🏢💸🎾 Golden Pair CEO AU
Golden Pair might not be the first ones you think of when you hear ‘CEO AU’, but, here are my musings on it:
Eiji is the young inheritor of a large, successful company and he was fairly spoiled from young age (no siblings in this AU)
Eiji doesn’t have much interest in running a company, his tennis and other hobbies like gaming are more fun, but he gamifies the business experience and with this manages to do quite well
Eiji frequents a private tennis court owned by the company but is getting bored from constantly winning (people either stop playing against him because they’re tired of losing, or they lose on purpose out of fear or trying to suck up to their boss)
Eiji sees a public tennis court at random and decides to pop in; maybe this is more fun?
Oishi happens to frequent this public court, and notices the new face; he offers to show Eiji around the place and they have a match
Oishi wins. This is Eiji’s first, very real, tennis loss in his adult life. He doesn’t take it well and throws a tantrum.
Eiji keeps coming to challenge Oishi, slowly they develop a friendship and Eiji gets more interested in Oishi’s private life
Like, “Surely this guy is a pro tennis player or something? Why can’t I beat him?!? Is he being coached?? I need to find out everything.”
They go out to eat after a match (Omurice; Eiji wasn’t sure it would suit his own expensive tastes but he *loves* it, it’s his new favorite) and Eiji asks him about Oishi’s tennis, Oishi just kinda laughs it away with “I’m just an ordinary guy, really. I can’t help but wonder about you too, your equipment is top of the line… I guess you have a good job, huh.”
Eiji doesn’t believe it, but stops asking for now, and doesn’t divulge any of his own information either so they’re even he guesses
Oishi works hard at different part time jobs while studying to be a doctor, as Eiji finds out from secretly following him
Eiji finally properly tells Oishi who he is, and offers to help Oishi out financially so he can properly study, after seeing the mental, physical and financial strain his new friend is going through
Oishi gets somewhat offended; “Thanks, but no thanks. I’m doing well enough, even if I have to work hard. But maybe someone in your standing wouldn’t get it.”
The next day Oishi thinks he was too harsh with Eiji, but still isn’t in the mood to play tennis with him (Eiji gets upset and leaves)
Eiji goes back to play at his private venue. But it’s not the same, there’s no Oishi there
Eiji swallows his pride to seek out Oishi again and they talk things out
O: “I want to succeed on my own terms. I’m glad you get that now. I was also too harsh, I’m sorry. You must have a lot of responsibility with your job.”
E: “… Then, will you play with me again?”
O: “Of course.”
Eiji supports Oishi a little from the side now, only as much as Oishi would let him (he might let him buy a book for studies).
Sometimes it still frustrates Eiji because he could get Oishi into the top hospitals after graduation but Oishi wants to deal with it on his own
Somewhere along the lines they both develop feelings for each other, but both keep it hidden for quite some time
Que slightly too long gazes and awkward laughs after accidental touches that neither would have batted an eye at before
Eiji’s developed habit of hanging onto Oishi now has them conscious about whether or not their heartbeat might betray them at any point, but it would be weirder for Eiji to suddenly stop doing so.
They both know the other is very busy, so they treasure their tennis time and after-match meals. Oishi even lets Eiji treat him to some fancy yakiniku from time to time, but mostly they have omurice. Oishi loves seeing Eiji’s face light up when he eats that.
Eiji has by now also seen Oishi’s more anxious and worrying side, and decides he’ll have to take asking Oishi out into his own hands… when the time is right. After graduation. But still before some random nurse or doctor can snatch him away. Definitely.

What's better than a normal birb ? A birb that forgot how to birb
I present to you: The Kakapo
This is the only known flightless parrot in the world. This big, ground-dwelling, nocturnal pile of leaves is endemic to new Zealand but is currently kept on 4 islands off the coast of New Zealand, two of which have been cleared of predators, due to the parrots critically endangered population numbers (barely more than 200 individuals)
Even though they might look clumsy, this walking watermelon is very skilled when it comes to climbing trees. They may have lost their ability to fly, but that gave them exceptionally powerful legs and a lot of endurance. Because they've lost so much of their pectoral muscles (powerful chest muscles that would've been used to power a birds flight) they don't require as much food or energy as a typical bird. This is probably why the Kakapo is herbivorous.
