Thinking about Ghoap x Comms!Reader

(This is unedited ramblings at 10pm, this may end up being something, it may not)

(Also don't know if this is an actual job, but it makes sense to me that it would exist. But this is fanfiction so who cares)

Reader works for the military as well but their job is to monitor and transcribe communications during ops. Maybe they tried to be a soldier but got denied for some reason, maybe injury, maybe because they couldn't cope with directly taking lives or loosing them.

And readers been at it for a while, is good at thier job, keeps their head down, keeps what they hear to themself.

Reader is loyal, so they get a bit of leeway with their work. Gets assigned to monitor some of the 141's comms and becomes a detatched form of familiar with the team. They don't know who reader is, that they even exist, that most of their radio chatter is being heard by one person at a desk in a government building so far away.

Typically reader just zones out when working, purposefully trying to forget the confidential things they hear once they leave the building. But the 141 is... entertaining. The way they speak to each other with such familiarity and how they can make jokes without loosing sight of the mission, and how at the drop of the hat they hone in and get serious. They start to look forward to 'Price's paternal exasperation, 'Gaz's quick wit, 'Ghost's dry dad jokes, and 'Soap's cheeky comments. Occasionally they're graced with 'Laswell's easy verbal volleys with each member of the team. (Thinking about including Roach too)

And its obvious to reader, absurdly obvious, that Ghost and Soap are together. The thinly veiled, and the very not thinly veiled, flirting between the two is a giveaway. But what really sends it home is the panic. Reader was the one to transcribe the recoding from Las Almas. Right at the beginning, when Ghosts voice called out to Soap, he was calm in that call. But then Soap didnt answer. And reader heard the concealed panic when Ghost called out again, and they heard the relief when he did.

So reader figures out that they're together. Assumes as much. And takes a bit of joy from it. Takes some joy that people in such a brutal line of work have someone who understands and cares for them.

Maybe circumstances lead to reader needing to be saved. Or maybe they end up on base at the same time the 141 is there. And they run into the team some way. Readers smart, so they keep thier mouth shut about being privvy to their comms. Keeps to well known facts about the 141, the stuff soldiers outside of the team would know through reputation and minimal meetings.

Maybe they go out drinking, or maybe reader ends up bonding with the team some. They're all chilling somewhere together, and someone starts hitting on Soap and reader brushes it off. He's an attractive guy, charming too, its understandable. But Soap doesnt turn them down and reader looks over to Ghost who's watching the interaction too. And reader, without thinking says something about an open relationship. Ghost whips around on them in carefully concealed shock and asks them to repeat. Reader explains slowly, not yet realsing their error.

Its not until later, when Soap has left with the pretty thing who hit on him and Ghost had left quickly after readers comment, when Price is chuckling over his drink after reader has explained what they said, that they learn.

Ghost and Soap are not in fact in an open relationship. They are not even in any kind of relationship, romantic or sexual. And reader is shocked, if not a little disappointed, maybe even hurt. It's their own fault, really, they built up this false relationship between real people in their head only for it to remain in their head.

Later on, reader finds Ghost. Wanting to apologise for, stepping over the line? making the unsolicited comment? they're not entirely sure but they feel they should apologise anyway.

This is kinda where my thoughts end. I do have some I haven't mentioned but I don't know where to put them. Nor do I know exactly where this is going. Just some brain rot I've had.

It'd be so cute when she'd be calling him habibi and he's so confused because he knows this is not english. But he asks his father and finds out this is another language from earth.

Maybe she can speak a bit of arabic to him?

When dating someone, the first stage is always the awkward stage. Being shy and nervous around your lover, especially if you are a teenager. Cuddling while being tense, not knowing what to say, eye contact. The whole thing. But the awkward stage isn't forever, as the couple gets more comfortable with each other. Pet names is the next stage. It confirms how one sees the other, a sign and wording of love and deep care. And there are normal pet names like: pooki, honey bun, babe, sweetie, etc. And there are unique pet names that are unique to their own. A little bond just for them. Those hold more special meaning that average pet names. 

