why aren't there more mysteries that take place in nursing homes & retirement communities. i want to watch a group of deranged retirees-cum-amateur-detectives combine their powers of:

decades of life experience

boredom-fueled busybody shamelessness

access to the most gossipy next-door-neighbors in existence

"I am too old to be arrested and/or give a shit" attitude

and solve crimes. this should be an enormous subgenre.

#their sidekick/Watson/pet hacker is a 15 year old grandkid who hangs out with gram gram on the weekends #her only power is that she has above average search engine skills and flexible knees #which is completely sufficient to round out the group's skill set #they involve her in heist style operations #on the rare occasion she gets caught housebreaking she explains her grandma locked herself out of the condo and asked for help getting in #then this sweet slightly addled old lady shows up and explains she got the address mixed up #it's so confusing when you're old & all the houses look alike and oh she's so sorry to have caused so much trouble #and meanwhile the teenager is rolling her eyes bc she's aware gram gram was a career criminal & con artist for 50 years #anyway gimme a 80-year-old con artist turned amateur sleuth who loves getting older because people are less suspicious of little old ladies #this all takes place in florida naturally

Tucker lives in my head often so I wanted to give him some attention with this piece! And I maybe, just a little bit, went overboard (sorry colorists), but I give the gift of letting them decide what to put on Tucker's screen (for @green-with-envy-phandom-event )

Half done with my mend pile in the 2024 Get Shit Done resolution. Some of these items I haven’t worn in over a year because of the mends, others have been closed with safety pins because I haven’t taken the time to sew buttons on.

It all took one evening to fix 🤦‍♀️

I think that was the cheapest and easiest way to go #I can’t believe how quick it went. Regardless of my excitement though, it's still kind of upsetting that they're going to be locked behind DLC. I'm also kind of disappointed that Goro is in his princely attire which is a shame. I didn't have a lot of hope that we'd get actual third semester content, but it's still a bit of a bummer. Especially since that means there'll be no development from that part of Royal for either of them. I know I shouldn't be super negative because I am very glad that they included Goro in this even if the format isn't ideal. And I will be getting it regardless because I want to experience it for myself. But I can't pretend that I don't have some pretty big reservations (not Goro related ones) about it either that heavily dampens my excitement. I at least have to give Atlus some credit though, because if they slap Goro's face on it I'm too much of a sucker to not at least be excited for that! (Now I just gotta hope that the DLC is actually good...)

I'm also afraid of that, but this is a very interesting question. I came up with these names based on the charts. Maneskin being signed with Sony, and all the songwriters they worked with in L.A.

Avril Lavigne: signed to Sony, currently collaborating with MGK's pop punk phase

The Chainsmokers: a highly infectious disease signed to Sony

Devon Cole: featured Sony artist, different sound but similar branding, TikTok phenomenon

Imagine Dragons: #41 Billboard Global, maintained relevance through collabing with everyone, allegedly own guitars

Maroon 5: Jason Evigan of The Loneliest is one of their main songwriters

Here's who I think Maneskin should work with:

Miley Cyrus: No fucking way right? Except she hasn't had a #1 since Wrecking Ball despite spending millions on the best in the bis so Maneskin are a bargain regardless

Bishop Briggs: hell of a songwriter, husky but contrasting vocal tone would sound epic with Damiano's

Royal Blood: band x band collabs can be a lot of instruments, but this is a duo + the acts admire each other so it'd work well

Travis Barker: a rite of passage at this point and our wonderful Ethan is humble enough to pull this off

Willow: the next big thing in alt pop + the next big thing in alt rock it just makes sense

#art #traditional art #watercolour #oc art #ocs #oc group: lia crystal darling #oc: lia #even though it was kinda a learning curve to get professional grade watercolours working with my cheap sketchbooks #im so glad i got the chance to get some like MAN #my old student paints were very nice but it would take me like five layers to get as deep or rich of a colour that i can get in like 2 now #and it wouldnt look anywhere near as smooth. w&n sepia + rose carthane + a smidge of burnt umber my beloved #absolutely beautiful range of mid and dark browns from that mix #ive also been getting some WONDERFUL purples from like some kinda rose + sennelier ultramarine its great #(from like that little set sennelier sells of like five huge tubes of professional grade paint for like 20 bucks as a sampler) #(SUCH a good deal) #still searching for the perfect black paint tho. the w&n ivory black is the best ive used so far but its still not quite what i would like #maybe i really should look into water soluable dye inks or something so i can get a really deep really smooth colour #watercolours have turned me into a colour nerd. my deepest apologies