There's something so funny about birds settling on small remote islands with barely any big predators and then going: Welp, no more flight needed! Time to de-evolve :D
They are friendshaped and I love them
in fact they are so endangered and horny that male kakapo will attempt to mate with anything that is even remotely the color green

If you follow Selmers to the poetry society meeting in Night In The Woods, this is her poem.
I loved it and the themes of the game, and wanted to use it as practice to see if i can control the way readers 'hear' the words through images.

Aquato Family: Kelpies
They can’t go in water ‘cause they be horse monsters.
Started this comic 2 years ago—hence the monolithic Meligula—and wanted to jump back to finish it. I kinda fell in love with this idea, so I’ve invented a fat backstory to this thing. ( ͡☉ ͜ʖ ͡☉)

That time my when my older sister dressed up as Дед Мороз (Father Frost) for New Year's Eve. The disguise worked so well that I believed in Father Frost for quite a few years afterwards! In our family we celebrate New Year's rather than Christmas and Father Frost comes along with that. I have many fond memories of staying up on New Years Eve to eat festive food and open presents. Did anyone in your family ever dress up as Santa or Father Frost?

Giant Freakin Robot - ‘Exclusive: Dragon Age Netflix Series In Development’
With so many video games being adapted to television series and movies when it is all said and done it stands to reason that every game will get its own live-action production. But some are better options than others and that is what we have with this latest news. Giant Freakin Robot has the exclusive from a trusted and proven source that Dragon Age is getting a series on Netflix and the show is in active development right now. This has the chance to be a massive world-building affair.
There are few details around what a Netflix Dragon Age series would look like, but based on the original game, there are a number of ways for this to go with significant latitude around character development especially. Unlike some other video game adaptations, the role-playing aspect of the game would give creative options for new characters, especially not often afforded by other productions. Sure, there are rules to this Dragon Age world with set starting characters, but they aren’t as clearly defined as other shows we’ve seen produced based on video game IP.
Created by BioWare, Dragon Age is a franchise at this point, encompassing a number of different video game titles that have been released on all of the major platforms. There are four main series games (Origins, II, Inquisition, 4) and four spin-off games (Journeys, Legends, Heroes of Dragon Age, and The Last Court) which have been released over the last decade-plus. It stands to reason this series would begin around the relative events of Origins which works to world-build around the beginning aspects of the world.
Like a number of other legacy role-playing games, there are world elements in Dragon Age that have similar through-lines to standard RPGs. Set in the world of Theda, the original game implements elements of high fantasy wherein humans are part of the world, but so are elves, mages, dwarves, and the rest of the fantasy crew you’d expect to see in these settings. Theda is an insular world but broken into factions and territories that have geopolitical aspects to them.
And of course, with any series, there is the question of what we would be signing up for in terms of story and antagonist. While Dragon Age has a number of companion players that would almost definitely get a chance as key characters in any story, there is also the trouble this world sits on the edge of to start. That is the attack of the Darkspawn which surface every few hundred years to reign terror on the region. It is called the Blight, and this would almost assuredly be where a new series began, working on the eve of this event.
Netflix isn’t new to the video game adaptation, having already produced The Witcher which is heading into its second season. It has been one of the platform’s most popular offerings, becoming one of the most-streamed series ever for the streaming service. One could imagine a Dragon Age series reaching similar heights if done well. There is the source material for *ahem* ages here and plenty of worlds to build. I am sure we will get more news on the new series sooner than later. [source]
Not sure if this is true or not but (◯Δ◯∥)

Bad fighter Mobius M. Mobius is the best kind of Mobius M. Mobius, Actually.
