... was in a bit of a silly goofy mood, forgive me (and be sure to read the endnotes!)

This is the last thing Sidney Crosby imagined he'd come home to: another man settled in his chair.

His cat is curled in the intruder's lap, and said intruder's hand is curled over your knee. And Sidney's soup—homemade and hand-delivered—split in bowls between you.

"Thought you didn't need a babysitter?"

Sidney watches the gleeful expression wilt on your pretty face—color drained like his bank account succeeding the egregious bid he matched to make bail—with equal measures of self-satisfaction and self-contempt.

"I-I didn't, I just—"

"Settle down, Chief," the ranger laughs. "I knew our little lady here was feeling under the weather, so I thought I'd stop by after my patrol shift and keep her company while you were indisposed."

Sidney glares into the bright cerulean eyes of one Anthony Beauvillier, a park ranger in the Atlantic Coast Uplands region.

If memory serves, he was recently transferred from Waverley to Blue Mountain but resides in Peggy's Cove. This is a 50-minute detour.

In the opposite direction.

The Fire Chief's jaw is painfully tight, his blood scalding. If it were't for his, albeit dwindling, sense of self preservation, Sidney would've marched up those two steps—recently refurbished at his hand, might he add—to forcefully remove the park narc's grubby paw from your body.

Mercifully—for all involved parties, you do so shortly and of your own volition before joining Sid in your driveway.

Guilt smeared over your sickly features, your mouth parts, an explanation hot on your tongue, but all that comes is a grizzly cough that stings Sid's chest just hearing it. Despite his vexation, he's patient with you; he owes it to you both to wait it out. He hopes this is just one big misunderstanding somehow.

But, before you're able, the absolute last person Sidney wants to hear from pipes up.

"Resting, ma biche. You're meant to be resting," Tito attempts to coax you back onto the porch—back to his side—with an outstretched, up-turned hand.

Not as quick with his French as he'd like to be, he growls at the perceived insult. However, rather than running his fist through the opposition's teeth in your honor, Sidney defiles it.

The park ranger, and everyone else who happens to be out and about tonight, are treated to an unexpected eyeful of their Fire Chief's innermost feelings rushing to the surface. They pour into your mouth with reckless abandon, unconcerned with his public image or the utter lack of privacy; this kiss could be broadcast on the Nightly News for all he cares.

All that matters to Sidney Crosby is making his intentions known, and crystal fucking clear. Staking his claim is just a bonus.

"Well, it looks like my work here is done."

At your dazed expression and Sid's bewilderment, Tito stands from the rocking chair with a genuine smile fixed on his face. As he deposits evergreen Stetson atop his wind-swept hair, he pauses.

"Y'all have a nice night," he winks with a tip of the brim, bidding you farewell before slipping into his government-issued Ram.

As gravel crunches under the vehicle's wheels, gears click into place behind Sidney's burnt umber eyes, now gleaming with clarity.

"Nate and Emmy." — Statement, not a question.

"Please, don't be angry. They just wanted to help because... because I didn't believe that... y'know." You gesture to the sliver of space that still separates you, a bashful little smile pushing up your feverish cheeks.

He couldn't find it in himself to be ticked off about your best friends' not-so-harebrained scheme—which, honestly, deserved more credit than he would ever be willing to give it—if he wanted to. Not while standing so close he can smell the PEI tulips you've been elbow-deep in all month, and definitely not having tasted the whisper of herbal tea lingering on your tongue.

Smirking, he closes the gap with a gentle tug.

"Oh, I know." Voice dropping to a thick hush, his lips hovering a lick above your skin, "D'you believe it now?"

The pinkish skin crinkles around his warm eyes as you pretend to think.

"I could do with a little more... convincing," you ultimately quip. "But, only if you're up for the t—"

The remainder of your cajoling is overtaken by a fit of giggles as he corrals you up and across the porch. The front door slams shut with a satisfying air of finality. Though, not before little Ember slips in with you.

Chief Crosby was thorough by nature, and he'd be damned if he didn't dedicate the evening to dispelling any and all doubts threatening to take root. Feigned, or not.

