Chapter 6 of ‘A Songbird’s Melody’ (Witcher/Skyrim) is now up!
Written by myself and the wonderful @littlemissordinary
Read it here on ao3
More than once on the road he had turned to speak to Geralt only to remember that he wasn’t there and had to deal with the fresh wave of hurt and loss that came with the absence of his best friend. It was almost maddening sometimes. They felt it most when they settled into a camp for the night. There was no teasing banter, no grunts or Hm’s, no rhythmic sound of him whetting his blades, no frustrated sighs as he tried to meditate whilst they messed around. Jaskier in particular was quieter than usual, and Vayla knew he was feeling the loss of the Witcher deeply. The bard slept restlessly and became riddled with tension whenever anyone raised their voice around him.

littlemissordinary:
The last thing Mariah remembered before falling asleep that night was the slight scent of Deans cologne a tired grin fell onto her lips as Sam turned to look at her.
“Tired?”
She nodded rubbing her eyes as she laid across the backseat. Dean’s chuckling sounded oddly distant but she still enjoyed its sound.
“Get some rest babygirl you deserve it.”
Her green eyes drooped and either she wasn’t paying attention or she had already succumbed to the sweet release of exhaustion because Sam and Dean had said something and she didn’t quite catch it before she fell asleep. She had strange dreams that night. Dreams that, when she started awake a few hours later, harsh sunlight spilling in through the windows, flitted away quickly even when she tried to hold onto the echoes. She couldn’t remember what they had been about, only that they left her feeling hollow and confused. She pushed herself up slowly, blinking the sleep from her eyes. She was alone. Sam and Dean probably got out to stretch their legs, she thought with a soft sigh. She arched in a delicious stretch, rolling her shoulders and rubbing her face in her hands and climbed out of the car. Tired eyes glanced around at least briefly before she turned to see a gas station only a few steps away. Not a long walk but regardless she was thankful that they’d be able to rest up in the hotel for a few days. Soaking in the morning sun she sighed and once again glanced around A few high rise buildings in the distance, cars zipping through the streets not to far away. “Hm..” She rubbed her eyes, her voice scratching against her throat. Glancing over at the gas station she contemplated at least for the moment whether or not she should go in and grab her brothers but it was a quick decision as she knew it was better to stay put. Huffing gently she opened the back door once again before entering. Summer was on the breeze so needless to say the warmth of the car was starting to grow, peeling away her leather jacket Mariah placed it just underneath her head and curled back up under the blanket, she closed her eyes. However her sleep didn’t last long as a sudden rush of cool air swept over her. The feeling had goosebumps dotting her flesh and almost immediately the young woman sat up. Rubbing her arm to warm herself she wrapped the blanket around her frame adjusting just slightly but as she once again looked around she noticed ominous dark swirling clouds heading in her direction. What in the hell? All at once, the sky was torn apart by a flash of lightning that nearly had the younger Winchester screaming as the thunder roared around her. She sucked in a breath listening to the storm as it moved closer, lightning ripping through the sky. She screamed heart pounding now she backed up as far as she could. “What the fuck?” She glanced around watching as the lightning scattered across the sky. Struggling to control the panic rising in her, she tried to remember what she has been told about getting caught in a thunderstorm. The impala was the safest place right now. The roar of the thunder, the flashes of lightning. She had to force herself to not duck down and hide like a scared little child. There was a tremendous crack somewhere high above her and the car jolted as a fork of lightning struck the hood. She was fine, she was safe, she kept telling herself, the car conducts the electricity, but to her horror she noticed that the front was quickly becoming engulfed with flames. In desperation she wrenched the handle of the car door to get out but it jammed up. Heart in her throat, stomach doing flips, she realised that she was stuck. She took another breath in to calm down but found her heart pounding was making it hard to breath. She could feel the heat rising and she again looked for a way, any way out. The window! Reaching for the gun at her thigh she smiled but near immediately reminded herself she placed everything in the trunk and cursed she looked to the windows then, She took a breath and saw no other option, pounding on them she cried out for help. Hoping, begging, praying someone would hear her
@fourseance
his hands clenched to his siblings.  there was no other way, they had to trust five.  he, after all, was their brother and was an expert at time-traveling.  although klaus never felt uneasy on the matter of his future, he questioned if traveling back was the best, knowing that five had gotten lost before.  yet the other didn’t seem to question the fact that this was going on, all they knew was that the end of the world was facing them straight on and they had no other answer.  his hands grew sweaty as he couldn’t dry them off as five had already started the process of pulling them back.  they could do this, they could fix everything, they could help vanya.
he gazed back at five one more time before his eyes shut and everything went black.  klaus couldn’t describe the feeling he had when they were time-traveling but it was new and exciting.  this was what five felt all the time his mind curiously wondering if even the few minutes he traveled back were this exhilarating, yet he knew that five would never share true feeling about anything.
the world around him was black, there was no pain as the sound around him grew silent his clenched hands that held on to his siblings were spread out as he balled them up into a fist, he didn’t want to yell, but he knew if he had there would be no voice coming from him.  opening his eyes finally the area was dark still his body moving quickly but it was like he wasn’t moving at all.  he knew nothing about what was going on, yet he saw no one, not even five.
then came the piercing sound that drilled into his ears unsure of the end result and if this was normal, yet it seemed like something that could deafen a man.  his hands pushed against his ears trying to drown out the high pitch squealing yet it seemed to do no good as his body moved quicker and faster as it pushed him forward, the light emerged as klaus fell outwards, spinning down as he fell to the ground, falling on to his belly, his hands pressed against the cement, feeling the dirt underneath him.
he opened his eyes, seeing himself on the ground as he brought himself up quickly, seeing he was alone. biting down on his bottom lip, he took in his surroundings, questioning where the others were. “luther ?? alison ?? ” he let out, seeing neither of his siblings.  “five ?? “ he added one more. he was alone it seemed in a place he didn’t recognize.
he stood there lost, unsure of what to do and unsure if the others survived. suddenly klaus heard a loud scream, a cry out for help as he moved towards the loud sounds, turning the corner he saw the car, the flames, the voice was coming from inside. rushing over there klaus had no ideas what he could do as he saw the women inside calling out for her life.  rushing to the door, he tried opening the driver's side, yet the success was nothing.  he tried to speak to her trying to reassure her.
“ben !! ” he called out, realizing he wasn’t fully alone, “help her.” he spoke, his hands moving upwards revealing his palms as to the women in the car could see the car unlock as klaus yanked the door open, pulling her out as he dragged her feet away from he engulfed car. coughing he covered his mouth with his free hand as he pulled her to the grass.

