*Probably will make this a multi part thing but idk I’ll see how it goes🙃*
Tumblr media
You finished plaiting the last braid in your hair before continuing your peaceful stroll along the rushing river in the queens gardens.
You had been welcomed most warmly that dawn by the king and queen of Asgard, but as the princes were on a mission fighting in another realm, you were still yet to meet them.
As a light elf, you had the most radiant spirit and connected deeply with nature. You were a princess, yes, but that wasn’t always what you prioritised. You generally never dressed like one and you never cared for the politics of it all. One of the main reasons you were here now, on Asgard.
After your mother's passing, your father believed that if you spent time around this royal family, that ‘perhaps you’ll learn the proper manners of a princess’, as he had said.
You scoff at the memory. It may have only be recent, but, life hasn't been the same since your mother died. Your father is cold and distant. Life is lonely and dull.
Hour pass as you remain in the gardens, surrounded by animals and natural beauty. So lost in your own train of thought, you don’t even notice that someone has entered your presence.
“I do not believe that maids are allowed unaccompanied in the queens gardens.” The smooth voice snaps your from your trance and you turn to look over your shoulder.
You recognise the man standing before you immediately. Maid...really? Prince Loki; tall, dark, and handsome as ever. Does he really not realise who you are?
You cock your head to the side. “Oh, right. My apologies…my prince.” You bow your head slightly and he raises a brow as you stifle a giggle and run off back to the palace entrance. You decide to reside in your room reading, until dinner time.
----
"My boys. You both look rather dashing." Frigga's soft voice floats throughout the currently empty dining hall.
"Why thank you, mother." Thor replies as Loki smiles silently in response.
"So where is this.. princess.. that is going to be staying with us?" Loki asks, trying his best to hide his intrigue. His current thoughts were solely that of the princess and mysterious 'maid' he had found in the garden earlier that day that he had never seen before.
"Coming right now, and be nice to her, please. She has just lost her mother. She is delicate." Her voice is soft and there's a sadness to it. Your mother was, after all, one of Frigga's closest friends.
The guards open the doors to the dining hall. Meekly, you walk in and bow in front of the royal family before you.
"Rise, child." Odin's voice booms and you flinch slightly.
Frigga smiles fondly and gestures for you to come over. You slowly approach, curls in your hair bouncing slightly as you hold your beautiful, long, flowing dress.
"How are you, my dear?" Frigga asks as she holds your hands in hers.
You hesitate. "I'm okay, your highness."
"Good. And please, call me Frigga." She chuckles. "Here, meet my sons. Thor, and Loki." She smiles proudly.
As you reach a hand out to shake, you realise you shouldn't. Your father would whip your hand if you did that. Not that he's there, but you won't risk it this time. You settle on a curtsy.
"Welcome to Asgard, princess. We are more than happy to have you." Thor shouts kindly. You smile in return, feeling an odd sense of comfort from the large man.
You look over, making eye contact with Loki. He stares back at you, stunned, eyeing you up and down with a curious smirk. You blush and try not to laugh.
"It would seem that Prince Loki and I have actually met already."
---
The room bustled with people, eating their various foods and chatting about nothing. Small talk this, small talk that. Empty conversations will be the death of you.
"So, princess Y/n. How is your father faring?" A rough voice from beside you asks.
You groan internally.
"Quite well. Thank you." You reply through gritted teeth. You smile and silently stand there in hopes that unfamiliar man will leave. But, he doesn't.
"And how is life on Asgard treating you?" Another question you can roll your eyes at.
"Well considering I've been here barely a day, how about I get back to you on that one another time." You throw him a sour smile, handing him your drink before walking away curtly.
You find yourself standing alone in the corner as the night pursues. It seems that gossip travels rather fast here on Asgard as people were already whispering and casting judging glances. Perhaps you were too unnecessarily rude to the man. Well, who cares, maybe it means you can go home quicker.
"You do not care for dancing?" A husky voice asks from behind you.
"You do not care for approaching people like a normal person?" You don't need to turn around to know who it is.
He shrugs, no standing beside you. "I am not a normal person. It is simply part of my charm."
"Well that I sure do not care for." You cross your arms. How much longer until this is over.
"Ouch. You itch so badly to get out of here." He says quietly as he looks out onto the sea of people, who are starting to stare even more so now that you're talking to their prince.
"Don't you?" You scoff. "Look. I've been here a day and already all these people hate me."
"They do not hate you. They simply...misunderstand you, I suppose. Take your honesty as hostility." He shrugs.
"I said one thing! Just the one!" You raise one finger to emphasise and he chuckles in amusement.
"You will get over it, and I assure you, they will too." He tells you, as if he has experienced this before too.
Your eyes widen as you come to a shocking realisation. "If this news gets back to my father he is going to kill me."
Loki scoffs. "Please, with something this tame? I doubt it, princess."
His use of the words princess makes your stomach flip but you ignore the feeling and mumble incoherently back to him.
"I need to shower and organise my room with all my stuff." You say, changing the subject as you anxiously bite your nails, counting down the seconds till you can leave already.
"You do know there is maids for that, right?" He replies smugly, hands tucked into his pockets.
"Yes.. but you do know I'm not one of them, right?"

Mischief
Pairing: Loki x Fem!Reader
Plot:
When with the God of Mischief, even the laziest of mornings can become "engaging". (There's no plot, really; just a blurb with lots of fluff.)
Warnings: Fluff, fluff, steamy kiss!!
Note: The female character shown in the GIF does, in no way, reflect the appearance of the female character in the story. It's just that this kiss melts me into a puddle. 😍
Read time: ~5 mins
Tumblr media
The cool Wind of the morning ran a soothing hand through everything it could reach, including the long off-white curtains of a somnolent room while the Sun yawned lazily, not far from the horizon, trying to infiltrate the sleeping room with its rays of warm, melted gold. In its attempt to penetrate the pale curtains, it lended the room a radiance that would have probably been envied by Odin’s own chamber.
One of the mischievous rays sneaked its way in, and successfully settled on Y/N’s closed eyelids, thus bringing her on the edge of her dreamscape. With a tiny protest in the back of her throat and with a loose knot of her brows, she  opened her eyes, only to squint and shut them again. Almost reluctantly, she shifted her face so that the Sun’s ray slipped off her skin. Assured that her sleepy features won’t be barged by the shenanigans of the infant day, she opened her eyes again, slightly this time. And her gaze landed on what she thought was the most beautiful sight in the entire universe!
Still deep in his slumber, undisturbed yet by the new day, untouched by any dark claws of the sleeping mind, Loki glowed in the morning light like the god he was.
The god was lying on his belly with his tranquil features turned towards her. Her eyes travelled across his face, which was partly cradled, partly shadowed by his raven locks. Gingerly, she tucked a strand behind his ear. Nothing lay now between her worshipping stare and his ethereal features: eyelids closed as though protecting a precious dream, lips slightly parted and every contour radiating peace.
As her gaze followed the outlines of his face, neck and down his shoulder blades, she realised that her position barred the sight of the rest of this divine beauty.
Propping herself on an elbow, she admired him for a while, before sitting up to see him properly. Sleep was still lingering on her eyelids, and her body demanded more rest but there was something so magnetic about Loki that she’d happily give up her rest to be bound in his gorgeous spells.
Resting her back on the headboard, she watched him with wonder. The God of Mischief, sound asleep beside her, his porcelain back rising and falling rhythmically with his breathing.
"Mischief" - that's what the world called him. Indeed when he was awake, the sparkle in his eyes demanded both curiosity and caution. But his sleeping form now was so different! In his sleep, he looked so peaceful that even the cool moonlight would envy the serenity that he emitted.
