Who has been the best influence on Lizzy in her life? Who is the worst?

No I tell you what, the whole Mikaelson Household as a military UNIT around this girl has been a very crucial influence on Lizzy's self esteem, her endurance, and her worldview. Moving as a collective entity much like the Addams family (snap snap), if one adult is daggered, the other one is f r e e. And a l l of them in one way or another has fed into raising this child to be so much stronger than she f e e l s in her darkest hour.

Aside from El Bastard Numero Uno, the headline figure for Better and Worse in Lizzy's life has been Rebekah. Lizzy's mom is strict, she tells her n o, and doesn't let her come with Elijah to watch scraps with Marcel in the Quarter. Boo. The wooden spoon is the reason Lizzy has A MODICUM OF SELF RESTRAINT. Not Klaus. The Spoon.

But Rebekah?

Lets not fucking forget she pioneered feminism before it was even CONCEIVED. Well behaved women seldom make history.

Lizzy has watched her talk back, snap necks, cash cheques, wear the pants, get advanced, do her dance, and fuck right the hell off on her own agenda for all of three minutes between the door and the dagger straight into the coffin. A nightmare of an influence on a little girl who was supposed to learn not to BITE. The girl who loved too hard. Lizzy learned to argue from her auntie.

Klaus is a problem for several reasons, but half of those are because if he sees fit, Lizzy's ego will absolutely go completely fucking unchecked. As long as the act is justified or entertaining, Lizzy could probably massacre a whole t o w n and Klaus would get on his sacrifice altar and tell people to fuck off and let her express her creativity. Which? Has since confused her because sometimes the same massacre is n o t okay when he's not in the mood for it.

If you want to talk about really- the b e s t influence, we're going to look at Stefan Salvatore, right there in tandem with Elijah.

He probably has one of the most m e a s u r e d and considerate approaches? To influencing Lizzy's lifestyle, and her frame of m i n d. I think he's been an absolute breathe of fresh air in the way he reaches out to her with a calm and gentle demeanor, and he makes the compassionate angle look inviting rather than exhausting. Lizzy could see herself be kind to people in the Stefan way without throwing UP, which is new, given that she used to be allergic to saying the word SORRY. Elijah is remarkably similar, he's such a graceful and immovable force, that can take the most frantic of storms and s o o t h e them, and command a r o o m. Or a Quarter. There's something of Elijah in Lizzy's stage presence.

More recently Katherine has managed to invite Lizzy into this world of more humble stances, taking great care to appreciate the little things in life that she never really got to touch on in a mansion run like a palace. Lizzy has absolutely adored discovering her Bulgarian roots, and that sort of human softness has really resonated with her.

Last but not LEAST but also least because it's Damon, DAMON.

Lizzy's exposure to Dad isn't nearly as full on as it is with Katherine and Stefan, and we don't actually DISCLOSE how much time she's quietly spent having a heart to heart with him, because it would RUIN THEIR IMAGE. But he's something of a grounding reality check.

While everyone else is very rigid and caught in their personal journey through life, Damon has this way of cutting through the curtains and smoke screens, and giving Lizzy an objective overview of w h a t the problem really looks like.

That's not to say he doesn't twist it!

Of course he does, he's got more opinions than a... thing with a lot of opinions.

But he's v e r y good at chopping up a confusing situation into smaller pieces, and laying them out on the table for Lizzy to r e a l l y have a good look at. And he really might be one of the very few who wants to see Lizzy take the steps h e r s e l f. Because what does it matter to him, which direction she chooses? It seems that as long as the result doesn't directly impact h i m, she's allowed to go her own w a y.

And more often than not he has a habit of saying the thing she was thinking, out l o u d. It's how she really trusts that she's h i s.

Lizzy's List Of Honorable Mentions:

Snoop Dogg, he told her once that in this industry you have to watch what you tell people, watch your words, don't say a damn thing publically when you're heated. Shut the fuck up and sit down and write it in a draft first before you set fire to your career. He pops into her head every time she wants to f i g h t.

Nero, her pet Scorpion, taught her that no matter how big and scary the animal looks, it will probably like treats. See: Klaus.

Nugget, of course has taught Lizzy about responsibility and unconditional love! You know, it doesn't matter how hard she's crying, he doesn't walk a w a y. The man's committed.