A Case of the Supernatural- Part Two
Tumblr media
Previous
Summary: Things at the BAU start to get a little intense with the newcomers and reader’s vague messages.
A/N: So I never meant to abandoned this, but lost all motivation a drive to continue it. I will try not to take as long for the next update. Also thank you @littlemissordinary for helping me!
Pairing: Spencer Reid x Fem! Ghost! Reader
Warnings: criminal minds talk, supernatural talk
Word Count: 1257
“There have been three victims so far. Each a white male in his middle to late thirties. They all show signs of cardiac arrest, but the coroner has yet to figure out exactly what caused it.” Penelope was briefing the team including the newcomers, Sam and Dean.
Spencer had been watching these two closely, Y/n’s message echoing in his mind like a broken record. Sam and Dean, there was something clearly off about them, and they were good at hiding it, but he’d get to the bottom of it.
“So, what exactly about this case calls for the BAU’s assistance”, Luke Alvez questioned. He was right, nothing about these exactly screamed foul play. Sam shot a glance toward Luke, then with curiosity back to the screen. There was a flash to his eyes but as he stood, he extended a hand toward the blonde with a charming smile as if asking for the remote. Penelope tried to hide the blush that was creeping across her cheeks as she passed Sam the remote.
Sam cleared his throat and began to explain, “The reason the case was brought to us and now to you,” he clicked a few buttons and images from other crime scenes appeared, “So get this. This has happened in four other states. First in New York, then Wisconsin, Montana and now in Maine. This may seem like your average sociopath just trying to make a name for themselves. But here’s where it gets interesting.” He clicked a few buttons pulling up the coroner's report as he says, “The time of death is at exactly 4’o clock with every victim.”
“So strange.” Matt Simmons and Tara Lewis spoke in unison, giving each other a quick glance and suppressing their laughter. Spencer focused his attention to the man sitting across from him, “Agent Smith do you have anything to add?” Spencer knew he was getting looks from the others because of the tone he used, but he did not care. Dean shot Reid a look, green eyes flashing with a sense of confidence. Lips curling into a slight pout as he placed his clasped hands onto the table. “Well, Agent. I was just thinkin’ of who could possibly be behind these killings.”
Spencer went to open his mouth, a retort hanging on the tip of his tongue but just before the words fell Emily cleared her throat. “Care to elaborate?” There was a Yelp, and all at once the attention fell back to Luke. That’s when he saw her. Y/n standing right next to Sam but neither him nor Dean seemed to be able to see her.
Pressing a finger to her lips as if to warn the team to be quiet y/n spoke up “Garcia, use those superpowers of yours and see if you can find anything on these two.” Then just like that she was gone. Luke was still cursing himself for still getting scared by y/n. Emily slid JJ a twenty under the table while Sam and Dean exchanged confused glances. This wasn’t missed by Alvarez as he was quick to come up with an explanation, “I thought I saw a spider.” Tara completely lost her composure.
The team had been assigned different task and pure usual Spencer was given the task of making a geographic profile. He had been so focused on his work however that when y/n appeared, he startled at her voice. “What’s up doc?” y/n beamed at him the best way a ghost could. Spencer’s heart ached, he missed her. He only wished he could hold her but knowing he couldn’t just made the pain in his chest worse.
“Hello, love. Have you been assisting Penelope with her vague assignment you gave her?” Spencer snickered at that. He remembered how when y/n was alive she and Penelope were always investigating something the was far off everyone else’s radar.
Y/n just nodded, and her smile faded. “Spence, it’s not going well. I don’t know how to explain it. There’s just something different about those two, and there’s so much anger coming off of them. Especially the short one he’s like a bomb waiting to explode.” At her words Spencer’s gut clenched, that didn’t help his theory on who these two men were. Putting down his pens he made his way up to the girl.
“You know I will never let anything harm you ever again.” Spencer’s eyes swam with unshed tears. Her face softening, “Oh, Spence..” Before Spencer could say anything else there was a knock at the door. Spencer wiped the tears from his eyes as he made his way to open the door.
On the other side of the door stood Sam. He looked slightly out of place, but his straight back and kind face made up for it all. Spencer much preferred Sam’s company compared to his partner’s. Sam shot Reid a smile, “Not interrupting anything am I?” The doctor sighed, eyes falling where Y/n once was “Not at all.”
Sam nodded as he asked, “Mind if I help then?”
Spencer handed the man a marker and started to catch him up on the profile. While he was talking his brain caught onto something that Sam mentioned in the briefing. All the states the murders had happened were all places they had recently had cases.
Spencer trailed off as he stared at the map. He looked at Sam who was confused by his sudden silence, then back to the map. The areas these killings keep happening were all in locations that were far too close for comfort.
-----
Not long after Spencer’s sudden and strange departer, Dean joined Sam infront of the map, “Hey Sammy, did you and the skinny fella find anything?”
Sam tapped the marker he was holding against his chin as he stared at the markings on the map. When he didn’t answer Dean fast enough Dean started snapping his fingers in his brother’s face, “Earth to Sam.” Sam looked at Dean and said, “I think all we are way over our heads here, but I think these profilers are way over their heads as well.”
Dean stared at Sam and gave him a looking telling the taller man to explain himself. Sam sighed, “I think the ghost we’ve been hunting is attached to Dr. Reid somehow and I think the rest of the BAU team knows it.”
“And how do you know this? Did your new best friend just come out and tell you all his secrets?” Dean teased Sam. This caused Sam to roll his eyes and point at the map, “No he got all weird when we started talking about where all the deaths have been happening.”
Before Dean could say anything, the door shut behind them and leaned against was the techy blonde woman that Sam was pretty sure was crushing on him. Sam put on a friendly smile and asked, “Oh hi Miss Garcia, what can we do for you?”
Penelope started walking towards the men with a stern look on her face. She held up her finger and said, “You two are not agents nor Smith and Jones your last names. Start explaining yourselves. Now.”
Dean looked at Sam with his wide green eyes. Sam sighed and said, “Okay you’re right we’re not FBI.” Penelope stepped closer and through gritted teeth asked, “Then who are you.”
Dean held up his hands in defeat and said, “Woah tiger calm down. We’ll explain, but you’re not going to believe us.” Penelope gave Dean an icy cold look and said, “Try me.”