A powerful God, one of the Sorcerer Supremes, a being so magical and strong that she could never fathom his magnitude, lay humbly beside her, trusting her with his life, with everything that was him.
She watched him float in a dreamscape, and wondered how she, an ordinary soul amongst zillion others in the universe, could have such an extraordinary fate that led her to spend her life in the warm embrace of this marvellous being.
“It is impolite to stare.”
The deep rumble of the trickster’s voice startled her before she burst into giggles.
“Do I need to remind you, darling?” Loki’s sleep-laden voice echoed again, accompanied by a sly smile this time.
“Well,” she tried to make herself sound serious but remnants of the laughter betrayed her, “I wasn’t staring, I was admiring. Beauty needs to be admired every now and then.”
“Indeed, that is true,” with little effort, Loki turned on his back and shifted to lay his head on her thighs. With eyes that were still pulling him into dreamland, he stared up at her. “What a sight to admir-…”
Although he tried to be charming, the yawn that broke through him left him looking rather cute.
“Well, that was romantic,” she chuckled.
"I believe compensations are in order," Loki started pulling her neck gently downwards.
But she tried to pull away with a whine and another giggle, "Mmh! Morning breath!"
"I do not care!"
"I do!"
"Darling, every breath of yours is as fresh as the earth after the first rain!"
"Wow!" She gasped. "That was cheesy! But I wasn't talking about only myself. I assume gods aren't an exception to morning breaths, are they?"
Loki's voice got darker as a smirk adorned his handsome features, "Why do you not see for yourself, hmm?"
When she protested again, he gave up. Or at least pretended to. For, his wandering hands slowly slid up to her waist, and started patrolling either side of it.
"Do you realise that offending the gods is a sin and the sinner must face punishment?"
"Really? Should they now? Well, in that cas- LOKI!! No! Stop!!"
His tickles made her bend over in laughter, which in turn gave him the perfect opportunity to remove himself from her lap, pull her down on the bed, and trap her beneath him.
Putting a sudden halt to his actions, he waited for her to calm down, while his eyes took in every line and curve of the architecture of her face, of the way the morning light made a few strands of her hair glow, the creases around her eyes and the curves around her lips when she laughed…
And as soon as the last of her hysterical laugh left her, he sealed her mouth with his. Slotting his lips with hers, he enveloped her senses in a kiss that made her pull him further into her, one that made her wrap her legs around his waist and made her moan into his mouth.
After what seemed like centuries and yet like a fleeting moment, he released her. Staring at her swollen lips, flustered cheeks and dark eyes, he couldn't help but laugh softly, "Someone here is not fond of morning breath, I assume."
She swiftly glided a hand from his back and on his head and, with a huff, threaded her fingers into his dishevelled raven locks. Tugging them hard enough for Loki to let out a small hiss, she ghosted her lips over his.
"Just shut up and kiss me, Silvertongue!"
"Ooh! Silvertongue, hmm? But I think I should brush first. After all, morning breath-"
"Oh damn!"
With a hearty laugh, he granted her wish, stealing all her thoughts away until the only chant that her mind and body knew was his name.

Birthday
Summary: Loki didn't have a birthday present for you. Or did he?
Word count: 2.497 words
Warnings: Loki is a little bit of a dick at first, sex (18+), a little biting and hair pulling
Birthday The team was all gathered in the living room. You had poured coffee and put out cake. They had brought you some presents, new gadgets you wanted for your electronic devices, new craft supplies, or some jewellery. When everyone had gifted you their present, all eyes turned to Loki.
‘You don’t have anything?’ Steve asked.
‘No, should I have?’ Loki replied.
‘Well, it is tradition to give someone a gift on their birthday’
‘After the first 50, you kind of done with birthdays’ Loki said.
‘It is a tradition here on Midgard, I did tell you about it last month’ Thor chimed in.
‘Just let it go guys, I didn’t expect anything from him anyway’ you replied. Wanted to be done with this conversation.
‘Why wouldn’t you expect anything from me?’ Loki asked offended.
‘Pff, why would I? You are here for almost a year, do everything not to be a part of this team, so no. Like you could come up with anything I would want’
Loki shot up from the couch. He straightened his jacket, he stared blankly at you. ‘Fine, I’ll get you a gift. But be careful what you wish for’ he said way too calm for your liking. He walked away without saying anything.
The whole team now turned their eyes towards you. ‘What did you do?’ ‘You know what happens when you piss him off’ they started.
‘Yeah, yeah, after my clothes disappearing, the green hair, the cats to trigger an allergic reaction to the salt and sugar being switched.. I know. But he is so arrogant and self-centred all the time, I couldn’t help it. It just slipped out’
‘Relax, it’s not like he would actually do anything on your birthday’ Thor said.
Everyone looked at Thor. He just looked silently around the room. ‘I’m like 99% sure’ he said.
‘Didn’t you tell me he once gifted you a snake that bit you, which turned out to be himself later?’ Tony replied.
‘80% then’ Thor said.
‘And what about your birthday where he got you to get yourself lost in a maze?’ Nat asked.
‘55% then, still more than half’
‘Didn’t he once replace all the cakes at your birthday with vegetable that looked like cake?’ Steve asked.
‘I-, if I were you (Y/N), I might stay in my room tonight and avoid him’ Thor finally said.
You just shrugged it off. You would see what Loki would do when it happened. It was annoying, but the stuff he pulled was harmless. The rest of the afternoon you spend with the team.
Everyone had dinner together, but Loki never appeared. Thor when in search for him, but he couldn’t fine him anywhere. You were becoming a little nervous but tried not to let it show.
The rest of the evening, your nerves grew higher and higher. The fact that Loki was nowhere to be seen, didn’t meant anything good for you. When it was time to go to bed, you tried to reassure yourself. If he still hadn’t pulled anything today, maybe Thor was right .Maybe he would understand that he shouldn’t mess with you on your birthday. But if felt like you were lying to yourself.
You sneaked into the hallway, but there was no sign of him. You let out a breath you didn’t know that you were holding. And tiptoed through the hallway, around the corner, to your own room. You opened the door and closed it behind you.
Safe.
Or so you thought.
The second you had closed the door behind you. It was gone. ‘Shit’ you said.
‘Didn’t the Captain teach you to not to swear?’ you heard his menacing voice in your ear. You looked back, but there was just a wall. You stepped into the middle of your room, looking for a door or other way out. But the room around you started to spin. You felt yourself move, but you couldn’t tell you if you were. You were starting to lose your balance and stumbled backwords. Two hand grabbed your hips from behind, your back hit something hard.
‘Answer the question’ you felt two lips brush your earlobe.
Startled, you jumped away from the hands and turned around. Loki was standing with an amused smile on his face. He took a step towards you, making you take a step back.
‘What’s wrong, darling?’ he innocently asked.
‘It’s my birthday! You can’t do something to me on my birthday!’ you frantically answered. Normally his pranks were on a distance, that fact that he was up close didn’t mean anything good.
Loki just looked at the clock behind him. ‘It five minutes past your birthday, according to my clock’ he grinned.
You took another step back, not trusting what he had planned. Your legs hit something, you looked back to see an enormous bed behind you. Judging by the green colour, you knew it was his. You looked around and realized that you were in his room. It was obvious, though you had never been there. There was a desk with some scattered papers, a bookcase next to it, a sofa and a comfy seat placed next to a small coffee table, and there was a giant tv on the wall.
‘I’ve never been in your room’ you said.
‘Stating obvious facts, I see’ Loki replied.
‘Has anyone ever been in your room?’ you asked.
