submission re: EB & more anon reviews below

I thought maybe I can give my review of endings, beginnings that nobody asked for because well I'm seeing so many biased reviews on twitter of ppl who already decided they hated it before watching it.

Starting off, I would like to say that I expected it to be much more worse than it actually is based on all the exaggerated reactions to the clips and some of the shitty reviews.

Style - I have personally always liked drake's style. Dialogue playing over their body language enforces the idea that what they say is something and what they want to do is something else specially in the bar scene between Frank and daphne. I loved the colour palette used, although it's a bit too dark at times and I ended up watching my own reflection at the screen lmfao. I don't mind jump cuts but the jump cuts at the very beginning were too much.

Dialogue - I'm not a fan of completely improvised dialogues. I prefer a script to be pinned down and the actors are given the freedom to add or take from it. The dialogue is lacking for a movie! But if we compare it to real life it's very realistic and I assume this is what drake was aiming at yet this made the film lose its cinema charm.

Actors - I feel like everyone did absolutely great with what they were given. The process shailene described seems like hell for an actor, going into the scene and saying whatever and expecting the other to say whatever and you have to respond on the spot. Frank and Jack's characters were one dimensional because I assumed they are seen through daphne's eyes and she is not interested in them beyond what they can give her (one gives her security while the other gives her passion). Daphne's character is annoying yet you can clearly tell that was the purpose. She's messy, she makes dumb decisions, she craves to be wanted yet claims she wants to stay away from men, her self righteousness when she saw Frank doing coke shows utter contradictions with her own messiness. I felt like there are a lot of ppl who can resonate with her...she's not your typical heroin. Regarding frank, I felt like he was initially even more one dimensional than what was seen on the screen, but sebastian gave him more character. The last dialogue in the diner felt very real and it made me sad. His chemistry with daphne is one of the things I found to be very real too, when he stared at her during that game It felt so intimate that I wanted to look away and give them some privacy (a choice bart didn't have)

Sex scenes - fans have really exaggerated the sex scenes in the movie because in all honesty for a romantic drama 4 sex scenes is not much and they are not long either or too raunchy. You can tell frank and daphne are very attracted to each other which made the intimacy in the scenes super real and had the viewer squirm in their seat feeling weird for watching it. I'm used to sex scenes being very theatrical in American cinema and that often makes them lose the intimacy required for the scene to be considered "hot" much like fifty shades with it's cold approach to sex and nudity.

Ending - I liked how none of the men tried to chase her to the ends of the world, its realistic and if this was real life all of us would be saying they can do better. Drake didn't exaggerate the love stories and he kind of deployed these relationships as self exploration rather than love. What I hated is how she magically went through character development as she got pregnant (this is such a Male perspective that it made me annoyed) I get how he's trying to promote self love but it just didn't resonate with me because it was associated with pregnancy (yet another person to love and be loved by) her journey towards self love should have started solo and I found it incredibly unrealistic for her to not want to know who the father is and even more unrealistic that none of them demanded to know. No one can live their lives knowing their kid must be out there, even if they don't want kids. And it was so ooc of Jack to say "oh that's great" when she told him she's pregnant and he thought it's his because he clearly stated so many times he doesn't want kids.

Overall I liked the movie, its chill, its decent, and it's not cringey it just has a narrow view of what its trying to prove. It's not a movie you can't take your eyes off of when watching but it's one you are interested to know what happens at the end. Many seb fans expect too much after itonya that they are now criticising sebastian's filmography as if opportunities like itonya happen every day and are just waiting for him to hop on. It's much more complicated than that. Endingsbeginnings is a decent movie, we're just looking too much into it because seb is in it.

anon1: I j watched eb and I still have no idea what happened to frank where did he go - ghosted, bb. went and had more wild adventures and totally ignored Daphne trying to get in touch.

anon2: I remember fans saying there's a sex scene that lasts 20 min in the movie and clearly there was not, which is one example of people exaggerating the hell out of everything about this movie including how bad it is. Shailene mentioned that they shot a 20 minutes long TAKE of the floor sex scene and drake ended up choosing the bits he wanted - yeah I’ve seen a few reviews from other people on tumblr and the reviews Drake is posting in his stories and nobody has any goddamn chill. it’s either the most heartbreaking movie they’ve ever seen (??????) and dug deep into their psyche and replaced the need for a therapist for the next ten years OR it literally came into their home and called their mom a wh*re and stole their cat and peed on their favourite pair of jeans. LIKE?