And that seals the relationship and opens a clear path to a stronger, loving bond.

Neteyam ran as fast as he could to the human base. Excitement filled his veins, it was complete! A new hijab made from the finest of fibers his forest could ever offer. And the finest hijab is to belong to his loving new lady. 

Things were starting to settle in their new romantic relationship. Was tense and a bit awkward in their starting days but now they are closer than ever. Understand the traditions and cultural heritage his lover has, who is Arabic, he did his best to understand it all. 

When getting to know each other, his Yawntu talked about what her country was like back on Earth. Told him stories, myths and legends. And most of all, the language. To neteyam, writing in Arabic was difficult, and speaking it was just as challenging. But he welcomes new things. He can understand English well enough, so that has become their common language to speak. Of course his Yawntu puts effort in learning na’vi so that she may converse more with the village. 

Opening the door to her room, neteyam enters and smiles at his beloved. There she was, reading a book. Looking up, the human girl smiled at him with hearts in her eyes. They meet in the middle as they embrace each other in full warmth. 

“I missed you ma’sevin” Neteyam says in a cooing manner. His sevin hugs back, replying “I missed you too wasim”. Neteyam’s ear twitched, he didnt understand that word but from the way she said it, must be a loving pet name. 

“Wasim, what does that mean sevin?” Neteyam asks kindly, happy to reply she answers. “Wasim means handsome”. Now this made his tail curl in a playful manner. “Handsome? You see me as a handsome young man, sevin?” he teases while leaning in closer to her face. His dear love couldn't help but blush at his little act and gorgeous smirk. 

“W-well, you call me pretty, i-it's only fair I call you handsome” she stutters out. 

“Dad, why do humans speak more than one language?” Neteyam asks one day as he helps his dad weave something together. Jake pauses momentarily, giving a moment to think before answering. 

“Well son, back on Earth, humans aren't able to connect in a way that na’vi do. Even back then, there was not much to communicate with each other. People living in different areas on Earth developed their own cultures and communities. Even developing new languages”. 

A small moment of silence between them before neteyam asks again, “And how do they develop language? How are they able to make it sound so different from each language?”. Jake scratches his chin a bit and mutters “should have paid attention to history class…” 

Neteyam tilts his head in confusion. Jake waves his hand in a dismissive way. “Forget that” 

Pausing at their craft, they get more comfortable in sitting. 

“Why the sudden interest?” Jake asks, trying to understand neteyams' curiosity for something about humans. 

“Ummm…well there is a human I began to talk to, she stands out a lot from the others you know. She wears a cloth around her hair and wears more clothing and speaks an odd language” neteyam answers. 

“I see. And this girl, are you friends with her?” Jake asks, observing his son as he moves and behaves. 

Scratching a bit on the back of his head, neteyam replies “You could say that. We have been getting to know each other. But she is so cool! Her accent is different but amazing, she showed me a bit of how to write in her native language. It is hard. Oh, and…” 

Jake observes how animated and happy neteyam is as he explains the details of his new friend. Chuckling a bit to himself, jake knows his son won't be silent if given the chance to mention the human girl. It is nice, to see neteyam be happy and express himself more. 

“Your friend seems very nice, but you forgot one important thing, what is her name?” he asks. 

“Oh, her name is…”

“Here, I hope it's perfect for you, I can still make adjustments” Neteyam says as he offers his newly made hijab. The girl grabs it gently and looks at it in awe. “Oh habibi, this looks and feels wonderful, here let me put it on”. Taking that as his cue, the boy turns to give his little lover some privacy to change her hijab. A minute later he turns around. 

“How does it feel?” he asks a bit nervously. Getting a good feel of it, the girl smiles so happily, “wonder, perfect, the colors are truly beautiful. And the material is so soft yet firm. The feel of the forest. The smell….I know that smell very well” she teases, giving him a flirt smirk. 

Neteyam couldn't help but blush at her words. 

   “أنت تعرف دائمًا ما يجب أن تقدمه لي، ومع ذلك أشعر كما لو أنني لم أعطك ما يكفي مني." 