‘Do you like it?’ he asked.
You turned to face him, trying not to show you were a little startled that he had moved closer towards you, without you noticing.
‘Since when do you care what I think?’ you asked suspiciously.
‘Well, since you are going to be spending a lot of time here. I thought I would be nice’ he answered. ‘And no, nobody’s been here. Except for Thor’
‘Keeping me hostage in your room…. I think they will be able to find my location quite quickly’
One of his eyebrows quirked up. ‘I’m not keeping you hostage. If you want to leave, leave’  he stepped sideways and gestured to the door. You eyed the door and then Loki. You weren’t quite sure what he tried to pull. But curiosity got the better of you.
‘Why bring me here, and why not invite me like a normal person?’
‘Like you said, I owe you a present. I got you a present, and it is far more fun to teleport you here than to ask you’ he smirked.
‘No snake or vegetable cake I hope?’
He chuckled ‘No, you are going to enjoy this one. You can trust me on that’ he took another step closer towards you. This might have been the closest you have ever been. You could smell his forest cologne, for two seconds you closed your eyes and breathed it in. You looked him straight into his eyes, trying to hide your nerves and the effect his scent had on you.
‘All right, what did you get me?’ you asked.
‘Sit down’ he said.
‘Loki’ you warningly said.
‘Sit down’ he repeated himself. For a moment you contemplating on leaving, but let’s be honest, you didn’t want to leave.
You slowly sat down on his bed behind you. Not letting him out of your sight. He just looked smugly down at you and stepped closer to be right in front of you. You tried to ignore the bulge that was kind of in your face and leaned back a little bit on your arms.
‘What did you meant by what you said? That I’m going to spend a lot of time here, if I can leave any time I want?’ you asked, realizing he never explained himself.
‘Close your eyes’ he said.
You stared defiantly at him, but after a few seconds did as he asked. You felt his presence getting closer, the bed dipped a little lower, his curls trickled the side of your face and you felt two soft lips touch yours. Without a thought you moved your lips with his. He pulled back way to quickly, you opened your eyes.
´I thought I will finally give you what you truly desire’ he said.
‘And what is it that I truly desire?’ you asked intrigued.
‘Didn’t you think I knew? O darling’ he chuckled. ‘I have known for a while now. I see how you try not to stare while I train, when I just returned from the shower, or how your eyes almost pop out in the summer while I’m wearing nothing but trunks. And I have to say it’s just pathetic that you haven’t made your move once’
‘Y- You knew?’ you thought you were being smooth, but apparently it was quite obvious to him.
‘Did you thought you were being smooth?’ he patronizingly asked.
You were overthinking every event where he might have seen you staring at him. And you realized that you might not have been so smooth as you thought.
‘So, for your birthday. I give you me’ he looked smugly down at you. ‘I know it is the best present you have ever been given, but if you don’t want it, you can leave, and I’ll get you a necklace or something like that tomorrow’
You didn’t make a move, because now that he had kissed you, you needed, no you craved more.
‘Can I continue with your gift, now?’ he asked.
‘Yes’ you agreed.
‘Good’  his lips were back on yours again. He slipped his tongue in your mouth between his open mouth kisses. You were already panting and gasping for air, and realized he had only just begun.
His lips trailed towards your neck and without any warning you felt his teeth sink into your flesh. You hissed from the sudden pain, but the way he licked your skin afterwards made all the pain disappear. He had a way of balancing the line between pain and pleasure. It took him only a few seconds to find you weak spot, and you began to think that his nickname silver tongue, didn’t come from his way with words.
He sat upright, his legs on either side of your hips. A knife was conjured out of thin air. ‘If I were you, I would lay very still’
The tip of the blad was placed at your throat. He slowly but carefully dragged the tip of the knife across your throat to your chest. You were focussing hard on keeping your breathing even, so the knife wouldn’t cut your skin. The knife slid right through the top of you t-shirt and the middle piece of your bra was next to go. In one smooth motion he sliced through you entire t-shirt, making your breasts pop out of their containment.
Like an animal in heat his lips found your left nipple and he started to suck hard. His teeth grazed your sensitive skin. You arched your back, trying to escape the sudden pleasure, but it was no use. His hand snaked behind your back and he kept you in this position until he was satisfied by how hard you were panting and moaning.
His trailed his kissing upwards, until his lips reached your earlobe. ‘Now, normally I would tie you to the bed and make you beg until you have no more voice to even whisper your desperate prayers to me’
‘But since it’s your birthday and this is your gift, I’m going easy on you’
With a snap of his finger none of you were wearing any clothes anymore. Startled by your sudden vulnerability, you tried to cover yourself up with your hands. Loki grabbed your wrists and put them beside your head.
‘Don’t ever do that for me again’ he tried to warningly reassure you.
He kissed you softly this time and looked you in your eyes ‘I have been craving you since the moment I met you. Now that I have you, you’re mine and to me you are perfection, darling’
You felt one of his hands at your hip, sliding towards your thigh.
‘Tell me I can continue’ he whispered in your ear.
‘Loki, please, you’re killing me here’  you pleaded, hoping he would give you what you have craved all these months.
His hand moved towards your centre. He slowly trailed downwards and put a finger between your fold. Going upwards he found your clit and you whined out loud. Finally, you would get to know for real what his fingers could do to you.
He slowly started to circle you clit, while he kept his gaze on you. He registered every expression and every movement you mad. Calculating what to do to give you the most pleasure. A sum he had solved in merely a few minutes.
‘Sing for me, darling’ he hummed in your ear, while you could feel the high pressure let go in your release.
He kissed you, while you were still coming down from your high and felt his fingers slowing down their pace. With his hand he grabbed your hair and pulled it hardly, making you hiss. The tip of his cock made it way through your folds. He guided himself inside of you with his other hand, and slowly went as far as you could let him.
Full, was a word that got a whole new definition for you.
‘Are you okay?’ he asked.
‘Oh God, you feel amazing’ you ignore the smirk that showed on his face.
‘That’s right, pray to your God’ he moaned while he started to pump up and down inside of you.
He began slow but quickly picked up the pace. You met his pace with your hips, making his cock drag just against the right spot. He kept going, and you lost all track of time. Finally when he increased his pace, he triggered your orgasm hat milked him for all he got.
Completely spent, you were catching your breath. Loki did the same. When both of you were breathing normally, he slowly made his way out of you. With a snap the mess was gone and you smelled the fresh bedlinens on the bed you lay.
Loki laid down next to you, putting a hand around your waist. While he hummed in approval. You turned around in his arms, so your face was towards his chest. ‘You can’t say this wasn’t the best present you have gotten today’ he said teasingly.
‘You really are full of yourself aren’t you?’
‘I thought it was you who is going to be full of me’ he smirked.
‘Well, at least this was a good surprise, instead of all the bad ones you did’ you answered.
‘Really?’ he asked.
´Well, yeah. I finally get to lay in your arms’ you snuggled closer against his chest.
He just laughed a little. ‘While that is more than true. You do realize I’m your problem now? Don’t you?’
‘O god’ you murmured.
‘Happy birthday, darling. Just know that there here is only one God that can help you now’ he whispered in your ear.

Letters
Part 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Writing everything down should help you process your feelings. Somehow it always turns into letters to him.
Warnings: Grief, angst, eventual smut.
Tumblr media
Jan. 29
I sat at the edge of the shore today and thought of you when the mist blew up and kissed my skin. It reminded me of all those times you gave me chills, causing my skin to prickle and an uncontrollable shiver to run through. The wind caused havoc to my hair while staring out into the vastness of the ocean, remembering how lucky I was to have you in my life, even if our time together was brief.