anon3: So, I still can’t figure out why Seb, Sha, and Jamie were like, kissing the ground Drake walks on because of how great a director he is. While I didn’t thing E,B was awful, nothing about the style or direction of this film makes me want to see any other of his work? I didn’t think it was that profound and found that his writing (especially Daphne’s character) wasn’t that great 🤷🏻‍♀️ maybe I’m just uncultured lmao - I feel like Drake had a big hit with Like Crazy and has been riding that reputation into the sunset

anon4: Watched the movie. Frank is a pathetic guy with no morals and a very low self-esteem. Shailene acting is painful to watch. The plot is prosaic and inane, the characters are unconvincing and the dialogues are dull.

anon5: I agree that the film didnt have a lot to say. Also i didnt hate Daphne like i thought i would and definitely related to her struggles & sadness. But really, apart from Seb the movie didnt make me feel anything much like you. Which is okay i guess if you're into that sorta thing. Also, did anybody else get the feeling she only really wanted Frank but was with Jack cos she didnt wanna be alone? - yeah for sure

anon6: I am somewhat confused about the film's premise. Was Daphne always so messy and the assault was just a catalyst for her or is she simply dealing with the trauma of being assaulted? The film does suggest the former with the mommy&Daphne cuts, but i am not entirely sold on that. And i fail to see how being *thatbigtwist* helps with her self-loathing? Whats happening there? - I agree with you that it seems like the former... but maybe with the assault kinda kicking off the latest round of messiness and exacerbating certain negative habits in she was dealing with people? Andddd idk... magical healing pregnancy trope?

(me again) i went and read the chapter with the market scene and you're right they did changed it quite a bit, also agree WHERE IS THE GILBERT AND HODGINS BROPT IN THIS EP...ahem, and if you dont mind i'm gonna ask: what were your thoughts on gil and violets relationship this ep?

Yeah, I mean, Violet and Lux are great but the best BroTP of this series is Gil and Hodgins, hands down. Also gotta take this opportunity to say that anime!Hodgins just keeps straying farther from his novel counterpart. “As always, you don’t understand women” my ass. He’s a gentleman in canon. And his sexuality has yet to make itself known in the anime too. It feels like KyoAni is trying hard to make him straight. If we don’t at least get to see the scene of him seducing John, I’m calling bullshit.

Okay, on to my impressions on anime!Gilbert and anime!Violet… it’s a lot to talk about, which is why it took me so long to reply. I’m just… so mad that I’ve become numb, lol. I gotta go reread chapter 6 to cleanse my soul.

Maybe I should start with Violet. The amount of emotion she’s showing is ridiculously disproportional, as always. Her assertions that Gil is definitely fine and that everyone is lying to her are too irrational and going all the way to Dietfriet to ask about Gil was plain weird. I also don’t like how her child self acted as if she had to be “tamed” by Gil, like he had to earn her trust. He was afraid of her at first in canon, while she was the one who chose him as her master.

Speaking of emotion, I felt next to nothing while watching this episode. The whole thing seems to be as lacking as the previous ones, even though it should have been the most emotionally compelling part of the story. Everything is badly explained and everyone just goes along with the flow like they’re string dolls. It’s forced and feels unnatural. For example, Violet’s first meeting with Gil. His brother literally comes to him with a skinny, ravaged-looking child that he was keeping in a potato sack and goes “I’m giving this weapon to you” without any further explanation on where he found her and what exactly she is, and all Gil says is “I understand; I will take her in”. Like????? What the fuck???????

The world-building is also in need of more detail. A lot of things seem out of place. For instance, the navy and the army don’t seem to be hostile towards one another in the anime, and there was no mention of Dietfriet having cut his ties with everyone in the family save for Gil.

I’m also shaken by the fact it seems Gil is hiding from everyone in the anime, including his family. If so, then that’s a major plot hole. I mean, how would he have convinced everyone at work to simply lie to his relatives that he had died? It’s a literal crime. And if he didn’t do that, the only thing I can think of is that he made his entire family lie that he was dead, and even went as far as requesting a fake grave. Either way is heartless as shit. The first one would probably be the worst of all, because imagine him coming back home after Violet finds out that he was actually alive like “LMAO JUST KIDDING”. I would also like to stress that, if the second option is true, that would make Hodgins and Dietfriet pretty OOC. Hodgins because he should be sadder if he really thinks his one and only best friend died in war, and Dietfriet because, if he thought that Gilbert was dead, he would have done anything in his power to kill Violet for failing to protect him (though Dietfriet is already OOC for not being as much of a softie with Gil as he is in canon). But of course, there’s always the third option of KyoAni deciding to say “fuck it all” and killing off Gilbert. At this point, I’d rather have them do that.