Monster Headcanons: Snow Leopard Shifter Were!Leopard , Were!Snow Leopard x Reader: PS Reader, Plus size reader

Snow Leopard Shifter Headcanons...

Typically lives in an extremely cold climate

Preferable at high altitudes- most likely a mountain, cliff area

During winter months, they may have a home a little closer to the base of the mountain.

During the summer months, they tend to 'vacation' to higher altitudes where it is MUCH colder

Funny fact: Doesn't actually have a roar

Usually comminicates in a series of chuffing sounds.

Growls, hisses, mew and even wails are also acceptable.

They more human counterpart tends to be someone who scoffs a lot

They also tend to be on the shorter side rather than the popular tall genes of many of their other were!cousins

They are usually somewhere between 5'6" and 5'9"

Tend to be stock and very muscular- which is very useful for the mountainous terrain

Despite how thick and dense their fur is, they're not really too bad at shedding.

They do it once in the summer time if they are near warmer temperatures for very long but often it stills as nice and thick as ever

Though their long furry tail does do a fair bit of shedding but as long as it's brushed, it's a fairly painless process

This creature's wild counterpart has enormous paws that are well suited to traveling through, and often on top of, snow.

They're human side tends to have quite large hands and feet because of this.

Also, because of their habitat you can expect this creature to bleed off heat like a roaring fire

Between their natural excelerated body temperature and their dense fur...you'll never be cold

They are not particularly known for being agressively towards human however they can be if you are new and in their territory

Especially if they have cubs

This creature is quite a shy creature and therefore a bit more of a hermit, lol

A bit of a homebody and needs a fair bit of a alone time

They definitely mark their territory

Now their more animalistic side may just straight up do the animal ways of things

However, the human side of them will just make it very obvious that this place is taken and inhabitated by someone else

Now, if you are lucky enough to be loved by one of them, they'll make it obvious

I mean, they don't go out much but it will be known

They're also the type to get your sentimental jewelry with the two of yous names or initials on it

This is also the person that will most definitely post pictures of you on their Instagram

And damn sure be stalking yours and commenting, lol

They are crespusular creatures by nature but it really does all depend on their own needs.

Expect their asses to be up at dawn busying about very productively for a few hours before slinking back to bed or the couch for a nap

Then when dusk approached they'll have another burst of energy

It is not uncommon at all for a female were! snow leopard to have more than one father to her cubs as both males and females tend to enjoy their alone time

Some tend to be very independant and have a need for solitude until mating season

While some are very involved with their cubs

This is why there is a huge thing with Were!Snow Leopards of join custody parenting.

It's more common for a couple just to mate and produce than to actually get married

Because of this female weres in particular may have more than one father to her cubs and this is totally acceptable in their culture

In large cities, they're tend to be more and one area but in smaller areas maybe a total of five spread out for several miles unless there just happens to be a whole line of them

Sometimes, they are a bit of a pushover so if you end up in an argument with them, they may either shut down, walk away or give up. They're not especially aggressive and sometimes, sadly, even if they are right they'd rather just not argue about it

However, it is worthy to note that if this habits you are dealing with a potential shut down from your were partner

They will often retreat back to their hideaways and go into solitary mode

So do approach this with caution

Attacks against humans are pretty rare to be honest so legends of wereshifters of the snow leopard variety have been few and far between

In fact, if there is a spike in human population where a snow leopard were is they tend to become nocturnal creatures to avoid unnecessary conflict

It's a blessing that they can adapt but a curse that they will basically bend over backwards to avoid it

However, do not be so niave to think that you are not being watched if you find yourself a neigbor to one

Expect them to analyze the situation from a distance

They have the strongest stomach of all the weres and is known as the opportunistic predator

Meaning...they'll basically eat anything and they do not mind leftovers

They will most definitely the ones to hunt what's in season but also shop the bargain/out of season clearance rack at the store

They have absolutely no probably eating that pumpkin flavored pancake mix in June

Or the coconut mixed drink in December

They don't give a fuck

They can also put it away- like damn

They can eat...and eat...and eat

When they cook, they cook a lot and they eat leftovers for days

They tend to like to do their hunting and/or shopping alone since they have a system

They're very much the one that coupons

However, if they have a mate- they'll do this with them and it's not an issue

They prefer to buy in bulk - especially in meat- but will settle for smaller mark downs

1000% has a deep freezer in the basement to store all the noms and good deals

While they do tend to have a largely carnivorous diet, they are actually omnivores and will eat leafy greens and vegetables as well.