The way the girl spoke was lovely, the curl of the sounds and how it rolls of her tongue was so intriguing. Yes he may not understand everything, but it only pulls him in more to hear the girl's language. 

“Im sorry, I cant understand what you said. '' Neteyam apologies. The girl giggles a bit, holding his hands. Looking up at him, dark eyes meeting his bright ones, “I can teach you if you like. We can speak it together, and I like to hear my language coming from you”. 

His tail thumps against the floor, feeling happy and excited. Smiling widly, he agrees. So, the girl brings out a clean notebook and a pen. “Alright, lets try something simple” she suggests. Nodding, he sees her write a simple sentence.

“Alright, this one is easy, repeat after me, 'uhibuk “ His love instructions. Listening to her words closely, he repeats. 

“'Uhibuk”

no, he just didnt like her. but also yes, he was jealous. I think his disdain for Camilla didn't just stem from "hur dur hate women", it was a bunch of things. And it doesn't have to be purely because he was jealous of the romantic/sexual relationship Henry had with Camilla, sometimes friends get jealous of relationships their friends have. Its toxic, ik, but it happens and we all KNOW Bunny was toxic asf (but not the only toxic person in the group fr).

Let's see.

Bunny knew about the incest thing since Richard met him. And while he was appalled by the whole affair, he only ever was shitty to/about Camilla, not Charles. I dont think its purely misogny here but i will not deny that was probably a BIG factor. so before any white knights come whining in my asks about du,bass shit; shut up.

Bunny was never into Camilla- Francis straight up says Bunny didn't even used to look at her, he said she wasnt his type, but then Francis assumes that Bun probs knew Camilla was "the type" (Francis says "bad medicine" and tells richard that apprently she leads people on, she lead henry on, she was even leading richard on, so on). Maybe Bun could tell that too, maybe his disdain for her came because he didnt want his best friend to get caught up with a "girl like that". (God forbid a girl has hobbies, tsk tsk francis)

I think maybe Bunny told henry specifically about the incest thing (he did not mention this to anyone else, so he didnt care about the gossip. he only cared about telling henry-- perhaps to make him realize "what sort of a girl" Cam was (even tho charles was equally involved and much worse lol). But you see that it doesnt rlly affect henry, i dont think henry cared about monogamy, or even the incest- maybe he thought it was yuck but apparently not yuck enough for him to stop flirting with camilla. we know hes detached from things, and tbh its a very henry reaction to knowing that and then just not giving a fuck. but back to Bun, sure, it could have been him trying to look out for henry for friendship purposes or he couldve just wanted to break them up lol.

I mean we know to SOME extent that Bunny was somewhat possessive of Henry.

1) He didn't let the man out of his sight and was overinvolved in Henry's affairs.

2) When he finds Richard staying at Henry's house, he gets visibly irritated. He also "jokingly" asks Henry if he's started to "house the sick" or something along those lines

Now to reiterate, Bunny could've just been a possessive friend ORRRR.... girl......his homo tendencies were showing. And sometimes possessive friends get territorial about their friends when it comes to their friends' partner.

So he might have specifically hated camilla for;

1) being a girl

2) being the receiver of Henry's special treatment (romantic or non romantic basis for this), this is where the jealousy aspect plays in and

3) being of "bad character" (incest and the whole leading on thing)

You had always been fine with the fact that Minho wasn’t often outwardly romantic with you. You weren’t particularly romantic either so it never felt like there was something missing or that he didn’t love you. You were both content with the dynamic of your relationship, and hadn’t given much thought about changing it.

But when you told your friends about this, they were at a loss as to how your relationship with him even worked. When you said you didn’t hug or kiss that much, the room was silent. And when you spilled the fact that you two rarely complimented each other either, your friends were left stunned— as if it was unheard of. You had never thought of it as weird, but now you were wondering if you should have. You were aware that you sometimes cared about people’s opinions too much, but all 3 of your friends had agreed profusely about this. They must be right, right?

You were sitting on the opposite side of the couch as Minho, thinking about this. Both of you were busy with work. Minho was on his laptop, writing and reading over lyrics, and you had a book resting open on your lap. Your brain kept going back to your earlier conversation with your friends at brunch.