I already loved Mobius more than most of the MCU characters before episode 6 came out, but THAT scene in Ravonna´s Office was really game changer for me. Until then I was actually sure, that this man is a great fighter. Because HOW THE FUCK COULD HE NOT BE, RIGHT? I mean...
he looks so sure of himself, He´s going on those missions with trained hunters all the time, he´s fearless!
And then Ravonna says:
“even with that, you´re of no danger to me”
And I was like: Ha! keep dreaming girl He´ll show you!
And Mobius was like: “Is that what you think? Let´s see..”
And I was like: Yeeees that´s my boyyyyy!!!”
And then Ravonna was like...
Mobius in the air in like a split of second.
And I was like
But Mobius freaking smiled and was like: “Yeah you were right”
ok. OK. HE´S MY FUCKING FAVOURITE NOW. THERE IS NO ONE BETTER THEN HIM SORRY.
Suddenly I was lost. I was blown away. It was HE BETTER STAYS IN MCU FOREVER OR I WILL SCREAM type of feeling.
So let me get this straight. He can´t fight. He probably knows that he is not a good fighter, and he...
HOLY SHIT. THE WHOLE SERIES IS SO MUCH BETTER!!!
As much as I love the idea of strong Mobius with long hair and daggers, looking for Loki through entire universe… I´m not sure, if I really want to see that in canon. I just love this cute and non-combatant version of Mobius too much, I´m sorry!
Let me explain my weird brain please:
we have lots of strong heroes in MCU – those who are great fighters, or those who had to learn how to fight.
The one thing I always loved about Iron man was the fact, that he really needed his brilliant brain, his technology (suit) and bravery to fight. And in the end he was the hero who saved them all. I mean… yeah. There are side-kicks, like Happy Hogan, or Luis (Ant man´s best friend) and I LOVE them! But none of them has got as much screen time and importance, as Mobius.
When I think about what I love so much about him and his dynamic with Loki, there is always this one thing that prevails: one of them is an incredibly strong but also very careful god (not when he´s drunk though) who uses a lots of strategies and plans, while the other is a tiny man in a suit who can´t fight shit but runs into the throat of a danger every chance he get and no one can´t stop him.
just look at him!!!
He goes on missions with these trained hunters to just look around for clues and has no concerns about potentional harm whatsoever.
And he even finds the time to stand up for normal people and be kind to them in the process:
Once Loki has no collar, on his neck he could break all Mobius´s limbs in a matter of seconds if he wanted to, but Mobius is completely sure he has nothing to worry about around his Loki. He´s not scared of ANYTHING, especially of Loki variants. Like EVER! :D
let me break it down in detail for ya. I made a list:
When they are taking Loki on his first mission outside, Loki asks, if no one is concerned that he is going to has his magic back...
well, maybe someone actually is concerned by that but it sure as hell isn´t Mobius. He just simply says that he could get Loki to Time keepers if he won´t try anything and like... this one line is getting on Loki so much, that Loki even tries to use it few moments latter xD
And here is the best scene ever:
LOKI: “we can go anywhere!”
MOBIUS: “I´m not taking you for a stroll along the promenade, much less an apocalypse”
FEW MOMENTS LATTER:
Hang on. Wait. So you telling me, he took this man outside without permission, without backup (you know, hunters, that actually CAN fight), right to the apocalypse, knowing that Loki can use his powers anytime, however he wants.
God. I love him!!!
And then he just hands him the daggers like it´s no big deal!
Like are we all aware this man has no any super powers, no big strength, nor any impressive fighting skills and he is willing to give him daggers for a mission, where this god is capable of magic and everyone else in team ECCEPT mobius is at least able to fight?????
And he just has that small bulletproof vest, and a raincoat and he chats with Loki in a rain like it was a fucking another apocalyptic DATE?
Ok. Let´s jump to the episode four
He goes and persuades Ravonna to let him interrogate Sylvie and he is straight up arguing with her, even when he´s told how dangerous Sylvie is. This man LOVES danger!!!