Ok, so mating season.

This usually falls between January - March though it can just vary from time to time and circumstances

Look, I'll just say this- when it's time- it's time

And they make it know

They put out this scent to others that let them know that they're in business so to speak, lol

The process/dating process/courtship is fucking long and complex

Shit takes forever

I mean, it's a whole thing

Increased calling which in more human modernized terms can just mean frequent texts or phone calls.

Or perhaps even just physical visits or video calls.

You'll just been seeing and hearing of them a lot

They also tend to have several visual displays

Do not be surprised if you end up with a house full of groceries or a warm cooked meal

Or just some things around your home that needed fixing turn up repaired

It's also not uncommon for them to be stuck to you like velcro during this time

They like and they want you to know

So during this time, they want to spend as much time as possible with you

They'll chill out and give you both the space you need eventually but they're just really into you right now

Now, while some were snow leopards can have more than one baby daddy so to speak- it's also not uncommon for them to mate for life as well

It really just depends on the were in question

All I can say is that if you've gained the attention of this grumpy little recluse...watch out

Because they'll likely never leave you alone after that

You'll be their most precious treasure.

But you'll never go cold and hungry so who's the real winner here?

Spell of the Month: Orange Oil!

Hello, Magical Darlings!

Welcome back to another installment of Witchy Weirdness! Today’s post is the Spell of the Month post for February!

Now, hopefully I’ll keep it short and snappy...but ya’ll know I’m long winded as hell sometimes, lol.

So Orange Oil!

Why is it awesome?

Well, first of all...it smells like heaven.

Pure heaven full of all your dreams.

Well, if you like oranges that is.

Personally, I do so I think it’s the best thing ever.

Second, holy crap- this stuff is like catnip for energy, stamina and passion.

Which is WHY it’s perfect to do in the month of February- a month CHARGED with this energy.

Whether you do love spells or you don’t...using this ish in lust and passion workings is EVERYTHING.

And ya’ll...Imma just tell you and be on the complete 100 with ya.

This is the best thing I have EVER tried to sex and stamina spells.

Like, holy fucking shit I think I found the magic equivalent of viagra.

At least for me.

Now, ingredients:

A vessel of some sort.

Personally I do large batches of this in a quart mason jars and then divy it up into smaller bottles.

Oil of your choosing. I used a mixture of sunflower and jojoba because this is the BEST combo for massage oil for ME. Now, that’s just for me. You do you.

Orange peels. l prefer fresh but either works.

If you want to add some spice and tingle you can add cinnamon but as usual, you use at your own feels.

I’m not ya doctor and I ain’t tell you that this is what you need to do. I’m just a country witch and I’m sharing the shit that blows my mind and works for me.

Ok, moving on.

Now, this is so easy it’s ridiculous BUT....

Cleanse your jar and charge with your energy.

Place in orange peels and cinnamon bark if you choose.

Cover with oil.

Bless and charge.

Personally, I’ve done this every February for the past three years and this is how I do it.

I do my thing and then I store it in a cool, dark place for all of February.

Come March....holy fucking shit.

Ish is READY.

But again, it’s all up to you on how you want to do it.

Uses: energy, love, lust, solar magic, stamina, banishing bad energy, passion

Also, you can totally add it to:

Tea

Annointing

Offerings

Great to rub pets with (Sans cinnamon) during the warmer months to ward off fleas and ticks. I do a version of this with apple cider vinegar and my outside cat never gets fleas.