“Why don’t you try being a little more romantic, just for one evening?” “I agree. You could set up a romantic dinner or snuggle while watching a movie. Isn’t it your anniversary soon anyway?”

All your brain could go to was if you and Minho were somehow doing it “wrong”. Was there a right and wrong way to a relationship? You were contemplating this thought more than you probably needed to, as you didnt even notice your book slip off your lap and land on the floor. 

Hearing the small thud of the book against the floor, Minho looked up from his laptop. He leaned over to pick up your book gently from the floor and place it back in your hands. 

“You’re thinking about something.” He noted, watching your face that was still scrunched up from your train of thought. Your eyebrows were furrowed and your lip was pouting slightly. Minho thought you looked cute, but he wouldn’t say it out loud.

You hummed in response, debating whether to bring up the topic with him or not. “Minho?”

“Yeah?” His eyes were back onto his computer screen, his fingers typing on the keyboard and making some edits, but you knew you still had his attention.

“Have you ever felt like we don’t do enough?”

He furrowed his eyebrow, “Don’t do enough how?”

“Like as a couple.” 

“No?” He shook his head slightly as if pondering over what being a couple entailed in the first place. You two really were very similar. “Do you feel like we don’t do enough?” He finally asked, turning back to you.

“I don’t know. I didn’t before…” You started, “But my friends seem to do so much more in their relationships. And then I started to wonder if we’re supposed to be like that as well.”

“What do they do so differently than us?”

You started to get a bit shy after he asked that, hesitantly continuing by whispering, “You know like… physical affection and… pet names…?”

“Oh…” There was an awkward pause for a second, both of you thinking over how you usually spent time together and if it was considered as normal.

“Would you… like it if I called you pet names or was more touchy?” Minho asked suddenly.

You were silent for a moment, “No… I like you just as you are.” You smiled and turned your head towards him, “We’re still a couple even if we don’t do stereotypical couple things, right? We’re the ones in the relationship, not my friends, after all.”

“You still know I love you even though I don’t say it often, right?”

“I know.” You scooted closer and pressed a kiss to his cheek, “I like our relationship… it’s not over the top.”

Minho nodded in agreement, settling back on the couch. He gave you one short kiss on the lips before going back to his work, leaving you to go back to your book.

not to sound weird but what was that work you put in to get where you are 🙏 i want to improve my life so bad but have no clue where to start. even a general gist of things

You dont sound weird! I think it's commendable to want to change your life for the better, and I want to help in any way I can :D

This is also my own perspective but I think a lot of it could be universally applied if you look at it through different lenses of ppls different situations. This also got rly long so I'm putting it under a readmore ^^;

So I had pretty much been isolating myself with increasing ferocity for years until recently. Even when trying to reach out to people I was extremely closed off, keeping my feelings behind many walls and chains always. A lot of my hard work has come from undoing all of that fuckup. I put all my eggs into my online friendships (and even then had a hard time with them).

My behavior was a cluster of personal garbage, learned mannerisms from keeping bad company, and hardwired reactions to specific behaviors. It's something pretty hurtful to realize when you do realize it, but that doesn't mean that you are a bad person or a failure or anything like that. It just means that you have certain bare minimum survival behaviors that worked before but now are only doing you damage, and you have to learn to undo them. (which is a great step!!)

Which brings me to what I have (painfully) learned over the past several years: the basis to any and every good relationship, romantic, platonic, family, or anything is crystal clear communication. Straight up for the love of god communication skills will save your life time and time and time again

And also like I said in earlier posts the solution to wanting to be more social is just BEING more social. This is arguably extremely hard, especially after years of "if they want me around they'll ask me" and always waiting to be invited but not wanting to bother anyone by asking if you can join NO!!!!!!!! GET THAT SHIT OUT OF YOUR BRAIN EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY!!!!! It really does NOT work that way at all. People will invite you to things if they see you express interest in them. The same way that in your head you think 'theyll invite me if they want me to go' if they dont see you express interest people will think you dont want to join. If you go someplace and just stay recluse because youre shy they likely will also think "theyre probably not comfortable or dont want to be here, so we wont force them". People are inherently kind and they are definitely NOT thinking about shunting you on purpose (and I am speaking this, genuinely, from personal experience)

While I was studying my major I got close to a group of people and thought of them as my friend group, but they always seemed cold to me, and I rarely got invited to hangouts because they seemed closer among themselves so I ended up always thinking that they didn't really want me around, and created all of these assumptions in my mind about them or what they thought of me.