Anime!Gil is just too awful, lol. In the novel, he finds himself at several dead-ends as to leaving Violet to someone else’s care, but none of them are being presented in the anime. He’s cold as hell too. He arrives home with Violet like “yeah, you just give her a bath or something and don’t tell anyone about her” as if it’s none of his business. Also, anime!Gil had never seen Violet fighting, so I have no idea how she ended up killing those guys in the training barracks. He could have just said that his brother had made a mistake or something, because any sane person would at least be asking “what are you on” when being told that a thin little girl is a weapon without any further detail.

No idea why Gil didn’t just leave Violet in an orphanage if he didn’t know of her abilities. Plus, felt like he didn’t want to send her to war not because she was a literal child, but because she wouldn’t be useful enough since she’s “too unstable”. He disobeys orders from his superiors to back his claim, which is as odd as Violet disobeying orders from him (unless he’s dying). But even weirder than that was Gil teaching Violet how to read and write. I mean, if he went as far as giving her an education, she was basically ready to live somewhere else like a normal kid. He could have ordered her to forge her own death and sent her to Tiffany and Patrick. So yeah, another plot hole.

About the aforementioned market scene, I’m so full of salt, lmfao. I hated so much that Gil said he was grateful for Violet’s deeds until he realized how fucked-up that is and stopped talking. Just what in all the nine hells? He was basically making a child risk her life and get a shitton of injuries not for the country, but for himself, since he was the only person she fought for. Anime!Gilbert is a complete imbecile, and his charm of “stoic on the outside, actually melted butter on the inside” and “young dad doing his best to raise his adopted daughter and failing marvelously” have pretty much disappeared.

What also disappeared were Violet’s war merits. She’s not as awesome as in the novel, so obviously her nicknames (“Warrior Maiden”, “Leidenschaftlich’s Witch”, etc) are unwarranted, and Gilbert is the one who fires the signal flare of victory instea of her. It doesn’t seem like she has as big of a role either, and we also don’t see how any of her fellow soldiers treat her aside from Gil and Hodgins. There’s no scene whatsoever displaying how Gil was the only person who treated Violet for what she was, a child, while others would either harass her verbally, try to molest/spy on her or not want to get involved with her at all.

We can’t forget how everyone’s fear became true: no Witchcraft. KyoAni wrote it off. I just wanna know why. Just give me a reason, Ishidate. I need an explanation for that one.

Aaaand… this has been a small glimpse of my bottomless disgust for this adaptation. Anyone who wants to e-mail Kyoto Animation requesting a remake has my full support.

major: plant biology

sports: soccer team

clubs: photography club, earth coalition, did debate team for a while but only because he liked getting into arguments with doyoung in front of people LOL

is really popular, fun, and relaxed,,,,,,you can see him taking a stroll from the library to the lab looking absent mindedly at the trees or at the sky

but don’t underestimate him,,,,,because he’s actually really smart and organized

a lot of the research he does in his courses is praised by his teachers even though he’ll play it off and be like “ah~ i got it right? what luck!”

but in front of other students he’s like hell yeah im the prince of the plant biology major ~~

likes nature so decided he may as well make a career out of it, also taeil told him once that he looked good in white so getting to wear the lab coat kinda makes him giddy

but he frequently likes to hike and go to forests,,,even on days when it isn’t required for his major

flirts naturally with everyone, from the TA in class, to the people in his group, to people in completely different majors, once came in to check up on an experiment his group was doing on some eucalyptus plants and i shit u not he touched a leaf and was like “ahhhh, you look pretty today~” to the freaking plant

tried to tutor for plant ecology but yuta has this thing where he can plan everything perfectly in his head but when he gets to actually trying to explain anything he’s like ah,,,well,,,you see,,,,one plant,,,and other plant,,,,become friends??? wait no,,,,,biologically plants cant make friends,,,,,,they,,,,,,interact? first date? yEARS of EVOLUtiON haVE CREATed This pLANT,,,,,,,,,,,,does that not make sense

but hey,,,he tried his best

doyoung calls him “narcissist nakamoto” anytime they see each other on campus dfldskdg

but honestly,,,he’s not wrong,,,,,because every soccer game the uni has yuta somehow ends up flashing that handsome smile of his and ending up on the front page of the uni’s sports website, the uni journal, hell even the other teams school has photos of yuta because he’s undeniably attractive

esp in a soccer uniform with his hair pulled back, pretty sweat down his strong jawline, and his eyes that can go literally from ^__^ to the most sERIOUS expression

comes of cool~ and suave~ and like suuuuuch a smooth talker

but all of his friends just sneer when people gush about yuta because they’re all like “this is the dork who calls his mom at like midnight and says he misses her and cries” and also apparently enjoys kidlike things like amusement parks and kamen rider

