#my churches did them anyway but you were constantly bombarded with 'remember this part is worldly :)))' #'time to feel guilty for enjoying a fun celebration instead of wanting to think about a historical execution despite being a small child :)' #n e ways I didn't kill Jesus and certainly didn't kill him by wearing a shirt instead of a dress #and then I have sensory issues that got ignored cause dressing up for easter was too important #look at me now I'm the epitome of stable mental health :) /s #ex christian #religious trauma #religious abuse