A Witcher/Skyrim crossover
Chapter 1 of A Songbird’s Melody is now up!
READ IT HERE
written by myself and the lovely @littlemissordinary
“Whose crypt do you think this is anyway?” Jaskier hummed, taking a few wary steps toward the nearest brazier.
“Not sure, legends vary.”
“Legends?” Jaskier threw over his shoulder as he leaned over to inspect the hunk of metal.
Geralt watched him with a raised brow but shook his head and continued to explain as he too began to carefully inspect each of them.
“There are several surrounding Daedra, but all of them relate to Skyrim.”
Jaskier perked up, tilting his head.
“Skyrim?” he parroted quizzically, “You mean...Like the...myth?”
Geralt nodded, amber eyes glancing down at each of the burners for only a moment before confirming, “Exactly like the myth.”
“But it's a myth...right? We can’t possibly be in a tomb relating to...” Jaskier paused at the Witcher’s expression. His eyes widened with excitement, “Melitele’s tits! You mean we really-?”
Geralt gave a simple nod
“Just...Don’t touch anything,” he gruffed.
Jaskier scoffed. “Oh please, I’m not an idiot Geralt.”
OR
When Jaskier and Geralt accidentally rescue Vayla, last of the Dragonborn, they are thrown into a journey of death and destiny, heroics...and heartbreak.