Jeremy Gilbert, is the first b o y she really got emotionally close to, and has taught her how she wants to handle the relationship landscape, because she hasn't been cornered, controlled, or restricted. Her little self assured personality really doubled when he took a shine to it.

Courtney Lawrence, the Patsy Stone to her Eddie Monsoon. If there was a drug, she fed it to her and said IT'S FINE SWEETIE IT'S ALL THE LATEST. If there was a party to sneak out to, she's driving the c a r. Her Yes-Woman.

Lizzy takes little things from every single person in her l i f e. There is nothing she is not willing to learn, and she's adapting and changing herself c o n s t a n t l y.

Jon is subtly trying to propose to Damian 😭 He’s literally trying to differentiate “friends” and “family” 😭 not to say that friends can’t be our family too, but let’s take into account that this type of “family” dynamic hasn’t been highlighted in the predecessor SuperWonderBat trio. It’s probably because Jon and Damian grew up together and also took a great part in raising Lizzie, but I’d like to think that Jon is exclusively referring to him and Damian’s relationship status, since he said “we’re not just sons anymore. we’re friends.” before proceeding to say that they’re family. Connecting (2) with (1), I’d say they’ll get married anytime soon.

I'm bouncing between a few things today. First, the Lutalia drabble/ficlet/who-knows-what I posted about yesterday

Natalia glances at Buck’s text, then types out a quick thanks before putting her phone on Do Not Disturb. She mentally chastises herself for forgetting to do so when she came back from lunch. It’s her general policy during work hours so nothing disturbs the energy when meeting with clients. She must have been in such a rush that she forgot. Fuck. Now she has to put Lucy, and whatever might have happened, out of her head before the Stover’s are due to arrive in the next ten minutes. Thankfully they’re finalizing details, and not creating a whole new plan, but that doesn’t lessen the importance. Overlooking a single detail can be the difference between a positive experience or a stressful one.

Ok, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but to anyone who is unhappy about Wanda’s arc in MoM:

*Spoilers ahead*

ETA: I don’t think 616 Wanda is dead, but I still have to cover all of my bases

As a longtime fan of the comics, I am more than familiar with the song and dance of Wanda oscillating between being a hero, an antihero, and a villain. Changing sides has been the story of her character since her origins as a member of the Brotherhood alongside Pietro and Magneto and continued on through the decades with her going crazy, turning evil, and/or dying probably once a decade ever since.

From the beginning, Lizzie has said that she wanted to see some of Wanda’s most iconic moments, ie. the “no more mutants” line from House of M. She WANTS to see House of M. She wants to touch on those infamous moments of villainy that are so well-known and loved. She wants to portray Wanda in a comic-accurate way (sans the sexualization) because she sees how unique Wanda is and how fun she is to play. From the very beginning Lizzie has done her best to champion Wanda being treated correctly as a complex, troubled young woman who has lost everything and been wronged by the world over and over. She has helped tremendously in crafting MCU Wanda as a well-rounded character who went from forgettable in the minds of many to absolutely adored thanks to Wandavision. I remember seeing Infinity War and Endgame in theaters and being one of the only ones cheering when she beat Thanos’s ass, meanwhile at my MoM screening 80% (or more) of people were wearing Wanda/Wandavision shirts and cheering when she came on screen.

Wandavision gave us Wanda processing her grief in all of the expected stages and with special attention to denial. When we last saw her, she had flown off with the Darkhold and was hearing Billy & Tommy calling for her during what we now know was likely dreamwalking/at least her peeking in on the other universes. Anyone familiar with the Darkhold will know its immense power and how it corrupts those who use it and Wanda is no different. Especially as, when we saw her, she was heavily grieving the loss of her brother, husband, and children all over again after the collapse of Westview. She was vulnerable and desperate, and seeing what Agatha could do with the Darkhold paired with her lack of knowledge and its promise to help drew her in. She was, once again, taken advantage of in a vulnerable moment. The only difference here was that it was the Darkhold and Cthon’s writings rather than another human being.

At least as of right now, I do not see her characterization and arc in MoM as a step back. I believe she is what she said she is: a mother who is beyond desperate to have her children back because she has NO ONE ELSE. None of the other Avengers have shown their faces to try and help her. Even Stephen only showed up when he needed help. Wanda was alone with a book filled with dark magic and abilities she was only just beginning to understand; how could anyone expect that to end well?

