I usually solve such issues in personal messages with the authors to give them the opportunity to simply apologize and not repeat their mistakes, but this situation has upset me a lot, because I wrote to you in the comments a few months ago, but you never answered me (your private messages are closed).

You steal my textures and call it your own, as well as sell it on your patreon without any permission and credits.

Let's start from the beginning.

Do I need to comment on something? She just took my skin n7, added a couple of details on face and called it her own. And she put it in early access on her patreon to make money on already free сс. She listed other authors in the credits and didn't mention anything about me.

Here she changed a bit more, but she used my skin's face as a base. And again, no mention of me in the credits.This time she didn't mention credits at all, but I see at least @obscurus-sims​ details.

And again, no difference. The textures are identical.

Honey, if a person wants to use my eyelids, he just uses it. There is no need to put my cc in early access again, which has been free for three years.

I want to say that I create my textures completely from scratch, without using EA blanks. Absolutely all the details on my skins are created by me. And as an artist, I can say with confidence that it is impossible to create a texture that will match someone else's pixel by pixel. It's impossible. Moreover, most of my textures are completely drawn by me. What refs from the Internet is she talking about? Did you take refs out of my head? By Bluetooth?

@nonvme you can still apologize and I won't hold a grudge against you. Just apologize and remove my textures from your page. If you had answered me a few months ago and corrected your mistakes, then I would not have written this post and would not have spoiled your reputation. But you didn't answer me.

I'm sorry that you all had to read so much text. I hope your day is going much better than mine.

Nonvme deleted CC that included my textures, and also promised not to use it anymore. It's enough for me to forget about this incident and don't contact patreon support.

I want to add that any author who makes his textures from scratch knows every pixel of his texture. The author of the original content will know if you have used his texture, even if you have somehow modified it. If you steal other people's textures and you haven't been caught yet, it only means that the author hasn't seen your page/cc yet, because he can't monitor the entire Internet. But one day he will find out about you, do not doubt.

Like. y'know that scene on indiana jones 1 where Indy and marion kiss for the first time after he just points the booboos and she kisses them? that but with AJ and rarity would be incredible lmao. i might not even do the anthros tho, just the pony versions would be cute. (also unlike marion rarity would flip if she was slept on lmao) I had this funny idea where Rarity invites AJ to a party but forgets to tell her its a party so applejack shows up with a sexy mechanic routine that they clearly have done before and embarasses herself and rarity when twilight opens the door and is like "um i need help reacting to something" I had this idea of D&D classes with an barbarian AJ and princess rarity where the group needs to escort the princess and well. This super pompous royal woman is getting a bit too into her big sweaty barbarian bodyguard lol. (and for the record twilight=wizard, Sunset=dark palladin, Rainbow=rogue, Fluttershy=druid, Pinkie=Bard) I literaly have a sketch with anthros of rarity in lingerie holding Applejack, who is kneeling, on a leash. i did a very very homoerotic sketch of vampire queen rarity and Applejack holding a stake to her. and shes letting. pinned on the floor. it's already on patreon (and what the horniest thing ive ever conceived is rarity licking AJs wounds while not being allowed bite her. damn.) Also absolutely will make a small comic of this part of the fanfic i wrote (havent posted yet tho im drawing chapter covers)

The State of Things Present

this post was available for patrons a week early! please consider supporting me over on patreon!

I kept trying to make this post fancier and better and more engaging, and then I realized I was doing that thing where I make myself too overwhelmed to actually finish and post it. The other thing was I kept gunning for a once-a-week posting, and uh… yeah that's not sustainable. So here we go!

The Ghost of Spacefarer Present appears before you He whispers, very quietly, yet in a voice that resonates: "Time to resurrect the Spacefarer"

Ok so the spacefarer (me??) was very tired, but he's awake now and doing things!

Life status

We moved! My wife and kids and I packed up and headed some miles south of our previous house. It was a risk for sure. We didn't know how things would pan out. We really needed to get away from our old environment, our old town, our old house. We loved that house, and we'd said so to each other many times even as we were halfheartedly searching for a new one. But at some point that house had become too burdened with bad memories and traumas, not to mention that after the pandemic, we had no more real roots there. Everyone had moved away, the communities we were involved with had disbanded or changed. And anyway, my wife would be starting a new teaching job down south.

We were fortunate enough to find a new house we loved, and fortunate enough to be in a position where we could actually make the move. I'm aware this is a privilege, given the economy and the market, and so I can only express my thankfulness and consider it a blessing, especially as we healed through our grief.