You would like it here–the mercurial sea, the grassy hillsides, the endless seaside caverns to get lost in.
I've dreamt about you plenty, even when ignoring those thoughts in the daylight. I know you'd tell me to move on, to find happiness, to live my life to the fullest, and oh I am trying, but your imprint on me runs deep and even if I get through my day without a thought of you, the night remembers.
Wherever you are, Valhalla or somewhere else, I hope you found peace. I know that you did what you felt you had to do (gods, you were stubborn), but I miss you madly. I'd give anything
You set the pen down and stared out the kitchen window, a tear hitting the page and causing black ink to smear. This was supposed to be therapeutic, writing thoughts and feelings down, but somehow it always turned into letters to him. Were you pathetic? Maybe. After all, he hadn't been your partner, he'd barely been a lover, but you'd given him everything and he'd hold onto that forever.
His intrusion into your life hadn't been expected, not when he came to earth the first time unannounced with a vengeance, or the second time when he slowly became an ally to an apprehensive team. He reluctantly joined the team in a few battles at Thor's insistence, and if that was all it had been, you would have slipped by him without a second glance. But your years of combat experience weren't for nothing and when your katana blew past his cheek to slice a common foe in two, he turned his eyes for a split second to the goddess wielding the sword.
You hadn't given his glance a second thought, assuming he'd only been stunned by a female "Midgardian" being able to handle her own in battle. Twisting to the right, you continued on like the warrior you were, slaughtering anyone who stood in your way.
In the back of the Quinjet after the bloody battle, you stood at a mirror applying a butterfly bandage to the gash on your cheek with a grimace. Your eyes averted from the wound to a pair of green eyes reflected in the mirror behind you. His stare was unbreaking and you abruptly turned to the front of the jet. You didn't like being alone with this calculated, twisted god.
The Quinjet landed late that night (or was it considered now early morning?) and you yawned while shouldering the sword, craving a hot shower and the comfort of your bed. But arguing with the Captain was pointless–he was by the book: after any mission there was to be a debriefing, followed by a physical assessment.
The debriefing was easy, the normal run through of the last two days, followed by a series of questions from a desk agent.
"Alright doc," you sighed after the interview. "Let's get this over with."
You slipped off the leather ensemble for the doc to get a better assessment and sat on the edge of the cold bed. Dr. Pham pulled the curtain around the bed and proceeded with the medical evaluation–blood pressure, concussion protocol, checking for any fractures or needed stitches.
"Looks like you got hit pretty good here," she said, referencing the wound on your cheek.
"You should see the other guy."
She smirked, grabbing some antibiotic cream. "I don't doubt it."
A few beds over you heard an annoyed Loki berating the other medical staff on duty. "I don't care what training you have, you aren't poking and prodding me like cattle."
You smiled at Dr. Pham. "Sounds like you need to save your staff."
She rolled her eyes and got to her feet. "Everything looks good. Call me if you need anything."
Dr. Pham's steps echoed down the hall as you pulled your suit back on, the argument continuing while you drew back the curtain and proceeded toward the door. Loki emerged with a huff, striding in your direction. "I am a god, Ms. Pham. This protocol may be well and good for you mortals but I'll have none of it."
You shrugged your shoulders at the medical staff and followed him out the door.
"Unbelievable," he mumbled under his breath. "Don't they know who I am?"
"Who are you?" He turned as if he'd just noticed another person in his vicinity. Looking down, he gave a quizzical look, his mouth open in confusion. "From what I could hear, those people were doing their job and trying to help you, and you treated them like they were trash. So, who do you think you are?"
He looked to the door behind you and shook his head with a sigh. "Mortals," he mumbled under his breath and turned, proceeding out of the building.

Remember that day I came back from the mission in Istanbul? It was supposed to be an easy in-and-out intel grab with Sam while Clint sat in his perch to play lookout. We hadn't expected more than the normal security around the perimeter, but the information we were fed was faulty and we barely escaped with our lives.
Clint called for backup and Tony blasted over, always the hero. They easily found Sam, unconscious in the hallway, but I was more difficult to find, lying in a pool of my own blood in a holding cell.
I don't remember much from the next few days, but I do remember you. We weren't friends by any means, but we had become friendly since that day in the hall outside the med bay. You wouldn't admit that you saw me as anything more than an annoying mortal, and I would have denied it wholeheartedly if someone had mentioned our bond, but silently something was there.
In the operating room, they'd given me a blood transfusion and set a fractured wrist. Three ribs were broken and a bruised lung. Highly sedated, I heard you there, pissing off the medical staff with your continuous questions and assumption of their inadequacy.
When I finally awoke from the sedated haze, the room was dark, the only sound a pulsing beep from the heart monitor. You weren't there–not in the room, not in the tower, not even in the country. I didn't learn until much much later that you and Thor had gone to Istanbul and destroyed everyone and everything in that compound.
You should have told me back then how you felt, what you thought, what you wanted (did you even know back then?). I know you were only trying to protect me, but we could have had so much more time together if you had.

Horizontal Bingo: On A Boat

Loki insisted you wear a sundress for the ride to the island.
And no underwear. He sat you on his cock as he steered the speedboat through the water. The undulation of the ride made his cock drive deeper. His hand dipped under your skirt to play over your clit bringing you to the edge over and over again before pulling back. You were sure the boats you had passed knew exactly what was going on, but you didn’t care as Loki’s breathing grew labored in your ear. He teased until you reached your destination, arriving both hungry and desperate.

The Situation
Pairing: Loki x Fem!Reader
Plot:
A little foodgasm turns into a long-awaited confession. (Not much of a plot, really. Just some lazy writing.)
Warnings: Fluff, silly writing
Read time: ~9 mins
Tumblr media
It was the weekend. As was her routine for weekends, (Y/N) woke up late and dragged her feet into the kitchen to get breakfast. Just as she had expected, everyone else had gone about their business, leaving the kitchen empty for her. Well, almost empty.
She found the God of Mischief gathering ingredients for his tea. Now, Mr. Mischief here had never tasted tea in Asgard but as soon as he “discovered” it, as he loved to put it, no one could step in between him and his favourite beverage. And, as one would expect, he was very particular about it. So, he was usually found preparing his own cup.
“Hey!” (Y/N) greeted Loki with a stifled yawn - one that ultimately wriggled its way out of her sleepy mouth.
“Lady (Y/N),” he gave a brief nod.
Loki loved the quietude of the weekends. Although there was hardly any difference between the days of the week in their profession, the team tried to get a glimpse of a normal life by allowing themselves certain well-deserved liberties whenever possible.
Now, the only other thing that Loki loved other than the calmness and the solitary reign in the kitchen was the quiet presence of (Y/N). There was something about her that he couldn’t really put a finger on but absolutely loved. He liked basking in her presence - that was all he knew, and he was satisfied with that, not wishing for anything more.
In the kitchen, he now observed her as her eyes wandered through the myriad of breakfast options, looking for something that would be delicious but would involve the least work.
Noticing her confusion, Loki offered to make her a cup of tea and a sandwich.
“I’d love that! Thank you!!” She chirped. “Actually, you do not need to go for all the stuffing for the sandwich. Just a spread will do.”
“Are you sure? It will not be a problem.”
“Absolutely! I simply lo…ove this!” She held a jar of Nutella in her hands.
Loki chuckled at her antics.
He was preparing tea, and slicing away the sides of the bread when he heard a moan from behind him.
What was that? Am I… Did I hear what I think I heard?