Wanda is my favorite MCU character and my favorite comic character. She always has been and always will be. I am so thrilled to have gotten to see so much more of her in the MCU between Wandavision and MoM, and yes it did hurt to see her in so much agony and I didn’t want her to succeed in getting America or her powers, but I also understand and appreciate why (I think) they continued her story the way they did. I am going to tell myself over and over that she isn’t actually dead because I can’t imagine her being gone from the MCU, but I also think that Feige knows full-well how loved she is and how integral she can/will be to continuing to thread the multiverse storyline together. Especially with the introduction of mutants.

So, uh, if you’ve read this far… thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. I’ll probably have more to say later once I’m no longer sleep deprived, but I hope this all makes sense for now.

Been thinking about winners.... Then I thought too hard... Here's my thoughts on.. all of them,,,,

• IF bdubs won next season: he has earned it. It would be great seeing as last season was a 3rd life throwback and sort of a redemption, if the next season was his most difficult we could go full heros journey with this bitch and the win would be incredibly satisfying.

9/10 didn't realize I wanted him to win but, I'm rooting for him now! Convinced me

• If bigB won next season: please let him win. I need him to win. He hasn't gotten a single ounce of attention from the fandom in any of his 4 amazing story arcs, and maybe just maybe they would care about him if he won. With new members joining he could have a fresh start (again), maybe with a win he could pull ahead all on his own, just like he started 2 years ago.

1000/10 I NEEED IT

• if Cleo won next season: hggfhhfjg. Hfhfhgfgg... Divorce quartet real... The animations... The fanart..... It would be so cool. I don't think Cleos character has much motivation to win atm, but if she was forced into a position where she needed to take the win it could be a very refreshing twist on the story.

7/10 we love to see a king winning

• if etho won next season: hey sorry ethogirls I don't know him well enough- all I know is that the fans would become crazy and I'd become an ethogirl. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk

• if gem won next season: okay, gem win would be awesome, yeah. Doesn't matter if everyone loves her, doesn't matter if everyone hates her, I just need her to be the main character, be confused, be crazy, die. It would hurt her character so deeply and would be genuinely amazing for her lore.

8/10 this would be sick

• if grian won next season: let's try that again baby! He might have won the first time with kindness, trust, loyalty and true friendship- but it can't be like that anymore can it. Everyone's left him, everyone's moved on, his life is falling apart, and for once he's barely stopping it. He's just trying to understand what's going on. He ends up in a similar situation to s1, and can't take it- he snaps, kills the other players, and wins once more, making everyone go crazy and the fandom die from shock immediately.

4/10 hmmmm

• if impulse won next season: HES BEEN SOOOOOO CLOSE FOR THE PAST 4 SEASONS. GIVE IT TO HIM PLEASE. only if he weasels his way in though, I love it when he's a lying little cheat and a freaky lil traitor. He needs everyone in his life to leave him or trust him completely and I will die on that hill.

7/10 hehehehe impman

• if Jimmy won next season: ughhhhhhh. Okay. So. Canary boy. He has never experienced pain before in his entire life. For those reasons 1. I'd love for him to win so he can finally understand the series he's in 2. I'd hate for him to win because nooo he broke the curse :((

• if Joel won next season: SBDBDJSKXBJDBXKSDBJDHSHAHDH THAT WOULD BE SO GOOOOOOOD WAIT WAIT WAIT I HADN'T EVEN CONSIDERED- so he's been alone the past 4 seasons, yeah. Even during double life with his loving husband, he knew he would end up alone again in the end, so it was all for nothing in his eyes. He gave his full trust and loyalty to his boys, something he's not used to, and if next season he's alone again- he can't take it. He goes about it smarter then last life, though- he keeps to himself, makes himself stronger the whole season, builds companionship with people (they're not used to him being so friendly), and wins with a last minute betrayal or simply being the last man standing. He would barely expect it, but it would heal his character so much, and also break him.

9/10 WOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!you better do this right asshole. Just kidding however he wins will be perfect

• if Lizzie won next season: similar to gem, but with more spite, and more guarenteed loneliness. It would be- really hard for her to take another season. All of her allyships would be strained, and I can totally see her joining or even commanding another big group, but she'd be alone in reality. A win for her would be cruel.