I have an improved office now! This is where I work on my day job (software/web dev) and my unday job (Studio Spacefarer). With my genetics stacked against me, but also with my desire to be able to keep up with my kids and be there for my family, I collected a standing desk, a walking pad treadmill thing, and an ergonomic keyboard. I'm walking or at least standing most of the day now, which has made a surprising difference already.

I was gonna post a wider view of the office, but my 3yo son ran up while I was taking pictures and started "working" (mashing the keypad), so this is automatically the better pic. Them's the rules.

Anyway, in short, we made it, and it hasn't been a smooth ride the entire time, but it has been well worth it. I've been able to get back into gamedev, which has been a huge boon to my mental health too.

Game status!

The good stuff. Here's where I'm at presently with Episode III!

The game is completable from start to end (definitely NOT feature complete)

Jumping, swimming, and dashing all work like a charm and are super fun

Three enemy types have been added, including custom A* pathfinding for the sea monster

Two new collection mechanics (one is heart containers, the other will be a small surprise)

Depth sorting and fake-3D, as mentioned previously, which lets me do lots of fun effects

Day/night are now on a new system, and cave darkness is now a thing (I tried to implement this in PD2 but couldn't figure it out)

Palette swapping for night and lighting effects now uses GameMaker's built in layer effects

Much of the game is now decorated

Updated the game's palette to be more pleasing

Better borderless windowed mode, frame toggling, etc. (I'd made a post about a third party plugin I used to do this previously, but not long after that, GameMaker added an official setting to be toggleable at runtime, so I switched to that… much easier lol)

New audio library which has been a MASSIVE boon (Juju's Vinyl)

New flexible debug/inspector mode which allows me to change values on the fly more easily

State machine rewrite using structs instead of data structures--extremely flexible and less  error-prone (in fact the data structures here were the #1 cause of crashes in Episodes I and II)

Save system rewrite, also using structs instead of data structures (thus fixing the #2 cause of crashes in the first two episodes)

Adjusted the way walls get displayed in interiors--will make a post on this later

Lots and lots and lots and lots of bug fixes

I'm not exactly sure how to wrap this up lol, but y'all can be encouraging me, if you have the emotional space to do so! There's still a lot left to do on PD3, and it can be very daunting at times.

Next post up will be looking forward to the future of Studio Spacefarer. I'm very excited about this! Keep an eye out!

Sorry about the lack of art recently, I've been so stressed that impostor syndrome set in and it nuked my ability to draw pretty bad ;-; That's kinda why I wrote so much over December, needed to do something creative that wasn't art for a bit.

"Best friends for life!" 👻📷😱

And so, after much delay, my newest longform comic series, "Friends on Another Side", has begun! It's a spooky-comedy slice of life about becoming friends with a ghost. Things get really weird from there. Believe me, it probably isn't going the place you expect, and it's gonna be fuuuuuuun :D

I wanted to release this comic much earlier in the year but I basically have two full-time jobs now, one of which being an actual day job and the other for much more private artwork. Spent the last few months trying to figure out my life/work balance as I've really wanted to return to release more regular artwork on this account for a while now, I'm so happy to get things started!

My planned release schedule is a new page every week, although I'm announcing a bit early as right, pages will be available a month early on Patreon! That's right, with me planning on restarting my activity here, I've also reactivated the No Signal Studio Patreon (link here)! I plan on reworking it over the next while to be less exclusively about Channel Mono and now more about my general art projects, including this comic, so if you wanna catch pages a month before I publicly release them, they're available for $5 (first new page is already up now!). I'll see if I can load it with other rewards at some point, depending on what the interest is like aha

Currently "Friends on Another Side" will be released both on this Tumblr as well as my alternate alias (if you know, you know). I'm also considering possibly posting on platforms like Webtoon or Tapas but I dunno if they'll let me literally post a page per week lol, so I'll let yall know if something comes up.

In the meantime while waiting for the pages to start releasing publicly (4 Fridays from now, that's Sept. 22 if my math is correct), I probably should be posting more around here, maybe some bits and pieces of stuff I've been up to for the last while that I'm alright with sharing here, haha. i wanted to ask whether you have any advice for writers that are just starting to publish. literally any modicum would be greatly appreciated.

it's really hard to assess whether one's writing is any good when literally no one ever reads it :( at the same time, I know I should write for myself first and foremost. can't help but want to be held accountable by the possibility of an audience, tho (maybe that's just my brain chemistry??) I fall into the pit of thinking "if no one's reading it, why am I even writing? I can daydream indefinitely and be satisfied. Why write?" Yet I always come back to writing; it's something magnetic.

it's not the same to ask close friends to read ur stuff bc they are ur friends, and may not give you the sincerity ur looking for so as to not discomfort u. conversely, they might not be interested enough so as to pick up on the fine details.

f/u question: how do you deal with publishing your work on the internet for free? does it ever scare you that strangers could copy and republish ur work without your knowing?

