Design

Whether you prefer water or oil based you cannot call yourself a pomade user unless you’ve tried goon grease from Lockhart’s. The design is clean and classic, I believe they just updated their labeling so the goon grease label has a metallic sheen to it.

Scent 

Lemonhead. There are many scents with the goon grease line-up, but I honestly prefer the original lemon scent. This scent is unique and isn’t too intense. The scent lingers throughout the day but will fade over time. Staci says this one smell like Lysol, the surface cleaner, I would have to agree with her to an extent. But I don’t mind smelling like a cleaning agent every once in a while. Otherwise, Staci approved.

Consistency 

This product has a very thick consistency, but scoops out of the container extremely easily. The top layer is thicker but once broken through, the product underneath is easy to scoop out.

Application 

This is classified as heavy hold but doesn’t apply like one. You have to rub this product in the hand until warmed, in order to ensure an even spread. Tug and pull is at a minimum, so this product goes in smooth

Slickness

This product maintains its slickness throughout the day. Goon grease offers its user to style more of clean look with clean comb lines. If you’re looking for something with more texture this product more not be for you.

Shine

Highest shine you can obtain, hands down. If you want high shine look no further.

Control

This pomade lets you tell it what to do. There is no resistance and is easy to work with.

Strength 

Immediate hold is guaranteed and that’s what you want with a heavy. This one will tame your strays, or if you’re like me, those damn curls.

Endurance 

This oil-based pomade gets the job done and won’t let you down. This one stays around all day and can easily be restyled the way you had when first applied.

This product does contain petroleum, which can be troublesome. Greasiness is a given with this product because as the day goes on the grease can be felt. This isn’t much of an issue for me. My hair sort of locks in and absorbs a lot of the oil. This product can also be hard to remove from your hair, a few rinses of shampoo may be needed. Again, I don’t have an issue with removing this product. A little shampoo and its completely gone for me. These dilemmas can be a turn off for some, but I believe the benefits of this oil-based strongly outweigh the negative.  

This product is a heavy that doesn’t act like a heavy. Scoops out easy, really easy. Honestly the most surprising thing about this pomade is how it applies and feels in your hair.  Goes in smooth and easy to comb through your hair.

And now for something a little different...

The start of term was in a week, and Gilderoy Lockhart had arrived to Hogwarts early to supervise the house elves as they arranged his quarters to his specifications. Most of the other professors’ rooms were sophisticatedly decorated, but Gilderoy had better taste than all of them and made his requests quite plain in his contract; four full-length mirrors, a golden vanity at which he could coiff his hair in his signature curls, luxe furnishings, upholstery in a cornflower blue. Not many people had an eye for such detail, but he prided himself on having such attentions.

“You there, place those flowers on the coffee table, and be careful not to rumple them, and you, make sure to hang my robes facing the same direction in the wardrobe. Can’t have chaos in the morning while choosing my ensemble for my fans - er, students,” he instructed haughtily. The house elves eagerly complied, flitting about the room as they fulfilled his orders. The elves were now hanging his robes up and unpacking a large chest which seemed to hold mostly hair supplies and cosmetic items: powders, pomades and hair potions, special brushes and combs, and a variety of differently-sized hand mirrors.

He reached inside, gingerly removing the large cloth covering the contents and flinging it to the side. Inside the chest were various framed photographs all wrapped in soft, fluffy cloths; twenty-seven photographs of Gilderoy Lockhart, all flashing brilliant smiles, golden blond hair, and blue eyes that twinkled as he moved his gaze toward the camera.