• if martyn won next season: illegal

• If mumbo won next season: I'd go crazy. Mumbos got so many satisfying ways to take his character, and the FANART and god lhbevfuebejrkje. Hes only been there once. He never learned how to play the game. If he won this time- hendndjdjbthekdndkelkebek 500/10 I need it

• if pearl won next season: as much as I would love for her to win again, 1. Too soon, she hasn't recovered from the first one please 2. The fandom would hate her for it 3. She already got what she needed from her first win. It'd be unnecessary for her character arc. It's very unlikely anyways, I'm sure if she got in that situation again, which might happen, she'd give it to whoever else is there.

• if Ren won next season: PLEASEEEEEE BE KIND TO HIMMMMMM honestly I think they would just give him the win. He's gonna get in a nice group, they're gonna have loyalty to him and he's gonna have loyalty to them, and wherever it goes he's gonna end up in the endgame again. Everyone there will understand that he deserves that win. If they don't martyn will kill em all into understanding lol. Maybe we could get a desert duo "you can kill me" moment but martyn refuses and kills himself. That would be so cool of him actually

HE DESERVES IT. AND HIS WIN WOULD BE AWESOME.

• if tango wins next season: okay while all of his seasons other then last life have been boring it could be fun. I mean okay, double life wasn't boring. And I can't say anything about 3rd life. Sure, jeez, he can win. Just need him to get mad and kill some guys first ^_^

One thing to notice in P&P is how Darcy started to fall for Lizzy. He is acquainted with 3 women only, as far as we know; Mrs Hurst, Miss Bingley and his own sister and being with them for a long time led him believe that he can predict women's reactions. For example, when Darcy tells Miss Bingley that Elizabeth's eyes have caught his attention, she immediately wished him joy on the prospects of marrying Elizabeth and Darcy was expecting this. He knew that she will not take a moment in ridiculing him for appreciating Elizabeth and will jump to scheming them being married. HE EXPECTED THIS FROM MISS BINGLEY AND SHE PROVED HIM RIGHT. She agrees with him on all ocassions and is desperate to win his attention because she likes him.

However Elizabeth doesn't wish to be the object of his affection, and therefore finds joy in ways, she thinks she can disappoint him. For example, on the third evening of her stay at Netherfield when Jane was ill, Elizabeth joined everybody in the drawing-room where Miss Bingley and Mrs Husrt were performing on the pianoforte. Dracy asked her if she felt to seize such opportunity of dancing a reel but she made no answer and when Darcy repeated the question she said she knew he wanted to hear 'yes' so she said she did not want to dance a reel at all.

Similarly when she was asked to take a turn around the room with Miss Bingley and Darcy refused to elaborate what he meant when he said he would like not to interfere with their two motives of walking; she did not press him to explain. She even asked Miss Bingley to disappoint him by not asking about it.

Instead of agreeing or adding to what Darcy believes, she leads the conversation based on her beliefs and opinions.

So, the Darcy who's always certain of a lady's reaction in certain situations is caught off guard when he meets Elizabeth who is not always agreeing with him and doesn't respond in the manner, he expected. I think he started liking her more when he found his misconceptions being proved wrong.

Of everything Beatrice expected when she entered the café, the last thing was what Evelyn just said. In fact, she was still staring at her friend with her mouth agape, in pure raw shock, “What??”

Evelyn didn’t look less worried, “I know.”

“What??”

“I know,I know.” she whispers, “I know, I wanted to talk to you before…before Rooster knew.”

Beatrice frowned, “I’m…confused, why did—okay,hold on, back up.” she rubs her eyes, “This…guy, he said he’s Rooster’s uncle?”

Evelyn nodded solemnly, her expression grave. "Yes, that's what he claimed," she confirmed, her voice hushed. " He said his name was John, and he claimed to be Rooster's uncle."

Beatrice's mind reeled at Evelyn's words, her thoughts swirling with confusion and disbelief. "But that doesn't make any sense," she exclaimed, her voice tinged with frustration. "Rooster's family is small, and he's never mentioned an uncle named John before."

"I know," Evelyn replied, her brow furrowing with concern. "That's why I wanted to talk to you before saying anything to Rooster. I didn't want to cause unnecessary drama if it turned out to be a misunderstanding."

"Did he say why he was looking for Rooster?"

Evelyn's expression darkened at the memory. "He claimed to have some urgent family matter to discuss with him," she explained, her voice tinged with skepticism. "But something about his demeanor seemed off. He was...pushy, almost aggressive."