I guess that's one of my main apprehensions about posting loyally on writing platforms. I'm scared I'll write something I'm very proud of and have it plagiarized and not be able to track it back as my original property??

hiyaaa!! it's getting chilly, i won't lie, but other than that November has been pretty typical. likewise, i hope it's treating you well too!

honestly the fact you casually drop words like modicum probably suggests you're a paygrade above me in terms of writing hahaha

my answer is a long (srsly i just kept on going lmao) ramble, so I'll put a read more here haha

i've many lovely friends who i absolutely adore that I've met through writing that are now irls, but none of my friends that i know independently outside of writing have ever read my stuff - I've even got irl friends who are deep in the ao3 trenches, who are paying for other tannie writers' patreons, but we have an unspoken rule that my work is not to be read by them. i just don't let my friends read my work, full stop, so i get that sentiment.

the thing is, humans are naturally inclined to be storytellers - it's been that way for thousands of years. our tales are meant to be told. sharing is just a very human thing for us to do.

I've been publishing on wattpad (within the tannie space) for 4 years, now. readers didn't appear overnight - i actually recently found a screenshot of you up? from march 2021. it had 28 parts, 2.03k reads and 313 votes.

it now sits at 62 parts, 1.45million reads and 55k votes.

that's a little bit perspective for you, i guess - i'd written half of an entire novel that was averaging around 70 reads per chapter, but i loved that world, and i had story to tell, so i told it. some people viscerally hated it, some loved it. i was writing for me, and the numbers prove that. if you worry about the numbers, you'll never satisfied.

similarly, comparison is the thief of joy, or so they say.

comparing yourself to other writers is never healthy. there are far more 'successful' authors on wp in terms of reads, but i genuinely mean it when i say i think i have the most fulfilling and rewarding space on tannie wp because my readers are so unbelievably lovely. i wouldn't trade my current readership for bigger numbers, not a chance.

in terms of plagarism, there are 170,000 words in current use within the english language, and 36 plot types. we've exhausted a lot of them, already. overlap and similarities are bound to occur, so i try not get fixated on it.

take cv for example - i was so gassed up with myself when coining the terms mono and multi, only to find out after i'd finished writing the story that there was a drama with a similar concept that also used the term mono for a similar condition that aired after i'd already started writing cv. overlap happens.

similarly, we're a product of the media we consume. endeavour is my favourite word, because it was in a song i liked when i was a teenager and it stuck with me. i use it all the time, and we can trace it back to the pen of alex gaskarth lmao.

I've seen readers of mine publish work that's been heavily inspired by my work - with and without 'permission' - and i just sort of shrug my shoulders whenever i notice it.

the way i see it, we'll never tell the exact same story. likewise, no two readers will ever read identical texts the same way. i encourage creativity, and know how important it is for me to empty my brain, so I'll never go for someone's throat for doing the same. that's how myths were born, right? people telling and retelling the same stories over and over again? how am i gonna write a romeo & juliet x greek mythology inspired fic and then get annoyed for someone taking inspo from me?

just like the way hair will always grow back after a terrible cut, new words can always be written after a disappointing discovery. idk, i just don't take it very seriously, i guess.

as for whether or not your writing is any good - it's totally subjective. there are people who have explicitly, publicly stated their disdain for my writing. I've had cruel opinions about my writing projected and amplified to large followings. and it sucks.

but there are people who have been exceptionally kind about my writing, too. i get some of the loveliest messages in the world. there are tiktoks with hundreds of comments of just unadulterated loveliness directed towards my work. I'm afforded so much grace and love that it can be overwhelming at times.

not everything is for everyone, and that's okay. you can't let yourself get hung up on pleasing everyone.

the one thing i will say, is that if you're seriously concerned about your IP, write original characters, and use wattpad as your platform. i know they have a reputation, but they give a shit about copyright infringement and the second someone gets reported for plagiarism, they'll investigate it, and take down the story.

no reward without risk - you gotta decide if the risk of plagiarism is worth the reward of sharing your work.

and plus, ai is taking over anyways. may aswell write while we still can lol.

so i guess tl;dr - don't let outside influence impact your internal need to create. the right readers will find your work eventually, but it's not an overnight miracle kinda thing. if i stopped writing just because i didn't see results in my stats, then i would have stopped after kumiho, and we'd have never gotten throttle, or bd, or anything else of mine you might have read.

do it because you love it, and it fulfils you. i love the communities built around my stories, and that's why i share them. writing without sharing doesn't fulfil me in the same way.

okay i've really rambled too much so i'll leave it here, but i hope that helps a little!!! or at least has given you insight into my brain!!!!!!

