Lewis Hamilton
Lewis competes in the GT World Challenge Europe (GT3 Pro category), and is particularly fond of the Sprint Cup championship.
With a big winner mentality, he’s very involved in team operations and work on his car. In fact, he was a big car guy in his youth, and often worked in his father’s autoshop before racing.
As a man that enjoys winning, he often looks to Jeff for inspiration and hangs out with him when he can. And they both get blackout drunk at clubs together, of course.
Max Schnell
Max races in the World Touring Car Cup, and has achieved two championships so far.
Loves playing the piano! Grew up in a very musical family, and is pretty good at it. So naturally he bought music sheet themed suspenders, and socks with three measures and a half of ‘Joy to the World’ on them.
Recieved a burn scar on his leg after spilling his ninth freshly made hot coffee during one of his music writing sessions at 2AM. He’s much too embarrassed to talk about it.
Raoul CaRoule
An exceptional World Rally Championship racer, Raoul’s managed nine consecutive world titles.
His co-driver is the better mechanic of the two, so Raoul just leaves it to him to work on the car. The co-driver calls him lazy, but he knows Raoul will just make the car worse.
Gets cold easily, so he’s very prepared for when rally stages move to colder tracks. And he hates when it snows, anyway.
Nigel Gearsley
An LMGTE-Pro driver, Nigel finds that he excels in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Otherwise, he’s been able to achieve a few wins here and there, but is yet to score a GT Driver’s Championship trophy.
Loves adding little doodles with any autograph he does! His favourite thing to draw being stickmen holding giant fish, for some reason.
As it turns out, he enjoys fishing in his spare time! Nigel’s tried to drag Miguel out to the piers multiple times, but to no avail.
Miguel Camino
Miguel is an LMGTE-Pro driver, though hadn’t seen a championship win until his sixth year in the sport.
A very ‘keep moving forward’ kind of guy; an attitude he adopted from an old racing friend who never got to see Miguel win his first championship.
He’ll tell you his scars came from a dramatic bullfight. While that may be true of the ones across his face, the ones across his mouth were from a particularly feisty cat brushing session.

Lilou Wadoux (Hypercar), Lorenzo Colombo (LMGTE Pro), Doriane Pin (LMP2) and Finn Gehrsitz (LMGTE AM) will all get at least 30 laps behind the wheel of the championship winning car for their allocated category in the test which takes place the day after the Bapco 8 Hours of Bahrain.

Wadoux, 21, from Amiens, France, will become the first woman to drive a Hypercar, and the first woman to drive a car in the premier endurance racing category since Vanina Ickx in 2011. This season Wadoux has driven in WEC for Richard Mille Racing in LMP2. At the test she will drive either the Toyota Gazoo Racing GR010 - Hybrid or Alplne Elf Team A480 – Gibson with both manufacturers capable of taking the title heading to Bahrain.

Colombo, 21, from Legnano, Italy, will drive the LMGTE Pro winning car, meaning he will get behind the wheel of either an AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE EVO or Porsche GT Team Porsche 911 RSR - 19. This season Lorenzo has raced in WEC in the #9 Prema Orlen Team in the LMP2 Oreca 07 – Gibson alongside Louis Delétraz and Robert Kubica.

Pin, 18, from Paris, France, will drive the LMP2 winning car, meaning she will get behind the wheel of whichever Oreca 07 – Gibson wins the title. In 2022, Doriane enjoyed an outing in WEC at in the Iron Dames Ferrari in the TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa. The test will be Doriane’s first time behind the wheel of an LMP2 car.

Gehrsitz,17, from Stuttgart, Germany, will drive the LMGTE Am winning car, meaning he will pilot the either the #33 TF Sport or #98 Northwest AMR Aston Martin Vantage AMR. Last year, Gehrsitz became the youngest driver to compete in the Michelin Le Mans Cup and in 2022 he has raced in the Asian Le Mans Series in the GT3 class as well as the European Le Mans Series in the #2 United Autosports Ligier JS P320.