“...Rooster’s dad was an only child.” Bea mutters, “And…Carole’s siblings were named…uhhh…Rachel and Ted? Maybe? Who the hell is this John? And he contacted your dad? How the hell did he manage to contact a vice-admiral???”

"I don't know," Evelyn admitted, her voice tinged with worry. "But my dad seemed concerned when he received the call. He said he would look into it and get back to me."

Beatrice nodded, her mind racing with questions and concerns. "I…don't like this," she murmured, her voice filled with apprehension. "It feels...so off."

"I agree," she said softly, her gaze filled with sympathy. "But we'll figure it out together, okay? We won't let anything happen to Rooster."

“Nothing will happen to Rooster.” Beatrice narrowed her eyes, “...what did he look like? Did he even look like…Rooster?”

Evelyn paused, her brow furrowing in concentration as she recalled the encounter. "He...kind of resembled Rooster, I guess," she replied slowly, "But there was something...off about him. He had the same build and facial features, but his eyes...they were different. "

Beatrice's heart sank at Evelyn's description, "That's unsettling," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. "I don't like the sound of this at all."

"I know," Evelyn agreed, her expression grim. "That's why I wanted to tell you right away. I didn't want to keep it from you, especially since Rooster’s promotion is coming up and all…”

"Thank you for telling me," she said softly, her voice filled with gratitude. "I appreciate it more than you know."

Evelyn reached out, squeezing Beatrice's hand "Of course, Bea," she replied, her voice gentle. "So…what do you want to do?”

Beatrice sighed, her mind racing with worry. She knew she couldn't ignore the situation, but she also didn't want to jump to conclusions without knowing all the facts. "We need to find out who this John really is," Beatrice said firmly, "And we need to do it discreetly. I don't want to alarm Rooster unnecessarily until we have all the information."

Evelyn nodded in agreement, her eyes shining with determination. "I'll talk to my dad and see if he can look into it further," she offered, her voice filled with resolve. "He has connections that could help us get to the bottom of this."

"Thank you, Ev," Beatrice replied gratefully, squeezing Evelyn's hand in appreciation. "Let me know as soon as you find out anything."

"Will do," Evelyn promised, giving Beatrice a reassuring smile. "And in the meantime, we'll keep an eye out for anything suspicious."

"I'm going to check on Rooster," Beatrice said, "I need to make sure he's okay. He’s at home with the kids and Mav but–"

Evelyn nodded in understanding, her expression filled with empathy. "I'll let you know if I hear anything from my dad," she promised, her voice gentle. "And Bea? Don't worry too much. We'll get to the bottom of this."

"Thanks, Ev," Beatrice replied softly, offering her friend a grateful smile. "I appreciate you being here for me."

With a final hug, Beatrice and Evelyn parted ways, and Beatrice didn’t know what to do…she had to figure this out in…three days. Which wasn't a lot of time at all but that was the time until Rooster’s promotion ceremony.

She walks to her jeep and groans, hitting her forehead gently against the door in frustration, “We get no breaks, no breaks at all.” it was like the universe wanted to see how far they’d go for each other.

She’d go beyond for Rooster and their family but they really needed a break.

As Beatrice drove home she couldn't shake the feeling of unease that settled in the pit of her stomach, gnawing at her with each passing moment. Despite her efforts to remain calm, the situation with this mysterious John weighed heavily on her mind.

When she finally arrived home, Beatrice found Rooster in the living room, surrounded by their children and Mav. He was engaged in an animated conversation with Mav and Beatrice's heart swelled with warmth at the sight of her husband and their family together.

"Hey, gorgeous," Rooster greeted her with a bright smile as she entered the room, his eyes lighting up with affection. "How was the meeting with Ev, everything okay?"

Beatrice forced a smile, doing her best to push aside her worries for the time being. "It was…fine," she replied vaguely, her voice tinged with uncertainty. "How about you? How was …uh…here?"

Rooster's smile faltered slightly at the change in Beatrice's demeanor, his brow furrowing with concern. "It was good," he replied cautiously, his gaze searching hers for any sign of what was bothering her. "Did something happen?"

Beatrice hesitated for a moment, unsure of how much she should reveal to Rooster. She didn't want to worry him unnecessarily, but she also knew that keeping secrets from him wasn't the right approach either.

"Actually, there's something I need to talk to you about," she began slowly, her voice trembling slightly. "But maybe we should wait until the kids are in bed for naptime…?"