1. What is the main lesson of your story (e.g. kindness, diversity, anti-war), and why did you choose it?

Do not destroy yourself for the sake of acceptance is always a really important point in stories for me as well as the importance of found family. Also final girls deserve a revenge arc.

2. What did you use as inspiration for your worldbuilding (like real-life cultures, animals, famous media, websites, etc.)?

Honestly a big inspiration point for The Scarlet Sacrament is that summer time is Too Damned Hot and I knew I wanted to place the Scarlet Sacrament in the winter so Im just, escaping into my imaginary winter tundra lol. The idea for the plot came to me during world building for another series based in my fantasy world Remquil when I realized I wanted vampires and werewolves in the setting so the Scarlet series is all about how Vampires were created.

3. What is your MC trying to achieve, and what are you, the writer, trying to achieve with them? Do you want to inspire others, teach forgiveness, help readers grow as a person?

Forgiveness is for CHUMPS Ahem, so for main character Isravys I want to have readers see her downfall and triumphs. I want people to feel like after something awful happens to them they should keep going. And the revenge catharsis.

4. How many chapters is your story going to have?

I am aiming for 30 chapters with and average of 3,000 words each

5. Is it fanfiction or original content? Where do you plan to post it?

Original content! The first draft will be posted on my Patreon weekly once I’ve finished outlining it

6. When and why did you start writing?

My chronic depression started showing up when I was six or seven and it was pretty isolating so writing and making art helped me deal with being alone so much.

RRRRR OK OK but ive only played the public demo so far i havent paid for the patreon/closed demo yet, so i have very little information about the Rosymance in general. info dump and stats below

Ellaria is the humorous / cheerful kinda Button, about 5'5", and she calls her brother Nick-Nack in the game but I imagine she will call him any random number of names off the top of her head (based off of when I played Fallout 4 and I would often call Nick any random nickname like Nicki Minaj, Nickle Pickle, Nickolodeon, Nickaroni and Cheese, etc lol). She has some insecurities because she compares herself to her brother a lot, but she tries to tough it out and beat up her bad thoughts bc she's an unstoppable optimist!!! Stubborn to a fault she refuses to back down once she sets her mind to something. Is a very nice person but gets very socially awkward in large groups, and sometimes lashes out when she gets frustrated by how fragile people treat her (the first thing that made her like Instructor Kim was that he didnt beat around the bush abt her zero but didnt treat her like a kid either!! shes like damn finally some respect around here)

Loves Nick so much (i got like a 160% relationship with him in the open demo lol) looks up to him like her personal hero + mentor. Loves her dad even though it's a little bit strained, has not seen or spoken to her mother in 4 or 5 years after The Incident(tm). but she misses her mom a lot she, she's half scared of her mom hurting her and half scared she will hurt her mom.

I chose the pre-prepared name Ella when I first started playing bc I didn't know what the game was about so I wasn't prepared to like.. make an OC for it until I decided I liked it enough lol. But I compromised by just naming her Ellaria and Ella is her nickname. Here are her stats by whatever chapter is the last one in the open demo (8 i think?)

I LOVE AMBROSE KIM... i played as bisexual in my first go as Ella so i had no idea the genders for some charas changed until I checked the Ambrose Kim tag on tumblr lol. but im way more into rosy as a man than as a woman... Mr Kim u can instruct me any day,..

Like I said tho I don't know a lot about the Rosy romance because I only played the open demo, and I know the author says his romance takes the longest to flower because of the whole teacher/student aspect so he's actively trying to NOT fall for button.. well too bad bitch I'm gonna be so respectable and hot he's gonna have no choice.

end of the year thoughts

I swear I made another blog post recently but it looks like the last one I made was at the end of march phew. Anyways, I hope everyone’s been having a stress-free holiday season, enjoying themselves and hanging in there. 