A sticker will adorn the two official Ferrari 488 GTEs due to compete in Bahrain in the main class of the LMGTE Pro on Saturday, 12 November, at the final round of the FIA WEC.
The caption “Ciao Furia” (Farewell Fury) recalls the nickname by which Mauro Forghieri was affectionately known to many of his colleagues. This is the company’s tribute to the engineer who died in his hometown of Modena on 2 November, aged 87. Forghieri first passed through the Via Abetone Inferiore gates when he was 22. It was the first step on a long journey that, in 1962, led him to become Scuderia Ferrari's technical manager at the behest of Enzo Ferrari. His “pencil” and vision shaped some of the most famous and successful single-seaters, sports cars and prototypes. Indeed, the engineer celebrated nine titles in endurance racing.
The Scuderia Ferrari F1-75 single-seaters driven by Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz at the Sao Paolo Grand Prix in Brazil over the weekend also feature artwork carrying the same message in memory of Forghieri.

Ferrari Hypercar Crews Announced for the FIA WEC
Ferrari officially announces its crews for taking on the 2023 season in the Hypercar class of the FIA World Endurance Championship in the 499P that was officially presented at the Finali Mondiali in Imola. The drivers chosen to bring the Prancing Horse back to the top class of the world championship represent a unique mix of talent, speed and stamina, essential qualities in endurance racing.
499P number 50. Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen are the three drivers set to take turns in the car that proudly bears the number 50, chosen to mark the years that have passed by since Ferrari last raced in the top class of the endurance world championship. Italian Antonio Fuoco, born in 1996, is rapidly establishing himself as one of the most talented drivers on the endurance racing scene and, together with Spaniard Miguel Molina, won the 8 Hours of Bahrain, playing a decisive role in winning the Manufacturers’ World Championship title with a great season finale. Molina, born in 1989 and European Le Mans Series champion in 2021, brings experience and determination to the crew. Danish driver Nicklas Nielsen, born in 1997, after becoming World Champion in the LMP2 Pro-Am class, completes a unique journey that has featured the Ferrari Challenge as an extraordinary accelerating element and has seen him win at least one continental or world championship title without interruption since 2018, always at the wheel of Prancing Horse cars.
499P number 51. Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi make up the crew that will share the work of racing the car bearing the number 51, one of the most successful in Ferrari history. After becoming World Champions for the second time in a row (the third in their careers) in the LMGTE Pro class, Italy’s Alessandro Pier Guidi, born in 1983, and Britain’s James Calado, born in 1989, will take on the challenge of earning the winners’ laurel in the top class together. This partnership, now in its sixth season in the world championship, can boast a unique list of triumphs: no one before them has been crowned champion twice in a row in the LMGTE Pro class and no crew has won three laurels (2017, 2021, 2022). The numbers of the British-Italian pairing over seven seasons in the WEC represent an unmistakable calling card: 11 wins and 23 podiums from 39 starts. The pair of world champions can count on the speed of Italian Antonio Giovinazzi, born in 1993, who is competing full-time in the endurance world championship for the first time after his experience at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2018, where he made his presence felt. With Scuderia Ferrari since 2017, Giovinazzi will continue as a reserve driver in 2023.

Amb la presentació del 499P de Ferrari, el prototip amb el que els italians volen tornar a conquerir les 24 hores de Le Mans, no són pocs els referents que apunten a una nova i memorable batalla entre Ferrari i Porsche per aconseguir la glòria eterna a la prova francesa.
Ferrari sempre ha tirat de èpica i història, essent per exemple la decoració del 499P un tribut al 312PB de principis dels 70. Però un servidor s’ha posat a donar-li voltes i des de la victòria dels italians a la edició de 1965 la realitat és que, tret de victòries en categories “menors” (si es pot considerar menor una categoria com la LMGTE Pro), els italians no han tornat a trepitjar l’esglaó més alt del podi. 
I clar, les comparacions són odioses. 
Un no pot evitar tenir la sensació que des dels anys 70, amb Ferrari ja volcada únicament i exclusiva a la F1 (amb més fracasos que èxits, estadísticament parlant), els italians han passat olímpicament de la resistència. Cert és que el 333SP o el propi 312BP van tenir un relatiu èxit en circuits, però la cosa acaba aquí. El Daytona Competizione? El 512BB? Els LC2 de Lancia amb motor Ferrari? Èxits menors.