His eyes went wide, and body went rigid at the sound. Turning very slowly, he found her sitting on the other side of the kitchen counter, with the jar in one hand. The slow manner in which two chocolate-stained fingers were coming out of her mouth were no less than being pornographic. Her eyes were closed and her bottom lip was stained with chocolate.
As the chocolate spread over her tongue, a slight shiver ran through her. Another moan left her sealed lips.
Loki watched unabashedly as she dipped her fingers in the spread, and brought them to her mouth once more, licking them clean. Unaware of the reactions of his body, his own mouth opened slightly as he followed her actions.
The sharp whistle of the kettle brought both of them back to the real world with a jump. They stared at each other, unable to decide the right word or action.
Becoming suddenly aware of his “situation”, he swiftly turned his back towards her, and started fiddling with the slices of bread, his brain cells still trying to remember what he was doing with the food. The primary reason why he refused to meet her eyes was the slight discomfort in his sweatpants. And the way his mind was still reacting to her actions, he was unsure as to when he’d be able to face humanity again.
“I’m sorry,” she whispered.
It almost startled Loki. “Huh? Oh! No, no, it’s okay.”
“No, I am. It was...”
“Uncomfortable, I know, but-”
“Exactly! Everyone shares this jar. I shouldn’t have dipped my fingers in it like that. Shit!”
“What?” He almost turned but stopped himself before he faced her completely, and turned back to attend to the sandwich. And all this time, he thought that she noticed what she had done to him.
“Yeah, you know what? I’ll take this to my room. Will get a new one for the kitchen.”
Saying so, she hopped down from the stool, and moved to the sink to wash her hands.
“Let me help you,” she stood beside him.
Immediately, rather comically, Loki turned towards away from her. She looked at him with furrowed brows, trying to decipher the reason behind his weird behaviour.
“I...uh...You prepare the rest of the sandwich. I’ll be back in a minute.”
He didn’t trust his fate enough to walk to his room, lest he should bump into somebody on the way. Instead he chose to vanish into a green glow, leaving her with furrowed brows and with confused thoughts about what could have been wrong with him.
She spent all day wondering why Loki had been refusing to meet her eyes or why he refused to train with her and complied only when she pestered him with questions. Or why a hint of red crept up his ears during the training. She blamed the latter on the adrenaline but even then it felt weird to see the flamboyant god act like a newbie at school.
Guess he’s disgusted with my actions. Damn!
It was only in the quiet of the night, in the comforts of her bed, when her exhausted body decided to retire and the subconscious mind decided to bring all her suppressed thoughts to the forefront, that she remembered - with much embarrassment - the vocal expressions of her love for Nutella. It did not need her a second more to comprehend their impression on Loki. Or to realise what impression she might have created on him.
They might have been living under the same roof for over a year but their relationship had not developed more than two not-so-talkative friends. And, yes, she might be having a not-so-little crush on him, which made matters worse for her.
While she screamed into the pillow at her mortifying state, Loki lay awake, staring at the ceiling, wondering how to approach her and apologise for his unintentional “behaviour”.
It was as if the Universe was conspiring against (or maybe for) them, for the next morning, they again found themselves face-to-face in an otherwise empty kitchen.
“Good morning,” Loki nodded in her direction.
“Good morning, Loki,” she replied, calmer than usual.
Both walked around awkwardly, passing things to each other and getting into each other's paths like two people who had caught each other red-handed at the same crime scene but had their reputations to maintain.
“Uhh…”
“I, uh…”
They both stopped.
“Well, I-” Loki resumed, “I think I’ll go first… I am extremely sorry for my behaviour. I should not have… Well, it just happened, and I…” He took a deep breath. “I hope you will be able to forgive me.”
“I’m sorry as well,” she smiled sheepishly. “I did not realise at first but later I understood how… well, obscene… it sounded… But it’s okay. I don’t think you should apologise for behaving awkwardly. I mean, had I been in your place, I would have probably laughed at myself and tried to avoid myself all day.”
Loki was confused. That wasn’t why he apologised. Did that mean she had no idea why he had to teleport to his room? Oh!
This newfound realisation gave him the confidence that had slipped away before her.
“I mean,” she was babbling, “sometimes I get carried away. I’m over-animated most of the time. And sometimes I just… Ugh! That was so embarrassing! I don’t think I’ll ever forget-”
“It was cute.”
“Huh?” The trickster’s words put a sudden halt to her train of words.
“I think it was cute. It was… different. You express yourself in a different way. It is… impressive, I would say.”
“Oh. I- Well… Thank you?”
“Thank you,” he replied, “for trusting me enough to let yourself go in my presence.”
“Of course, I trust you! I trust you with my life!... I mean, we are partners, right?”
The god of lies could see through her masquerade. There was more to it than she was revealing.
“Is it only because we are partners?” His perceiving eyes and signature smirk now cut through her like a dagger.
“Uh… we have been living together- I mean, under the same roof for pretty long now. Of course, I would trust you with everything.”
“Everything?”
“Y-yes. Almost. Why n-not?”
He remained quiet for a while. His probing eyes and silent smile was killing her. She kept on praying that her flustered state may somehow be veiled from the god of mischief. As if the day before wasn’t enough, she was now on the brink of spilling her feelings to him.
Finally, he said, “I am grateful. Thank you!”
Sending him a relieved smile, she was just about to leave the kitchen when Loki asked her to stop.
“I have a gift for you,” he said, “as a token of my gratitude… Since you love this Midgardian dessert so much, I think it is only fair that you have one that reminds you of me every time you have it.”
A jar of Nutella appeared amidst a green glow on his palm. The smile on his lips was genuine but she could very well read the mischief written in his eyes. Her heart was doing somersaults as she took it from him.
What did he even mean? Was it an innuendo? Is he hitting on me? Oh God!! Is he hitting on me? Wait, does he think of me as a slut? Shit!! All those stupid noises! He definitely thinks I’m a slut! No!!
“(Y/N),” Loki’s deep voice pulled her away from her mental debate. “You are a nice woman, a very beautiful, kind and good person. Do not let anybody think of you otherwise. So,” he stepped a couple of steps forward, “never make those beautiful sounds again in front of anybody… unless it is before me.”
He rasped the last few words in her ear, sending shivers through every corner of her body.
“You are safe with me. I will always take care of you. In every way. Only. You.”
Loki looked into her eyes before leaving the kitchen with his cup of tea. (Y/N), on the other hand, leaned against the counter, her neck and ear sizzling from his breath, her body limp from his words.
Any shred of doubt that she had, had evaporated. She had finally realised.
“Oh my god!!”

The weird thing is, that situation with Nutella is an absolutely real incident that (ahem) I had created. It was during the lockdown, I was enjoying the delicious made-in-heaven spread in EXACTLY the same way as described, only to realise (around 10 mins later) that I was leaning against an open window. And there are other apartments close by.

Getting through the winter
Tumblr media
Summary Loki notices that something is amiss with you. With a little help from Natasha he makes it his mission to cheer you up, while battling with his own anxieties in the process.
Word count 2.640 words
Genre Angsty, fluff
A/N: A little different than what I usually witte. Hope you guys still like it!
Getting through the winter When he entered the living room he didn’t see your presence there. He did see Natasha on her phone, but that wasn’t the person he wanted to see. He casually walked to an empty chair, sitting down and looking around. He opened his book and pretended to read. His mind was occupied elsewhere. After looking for you at the library, kitchen, training room, game room and now living room, he still hadn’t found any sign of you. You weren’t on a mission and he had knocked on your bedroom door early in the morning, but he didn’t hear a sign of life on the other end.