Once he has doubts he decides to risk it all and swaps TemPads right behind Ravonnas back.
And he is watching it OUT LOUD in a place where anyone can show up at anytime!
no but serously. This is a face of a man who is EXCITED for a dangerous adventures with Loki.
Yeah, lets bring this whole place down together!
And then we have this scene. Mobius really has a nerves to pull “ ha ha I had to take it by mistake” line right there.
But once he understand he´s gonna die, he just take his fate with bravery and talks to Ravonna about life he really desires.
And remember that time Ravonna warned him about this variant and how dangerous she is?
He casually saves her, just like that. No big deal.
He even has a time to make teasing notes about how Sylvie should be more careful jumping to a strangers car like that and how she really is one of the Lokis.
And after he saves her, he manage to apologize to her and make her to like him.
EVERY FREAKING LOKI LIKES HIM! - that has to be his super power I swear
And then Sylvie is like: well actually let´s go back there, I think It´s the best idea ever.
And mobius is like: What back to the angry cloud? - oh great. fuck this why the hell not. Lets do it.
so... while Loki and Sylvie are getting closer, lets show us, how literally every Loki likes Mobius (like not even alligator loki wants to hurt him, even when Mobius suggests that he is a liar I CAN´T)
And just random (AGAIN) during the chat saving Loki and Sylvie (without even knowing) when he inspires Classic Loki to change.
He offers free tickets straght to the TVA to kid Loki, classic Loki and an alligator.
I mean... What a LEGEND.
when he gets there he just knock on Ravonna´s door and is like - lets talk about it xDD
And he isn´t even suprised to lose that fight. He makes himself comfortable on the floor: yeah you were right. Here we go again. Just prune me already, doesn´t matter, I have my Lokis there anyway.
But make no mistake, I don´t think he is stupid, or naive. That is the most fascinating thing about him.
He is brilliant. He can makes great plans (it surely as hell was him, who come up with the high school scheme) He is a great investigator, he is familiar with psychology very well, he know how to manipulate people just as well, as Loki. He can interrogate flawlessly (when jealousy is not involved) And when he woke up in the Void, he was able to escape certain death, choose a car and drive around looking for Loki - and eventualy save Sylvie. He is a very capable man. I dont think he shouldn´t have any power. Like - he has his inteligence, his knowledge of all languages (I want to see him chat with Groot please), his knowledge of psychology, knowledge of how TVA works...
He can have his pruning stick, TemPad, bulletproof vest and a raincoat for what I care. but most importantly he has his kind heart, love of adrenaline, and he is a freaking Loki expert. And let´s not forget, every Loki loves him.
Also, he has a damn luck as well :D It´s like - Loki always ends up loosing, so Mobius is fine - even when he should be dead about million times already. (one man´s void is another man´s piece of cake) So when they are togheter. There is no way for Loki to actually die. Not by his side xD
So I don´t think he needs to become great fighter. I believe, that this is a hundred times better. Creators should explore this dynamic to it´s bottom before they make him fighter with super powers or something like that. ( I wouldn´t mind long hair though)
I´m sorry. But I just really love that. I love how small and fragile he is, but he wont be scared of anything. And now he´s Loki best friend (while having masive crush on him, let's be precise ) So just imagine all those amazing scenes that could come with that.
Imagine there is some very dangerous Loki variant that everyone has problem to deal with, and Mobius is gonna be like - you´re so cute guys, nice try. Now let me talk to him, will ya.
Imagine some big battle where our Loki and Mobius are fighting side by side with Avengers and Loki is using all his potential, and he is so stunning in his leather but he can´t focus very well, because few metters from him is a small, fragile man in a suit just using TemPad an afucking pruning stick. And Loki didn´t even want him there in the first place. So they are arguing like married couple right then and there and every avenger AND enemy in close distance just can´t believe these two are real.
also Loki saves Mobius by taking him in his arms right on time and running to safety with him
Maybe this post is completely useless and has incredibly bad english like every text I write, but I don´t care. I just wanted to loudly appreciate this mans non-fighting skills and his hilariously huge courage.