“isn’t yuta soooo manly and dreamy~?”

but it’s cute,,,,yuta is all flower boy charm in his pressed lab coat and brilliant big smile and always trying to show off that he’s a gentlemen

but also squishing winwin’s cheeks during lunch because wahhh so cute and getting all happy over the new pokemon release like,,,,,how soft

his dorm is slightly disheveled but it proves that he works hard with stacks of books and highlighters alongside the many trophies and medals he’s won for the school

(and ofc,,,,,his kamen rider figurines lmfao)

but yep it’s summer!!! which means a lot of kids have left the campus but some classes are still going on

you happen to not be taking any,,,,but you get a job at the local fair that’s going to run all summer a couple blocks away from the uni so you decide it’d be better to just stay in the dorm and well,,,,,make that Money

yuta,,,,,,,is also staying but that’s because one of his group studies is being conducted by a teacher who won’t be back in the fall

and tbh you only know yuta vaguely,,,,you’re friends with jaehyun who has talked about him and you’ve seen him in the school news

but,,,,,you’ve also “heard” rumors about him,,,,,how apparently he likes to flirt as much as possible and isn’t really interested in anything serious

someone once said something about how he accepted ten confessions in a day but then broke up with the girls through text

and you don’t???? know him???? but those rumors feel weird and full of jealousy

but at the same time like what is it your business anyway not like you and yuta have ever interacted

until,,,,,,that changes

see your job at the fair is pretty simple,,,,you sell tickets to the ferris wheel and tell people which cabins to sit in

the ferris wheel is pretty tiny considering this isn’t a permanent fair,,,,and the rides like 5 minutes tops,,,,,but it gets fairly popular

esp at night when all the couples walk by sharing ice-creams and cuddling up close when they buy tickets

and secretly you’re like blEGh,,,but at the same time cant lose this job so u just smile and sell tickets

and??? that’s when you notice that almost every night

yuta comes by

and you know it’s him from the face but also,,,you’ve heard him speaking japanese on the phone when buying tickets,,,,,and you don’t think anything of it

but he keeps only,,,buying,,,,one ticket,,,,,every night

and idk you don’t want to say anything because maybe,,,,this is his stress relief from summer classes????? but at the same time everyones saying this popular boy who could have anyone he wants on campus is spending his nights. alone. on the ferris wheel

somehow, without either of you saying much to each other you memorize the time he comes by and save a ticket just in case

like two weeks into this whole ordeal you dont even ask him to pay you just hand him the ticket and yuta gives you a look but you’re just like,,,,,go

because honestly you start thinking up ridiculous scenarios like,,,maybe he cries in there???? maybe the ride reminds him of a lost loved one??? maybe,,,,,,,,he uses it as a place to scream out all his frustration

and the tickets are way 2 overpriced anyway college kids need to help each other out

but ,,,, the night before the third week of summer classes starts yuta finally says something to you

and when he does you almost fall down,,,,because????? but as you slide the ticket over he goes “this place closes in half an hour, right?”

you nod

and he’s like “ill be by the entrance. let me treat you to dinner.”

at first you think you’ve heard wrong - maybe that he needs to treat someone to dinner

but when you meet his gaze, yuta smiles and is like “i promise to be there.” before walking off like it’s the moST Casual thing to ask a STRANGER to dinner

it shocks you so much that you barely manage to stutter out a “ok” when he’s literally gone

as,,,,he promised yuta is standing at the entrance as you come out still wearing your uniform t-shirt with the fairs name sprawled across the front

and yuta motions to it and is like “cute” and you’re like um,,,,,,what is happening

and he smiles again,,,so bright even though it’s nearing ten pm and he’s like “i know you,,,,,not from the fair but from college. you go to the same one as me.”