Rooster's expression softened and he nodded in agreement. "Sure, whatever you need, gorgeous," he said gently, reaching out to squeeze her hand in reassurance. "We can talk after we put the kids to bed."

“Mav–Mav should stay…too.” she whispers, “It’s important that he stays.”

Beatrice's request caught Rooster by surprise, but he nodded in agreement nonetheless, "Of course," he replied, his voice steady despite the uncertainty gnawing at him. "Mav can stay. Whatever you need, Bea."

Mav, who had been listening quietly, nodded. "I'll be here," he affirmed, his tone serious. "Whatever it is, I can help kiddo"

With the decision made, Beatrice focused on putting the kids down for their nap, her mind already racing with thoughts of how to approach the situation with Rooster and Mav. She couldn't shake the feeling of unease that lingered in the air.

Once the children were settled, Beatrice, Rooster, and Mav gathered in the living room,and Beatrice took a deep breath, steeling herself for the conversation ahead. "Okay," she began slowly, her voice steady despite the turmoil raging inside her. "I need to tell you both about something that happened today."

Rooster and Mav exchanged a glance, their expressions mirroring Beatrice's seriousness. "What is it, Bea?" Rooster asked gently, “You…look so worried,gorgeous.”

Beatrice swallowed hard, her throat feeling dry as she struggled to find the right words to convey the gravity of the situation. "W-Well, Ev told me that um…Ev told me that there's a man named John who's been asking about you" Beatrice finally managed to say, her voice trembling with apprehension. "He's been asking questions about you, Roos.”

Rooster's brows furrowed in concern as he absorbed Beatrice's words."Who?

“You don’t know any Johns?”

Rooster blinked, then scratched the back of his head, “I mean…” he frowns, “No? I had friends named Johns, but I don’t have any relatives named Johns.” he turns to Mav, “Is he a relative of dad? You’d know.”

Mav furrowed his brow, his expression thoughtful as he racked his brain for any information about a potential relative named John. After a moment of deep contemplation, he shook his head slowly. "No, Roos. I don't recall anyone by that name in his family," he replied, his tone serious. "But I can look into it if you want."

Rooster nodded, a troubled furrow marring his brow. "Yeah, please do," he said firmly, his voice tinged with concern. "I want to know who this guy is and why he's asking about me."

“He managed to talk to Evelyn’s dad.”

“He talked to Cyclone?” Mav asked, “How?”

She shrugs, “I dunno, I don’t know…how it’s possible??”

"If he's managed to speak to Cyclone, then he must have some connections."

Rooster's jaw clenched with frustration, "I don't like this," he admitted, his voice tight with tension. "I don't want some random guy asking questions about me and my family."

Mav rose from his seat, his expression grim. "I'll start looking into this John guy right away," he said firmly, his voice decisive. "If he's connected to Cyclone, we need to tread carefully." he pauses, “...what does this John looks like?”

The brunette blinked, “According to Ev he did look like Roos a bit…but not 100%...is it possible that Goose had anyone he hadn’t told you?” she asks the captain, “Or…well…I don’t know?”

Mav's expression grew even more serious at Beatrice's question. He furrowed his brows in deep thought, opened his mouth, then closed, then opened it again. "It's possible," he mused, "But Goose would never hide anything from me. Maybe he’s related to Carole?”

Rooster,maybe a mix of his own protectiveness and uncertainty, immediately brought Beatrice to sit on his lap so he could hug her, “...my mom only has two siblings.” he says, “I haven’t talked to them in years and my uncle’s name isn’t John.”

Beatrice sank into Rooster's embrace, feeling a rush of comfort wash over her as she nestled against him. She traced soothing circles on his back,"I don't like this, Roos," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. "What if this John guy is dangerous?"

Rooster's arms tightened around Beatrice, "Hey, hey, don't worry, gorgeous," he said softly, his voice laced with determination. "We'll figure this out together. And if this guy poses a threat, I'll make sure he doesn't come anywhere near you or the kids."

“...I’ll call Cyclone.” Mav said, “Figure more stuff but, don’t worry, the two of you, you’ll have to worry about the promotion ceremony not this.”

The tension in the room eased slightly at Mav's words, and Beatrice offered him a grateful smile. "Thank you, Mav," she said softly, her voice filled with appreciation. "We really appreciate your help."