End of the post.
have nice day!

Some tips on writing Latino OCs/characters
Avoid the stereotype of the sex-siren “fiesty” Latino tropes: This stereotype does more harm than good, as almost all classic TV representation for Latinos is shown as the big hypersexualized character. By boiling down a Latino character to simply their sexual appeal, it denies them of their cultural identification if they do not fit what non-Latinos imagine all of them look like.
Not all Latinos speak Spanish: In fact, many Latinos do not speak Spanish that often or at all. Many times, non-bilingual/Spanish speaking individuals will write Latino characters “slipping” into speaking Spanish. This, obviously, does not happen in real life. If a Latino says something in Spanish then they meant to say it in Spanish. Here are some realistic reasons why a Latino character could say something in Spanish/Spanglish:
They are speaking to their grandparents or other people who only speak that language
For emphasis. I would sometimes speak to my partner in Spanish because I felt as though I could express myself better and more naturally (also ‘te amo’ feels more impactful than ‘I love you’, but that just may be a personal thing), but this did not occur often.
They are short phrases that any non-Spanish speaker could pick up on. Hola, gracias, de nada, mucho mejor, qué onda, madre/parde, casa, por qué are all ones I use around my friends sometimes. Again, sometimes.
There are others I am sure, but please be careful when writing a Latino character speaking Spanish. As a Latino living in America, if I am be honest, unless speaking with other Spanish speaking individuals, I do not use the language all too often (just like any other language, weird how that happens).
Do your research naming Latino characters: Please do not simply look up “Hispanic names” and choose the ones you like off of a list. If all your names look something like “Diego Rodriguez” then you are doing a bad job. Here are some tips:
69% of South America is Catholic and 19% is Protestant. Using that information, you are bound to have a lot of religious names. All of my siblings are named after biblical figures. Some examples I see a lot are: Rebecca, Isaiah, Claudia, Gabriela, Marcus, Elizabeth etc.
In Latino culture, many times children take both their parents last names so their names would be hyphenated. For example: Father’s last name could be Perez-ABC and Mother’s could be Ramirez-XYZ so the child’s name would be Perez-Ramirez.
This isn’t a hard and fast rule. If only one of the parents is Latino than most often they will simply do what most of Western culture does and take the father’s last name as the family name.
Represent many aspects of Latino culture: I far too often only see Mexican Latinos, which is great, but also there are many other countries/places to represent (Cuba, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Peru, Chile, Honduras and more)
Latinos have a variety of hair colors and skin tones and body types, make them: Afro-Latino people exist, write them. White passing Latinos exist, write them (though if you are only ever writing Latinos with pale olive skin and eurocentric features, you’re doing it badly). Latino people with thick curly hair and bold features exist. Talk about it. Latinas are not just your vessel to write about “thicc” or curvy women. Petite Latinos and especially plus sized latinos need representation. Represent them.
Latinos do not just eat ‘Mexican’ food: Stop associating all your characters with tacos and burritos.
If you do have Latino characters don’t be afraid to make them queer or disabled or anything else under-represented.
Avoid stereotypes altogether: The maid, the drug dealer, the sex symbol, the immigrant, we get it. That’s all we see in the media. Look up stereotypes, avoid them. It’s not “making a statement”, it’s racist, stop it.
If you describe any Latino person as “spicy” or “exotic”..................... :) you know
Make sure the connection to their cultural background makes sense: Some Latinos have a strong connection to their country and culture, some do not. Make sure it makes sense for their family history, background, etc.
This is all I can sort of think of off the top of my head. Latino people, please feel free to add on with anything else (my experiences are a bit limited as a Puerto Rican living in America, so the more perspectives the merrier). White people and non-Latino POC’s can comment questions but please don’t clown (no “I am not latino but also...!)
Please reblog, this is important for non-Latino creators!