you nod slowly but you’re still obviously confused

which only makes yuta chuckle, throwing his head back a bit when he does but he’s like “don’t worry, im not being creepy or whatever. it’s just,,,,,i know you’ve been giving me the tickets for free for a while so i thought i should do something nice back.”

the sentiment calms you down a bit,,,even though you try to say it’s fine you don’t need to be treated but yuta just throws his hand around you

pulling you by the shoulder closer and he’s like “nah,,,,we college students need to jump at any chance we get not to waste money - so c’mon!”

and that’s how you end up at a small stall at the night market,,,,yuta piling food onto the tiny plastic table as you watch him balance drinks in his other hand

for a moment you think back to those photos you’d seen of him on the school website. the star shining athlete of the soccer team

yet here he was,,,,looking something close to a fool,,,,,but in the most endearing way

you don’t expect to talk with him for a longtime,,,,but you do.

yuta has a way of making people feel comfortable,,,,he’s obviously sociable and sweet and it’s hard not to like someone who gives compliments and actually seems interested in you

especially since the summer semester has left you pretty lonely on campus,,,,

but when you check your watch you’re shocked to see it’s nearing 1am and you have a shift tomorrow at the fair

so hurriedly you and yuta clean up and practically sprint back to the dorms,,,,yuta making a joke about how he hasn’t run this much since soccer practice ended

but as you stop in front of your dorm yuta says your name,,,,,smiling and adding that he’ll see you tomorrow before heading off into the other direction

and it’s not till your brushing your teeth,,,,,looking in the mirror that you realize,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,that you just hung out with nakamoto yuta

the next night yuta shows up as usual,,,,this time he slips something toward you in exchange for the ticket,,,,,,a ice-cream bar from the grocery

he says that it must suck to not be able to leave and take snacks and you look at the ice cream and go “how did you know my fav-”

and he grins and is like “ah, did you forget, you told me yesterday~ i personally like their green tea flavor more but,,,,”

and with that he waves,,,,going toward the ride and you sit there,,,,looking at the ice cream

and before you know it,,,there’s a small smile on your face

yuta is even waiting for you at the entrance again so you guys can walk back to campus together

this,,,happens for a bit,,,,,and then there’s a day when you have off and you pass yuta on campus only to have him call out to you and pout because you’re not at work~ he won’t see you later??

and you’re like nope i have the day off, you’ll actually have to pay for your ticket tonight

he makes a face that makes you burst into giggles and he’s like ill have to call my sister for more money at this point,,,,,,,or oh,,,,,should i try and get doyoung to use his card,,,,

you shake your head because what street fair accepts cards???? and he’s like rats ur right,,,,,,

but it’s cute seeing him like this,,,,, in the daylight,,,,,eyes sparkling and pretty,,,,,,,

bUT you shake that thought off as soon as you see a group of underclassman walking by and calling out to yuta,,,,,saying something about how he still owes them all lunch or something

and the rumors you’d tried to forget come back to you,,,,,,,because hey he probably isn’t treating you any differently than how he treats others

catching feelings for him???? Big No No

but yuta turns back and says he’ll see you tomorrow then and there’s a hint of happiness in his tone,,,,,but again you’re sure you’re imagining it

so why is it that the next evening,,,,your stomach is full of butterflies,,,,,,you’re practically straining your neck to see if yuta is coming,,,,,,

the moment you see the familiar silhouette you start adjusting your hair and shirt,,,,,,,,god it makes you feel embarrassed but also,,,,,when his face appears in the window,,,,,smiling and happy

it makes your heartbeat surge and you mentally have to keep yourself in check as yuta tells you about something doyoung texted him this afternoon

tbh as you hand him the single ticket,,,,,you get the sudden urge to ask ‘why don’t you ever take someone with you on the ride? like on a date?’

but you know you shouldn’t say something like that

but when you feel his hand brush against yours,,,,,you just,,,,,,you burst

“yuta, why don’t you ever ride the ferris wheel with someone else? someone,,,,,,special?”

yuta seems taken back,,,,,for a split moment even speechless but he just looks down at the ticket and you,,,,snap back into reality

and start to apologize because that was,,,,,rude of you,,,,,super rude,,,,,god why do you never thinK properly before speaking

but yuta just chuckles and is like “ok, you’re right i should take someone special can you give me another ticket?”

your heart literally drops into your stomach,,,,because,,,,,he does have someone special,,,,,,,,,,,,

but hiding your trembling hands as you print the ticket you hand it to him only to have yuta give it back and he’s like “let’s go.”