Chapter 3 of ‘A Songbird’s Melody’ is now up!!
Read it here
“It can’t have gone far,” Geralt rumbled, “maybe if we head back to the stream we can track-”
He was interrupted by a scream. Jaskier’s scream.
His blood ran cold as he snapped his head round to see the bard tumble down the cliff and land in a heap at the bottom.

Chapter 2 of A Songbird’s Melody is now up!
Read on ao3
Extract
A rather tall, rather broad, and rather hairy Witcher stood in the doorway. His greying beard was pleated down his chest and his leather armour was well worn. On his back was the signature silver blade of the Witchers but instead of a steel sword, he carried a battle axe.
Geralt’s confusion and bewilderment rooted him to the spot. He hadn’t seen Taige in... years, decades. The older Witcher only came to the keep when he needed to rummage around in the library or discuss something with Vesemir. Other than that, he usually stayed away. There were too many painful memories here for him at Kaer Morhen. But what was even more confusing, and bewildering, was the fact that Vayla seemed to know Taige and Taige seemed to know Vayla, which didn’t make any sense at all.
Also, that fact that Taige was smiling. Something Geralt was pretty sure he had never seen the old Witcher do.
Jaskier was hovering by Geralt’s side, picking up on Geralt's confusion and trying very hard not to say anything that would make things worse or awkward.
The bard didn’t recognise the Witcher who had swept Vayla up into a bear hug that had the girl giggling. He had been at the keep enough times to know Eskel, Lambert, and Vesemir really well, but this new Witcher was a mystery to him. It was also very exciting. A new Witcher meant new stories which meant new ballads.
“Little Dragon,” Taige boomed, “It’s been too long.”
He finally put Vayla down and glanced at Geralt who was still holding Roach’s reins. Taige nodded to him.
“Geralt. You’re looking well,” the old Witcher grunted, losing the affection in his tone, “and who’s that human next to you?”
“Jaskier,” Jaskier puffed up slightly.
“Ah yes the little pet bard you allow to trail around with you,” there was scathing in Taige’s voice and Jaskier couldn’t hide his flash of hurt.
“He’s not-” Geralt tried to defend him but Taige’s attention was drawn back to Vayla.
“How have you been?” the old Witcher rumbled.

