i need it so much, man. Loki deserves the soft compassion of being carried like a child because he never was a child. And like. Grrr. He had a shit childhood, and hes still canonically in his 20's like, 21-24 range in midgardian years. (Some people say hed be more like 17 but i believe thats less true but im dumb so, take with several grains of salt)

Thats pretty fucking young to "die" two or three times! Thats pretty young to loose both your parents, find out you were kidnapped as a baby and deal with everything else! and loki was raised as a prince. Hes shown to have been butting heads with thor always, especially when it comes to the rights of the throne. and so, logically speaking,

he would be trying way too fucking hard, from way too early on, to try and beat someone to a throne he would never even be able to get! so hed just be trying and trying and trying forever for nothing! do ya think theres time for childhood despite that?

HELL FUCKING NAH. he thinks grapes and nuts are desserts! This man, has no sense of what it means to be a kid. He thinks trust is exclusively for children, he said that!

i sincerely doubt, loki has been held, like properly held, in a thousand years! Witch is most of his life considering he's ball-parking 1057-1070 years old!

he needs to be held. He needs to be shown the warmth and compassion that one would give to a child. To someone that they really fucking adore.

he needs to be held by mobius, thank you and goodnight.

While I do feel Thor should have insecurities about Frigga preferring the adopted son over himself it’s a given presumption that his involvement with Odin overshadows that largely enough for it to not be mentioned much. But it shouldn’t be unless Thor doesn’t respect his mother at all.

#This is why Thor has daddy issues while Loki has mommy issues #with minor well-balanced inclusions permitted of course <4 #like sure Loki wanted Odin’s approval in Thor 1 but the blame of that itself was partially on Frigga #she didn’t handle the conversation with Loki well and perpetuated the idea that he needs to *make* them proud through his actions #because proving your worth is exactly what should be on the mind #like yeah you’d better make your father happy with you :/ sweetie :\#and then Thor who hardly interacts with Frigga too but his interactions are more. I feel Frigga constantly wants something #she speaks to Loki and is trying to get blame off herself and she speaks to Thor like he doesn’t know anything #so Thor should hurt about his parents too I think and it should be the inverse of how Loki sees Thor as a symbol for the favouritism/throne #Thor should look at his mother and wonder what made the adopted son worth more to her #not because he doesn’t consider Loki his brother but because why does she consider Loki her son #xx

I feel like Loki would be the best person to talk to about your daddy or mommy issues. Since Odin didn't treat him well and he developed daddy issues himself, he's extremely understanding and he doesn't need to ask questions to know what's wrong. He just know it. And he will try his best to comfort you.

Actually, your parent issues is what got you closer to each other.

You were sitting on the edge of the Bifrost, trying to put yourself together after another argument with your parents when you heard his soft voice behind you.

"What are you doing here?"

You turned your face to look at him, your eyes still red and a little bit swollen after crying session you just brought yourself out of.

"My parents... Again."

You didn't have to say more. He noded then walked closer to sit next to you. Since he wasn't so good at comforting people, he just put an arm around you and let you rest your head on his shoulder.

"I understand." were the only words that escaped his mouth as he gently soothes your back. You knew he really do, so instead of explaining things you just snuggled into his embrance while he was trying his best to give you comfort your parents never gave you. He knew this is what you need the most. "I'm here for you."

I bet he gives the best hugs in the whole world.