Add mint to it and add it behind the ears for headaches and to relieve tension.

o hey i do writing prompts,, those used in this imagine will be in bold

imagine having a child with sirius black

“my love?” sirius looked up from the baby he was cradling to see you sweeping through the hallway of your house, looking tired and confused and unbearably adorable. sirius gave you a look to keep you quiet as you realized the sleeping baby in his arms. you cooed as you came closer to the pair.

after a warm moment, sirius went to quietly tuck your child back into his crib. when he reentered the kitchen you had found him in, you held your arms out to him. he smiled as he fell into your warm embrace.

“did i wake you?” he muttered into your hair, arms securely around your waist as you both began to sway in the silence of the kitchen.

“no,” you smiled, shaking your head. “just got cold, i think.” he chuckled, pressing a kiss into your hair. “when’s the last time you slept?”

“sleep?” he scoffed. “never heard of her.”

you shook your head again with a laugh, pulling away just barely from him to swat at his chest. “wake me next time. you’ve done so much already.”

“alright, but you literally birthed this beautiful child,” sirius retorted. “i think it’s time to do my share.” you gave him an adoring smile. “i’ll get used to it with time.”

“time can only do so much,” you sighed, running a hand through his tousled hair. “i wouldn’t depend on it.”

“you’re wise for your age,” sirius nodded. you muttered a quiet ‘thank you’ before tucking your head back into his warm chest. he smiled as you both embraced a peaceful moment with each other. then he muttered, “thank you.”

“for what, my love?”

“i never thought i’d ever know what it felt like to look at someone and smile for no reason. but now i have two people who make me happier than i can understand.” you pressed a sweet kiss to his lips before dragging him back into bed.

I'm always up for writing plus size content! I'm all about spreading body positivity and I understand that some days, we just have bad days. That's not fair but that's how it is. Sometimes it's nice for others to show their appreciate but the best kind (and only kind) of appreciation that matters is what we think of ourselves. Self love is the best love, I believe. I'm also all about promoting strong, confidence women, no matter what size and shape they come in. But again, I understand that those days happen and of course we all have our own journeys. Sometimes we have to slip in the mud alot before we get to the top of that mountain. So of course, I'll put my own spin on it, lol. My question is this though. Who are you requesting for the pairing with the reader? Or were you just submitting a prompt?

Monster Headcanons: Snowy Owl Shifter

x Reader: PS Reader, Plus Size Reader

Tend to have very intense, sharp eyes

Usually quite large eyes as well

Extremely good eyesight from a distance but up close needs glasses

Amazing hearing and a good listener

Usually a few freckles or moles that mimic the black/brown or gray patterns on their feathers

Usually a strong, beefy body

broad chested and thick

long arms with big hands

Height just varies from individual to individual

Tends like apartments on high floors

Or a house with more than one story

However, they usually prefer their bedrooms/nest on the first floor or even a bed frame that is lower to the floor itself

Very quiet and observant

Might be a little shy, might not- depends on the individual

They might just be quiet

Diurnal- active day and night

Healthy appetite

A bit picky with groceries but will actually eat anything

Big on grooming- tons of products fitting to their needs

If they’re a hair person, they have the products that they like and that’s it

If they’re a beard person they love a good beard oil, balm, gel, the works.

Huge on mani/pedi- matter what the gender and for you too

10/10 books couples massages

EXTREMELY PROTECTIVE

Always tucking your under their wing- er, arm, lol

Deity Spotlight: Eos the Greek Goddess of Dawn

January is the first month of the new year and therefore a great time for new beginnings!

So, I thought now would be the perfect time to look at Eos, the Greek Goddess of Dawn!

Sometimes known as the Saffron Robed goddess, the rosy fingered goddess of dawn!

Linked with winged chariots or even winged herself and a sparkling tiara!

This Goddess of Dawn is an underrated yet powerful deity to work with!

The dawn of a new day and a chance for new beginnings!

Great for new habitual workings, savings, starting over, babies, moving, new homes and fabulous for New Year Resolutions!

Eos, and her Roman counterpart, Aurora are excellent deities to work with when trying to stomp out bad habits and look towards new healthier ones!

Also, fabulous to use for sunrise/morning meditation.

A great choice for full moons as they are reset buttons!

Don’t forget we have an awesome lunar event coming up this month and the Rosy fingered goddess could be a great asset for you during this Super Blood Wolf Moon!