Years later, recently, I found one of them again just... randomly while walking through the street and we started talking. And in my much better state of mind I asked about this whole thing because I wanted to know how the rest of the group was doing (I care very much for them still) and he revealed to me that THEY were the ones who thought I was shutting myself off of the group bc I didnt wanna be close to them. Which just blew my mind but it made a lot of sense and explained a lot. I was always on my phone too, talking with my internet friends (because it was my comfort zone), so what they'd assumed was that I already had a friend group that I was invested in and so I wasnt going to prioritize them. SO basically this whole thing ended up being resolved with clear communication and would have been solved much earlier if I had just spoken up about it and gotten braver (though my mental state did not let me at the time)

Anytime you are making up assumptions and ultimatums in your mind without communicating them to the other party you should stop and very much go and speak out loud to the other party (or parties) it will genuinely do you good cause huge as hell brain snowballs do nothing but drown you in your own mind.

Also on the being social front, if you dont have the practice in then it will be hard but a lot of it is very much "fake it till you make it" and I genuinely cannot recommend that enough. Inject yourself into conversations and places and act like yourself unapologetically because the secret isnt to craft a persona that you think people will like, its just being yourself and finding people who will love you for who you are. And like I said I just got invested in other ppls plans and asked to be able to go to places, and oftentimes just by expressing interest i got invited "oh I love this show very much!!" "well we have a plan to watch it at my pals house do you wanna come?" "we were planning on going to X place this week" "omg that sounds so cool can I come with" "of course!" Generally people will respond with "the more the merrier" so please dont be afraid to ask. And even if you get a rejection or two it's fine, don't let it discourage you. Some plans are simply not meant to be, and that's totally fine too!

Something else I worked for was reestablishing contact with old highschool friends I'd lost and I missed terribly. I went out of my way to find them again (old phone numbers, old emails, old instagram accounts that hadnt posted since 2019), and I found them!

And most of them really missed me too and were absolutely thrilled I contacted them again, we picked up right where we left off eight years prior. With a lot to catch up to but its genuinely so nice to have them in my life rather than just melancholically thinking about them and wondering if they hated me or anything. Turns out that they had also thought to contact me as well or had tried and lost my phone, or some of them even thought that it was better to leave things as they were to not "stir up shit" so we were all stuck in the same loop of insane thinking without actually confirming it until one of us (me in this case) finally broke the ice (and it took a damn long time too)

The thing is, people are just like you. We all have our own mental nonsense to fight, and we all have our assumptions and propensity to think ourselves into the grave, that's why its so so so so important to communicate things as clearly and as often as possible. Bearing your suffering alone will only make you miserable in the end, and your circle is there to help you

As a last note, I do want to say I have been incredibly lucky, because the friend group I've been adopted into I have met through that one friend from uni that I just HAPPENED to find on the street. I could have not waved him over on the street and just kept walking with my music on and ignored him. I could have said 'no' to his offer to get dinner that day if I'd wanted to be home earlier. I could have never spoken up about liking eurovision and never gotten invited to the hangout where I met my bf. And none of this would have ever happened at all. But that just strengthens my advice of "just say yes and reach out of your comfort zone" because you never know where it's going to lead you!

All this to say:

Communicate clearly with your peers to reduce misunderstandings. More likely than not they'll be in the same boat as you are. (Also extra note. Communication works BOTH WAYS. It needs to come from both parties. It is also a skill you have to nurture and hone!!)