honestly speaking you shouldn’t ever leave your post at the ticket stand but the park is closing in ten minutes and there isn’t another person in sight so when yuta pulls you in behind him ,,,,,,

you find yourself sitting in the see-through cabinet,,,,,the lights of the two flickering below you as the wheel starts to turn

and you’re too busy looking at the view to notice yuta is staring at you

funnily enough,,,even though you’ve worked most of your summer there,,,,you’d actually never gotten to ride it before

so with the sudden invitation to get on,,,,,you kind of got excited,,,,,taking your phone out even to take photos

until you hear yutas voice

“so, ive taken someone special now. are you happy?”

and you look at him and blink,,,,,,,because wait,,,,,,,,are you that special someone???????

but ur like no no no way and so you change the topic and you’re like “why do you ride this every night? does it help you think?”

but yuta just shrugs and is like “no. i just like it. i,,,,,,like it enough to ride it twice,,,,,three times but,,,,,,,”

and you look up from your phone at him and suddenly he’s leaning over

hand coming up to hold the side of your neck

and just as you reach the top you feel his lips against yours before he’s pulling away and whispering “but i like you so much that i thought if i come everyday,,,,if i ride this everyday,,,,,won’t they notice me in time?”

and,,,,,,,,no one has ever,,,,,,so straightforwardly,,,,,,,said something like that to you so you’re shocked,,,,,

nearly dropping the phone in your hands but,,,,,,,,,but also,,,,,,you manage to ask “w-why?”

and yuta laughs,,,,,,hand on his stomach and he’s like “seriously? why? because,,,,,i saw you and it was like i was looking at my dream,,,,,,the person of my dreams,,,,,,,,and then when we got to talk i knew it was right. that you’re the one.”

the ferris wheel starts moving slowly again and once you and yuta get to the bottom you step out of the cabin,,,,,still trying to process the confession from him

when yuta’s hand slips into yours and he’s like c’mon your shift is over. let me treat you again.

and,,,,,,,you follow him but suddenly halfway down the streetyou stop and yuta turns to look at you and you’re like,,,,,,, “don’t play around.”

and he’s like ? what

and you yank your hand from his and you’re like “don’t play around with me. i don’t want to be just another person you woo and then,,,,,and then dump.”

yuta watches you,,,,,nervously looking toward the ground and he lets out a sigh and is like “do you think im playing? do you know how much money i spent on that ferris wheel in the first two weeks? 6 bucks for 6 days out of the week. that’s 36 a week, that’s 72 for tWO YOU KNOW WHAT 72 DOLLARS IS FOR A COLLEGE GUY DONT YOU”

and you look up and he’s like “listen,,,,,,some rumors about me are true. like how i stare out the window during class like a moron but am also ranked in the top five of my major. yeah i tend to fall over things because im not looking, but im still the ace of the soccer team. and yeah,,,,,,,,,i like to talk and be nice to lots of people but im not a player. my feelings for you are for real.”

you swallow the lump in you throat,,,but you’re also like,,,,,,,r-really?

and yuta is like yES really now do you feel the same or no?

sleeps in class and still gets straight A’s - it’s infuriating

but also,,,,,whenever you guys have time you’ll head into the city to the amusement park and get on the ferris wheel because no matter what yuta remembers it as your “first official date spot” even though that’d technically not be true

but it’s cute and it’s important to you two even though doyoung is like “go to a restaurant like ADULTS” but you and yuta aren’t rushing to grow up

any1 who spreads rumors about him gets you super worked up and you’ve screamed at a good number of people and yuta and the boys always hold you back

but afterword yuta is always kissing you madly because “wow i love you so much you stand up for me all the time and wow i love you ok im gonna keep kissing you no-”

you guys are a fun couple ok

still flirts with u even tho ur dating but he does it with plant puns to be cheesey. “will you never leaf me?” “if you were a flower you’d be a damndelion” “we were MINT to be”

what im saying is yuta comes off as not being a dork, but he’s the biggest dork

Shadow Wings Part 1

Plot: ”In 151 years you’re going to find your first true love. From 1994 forward you’re going to be her guardian angel in the shadows. But you must not be seen until her 17th birthday. After that day you’re allowed to meet her. But once you show her your wings, you must kiss her in the next 24 hours. Or else you will be gone for forever. If you kiss her within those 24 hours the curse will be gone and you will be living for real again”

Prologue

Year 1843

The blossoms were carried away by the wind in the cold summer air. Children laughing was heard and horses were running around in the field. The sky was blue together with the colourful blossoms that danced around in the wind. A group of boys jumped in order to catch the leaves.