It was almost 11 o’clock in the morning. He was trying to recollect if you had gone out yesterday evening and maybe would be back late. But you weren’t your usual self for the last two weeks and he had noticed that you barely interacted with anyone. Which was unlike you.
He wouldn’t go as far to admit it, but he was starting to miss you. Normally, the two of you would be in the living room together in the morning. Getting up around the same time, you a little earlier than him. He would walk in, see you on the couch, reading the newspaper of that day, with a cup of coffee. After the first week that he was ‘part of the team’ and this event had occurred, you had put out an extra cup of coffee. To his surprise, you had never offered it to him, you had never even mentioned that it was for him, but he could only assume it was. Since there was nobody else around or even awake. So, he sat down next to you, started to read his book, and sipped on the coffee.
‘You’re welcome’ you had said after a while.
He only replied with a grunt.
Little by little, you started to engage conversation in the early mornings. And to his regret it took a lot longer than was necessary, but the two of you ended up as friends. Good friends, maybe even his best friend. It was something about your bubbly personality, the way you ignored all his attempts to push you away at first, how you were endlessly patient with him and always made sure that he felt included. It attracted him. More than he cared to show. But somehow he thought you already knew how much you really meant to him.
But he hadn’t seen you for that morning ritual for the last week and a half. After a few mornings he had even made a cup of coffee for you, as if that would summon you, still he had to try. But you never showed. Today was the first time he had knocked on your door in the early morning, no answer. He couldn’t figure out where you were, and his anxiety that you were avoiding him was starting to settle in. That, and his concern that something had happened. Something bad. It popped up in his head that maybe you had a boyfriend, and that the reason he didn’t see you until midday, was that you were in bed with him. That thought bothered him more than it should.
‘She’s still in bed’ Natasha suddenly said without looking up from her screen.
‘I beg your pardon?’ he replied.
She looked up from her screen, a little smirk across her face. From all the teammates he had, she was the only one he had to challenged him in that way. And while it was the most annoying thing, he also respected that she could keep up. ‘(Y/N), she is still in bed. Has been for the last mornings’ she answered.
‘So? Why tell me?’ he tried.
Rolling her eyes he gave her a murderous look. ‘(Y/N) always struggles in the winter. It has something to do with the lack of light, the cold. It’s called winter depression. And since most of the team has left a few days ago, it’s harder for her’
‘Oh’ was all he said.
He went back to his books, but couldn’t concentrate on the words. He was analysing every word Natasha had just told him. Trying to understand. Trying not to be hurt by he fact that he was all that you were struggling with, lack of light and cold. In his absent mind he started to fiddle with he corner of the page. Once he noticed he had folded the corner, he tried to straighten it. Aggressively trying to fix the page back in shape, as if that would help you.
‘So?’ Natasha said.
‘What?’
‘Aren’t you go run towards her? Trying to cheer her up?’ she said. The smirk was back on her face again.
‘And why would I do that?’
‘I know all about your morning rituals, she actually cares a lot about you. And the fact that you show up every morning tell me enough. Besides, you are a prince. I would expect it for you to play prince charming’ she explained.
She was right. For a moment he contemplated to stay seated and trying to casually bump into you this evening. Not giving Natasha the satisfaction that her assessment was right. But he needed to know that you were alright, even if he embodied everything you hated at the moment.
He got up, and walked away. Rolling his eyes at the smirk that was still plastered on her face. Before he left, he turned around.
‘Oh, by the way. Say hi to Banner when you see him tonight’ now it was his turn to look smug while he noticed the slight shock on her face.
He quickly made his way through your room. When he knocked on the door, you still didn’t answer. He knocked again, but still no sign of life. He was growing impatient. He needed to do something. He tried the doorhandle, but it was locked. He was impatiently pacing around in the hallway. And while it was a high risk for him to take, he decided to teleport in your room.
His eyes needed a minute to adjust to the dark. The curtains were still shut, making the room almost pitch black. His gaze was fixed on you. You laid curled up, blankets clutching in your hands while most of it was trapped between your legs. By the way you were breathing slowly he knew you were asleep. Feeling like he overstepped, he teleported back to the hallway.
Walking back to Natasha, he hated what he was about to do.
‘I need your help’ he almost spat, but restrained himself.
‘What do you want?’ she narrowed her eyes at you.
‘How do you fix winter depression?’ he asked.
‘Just google it, I don’t know’ she shrugged.
He awkwardly stood still in front of her. He hated when they used terms he didn’t understand. ‘I’ll show you’ she finally said. And he was glad that he didn’t have to ask for help again.
To his surprise, Natasha actually was helpful. She even helped him set up. After they were done she said that she was going out with Banner, apparently now that she knew he knew, she just admitted it. He liked that kind of honesty about her. Right before she left, he decided that he might try with her.
‘Natasha?’ he said. She turned around, looking a little confused at him. ‘Thanks’ he barely could make audible. But she smiled and nodded at him before she left.
Now all he needed was you.
‘(Y/N)’ he said quite loud on the other side of the door. He was relieved to hear some stumbling going on. You opened the door a just enough so he could see your face.
‘Yeah?’ the vulnerability in your voice broke his heart.
‘I made snacks and you need to eat’ he said.
‘I didn’t know you could cook?’ you sceptically asked.
‘All right, Natasha made snacks and you need to eat’ he replied. ‘Come, I’m not taking no for an answer. I haven’t seen you all day’ he sounded stern but shot you a smile, knowing that it was a friendly scolding.
‘She made your favourites’ he added.
‘Fine, I’ll go change’ you smiled, but he noticed it didn’t quite reach your eyes.
Loki nervously waited in the living room. He was wondering if he did the right thing. Maybe you would be mad at him. Bu he needed to do something. He just prayed to the Norns that it would cheer you up, even if it was just slightly.
‘Oh my God’ his prayers were interrupted by your gasp.
You looked in total awe at the lightbulb strings that covered the entire living room. The normal lightning was switched off, adding to a cosy ambiance. Loki had spread out all the food on the coffee table in front of the couch. He had prepared all you favourite snacks, from devilled eggs, to different kind of cheeses, to nachos, chocolates and popcorn.
Next to the food he had multiple DVDs stacked on top of each other. He had chosen all comedies in the hope to hear you laugh tonight. He asked what you wanted to drink and went to the kitchen to get it. When he got back he was relieved to see that you had already taken a place on the couch. Wrapped up in a blanket with a plate of different snacks.
‘This is amazing’ you smiled at him.
‘Glad you like it, what do you want to watch?’ he asked.
‘Oh, just pick whatever’ you answered.
Not wanting to make the final choose he let you choose between two DVDs he selected. He put on the movie and to his surprise, you offered him the other half of the blanket. You sat the plate of food between you guys and nestled in to watch the movie.
While you seemed to relax, Loki grew more anxious. He had already put an arm on the back of the couch, wondering if he could slide it down your shoulder and tug you closer towards him. If that would comfort you, if that would upset you.
That’s when he heard you laugh. You had your attention with he movie, Loki hadn’t. But it didn’t matter, he could hear you laugh all night and it would be one of the best nights of his life. During he movie he tried to pay attention, but he shifted his focus to you now and then. When you laughed your whole face lit up, and it was hypnotizing for him to watch.
During the movie he noticed that you started to lean into his chest little by little. Loki’s whole body felt like it was on fire. But he had to remember, you didn’t like winter. You didn’t like darkness, you didn’t like cold, you couldn’t possibly like him.
The movie had come to an end. And you stretched yourself out. ‘So ehm.., do you want to watch another movie or play a game or something?’ you asked. ‘Oh it started to snow!’ you excited exclaimed.