Mav nodded, a determined glint in his eyes. "Of course, Bea," he replied, his tone serious. "I'll do whatever it takes to keep you and the kids safe. Now…is there anything else that Evelyn said besides that?”

Beatrice took a deep breath, her mind racing as she tried to recall everything Evelyn had told her about the encounter with John. "Um, well," she began slowly, "Ev said that John seemed...persistent. He kept asking questions about Rooster, even when she tried to brush him off."

Rooster's jaw tightened at, his protective instincts kicking into overdrive. "That's not good.”

Mav nodded in agreement, his expression grave. "Agreed," he said firmly, hands on his hips "I'll make some calls and see what I can find out about him. In the meantime, you two relax. I’m sure this can be easily resolved.”

"Okay," she replied softly, “Thank you Mav.”

With a nod of acknowledgment, Mav turned to leave the room, his footsteps echoing softly against the hardwood floor as he made his way to have some privacy on the phone call.

Once Mav was out of sight, Beatrice let out a heavy sigh, the weight of the situation settling heavily upon her shoulders. She turned to Rooster, her eyes searching his face for any sign of reassurance.

Rooster met her gaze with a soft expression, his arms still wrapped protectively around her. "You okay?”

“Hrrmmmm…” she groans, “When are we going to have a break from this,Roos?”

Rooster brushed a gentle hand over Beatrice's hair, a tender smile gracing his lips. "I wish I could give you a break from all of this, gorgeous," he murmured, "But you know as well as I do that life doesn't always give us breaks when we need them most."

Beatrice nodded, leaning into Rooster's touch for comfort. "I know," she sighed, "It just feels like one thing after another lately, you know?"

Rooster's heart ached at the weariness in Beatrice's voice. He tightened his embrace around her, offering her the warmth and support she needed in that moment. "I know, baby," he whispered, his voice gentle. "I know.”

lil mythborne hcs because ive fallen in love with them again (maybe spoilers so yeah)

(theyre absolutely roommates btw for less confusion) ryan and aster have woken up several times in the middle of the night to see connor watching "incorrect history" by ted

these three act so close many think theyre all in a relationship with each other (and one of my headcanons says yes cause i got a ton of alt hcs)

asters sapphic awakening was the gardeners in the gardening club, ryans gay awakening was asters dad (not romantic fucking ew like he just realized men were pretty then), and connors ace realization hit while researching about the frat

they can all be pan, poly, and ace spectrum if i try hard enough (and i do)

professor aeliana was quite a comfort to connor after his brothers passing, as when connor's grades were dropping due to lack of motivation and using most his energy to not break down or "do something irrational" as hed put it, he offered help with work and recommended him a therapist (who helped him a lot), plus even offered him a place to talk if he really needed it

biwi is a registered therapy rat

aster offers tutoring as shes very good with work and commonly has lots of free time (she uses some of it to talk with biwi)

you know how the mana goddess of the sun just happens to be named aster? hear me out...

despite what some think, ryans actually pretty smart as its necessary to have good grades in school to participate in sports

i cant get the idea out of my head that romeo tried to cast aster ryan and connor as riptide characters for a play he wanted to try, but ended up not having enough actors for (ryan would be gill, aster would be jay plus characters like lizzie, amanda rinn, and niklaus hendrix because shes turned out to have a good voice for them, and connor would be chip, with biwi as pretzel)

ryan likes giving presents and eventually got better at matching items to people (connor has a friendship bracelet, a moon shaped pencil sharpener, a journal for art which unknown to ryan has a picture of them together on the cover, etc.)(aster has a fucking random bobble head, a sunflower pencil sharpener, a small locket, etc)

all of them can draw and get art tips while doing it, so you can see some similarities in their styles despite them being different (aster learned because she wanted to draw out where flowers would go and eventually drew flower people and flowers as people, connor used it as a way to vent out and study better, ryan did it for the sillies and saw how much fun aster and connor had so he started back in middle school and shit)

not a hc but i cant stop thinking about mermaid aster rn

these guys are seen as "oh they could never do harm" but biwi knows the horrors of being in a room with them after mario party (everyone has had a breakdown at least 3 times from it)

once connor had an insomnia induced theory about a mythical land called "texas" and did a 3 hour presentation on its possible existance, ending at 3, for ryan and aster and the next day he forgot about it and never brought it up again and they think about it sometimes