Genervt durch die Winkelgasse laufen um Gilderoy Lockhart's Bücher zu holen, während man wegen dem Gedränge und Stress der kurz vorm Schulbeginn stattfindet beinahe einen Kollaps kriegt und sich nur im Kreis dreht, weil dir dauernd irgendweche Gnome auf die Füße treten und du von Riesen *hust* Hagrid *hust* mit ihren Einkaufstüten oder Schneckenschutzmittel gahauen wirst, sodass du komplett die Orientierung verlierst und schließlich in der Nokrurngasse landest und von Gestalten wir Kreacher angepöbelt wirst? Na? kommt dir das bekannt vor? Naja, um euch den Stress vorm Schulbeginn einen kleinen wenig zu versüßen wollten wir euch unsere  Resultate zur Themenbefragung "Was ist Hogwarts für dich/Sie?" veröffentlichen, die wir kurz vor den Sommerferien durchgeführt haben. Unsere Befragten waren: Cho Chang, Cormac McLaggen, Neville Longbottom, Ginny & Ronande Pomade Weasly, Arthur Fancourt, Hermoine Granger, Dobby, unser Hausmeister Filch, Harry Potter, Professor Snape, Professor Dumbledore. Frage 1: Was unterscheidet Hogwarts von anderen Schulen wie z.B  Uagadou ,Beauxbaton, Durmstrang,  Mahoutokoro oder Castelobruxo? ChoChang: "Es ist einzigartig." CormacMcLaggen: "Ähm..von wem?" Neville Longbottom: " Naja ich habe gehört, dass die anderen Zauberschulen keine so breit gefächerte Abteilung in der Bibliothek für Kräuterkunde haben sollen wie wir" Ginny Weasly: "Hier kann man sehr viel Zeit mit seinen Freunden verbringen" Ronade Pomade Weasly: "Also genau kann ich das nicht sagen, aber ich hab gehört dass Castelbruxo ein großes Ungezieferproblem haben soll...ihr wisst schon. Viele Spinnen und so..." Arthur Fancourt: "Wir sind die Quidditch-Champions so einfach ist das" Hermoine Granger: "Es gibt hier unglaublich viele Kurse, die man belegen kann und die meisten Lehrer sind sehr aufgeschlossen was Einzeluntterricht betrifft oder helfen einem sich allgemein ständig weiterbilden zu können" Dobby: "Dobby ist nicht oft hier, mein Gebieter. Leider war Dobby nie auf dieser Schule, aber wenn Dobby einmal hier sein darf findet er es einfach nur toll. Besser als irgendwo sonst, mein Gebieter" Filch: "Die anderen Schulen haben sicher nicht so verstopfte Abflüsse und sie haben mehr Hausmeister, soadass sich nicht nur EINE Person um den ganzen Chaos kümmern muss den diese, abartig unerzogene Schar von Besserwissern  anrichet!" Harry Potter: "Man hat hier immer was zum lachen" Professor Snape: "Wir sind eine überaus kompetente Schule, die junge Zauberer im besten Maße auf ihre berufliche Zukunft vorbereiten könnte, wenn diese noch nur wollen würden" Albus Dumbeldore: "Bei Merlins Bart, was soll ich da nur sagen? Es gibt so vieles...aber das wichtigste ist wohl, dass in Hogwarts niemand alleine ist. Jemand der um Hilfe bittet, wird sie auch stets bekommen"

Frage 2: "Was liebt ihr an Hogwarts am meisten" ChoChang: Den Astronomieturm" CormacMcLaggen: "Ähm.." Neville Longbottom: "Kräuterkunde bei Professor Sprout und die Gewächshäuser. Da findet man einige sehr interessante Pflanzen mit unglaunlich verschieden Wirkungsmitteln, die auf erstaunliche Weise ...(da mussten wir Neville leider unterbrechen) Ginny Weasly :"Ich liebe den Griffendor Gemeinschaftsraum" Ronade Pomade Weasly: "Die Peitschende Weide....NICHT" Arthur Fancourt: "Quidditch. Das Gefühl von Freiheit wenn man durch die Lüfte schießt. Das Adrenalin" Hermione Granger: "Ich mag vorallem die Bibliothek" Dobby: "Dobby liebt es, dass alle hier so freundlich sind, mein Gebieter" Filch: "Die Sommerferien." Harry Potter: "Hier sind alle Menschen, die mir am Herzen liegen. Ich fühl mich einfach wohl." Professor Snape: "Ruhe, die aber so gut wie nie herrscht." Professor Deumbeldore: "Dass Hogwarts jedem das ermöglicht, was er sich sehnlichst wünscht." Frage 3: "Wie würdet ihr Hogwarts in nur einem Wort beschreiben?"

Hermione Granger "Heimat" Dobby "Freiheit" Filch "Irrenanstalt" Harry Potter "Zuhause" Pofessor Snape: Leider verkörpert die Schule in einem Gewissem Maße die Schüler, also würde ich wohl "Unerzogenheit" sagen." Professor Dumbledore "Ich denke ich spreche für alle, wenn ich das Wort "Geborgenheit" wähle. Wie ihr seht, gingen die Antworten bei Frage 1 und 2 arg auseinander, bei Frage 3 waren sich jedoch alle (naja fast alle) einig, dass Hogwarts ein Ort ist, an dem man sich wohlfühlt und das ist wie zuhause eben. Natürlich geht es auch nicht anders als sich nicht nicht wohl zu fühlen.Wir meinen, bei diesen charmanten, gut aussehenden Zwillingen... oh wir meinen natürlich Zauberern die hilfsbereit und dazu noch witzig sind. (Aber nein ernsthaft Mäddels, wir brauchen noch eine Begleitung für den Weihnachtsball und die Proben die schon bald beginnen.Dieses Jahr wollen wir vorsorgen. Bittte schreibt uns!