”Kihyun, did you catch it?” Jooheon asked as he held Kihyun in his arms. He dropped Kihyun to the ground and looked at the leaf that Kihyun held in his right hand. A group of 6 boys gathered around Kihyun with a curious motive. Kihyun studied the leaf with passion wondering how it could be so beautiful. The mixed colours of pastel pink and blue were seen and in the middle there was a shape of wings that got a stronger colour for every time he blinked.

”Do you see what I see?” the 9th year old Kihyun asked with an shocked expression. The others looked at him while nodding.

”It’s so beautiful” Minhyuk exclaimed, while trying to reach it. Kihyun took a step back looking at him quite irritated.

”Don’t you see the angel?” he asked holding up the leaf in the air. Everyone looked at him with an unknown expression, and they laughed.

”Angel? Angels doesn’t exist Kihyun” Minhyuk said while laughing. Kihyun looked at them unamused and walked away with the leaf in his hand.

For years he spent time looking at the leaf instead of playing with his friends. Through rain and thunder, he talked to the leaf that started to dry and almost breaking into pieces. But the angel was still there with a light that kept the leaf beautiful.

”Dear angel, I wish for Minhyuk to stop bothering me and for once act as a nice friend. I also wish for myself to fall in love” he mumbled to the leaf.

He was now 18 years old, dreaming about a first love and a life without sorrow. A life full of joy and happiness. But little did he know that a jealous 18th year old Minhyuk was standing everyday behind a tree staring at the leaf Kihyun held in his hand.

”That leaf is dead, throw it away Kihyun” Minhyuk whined as he walked on the meadow. Kihyun turned his eyes at Minhyuk with anger.

”Let me do what I want”

”You need help! I’ll take it” he said as he took the leaf out of Kihyuns hand. Kihyun screamed and tried to get it back while Minhyuk ran away. With a stone in the way he fell with the leaf crushed into pieces in his hand. Since that day Kihyun hated Minhyuk.

The same day hunters walked into the village searching for gold, gold that the boys families owned. In just some minutes after the boys had arrived from school, they were all dead.

”Kihyun” someone whispered from afar. Kihyun turned to the side where a woman was standing. A woman who looked like the angel in the leaf.

”I..It’s you” he said.

”No.. It’s my grand daughter you’ve seen in the leaf”

”Where is she?” he asked.

”She hasn’t been born yet.”

”Huh? What do you mean?”

Year 2011

Party rock is in the house tonight Everybody just have a good time And we gon' make you lose your mind Everybody just have a good time

The hit of the year was playing and carefully making everyone deaf. Everyone decided to play ”Party Rock Anthem” by LMFAO. A strong smell was also filling the street making people fall here and there. That smell was called Alcohol. The most people that drank alcohol was teenagers.

A group of teenage girls was walking down the street towards the big party. It was called ”Itunes Festival” which according to the apple products was an app where you could buy music and movies. People used it, but it was a new thing. The apple product wasn’t that new, but to teenagers it was. Everyone wanted the newest ”Iphone”.

”I can’t believe that we’re going to drink together with Eric and his group” Sara exclaimed as she walked in her big heels. She was a girl full of energy and hyperactivity. But she was also the girl who wanted a family as soon as possible. It was like she was in a big hurry. Be we all had one of those friends. The girl who wanted a kid when she was 15 and that screamed if she didn’t get laid by 14. She wanted people to talk about her, to be the big news. But little did she know that she lived in London which had thousands of kids.

”I’m going to get too drunk” Aleia said as she took a sip of her cider. They all turned their eyes to her and shared their head as an answer. Aleia was the girl who always drank too much and did stupid things. She thought about her doings after she had done them.

They were a group of three teenage girls who were attending the festival together. The energy girl, drunk girl and the quiet girl who never tried alcohol. That girl was special. She was the only one who could keep away from alchohol even though her friends begged her to drink it and enjoy life while she could.

”Y/N” can’t you just take one drink today?” Aleia asked when they walked towards the stage. The shy girl named Angelina looked at her friend as she slowly shook her head in a response. She smiled and bought a coke. Her friends looked at her and rolled their eyes and walked away to the guys. Sara called Angelina and waved with the hand. Angelina walked back to the group of girls and guys.

