I saw this on twitter this morning and it reminded of just how many great ideas and concepts were floating around in the early stages of the Loki series.
This is very in character for Loki. He probably would not have thought twice about something like slavery especially on a place like Midgard before the events of Thor 1 but let's put ourselves in his shoes for a moment.
This is a Loki that’s just been ripped out of his timeline, stripped of his clothes, put into different collar, and tossed into the unknown.
He has also just been info dumped his entire life story by some guy, Mobius, who really believes in him for some reason. Of course the first thing he's going to do is kill the slave owner.
And the neck snap!

Out of all the places Loki time slips in 2x5, he really was just trying to get back to Mobius the entire time.
Time theater 25 where Mobius first took Loki in 1x1
The room with all the key lime pies where they shared a snack in 2x2
He appears at the store Don works at not once, but twice before finally going in
Out of all his friends, Mobius is the one he’s most relieved to see
And then finally finds him again, appearing right in Don’s front yard

mobius: wow.
loki: what's "wow"?
mobius: just-wow!
loki: you're doing it again.
mobius: doing what?
loki: saying "wow" repeatedly!
mobius: really? wow.

Brad: Stop trying to be a hero, Loki. You're a villain. You're good at it. Do that.
Loki: ...Fine. *he plays the villain and torture Brad*