Be kind!! and be loving!! and be yourself unapologetically!!

reach out to people the same way that you'd want to be reached out to. It sucks that sometimes (even often) you have to be the one to do it, but you eventually reap what you sow and people will learn that they can reach out to YOU

People will respond in kind to you being nice to them and a positive energy in their life. Some people will take advantage of it yes, thats just how things are, and its something you have to learn to recognize but you should never let that steel your heart. It is so so so important to remain kind and loving the world needs it so much. We're all out here trying to make our own lives and our loved ones lives a little bit brighter <3

Context — you're a career in the arena + while you and clove aren't in a relationship per se, you've grown close over the last week and are soft on each other (could totally pretend you're from the same district)

It was hot. It was like the gamemakers cranked the heat up, which they had likely done. a few of you had pulled your jackets off and tied them around your waist; clove however, refused. she was adamant that she kept her jacket on, even when you insisted she take it off.

"you're sweating bullets, clove" you said, stating the obvious. she glanced at you, and you stopped in your tracks. her face was pale, tinged yellow, her eyes sunken into her face.

you stopped in your tracks, making her stop as well. the others don't notice or don't care, but it doesnt even cross your mind. all you cared about was clove, what was wrong, and how you could fix it.

Personally I didn't get that from the scene with fragile. He seemed far more preoccupied with "ruining" her appearance, reputation, standing as a trustworthy porter company and her pride

It doesn't read as sexual gratification as much as smugness

Hes envied how comfortable in her own skin and has confidence in her looks (and possibly sexuality) and people who care for her/ admire her, possibly even healthy romantic/sexual relationships, and loving parents that didnt abuse her (at least in the ways that "daddy" didnt/arent as obvious) and now he's finally able to bring her down to his "level" to try to make them equals again in the only way he knows how, by dragging her down with him

Im not even sure if there is a sexual component? I think its far more complicated than that, and has far ,more to do with higgs' insecurities and envy tbh

I think the lick with sam is the closest of his actions to have sexual motivation, but even then I'm not sure its almost like hes trying to lay himself bare and be vulnerable while completely in control of sam? That scene is the one where his motives feel the most obscured

(with amelie i honestly keep forgeting that the deathless freaks comic didn't happen where amelie smacks his ass back right after that scene)

But I would be suprised if that was something amelie agreed to in order to upset sam further and bolster higgs as the despicable "villain"

I see this consistently with wikis based on kojima games (and quite a bit of scifi fandoms too) only giving legitimacy to straight characters/ relationships and delegitmizing lgbtq+ characters

So a lot of this is my own personal interpretation, I only really used the wiki screenshot to gather the "scenes" I use and don't entirely agree with some of the terminology and phrasing. But it is a place i can use to get all the canon plot beats in one place and I already had this interpretation before reading the wiki section.

I think all the things you said can be true with him also being a bit of a creep. Like, he has a Lot of depth as a character and I don't want to dumb it down to "Oh he's just a creep who assaults people" cause that's not at all the case.

But at the same time from the moment you meet him he just gives off Bad Vibes. He can absolutely be jealous of Fragile and looking to ruin her in every way (physically, mentally, reputation wise) and still be Weird about it. He's a complex character with complex motives and no one reason for doing something.

We might just interpret his character differently but this is how I read a lot of the stuff he did. Again, not everything gets dumbed down to him assaulting people cause he wants to but he does give me personally that vibe. He can violate Sam's space purposefully to make him uncomfortable and still get some sick gratification from it. The way he creepily pats Sam sometimes, talking about Fragiles "~pretty face~", etc, these are all real things I've both seen and been victim of by people who absolutely do get off on it.

