Did another mix of Lonette and Holli, this time actually trying to make Lonette look like Holli as much as possible. But with her hair loose! I think this has made me realize that even though they look very similar... I think Holli's face is prettier? If that makes sense. There's only very few subtle differences, but it's enough for me to think Holli is more attractive. Which I guess kinda is the point, all things considered xD

My thing has always been drawing hot cartoon ladies and that is mostly because I grew up in the 90's, when lots of hot babes inhabited some "children targeted" media without a care lol. So, to scape artblock back in 2020 I drew some of my favorite old time cartoon ladies, with bonus ladies from games and even music!
Here's a name list just for curiosity purposes:
Alice Angel from "Bendy And The Ink Machine"
Cala Maria from "Cuphead"
The iconic Betty Boop
Holly Would from "Cool World"
Lonette also from "Cool World"
Carmen Sandiego from "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego"
Jem from "Jem and the Holograms"
Jessica Rabbit from "Who Framed Roger Rabbit"
Kimberly from "Space Ace"
Princess Daphne from "Dragon's Lair"
Princess Yum Yum from "The Thief and The Cobbler/Arabian Knight"
Noodle from the band Gorillaz
Red from Tex Avery's cartoons

Cool World (1992)

Literally can never watch the Mighty Nein's infiltration of the Sanatorium without cracking up.
Just the pure comedy of Beau on the roof trying to figure out what method to use to kill the sleeping guard only to discover the method that she chose does not go fast.
The hilarity of Jester and Veth being absolutely horrified as Caleb just murders everyone.
Yasha just in her own world making a flower crown.
It's all SO good.

Honestly, Cool World had a lot of potenial to be a much deeper film than what we got. It could have been a metaphor about the dangers of an artist being so wrapped up in his own works that he looses sight of reality and the importance of what's in it.
Instead...we got one of the worst endings of a movie I've ever seen.
Not only that but SHE 👇 DESERVED BETTER

For years I've thought that Lonette and Holli Would had the exact same design just with different color palettes.
Well, today I decided I had to see if that was really true and from what I can tell... yeah, there's only a few differences. Outside of the obvious color differences (hair, eyes, makeup, clothes, etc.) then all I can really see is that Lonette's face is round and Holli's is... uh... heart-shaped? Not sure, but it's not round.
And of course their hairstyles are different. But their bodies are pretty much the same (Lonette's breasts look smaller than Holli's in this particular shot, but I promise you they're the same size as Holli's through most of the movie) and their eyes are very similar along with the exact same nose and lips. The mouth is placed a bit differently (Lonette's is lower down, but it isn't by much) and there's other tiny details like that, but honestly? If you want to have more Holli footage to edit with... use Lonette, make her blonde and blue-eyed, boom now it's Holli with a different hairstyle, makeup and clothes. Like, it could work! They're similar enough.
... I might have to try that myself some time xD
Also, sidenote: Why the hell does Holli look good in EVERYTHING??? Black Holli? Gorgeous. Ginger Holli? Adorable. Goth Holli? Hot. This woman can look good in everything, I swear xD

The Cotton Club (1984). Meet the jazz musicians, dancers, owner, and guests (like gangster Dutch Schultz) of The Cotton Club in 1928-1930s Harlem.
Man, but Francis Ford Coppola knows how to direct a musical. The plot of this one's a bit all over the place, but the sequences where he throws story to the wind and leans into the energy of performance and the pace of the music are some straight up movie magic. Also I kind of wish the entire movie had been about Gregory Hines and Lonette McKee's characters. 7/10.