Chapter 5 of A Songbird’s Melody is now up!!
Read here on ao3
Written my yours truly and the wonderful @littlemissordinary
Teaser
Vayla and Jaskier awoke the next morning, once again wrapped in each other’s arms.
Strange dreams had plagued her through the night, but she hadn’t told Jaskier about them yet. He had enough to deal with right now.
Since his confession, the bard had been quieter than usual, watching Geralt follow Yennefer around as they packed up camp with a sad, pained expression. He was still on edge around the mage and Vayla kept trying to find little ways to keep him grounded.
As much as she was dreading going up the mountain to face off with a dragon, Vayla knew this entire dragon hunt would be less than ideal for Jaskier too, but Geralt was their friend and being left behind wasn’t something either of them wanted.
As they walked with the Witcher, their hands laced together for comfort, she felt that strange fluttering in her gut again when she looked at the bard.
There was an agreement to stop for a moment as the ground underfoot rose into a sharp incline. Geralt, and the others with mounts, tied up and settled their horses. The path up the mountain was treacherous enough without the constant worry of their animals breaking their legs.
Jaskier was mumbling about the long trek and Vayla smiled at him, giving him a gentle nudge.
“Quit your whining,” she teased, “Worst comes to worst, I’ll carry you.”
“Oh really? You’ll carry me?” Jaskier readjusted his lute strap, “I think we both know that will end terribly for everyone involved.”
Vayla giggled, glad to see the mischief dancing in his eyes.

Chapter 4 of ‘A Songbird’s Melody’ (Witcher/Skyrim crossover) is now up!
Read it here
“Ah good, so we do have the right spot. I was beginning to think those villagers had sent me in the wrong direction,” the man said cheerfully, “Hello Geralt. My name is Borch Three Jackdaws, and this is Téa and Véa. We’ve been looking for you, Witcher.”
Vayla looked to Jaskier and went to move but was quickly motioned by one of the warriors to stay put and she tensed.
“What happened?” Geralt asked, his eyes meeting Vayla’s, ignoring the man and his warriors.
She swallowed hard, “I had just... just finished bathing when... I heard them sneaking about... I... I panicked.”
Jaskier looked at her softly, a noise of sympathy rising in his throat. She wanted so badly to be by his side but was glued to her spot by the fierce gazes of the warriors.
“What do you want with me?” the Witcher rumbled, turning his glare on Borch.
The older man smiled gently.
“I need you Witcher, a strong warrior,” he said and flicked his eyes between Geralt and Vayla, “Looks like I found two.”

If you could send a message to yourself back on the first day of the year, what would it be? Number 23 from end of year asks!
HOO boy that’s a good one. Um, probably to subvert any and all expectations of the year ahead, but to jump on the good moments when they happen, because they will and those will be the moments you hold onto through all the shit

I was tagged by @jaskierswolf to post the most recent sentences I’ve written.
This comes from the novel I am writing and the characters have just reunited after about a month or so apart.
“It hasn’t been that long love,” Tisker bumped their foreheads together.
“Long enough.”
“Were you worried about me?”
“No,” the lie was clear in his face but Tisker didn’t bring him up on it, instead capturing his mouth again in a bruising kiss that left Hewlett breathless.
Hewlett’s skin prickled with heat and he brushes his thumbs back and forth across Tisker’s cheeks to ground himself. The fondness in Tisker’s expression made his heart ache and he let his eyes drop to study the embroidery on the collar of Tisker’s jerkin.
So this is definitely a passion project and I love these two very much. The plot is all laid out. I just have to write it O_o
I’m tagging the wonderful @dapandapod @littlemissordinary @chaotic-fae-queen @permanently-exhausted-witcher @dandelionslute and anyone else who wants to do this 😊