You quickly shot up and walked towards the window. Loki missed your warmth, but was also quite confused about your reaction to snow.
‘Come on!’ you said. You grabbed his hand and pulled him off of the couch. He sheepishly followed you to balcony.  You stood outside, without a jacket, watching over the skyline of New York, while it was snowing.
‘What? I thought..’ he started but was at a lost for words.
‘What’s wrong?’ you asked.
‘I thought you hated winter, cold, darkness and everything?’
‘Who told you that?’ you asked.
‘Isn’t that what winter depression is?’ he was properly confused at the moment.
‘No, that’s not exactly. I do like winter. It’s just, daylight is so short these days. It messes up my rhythm, I don’t feel as energetic, I feel tired and a little sad. I just want to curl up and cuddle with a blanket, or someone’ you blushed a little.
‘Oh, I thought.. oh never mind’ he answered. Realizing he might have been jumping to conclusions about you hating everything he was. And wondering how he could even think that you did for a second. It wasn’t in your nature, it wasn’t you.
The two of you talked on the balcony in the snow. Loki wasn’t bothered by the cold, but he saw you starting to shiver a little. He conjured up a large blanket that draped around his shoulders. He moved behind you, grabbed the corners of the blanket and put his arms and the blanket around you as well. It was risky, but he couldn’t restrain himself any longer.
‘Thank you, this is nice’ you whispered.
‘I missed you in the mornings’ he whispered back.
‘I’m sorry. Getting up in the morning while it is still pitch black is quite difficult for me’
‘I can come and get you in the morning, if you want that is of course. Maybe we can go for a walk when the sun is getting up after that?’ Loki proposed.
‘I’d like that’ you said.
You turned around in his embrace, so you could face him. ‘I can’t thank you enough for cheering me up tonight. It gets harder when everyone is away’ you said.
Before he could respond he felt your soft lips press against his. The kiss was innocent and quick, you were blushing heavily and crept a little closer against his chest. ‘I think this winter with you won’t be so bad’ you said.
‘I’m glad I can be of service, darling. But now I insist you come back inside with me. Because, I can feel you shivering even under a blanket. I’m going to make you some hot chocolate’ he said.
‘Do you even know how to make hot chocolate?’ you asked.
‘I’m going to watch you make us some hot chocolate, but I get to decide how much whipped cream and marshmallow go on top. In return, you can pick the next movie’ he smirked.
‘Deal’ you said.
You had fallen asleep on his chest during the second movie. The movie had ended a long time ago, but Loki didn’t dare to move an inch. He was reading a book and glancing back to ensure you were still sleeping peacefully. He couldn’t believe his luck tonight.
He was startled when Natasha and Bruce entered the living room. Bruce was clearly surprised by the scene that was in front of him. If Natasha was shocked, she didn’t show it. She just nodded Bruce to move along. With one quick glance at Loki, he nodded at her and walked away.
‘I didn’t think you would turn so soft so soon’ Natasha said teasingly.
Loki couldn’t be bothered by the teasing with you in his arms. ‘She is the only exception, I can assure you’
‘Good, I like the two of you together. She has been chatting my ears off about how she likes you’ she said.
‘What? You knew? Why didn’t you tell me?’
‘Would you have believed me if I did?’ she asked.
‘That’s fair’ he said.
‘You know, she is a very deep sleeper. If you want you can carry her to bed. She won’t wake’
He looked down at you, and he knew that he could have carried you to bed and hour ago. ‘Just five more minutes’ he said. He wanted to savour every minute of you laying against him. ‘And thanks again, properly this time. I hope I can return the favour one day’
‘Yeah, I don’t think you and Bruce are quite a good fit yet. But who knows, maybe somewhere in the future. Anyway, you’re welcome and good night Loki’ she smiled.
‘Good night, indeed’ he said while he kissed the top of you head.

Letters
Part 3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Writing everything down should help you process your feelings. Somehow it always turns into letters to him.
Warnings: Grief, angst, eventual smut.
Feb. 23
Time since you've left doesn't pass like it used to. I find myself staring out, my vision blurred at moments–grains of sand, waves crashing in, the starry night sky–spans of seconds and hours feel the same. Everything now overlaps, past with present, like a palimpsest, everywhere I look traces of you remain. You're like a ghost that haunts me and I ache for one of those visions to be real.
Are you still out there, somewhere in the vastness in front of me? I've heard the stories of your multiple deaths, only to come back again somehow. Is this another trick? Sometimes I feel like I'm going insane.
Fingertips drew lines in the sand, making patterns that would soon wash away with the tide. The cool breeze was welcomed as the sun dipped into the horizon, waiting until you could count the stars again, search for a planet (maybe two). He once told you how many different planets he had been to in his lifetime, at the time you were only half listening while studying for a mission. Did he say 200? Or was it closer to three?
As the sun's last rays passed below the curvature of the earth and the stars began to appear, it brought you back to your last mission with him. The Quinjet flew in stealth mode at dusk, and the team would arrive in Lichtenstein by nightfall.
The mission would take a few days, first surveillance and then infiltration. A hotel room was booked for you and Loki under the cover of a traveling couple.
It was cold when you arrived, the wind biting through your layers. Loki had changed appearances, donning a dark cropped haircut and a pristine suit. When he emerged from the Quinjet, he held his arm out. "Ready darling?"
Tucking a red strand of hair from the wig you wore behind your ear, you took his arm. A private car waited on the tarmac to take you to the hotel where you'd set up surveillance.
The hotel room was large, a living area, kitchenette, and a luscious separate bedroom adorned with fluffy pillows and blush roses. Sleeping arrangements ignored, you focused on setting up the surveillance, preparing for the long night ahead.
Time passed by slowly while watching with long lenses from the window, earpieces to pick up anything unusual. Loki stretched in the hard wooden chair, exasperated. "This is it, this is how I'm going to die."
You side eyed him from the surveillance lense. So dramatic. "Is this work below the means of a god?"
"I thought when they requested my skills, it would be for fighting and deception. Not whatever this is," he said, waving his hand in front of the window. "Please, regale me with tales of your life. Anything would be livelier than this!"
"I'm flattered you think my life story would be slightly less dull than this. But, I thought you already knew everything when you invaded my mind…" you said flatly, pausing to listen in on your headphones and take notes.
He pursed his lips and studied you. Adorable, trying to ignore him.
"Despite what you think, I barely touched the surface." He propped his legs up on the table in a flourish, head cradled in his hands. "Please, how is it that you've never allowed a man or woman to experience you so intimately? Do you…not have that desire?"
The clicking of keystrokes on the laptop were the only sound for a moment, focusing on a steady breath as your cheeks warmed. He wouldn't get the satisfaction of making you cringe, pressing your tongue to the roof of your mouth. "I doubt you would understand," you said flatly.
His lips turned up in amusement, it was evident without even looking up. "Because I'm a god? Or because I'm ravishing?"
The look you gave him was less annoyed, more matter of fact. "Because I haven't found anyone that matters enough."
There was no snarky comeback, no witty retort. Had you finally silenced him for the night? You turned back to the work and attempted to focus again, the hairs on your arm standing up as you felt his stare heavy upon you.
Did you have desires…what kind of question was that? Of course you had them. But it was hard to hold onto them when everyone either disappointed you or left. Your heart was secured in an impenetrable fortress. For your own protection.
It was hours into the night when exhaustion started to weigh in, fighting the oncoming yawns and eye strain. Loki watched as you rubbed your eyes, trying to shake the need for rest. "Go lie down for a bit," he offered. "I can handle this for a few hours."