I’ve included a longer version below so that I don’t take up too much space on people’s dashboards (or TL? what do we call the feed on tumblr nowadays?) but the short of it all is that my wrist pain has improved significantly since my last post, I’m going to work on opening a patreon and doing a lot of art projects in the coming future!

I figure I should make a little update related to my last post (wrist pain/pinched nerve) I’m still waiting to see a doctor for a full evaluation LOL but I did manage to buy a secondhand cintiq, shoutout to the guy on FB marketplace who didn’t scam me, it’s been amazing to draw with and has seriously helped alleviate a majority of the pain in my wrist/hand. I’m honestly having so much fun drawing with it I can’t believe I deprived myself of this for so many years LOL. I’m still working on taking adequate breaks/rest periods and strengthening my wrist which I also think played a huge part in my recovery. Anyways, I definitely feel more confident in taking on work now that I can draw for more than an hour without pain or even just the mental energy drain being in pain causes, yay!!!

Soo with that being said I am going to be working really hard on new art, I have a lot of projects I want to do in the future. Primarily a lot of OC stuff but a few fandom related things as well. I had a dream once that I spent 300$ in gachaphon trying to get every single catboy kurapika merch so I think this is a sign that I have to make a lot of catboy kurapika merch. I also want to make some batman related stuff and experiment with some new product types 🥺 definitely want to participate in some more conventions, I never made a post reflecting on my time at Sakuracon and AX but I had an amazing experience at both (as good as it can be during the panini). If you came by and said hi or bought anything from me during these times thank you so much!!!! It was really nice to talk to people who enjoy my art or chat about fandom stuff 😳

Other than merch and fandom related products I think I also want to finally get my patreon up and running, though it will be very low stakes (one tier for the foreseeable future). I’ve definitely gone back and forth on this since I have a big fear about letting people down. It’ll most likely be used for posting up sketches, WIPs, I might ask for feedback on what I should draw next or give art feedback if requested? I’m not the most skilled artist but I think I’m capable of a suggestion or two :^)!! And yes the whole twitter thing has definitely contributed towards me trying to make a serious attempt at patreon again...

The last thing I wanna say is thaaatt I am going back to art school to hopefully get my BFA, I’m halfway there, yay!! I really hope to learn new techniques/skills and improve a lot, even just typing this out is giving me a lot of excitement for the future haha.

I never left, it's true that I don't use tumblr and I only post on Instagram mostly, and I had some time that it was impossible for me to work (In case you don't know I have a 2.5y/o toddler now, VERY intense and energetic daughter who I love so much but doesn't let me work or sleep much) but I'm always trying my best to keep creating.

I'm working on a fanficomic, a fanfic I wanted to write that I ended drawing as a comic, and I'm having so much fun with that.

I'm also not from USA, I'm from Barcelona. Let me do a little summary about patreon, so you can choose to support me there if you want/can. Patreon is a place where I can privately post for my patrons, the users who are supporting me in the platform. Right now I have 2 tiers that are equally, I left both because it was easier for my old patrons when I closed some tiers that had stickers and prints included. You can support me for $3 or 5$ or a custom amount, it doesn't need to be USA dollars, Patreon is international and uses also other currencies as Euros, Pounds and other or make the change for you to equally support me in your currency. Patreon is my ONLY income right now. I can't work full time with a toddler, I'm very grateful we can live as a family with my husband's help, but I want to continue my art carreer and hopefully, open a print shop and offer more content in the future, but right now Patreon is a way you all can support my work and get inmediate access to my comics, full and uncensored (there's some nsfw ones) and also to other illustrations, since 2006 to now. I have a masterlist where you can navigate a little with the stories, and I'm trying to upload better some comics that some patrons never saw before because I used to have a discord for that etc. Supporting me for 3$ a month you get access to all my content now, it's like, hey I like your content, let me invite you to a coffee and I show you my stuff.

Right now, my fanficomic is finished part 1 and part 2 and I'm working on the epilogue, which my patrons can read already complete. I'm currently posting part 2 on instagram, censored obviously, but on patreon is all ready to read and download in good quality for your personal use.

I'm talking maybe a little too much, but I wanted to be clear on my explanation, hopefully I did!

In any case, I have some Shamy and TBBT comics on queue to do, a personal comic in my mind that I want to draw someday and more ideas to do. My content is possible thanks to my patrons and I'm very gratefull that people chose to support me so I can keep creating.