”Y/N this is Eric, Landon and Shane” Sara said pointing at the guys who greeted Angelina with a charming smile. She smiled towards them and took a sip of her coke which made the guys look at the with an unknown expression. But she knew all along what they thought.

”You want something stronger?” Landon asked. Angelina smiled at him but walked away. She didn’t want to spend time with guys who wanted sex, drugs and just a slut in the bed. She heard someone calling after her and saw Aleia.

”What?” she asked. Aleia looked at her and placed her hand on her arm as she looked around.

”I don’t want you to feel alone Angie”

”It’s okay Aleia.. I can hang with the loners over there” she said pointing to a group of guys who played playstation. Aleia laughed a little and placed her eyes on something that made her smile fade away.

”Just promise me something if I let you go?” she asked and looked at Angelina with fear and an uneasy expression. Angelina nodded and followed her gaze to a group of 7 boys who talked.

”Don’t talk to those guys! They’re dangerous and don’t know how to keep out of problems. Especially the blonde one. Be careful, okay? Don’t even say hello to them” she said before leaving. Angelina nodded and watched her leave before looking at the guys. One of them caught her eyes and she couldn’t really take her eyes off him. He was one of the shortest ones in the group and looked really handsome. He smiled towards his friends, but looked at Angelina when he noticed her looking at him. She looked away and walked to the guys who played playstation. She looked at the screen rather bored.

”Which one is your favourite character?” a voice asked. Angelina didn’t take her eyes off the screen and thought for a while.

”I don’t know.. I’m not a player” she answered. Something about the voice made her weak to the toes.

”Do you want to learn?” the voice asked.

”I prefer books over tv-games” she said and looked up at the person who asked her the questions. The guy from before looked at her and their eyes met for a second before Angelina looked away. She gulped and looked back at the screen.

”Which one is your favourite book?”

”Fallen” she answered and walked away from him. But she knew that he followed her. It was like a magic power pulled them together. She must be crazy. He’s too handsome to even talk to her.

”Why do you like ’Fallen’?” he asked and stopped her. She turned around and looked up at him.

”Because I believe in angels! I believe that fallen angels have their true love in the world” she said. His face became a big expression that she couldn’t read. He looked at her and suddenly walked away. She followed him with her eyes as he walked past his friends that got worried. They looked at her before they walked after him. Suddenly they were gone with the wind. Something inside her got curious and she felt like she needed to know who that guy was and why he suddenly walked away from her.

”You promised to stay away from them” Aleia whispered. Angelina turned around seeing Aleia looking at her scared. Angelina gave her a weird look.

”Why should I stay away?”

”They’re all devils Angie.. You made Kihyun upset and now the hell is here.. You should’ve seen Changkyuns eyes before he left.. Next time don’t even answer” she said. Angelina looked at the floor without understanding what she meant.

”I’m going home Aleia”

”I should…” Angelina cut her off.

”No, I need alone time!”

She walked out of the area of the festival and down the street to the subway. It was a cold summer night and the closer she got to the subway, the more colder it got. She started to freeze and looked around in case there was someone else walking the same way. She was alone and suddenly she felt something cold on her nose. She looked up and saw how the snow was slowly falling down. She put her hand up as she suddenly walked into snow. The ground was white and the snow was falling.

”But.. it’s in the middle of August” she said as she looked around. Was she dreaming? Some minutes ago, the ground was seen and the air was 18 degrees, and now it’s white everywhere and the air is -10 degrees. She looked around feeling surrounded by something, or someone. She hugged herself and walked to the subway when something hit the ground. She jumped by fear and looked back seeing the blonde guy from before.

”W..what do you want?” she asked.

”What did you say to Kihyun?”

”I.. he asked be about a book” she answered and he walked closer to her. She took a step back and gulped.

”Tell me the exact same words” he threatened.

”I told him that my favourite book was ’Fallen’ and that I believe that fallen angels have a true love” she said which made his threatened look disappear. He looked at her and sighed.

”Ridiculous” he said as he looked at her.

”What?”

”Fallen angels are the devil! He doesn’t have a true love”

”They’re not the devil! Why should I take this with a stupid blonde guy who looks like the devil himself” she said. He laughed and hit his hand right beside her face.

”Stop Minhyuk” someone said. She saw the whole group of guys looking at her. She gulped.

”P..please let me go” she said.

”Let her go Minhyuk” a tall masculine guy said and pushed him away. He took her hand and smiled at her.

”I’ll take you home” he said. In that moment everything turned black.
