heroes like her, like Guts, we root for them, we want to see them succeed despite knowing they’ll fail time and again, lose everything, and suffer

seeing what they go through hurts, we wish we could help them, and yet at the same time we wish we could be them, taking arms against a host of misfortunes and standing an even chance of coming out in one piece

but Aliceteria’s sense of justice is absolute, and learning that her world and everything in it was made that way on purpose could never do anything but personally offend her on the deepest level

“entertainment” she calls herself, and while that is, by the strictest definitions, true, it also fails to fully describe what she is to us