Maledictorian [v1 prototype] — I've finally completed writing the bonus chapter! It earnestly took a good while as I ended up writing about 15,000 words for that chapter alone in order to account for branching amongst the three different love interests' routes. But this urban fantasy romance by Wisteria Realms now has both the three-chapter plot-focused demo and this character-building bonus chapter complete! Special thanks to our line editor, Allie Vera, for being a massive help. This story is for a younger New Adult audience that I do not typically write for, so I'm glad we have Allie's sharp pair of eyes and proximity to younger readers to help me stay sounding hip! (I promise it's working, lol)

I'm taking a break now after that achievement, but when I return, my first order of business is to go through and annotate each chapter with asset direction.

Drop Dead Daters — As part of the Quiet Days studio with Elm, our paranormal-woman-in-a-monster-escort-institute visual novel is picking back up. We've settled on initial character designs for the remaining three characters—the main monster love interests and your humanoid professor—and now I will be handling finer concept details and final sprite art after we inventory the poses and expressions from the minor characters in our completed script!

My Reflections

In January I was quiet as I worked to wrap up a number of things while adjusting to new medication. Thinking back, at the end of the day, I realized just how important it is to let your teams know where your head is, to give yourself more time and space to work on a task, to actively offer more achievable solutions, and to just keep everyone updated on progress. If you're doing great work and you're trying your best within a reasonable production timeline, a good team will accommodate you. I'm glad I recognized early when I was getting symptoms so that I could reach out and get help as soon as possible, letting the right people know what that would mean for me and my contributions until treatment started. Now a story and colorful art has come out if it!

its very small and brief for now but just so it doesnt get overwhelming im updating things a little bit at the time, but!!

monthly subscriptions are now available!!

you basically get two scribble drawing requests a month (which is a euro cheaper than it would be to buy commissions!!) and little sneak peek wips, previews, writing snippets and whatever other behind the scenes stuff i figure out before everyone else!

its not a lot, but its just to show support and give back a little bit to those who choose to sub. im not about hiding content behind a paywall (which is why i figured ko-fi works better for this than patreon actually cause ko-fi doesnt keep everything hidden forever so its perfect, its just a little incentive to get ppl to maybe sub to see little bit extra a bit earlier <3) so i just wanted to give something special that i might not post otherwise

i might add other things to this later, i dont want to make bigger tiers or anything tho but ko-fi gives you an option to sub for more than the set minimum so hey. if thats your jam i love you

anyways yeah so this is a thing now. if nobody subs, no big deal! it literally doesnt affect my current posting or creating, i post whatever i make over here still and over there as per usual, it might if someone does sub so i have to start saving and sharing mid-work things more frequently lol, but yeah. this is just in case someone feels like it, likes my stuff and wants to see a little bit extra - and wants to make sure they get art they'd love to see, as while i often do ask for scribble requests, i cant always guarantee them. this will do that tho

ehmm i don’t really do self-inserts or sonas, it’s kind of a complicated personal thing (and the reason my only ‘sona’ is a dumpy ugly bunny creature) but i guess the oc i relate to most is luka? i definitely project a lot of my own problems and insecurities onto him, but we’re not alike in personality or appearance lolol. i guess i could also say rookie (more of a twitter/patreon oc) but in the way that i make him the kind of person i’d like to be. i’ve tried self-inserts in the past but it’s not something that really resonates with me, especially with g/t stuff. i generally prefer to be an onlooker than imagine myself in situations like that.

i’ve been into g/t my whole life but was too shy to explore it and lurked for a long time. i only stopped caring because i was in a really bad depressive episode and was truly out of fucks to give, which probably isn’t a great answer, but that’s how it happened lolol. moral of the story: ignore your inhibitions long enough to just do it and let the momentum carry you from there

you’re probably asking the wrong person for writing tips tho, i don’t consider myself to be very good at it. i roleplayed a bit as a teenager and would occasionally write fics (i never shared them anywhere) and that’s the extent of my experience lolol. publishing anything creative is going to make you feel vulnerable, especially if you’re not used to it; it’s a very personal outlet of self expression, even if you’re not writing about your life story, it’s still a part of you and it’s scary to submit that to the sea of anonymous viewers. but the key a lot of creatives need to be reminded of is that you shouldn’t be writing/creating to please anyone else, you should be writing for yourself. make something you’d be a fan of. self-indulgence is a phenomenal feeling, cringe is subjective and fake. if posting it online is too daunting, then don’t post it. but if you feel that itch for others to know your story, then go for it. you might end up with this same ask in your inbox after an (almost) year of your account being active. you won’t know unless you try ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