He noticed the hesitation. This mission was your baby. It was important. You continued to type up notes, another yawn, eyes straining. Your fingers stilled when the warmth of his palm rested on your wrist. He wasn't one to touch you often, and the sudden contact was a jolt to your senses.
"You need your energy for tomorrow." He spoke your name and your eyes traveled from where his hand stilled, up to his own eyes lingering above. The silence was palpable. Swallowing, you nodded and stood, only allowing an inch of space in front of him. His questioning gaze turned your stomach in knots and a nervous, tired smile crept up your face, giving a quiet thanks and slinking past him to the bedroom alone.
March 9
When it's dark and quiet and the world is still, my thoughts drift to you. It reminds me of that first night in Lichtenstein, laying in bed and you just on the other side of the closed door. Did you think about coming in that night?
I wasn't lying when I told you I hadn't found anyone that mattered enough. But I also hadn't felt someone look at me like you did. My body reacted in a way that wasn't normal. It made me confused. Uncomfortable. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed when you didn't come in that night. Instead, I was invaded by sunlight in the morning, well rested and ready for the green light to infiltrate that night.
It was a black tie event, which you took to with ease in a sharp suit and slicked hair. Even though you could dress with the flick of the wrist, you fiddled with your cufflinks when I emerged from the room, pausing to give a very obvious one-over.
And when I twirled around and asked what you thought, you gave me one word. "Ravishing." The choice of word wasn't lost on me.
Loki had turned, moving with a determined pace like a wild animal in hunt of prey. Frozen in place, his abrupt movement left you transfixed.
The crackling on your earpiece made you jump and Loki stilled, close enough to feel him near you, but not enough that he would step back. "Alright team," the voice in your earpiece said. "We are T-minus 30 for all positions in place. Do you copy? Over."
You quickly reached to your earpiece and copied, like a child being caught with their hand in the cookie jar. But Loki was much slower, enjoying how you almost squirmed under his gaze. "Copy," he said, his eyes never breaking yours, then to you, "Are you ready to play?"
The event, a charity ball for high profile elites and government officials, was held in a 13th century castle overlooking a lake. Ancient stone walls, moss covered bridges, candle lit chandeliers–if you weren't on a mission, you'd think this was quite a romantic night.
The mission was complex–accessing an official's credentials via their fingerprint and facial recognition, Loki would need to get in close to the subject before he'd be able to use his magic to mimic. After bypassing security, you'd access a main database on the locations of children who were kidnapped and currently being prodded and tested into becoming super soldiers.
A glass of red wine held, you mingled through the crowd with Loki by your side, speaking under your breath before taking a sip. "Mr. X just rounded the corner of the north pillar. You have your eyes on him?"
"On him. Give me two minutes."
You resisted the urge to comment on the amount of time he needed, it was too obvious. Taking a last sip of wine, you slipped through the crowd, down a hallway as Loki spoke into your earpiece. "Got it. Ready?"
You turned a corner and there he was, no longer Loki, but Mr. X, leading the way to an upper room, the door secured by an intricate security system that he unlocked swiftly with a retina and fingerprint scanner. Inside was a vault. You methodically turned the dial, listening to the clicks of the internal locking system. When a portal door emerged, Loki pulled a key from his pocket dimension and presented it to you. "Would you like to do the honors?"
The key slipped in, turning until the door released. Your heart palpitated when the door opened, knowing you were one step closer. Loki grabbed the flash drives, the hard drives, the papers, stuffed into the inside breast jacket pocket. It was difficult to hide your smile, that feeling of accomplishment, and then your attention pulled toward the shouts and footfalls coming toward you.
"Shit," you mumbled, feeling naked without your katana by your side, but it was hard to hide a 28 inch blade within the form hugging dress.
Rushing out of the vault, you followed behind as Loki turned to the left away from the commotion, trying every door down the hall, but they were all locked. Another corner, another hallway, down a stairwell, through the door and back to the crowded party. Your steps slowed while weaving through the crowd, keeping a low profile.
You grabbed a champagne flute, he grabbed your hand, going deeper into the room. He spun you to face him, pulled your hand up to his neck. The abrupt action startled you and he gave an entertained smirk.
"Smile darling, we're putting on a show," he whispered in your ear. Your lips turned up as your pulse raced. "Now, glance behind me and tell me how many there are."
You gave him the details, ten in all that you could spot and their exact locations. The two of you could handle them all fairly well, but any weapons they had might make it more difficult for you.
"Alright," he whispered, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. "I want you to take this and head to the entrance. I'll be right behind you. If I notice you are drawing any attention, I'll divert them." He placed the smaller flashdrive in your palm and nudged you away. Head down, heart pounding, you counted the steps toward the exit. You could make it in two minutes. Right, left, right, left. Your eyes went up to two security guards on your right, neither looking at you. It was working, you'd be able to slip by. Sixty seconds. A security guard leaned to listen into their shouldered mic, and then his eyes looked up directly at you. You bent your head back down, turning slightly to glance behind you. Where did he go?
The security guard took a step forward in your direction at a determined pace. And then, behind you, commotion, a glass breaking, a woman screaming, the security guard running right past you, and you were 30 seconds to the exit. You'd make it out. Loki would be fine, he was a god you reminded yourself, he could take care of himself. And yet–fifteen seconds–you turned back and saw him fighting so many of them all at once. You had not been trained to slink away in the shadows to leave a teammate behind, it wasn't who you were.
Loki had dragged the flight out to the balcony overlooking the vast icy lake. He'd pulled his daggers from his pocket dimension, a wicked smile on his face as he fought off the pathetic mortals. They were no match for him. But behind him, you saw one with a baton and a taser at the end. Turn around Loki, watch your back. He was too focused on the three in front of him. Your legs took action before your brain could process, sprinting outside. Lurching at the larger man in a moment and wrapping your legs around his neck, he flipped to the ground with a hard thud. Loki turned to see you hit the ground, his jaw clenched. "What? I can't let you have all the fun."
He grasped you by the arm to help you up. "I recall telling you to go."
You grabbed the baton from the downed man and smiled up at Loki. "Guess I'm a bad listener."
He huffed, turning to fight two men in front of him, while you used the baton like your katana, knocking three men out while Loki easily handled himself, and you smiled to yourself. For some reason you and he made a good team.
Loki turned, feeling your eyes on him, and then a look of panic washed over him as Mr. X stood behind you, gun pointing at your head.
"Enough of this! Drop your weapons." His voice was authoritative. "Now!"
You dropped the baton, giving a small nod to Loki as the daggers clattered to the ground. "On your knees."
Loki rolled his eyes in annoyance, a guard shoving him to the ground. "You too little missy."
Hands by your head, you turned slightly to look back at the man holding the pistol at your temple, sizing him up. He was tall and wiry, he knew how to handle a gun, but not as well as you. In seconds, your hands were on his, first making him drop the gun to the ground, second to flip your body onto his. His balance lost in the surprise commotion, he flailed in an attempt to get you off of him, going toward the balcony railing to fling you off. But if you were going over, he was coming with you. The last thing you heard before your body hit the icy waters below was your name from Loki's lips.

“How should I do this, pet? Ropes, leather, handcuffs? No, I know.”
Suddenly, you are bent over a chaise, hands bound to the sides by delicate chains, toes barely brushing the floor, and ass perfectly presented to him.
“Beautiful,” Loki rubs over your ass. He teases you, playing to your passions until you’re dripping with need.
“Desperate for me, my pet?”
“Yes!”
His hips slam forward, fucking into you quick and hard. He hits that spot inside perfectly and you scream with your release.
“That’s going to be the easiest one. I plan to take my time for the rest.”