Què ha aconseguit Porsche en tots aquests anys? Victòries absolutes amb el 917K (dos), amb el 936 (dos), amb el 956 i 962 (moltes), amb el 996 GT1-98 (una), amb el 919 Hybrid (unes quantes més)... I això sense comptar el 935 o els programes oficials amb els 911 RSR restant recursos al projecte LMP1.
El que vull dir és que per molt que es parli de la “gran rivalitat” que hi ha entre Porsche i Ferrari, la realitat és que la història dels italians a Le Mans quasi que es podria limitar a una dècada bona i para de comptar. De fet m’atreviria a dir que si no fos per la pel·lícula Le Mans d’Steve McQueen, aquesta rivalitat ni tan sols existiria, doncs molt poques vegades els dos fabricants han coincidit en igualtat de condicions.
Qui sap qui guanyarà a la edició de 2023. El que sí sé és que si guanya Ferrari encara li quedarà un bon tros fins a poder-li fer ombra als alemanys.

WEC confirms 13 Hypercar entries for 2023 season | World Endurance Championship
The full season entry list for the 2023 World Endurance Championship has been published, and features 13 cars in the top Hypercar class. Toyota return to defend their 2022 title with the all-star line-up of Sebastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Ryo Hirakawa. The second GR010 Hybrid will be driven by Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Jose Maria Lopez, who won the title together in 2020 and ‘21. Their main 2022 rival Alpine, which raced a grandfathered LMP1 car, are gone, but Toyota now face opposition from several other manufacturers. The most anticipated new entry is Ferrari, who have filled their 499P prototypes by promoting several of their GT stars and also giving a second chance to their Formula 1 reserve driver Antonio Giovinazzi after he failed to land an F1 seat for 2023. Cadillac, who are planning to enter F1 with Andretti Autosport but have that team’s arch rival Chip Ganassi Racing running their Hypercar, have brought 2017 WEC champion Earl Bamber, Alex Lynn and Richard Westbrook across from their IMSA line-up. ByKolles Racing meanwhile has had its Vanwall-branded car accepted as an entry and with a crew consisting of Formula V8 3.5 champion Tom Dillmann, World Touring Car ace Esteban Guerrieri and 1997 F1 world champion Jacques Villeneuve. Despite his race-winning experience in prototype sports car racing, Dillmann is rated as a Gold driver by the FIA rather than a Platinum like his team mates and the majority of the Hypercar entry list. Penske will run two of the four Porsche 963s There will be four of the new Porsche 963s, and run by three different teams. Team Penske are running two ‘factory’ entries in affiliation with Porsche, and their line-up includes the likes of WEC GTE Am class champion Kevin Estre, Formula E’s Andre Lotterer and one of Porsche’s leading GT stars Laurens Vanthoor. Jota Sport’s line-up is led by Euroformula Open and European Le Mans Series champion Yifei Ye. Proton Competition have two-times WEC GTE Pro champion Gianmaria Bruni on their books. Their team mates are yet to be confirmed. Peugeot have two full-time entries and both are being run in-house. In the first car is former F1 driver Paul di Resta, IMSA LMP2 champion Mikkel Jensen and two-times FE champion Jean-Eric Vergne, and the second car will be piloted by 2013 World Endurance champion Loic Duval, 2016 WEC LMP2 champion Gustavo Menezes and DTM star Nico Muller, a continuation of the line-up the team finished 2022 with. The final Hypercar entry is Glickenhaus Racing. The American team so far only have two-times Le Mans 24 Hours winner Romain Dumas signed to drive their car. The official entry list published today also included 11 LMP2 entries and 14 in the LMGTE Am class. The new WEC season will begin at Sebring in March. Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe, a Monza con il pilota del team Akkodis ASP Lorenzo Ferrari. Lorenzo Ferrari, talentuosissimo pilota piacentino di 20 anni, prenderà parte al campionato Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe per la seconda stagione di fila. L’anno scorso portava i colori del team WinWard Racing, motorizzato Mercedes, mentre quest’anno farà parte del team Akkodis ASP, sempre al volante di una Mercedes AMG GT3, con la vettura numero 87. Lorenzo va a completare un equipaggio Pro assieme al tedesco Maximilian Götz e al francese Thomas Drouet in un team che l’anno scorso ha fatto scintille vincendo il campionato. Lorenzo, che ha già ottenuto 2 titoli nel 2021 nel Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo Endurance e Sprint, racconta che quest’anno sarà una stagione ricca di impegni. Infatti, oltre al campionato endurance GT, prenderà parte anche alla Porsche Carrera Cup Italia con Raptor Engineering e alla Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland con la Proton Competition, la stessa squadra con cui lo scorso anno si è laureato campione LMGTE dell’European Le Mans Series assieme a Christian Ried e Gianmaria Bruni. Alla domanda “come ti senti per questa gara e per questa stagione?” Ferrari risponde “sono molto carico, il team è fortissimo e questo mi motiva a dare ancora qualcosa in più per stare il più in alto possibile. Non guido la macchina da ottobre, per cui dovrò ritrovare il feeling, ma non sarà difficile. Questo sport è la mia passione fin da piccolo, ho investito tanto tempo ed energie, soprattutto con mio papà Sergio, per cui farò di tutto per lottare per le posizioni che contano.” Domenica, per la gara che scatterà alle 15, è prevista pioggia, ma Lorenzo non si scoraggia, anzi afferma che guidare sul bagnato gli piace, anche se sarà difficile alla prima curva con 55 vetture pronte a darsi battaglia. Francesco Bernoulli
He’ll complain on the radio if he thinks another driver did something (not leaving space, etc.). 99.9% of the time he’s completely wrong. He’s a big fan of arguing with his race engineer, it’s fun.
When he retires (which will be a while since he loves F1 so much) he’d really like to be a pit lane reporter for the Italian broadcast.
Rip Clutchgoneski
Rip’s a reserve driver for Francesco’s team, and races in F2. He manages to frequently finish in the top 10, with a couple wins under his belt.
He’s got selective mutism. He’s picked up Rearendian Sign Language to use sometimes because it makes him less nervous, and he doesn’t have to use his voice (with a translator by his side for interviews of course).
Carla Veloso
Carla races in the World Endurance Championship, always getting close to winning a championship by almost consistently landing in the top 5.
She’s used to being the only female driver, but would love to see more. She enjoys being a role model to aspiring female drivers, so she gives every race 110%.
During the World Grand Prix she learned a few phrases in Rearendian Sign Language to accommodate Rip.
Shu Todoroki
Shu races in the Asian Le Mans Series, so far winning one championship.
He likes keeping to himself, but he’s hung out with Carla a few times after the World Grand Prix and would consider them buddies; though he’s cautious about it because he doesn’t like rushing into things.
Gets easily frustrated when he messes up, so his race engineer can expect to hear some choice words on the radio for the next few minutes.
Jeff Gorvette
Jeff is a Le Mans Grand Touring Endurance (specifically LMGTE-Pro) driver, achieving many championships and wins.
He’ll watch NASCAR any chance he gets, and somewhat sees a bit of himself in McQueen. That ambition, that drive!
Hates when the circuit is in wet conditions, but enjoys the challenge nonetheless (if given the chance, would rather drive in a minefield).

Onde assistir as 24 Horas de Le Mans no Brasil Corrida chega à 90ª edição com seis brasileiros em equipes competitivas No próximo sábado, 11, às 11h (de Brasília), será dada a largada para a 90ª edição da 24 Horas de Le Mans, a mais importante corrida de endurance do mundo, tradicionalmente realizada no Circuito de La Sarthe. Com uma longa história nas provas de resistência, o Brasil possui uma legião de fãs que neste ano poderá acompanhar a íntegra ou os principais momentos da competição. Trechos da prova serão exibidos pelo canal por assinatura ESPN 4, sintonizado nos canais 73 ou 573/HD para assinantes da Claro e no 594 da SKY HD. O Brasil será representado por seis pilotos nas categorias Hypercar, LMP2 e LMGTE-Pro.
