice immediately. Still so velvety and soft. Grinning, he turned and couldn't stop a smile from forming on his lips when he saw the expression on her face.
She was wearing a stunning deep blue dress that hugged her body just right and brought out the blue of her eyes amazingly well. Her brunette hair was straightened and framed her beautiful diamond-shaped face. Her eyes were wide and her lips slightly parted, but as soon as her eyes met his, she closed her mouth and swallowed, her cheeks taking on a delicate coral hue.
"Lucas!" she squealed, a happy smile settling on her face as she rushed to him and wrapped her arms around his shoulders, catching him off guard. But he quickly returned the hug and squeezed her tenderly, trying to ignore the butterflies in his stomach that made crazy somersaults as soon as her body touched his.
God, how he had missed holding her like this.
Before he could get carried away, he quickly cleared his throat, pulled back slightly and looked down at her. When she looked up at him, giving him a toothy grin, and he looked into her eyes, he almost choked on his own saliva.
He hadn't imagined anything, he'd bloody known it wasn't just his brain playing tricks on him.
The spark had returned, the spark he had missed all the time he had been away from the villa.
"You look happy to see me," he said carefully.
The blush on her cheeks deepened and she glanced down and nodded shyly, "I didn't think I'd see you again so soon."
Lucas pulled out the chair for her and beckoned her to sit, then pushed the chair back in before taking his own seat. He picked up the jar of freshly squeezed orange juice and poured them each a glass, then looked back at her.
"Well, isn't there anything you want to ask me?" He smirked at the look on her face. She still didn't seem to know if this was real or just a dream.
"Pinch me?" she breathed, and he reached out and placed his hand gently on hers. That seemed to do the trick, because she took a deep breath and then quickly shook her head.
"I'm sorry, I'm just a little confused. Why did you come back?"
Lucas pulled his hand away, reached for his glass and took a sip of the cool juice. "I felt like I didn't really have a chance the first time around."
"Yeah, I guess you could say that," she giggled and rolled her eyes. "So what have you been up to the last two weeks?"
Lucas smiled at her, "A bit of this and a bit of that. Since I was on paid leave for the month anyway, I wasn't needed at the clinic, so I spent most of my time visiting family and friends, a bit of alone time to sort my head out, and then I was also approached by a magazine for a photo shoot."
"Sounds fun!" She returned the smile and took a sip of her own orange juice.
"You're with Gary now, huh?" asked Lucas, watching her closely for a reaction, but she just shrugged nonchalantly.
"Yeah."
"So how's that going? Are you happy?" he inquired.
She shrugged again. "I think so. It's going well so far."
It didn't exactly sound enthusiastic. Or madly in love.
On the one hand it made him sad because he wanted her to be happy, on the other it gave him a nervous twinge in his abdomen because it just meant he still had a chance.
One more chance.
"Doesn't sound like that's all you’ve ever wanted," he added tentatively.
She snorted sarcastically, "Yeah, because it's not. But I guess you can't get everything you want, huh?" Suddenly she looked up, eyes wide with shock, and slapped her hands over her mouth, "Shit, forget what I said. I didn't mean it like that."
Lucas took a deep breath and propped his forearms on the table between them, leaning forward slightly and looking at her intently as he asked, "How did you mean it?"
She avoided eye contact and fiddled with the silver rings on her fingers. "It doesn't matter. I shouldn't have said that."
Before Lucas could stop himself, he had placed his index finger under her chin and lifted it slightly so she was looking at him again. Realisation flashed in her eyes, as she probably remembered how he'd always done that when he'd comforted her after Rocco had screwed her over.
"What are you doing?" she whispered, nervously wedging her lower lip between her teeth.
"You asked me why I came back, right?" began Lucas, and when she nodded slowly, he added, "Well, I didn't tell you the whole truth."
Her eyes widened again, but she remained silent, so he swallowed hard and continued, "I came back for you."
Then three things happened, and one was sweeter than the other, making Lucas' heart beat so fast he thought he would faint.
First her eyes widened, then they glazed over ever so slightly, and the smile that lit up her face afterwards was enough to make his knees go as weak as goddamn custard.
"Thank fuck I'm sitting down right now," he muttered softly, but she heard him and her cheeks flushed so hard she covered her face with her hands and backed away.
"You... you came back for me?" she finally breathed, peeking out from between her fingers, and it looked so adorable that Lucas had to bite his cheek to keep from bursting out laughing. Instead, he nodded reassuringly and said, "Yes, I did."
"B-but why?" She stumbled over her own words, and it was the cutest thing he had ever heard come out of her mouth.
"Because I can't get you out of my head," he answered in a firm voice, and her eyes glossed over again.
Finally, she cleared her throat, put her hands in her lap and said softly, "That's good to know … Because I couldn't get you out of my head either."
A grin spread across Lucas' face and he clicked his tongue, "I know."
She raised her eyebrows and narrowed her eyes, "You... know? How would you know?"
"I saw it in your eyes. You weren't happy. And your answer to my question about how things were going with Gary only confirmed it." He shrugged, but couldn't wipe the probably stupid grin off his face.
"I…," she interrupted herself, shaking her head slowly, "so you've known all along?"
Lucas nodded wordlessly.
A pained expression settled on her face and she asked, "Why didn't you come back sooner if you knew?"
"I couldn't. Believe me, if there had been a way, I wouldn't have left in the first place." He sighed, but his eyes never left her face.
She nodded sadly and mumbled, "For the record, I would have liked that."
"You know what I would like right now, though?"
When she said nothing and just stared at him questioningly, he added in a lowered voice, "I don't think I can stand not kissing you any longer."
She gasped softly and blushed again, but then smiled and, looking him straight in the eye, blurted out, "Then why don't you kiss me?"
And Lucas didn't need to be told twice. He pushed back his chair and stood up, pulling her to her feet by her arms, pressing her body against his and leaning in towards her. He felt her heart hammering in her chest and heard how shallow her breathing was, and he wrapped his arms around her waist, closing the tiny gap and finally capturing her lips in a soft, sweet kiss.
As she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer, the butterflies in his stomach went completely amok, and the desire he'd felt for her since the first moment he'd met her finally flowed out of him and poured over her. He couldn't suppress a soft groan when she tightened her grip and deepened the kiss.
She tasted like a promise, like a second chance, and adrenaline coursed through his veins as he realised that this was it. This was the second chance he had needed. Nothing else mattered from now on out.
He’d taken the risk, had taken his shot, and he hadn't missed.
Maybe this could still be the summer of his life.
author’s note | To all my Lucas stans:
Please ignore the game for a second. I know Lucas canonically won't stay with you if you decide to cheat on your current partner with him, but that's irrelevant to this fic. In this fic it's all about the fluff and the romance and him finally getting the girl.
I don't care about the details at this point and neither should you. Just enjoy this little thing for what it is and don't complicate it ❤️