Again this is all just how I read his character, and there is no one way to interpret any character.

honestly feel really bad for azriel in mm. i would have actually left when i saw my friends brought someone they know i dont like without telling me, that's a pretty shitty thing to do and one of my biggest boundaries and then them making plans without even telling him is bad too like i get what rhys said that they were being assholes at first because they were but pushing two people that don't want to be together is still a shitty way to go about it. like even with reader she likes cass but not rhys and is being almost forced to hang out with him because of the thing with feyre which looks like fey didnt even really explain to her and idk seeing your friends put romantic relationships in front of you sucks.

so, i totally get what you're saying here and that is so valid. it actually reminds me of something that happened over my weekend which was a similar situation. i was going out and i knew there was going to be someone i didn't like there but i went anyway because you know i need to go out and live my life and not let anyone stop me. and i'd been invited by a friend so i said yes. it's a little different because obviously reader/az didn't know that the other would be there, so i totally see your perspective on it!

i think maybe also azriel just could've assumed that he'd be hanging out with rhys and cass on the weekends so he wouldn't ask if they had already made plans, and i could see cass and rhys not bringing up their planned engagements because they know azriel is kind of a lone wolf and sometimes goes off by himself and they know he doesn't care for reader so they just didn't say anything.

fey def trying to keep whatever is happening with her and rhys a secret 👀 which is def shitty to do to her roommate/best friend but again, fey could be feeling awk by bringing it up to reader again because she knows how much she doesn't like these guys. except cass

in the end, i think the same can be said where az might've just figured they'd all be chilling or what not so he was working on rhys' tattoo. i don't think their plans are solidified it's kind of like oh yeah we always chill so it goes unmentioned, which is also shitty, you're right, because cass and rhys would feel the same way and they really should've told az that they had plans.

Today is the 1st day of prideeeeee!! So we're gonna talk about sexualities/relationships to expect and stuff for the Not The Tea Au!

None other than his number 1 fan, ride or die, best friend Fennec, of course! He and Fennec are very close, and have see each other through thick and thin. If something were wrong? These two have each other on speed dial. (She teases him about the brief time he dated Han and asks him if that turned him aro. She knows that's not how that works, but it's still funny.)

The asexual train leads us tooo- Jango Fett! (the love of my life) While Jango is not aromatic, his view on love has always been

He was raised by a single father, and doesn't remember all that much about his biological parents or their relationship. (They were great loving parents, just fyi! Arla talks about them and tells him stories) So he's never been the most concerned with finding his forever person. (Romantically he's interested in just about anyone gender wise) That in mind, he's always wanted kids. (Mando genes) But, relationships are tricky things, and finding a partner to settle down with was iffy sooo....He took matters into his own hands. (Jaster STILL isn't quite sure where Cody, Rex and Boba came from. And at this point, he's too afraid to ask) When Jango meets Obi-Wan for the first time...its not exactly love at first sight but he definitely found the man intriguing. It was never more than a crush, though. And then, about a year later, life hit the Fett household like a train and well...romancing Cody's teacher was the LEAST of Jango's worries. Once everything settled down though, and realizing just how much of a help during this time Obi was, and how amazing and loving he was with the kids well, let's just say that crush was a tad more than a crush.

Tgats our segway into Obi, our Bisexual king. Similar to Jango, Obi developed the slightest crush on the man upon meeting him. All in all though, his focus was on his students and getting to know them! He already knew a little about Cody simply because Ahsoka and Rex are best friends, but getting to know the family on a more personal level was nice. When tragedy struck, Obi-Wan offered a his help in anyway he could, trying his hardest to try to make sure Cody wasn't overworked with school. After all of it died down, Obi-Wan found himself getting to know this family more and more and it's safe to assume that it developed into more than a crush.

Padme, Anakin, and Rex are all also bisexual.

Han identifies as unlabled. He likes who he likes.

Din is Demisexual. (He and Cobb do eventually end up together raising Grogu)

Fennec is bi with a heavy female lean.

Cody Echo, and Cobb are all gay.

Fives, and Ahsoka are pansexual. (And Lando but he doesn't have a bit role in the story)

Fox's sexuality is 'sleep & coffee' (he doesn't label himself and he's not exactly looking for a relationship but he's into both men and woman)

Alpha-17 is AroAce just like Boba.

I've been drawing more of this au (hopefully I'll post some soon!) and I have some scenes written/plenty of scene ideas it's just a matter of putting pen to paper. (Or fingers to keyboard in this case) Hopefully I'll post again soon, and I'm glad to see people enjoy this au as much as I do^^

Ok so in my humble opinion… mike treats will like a bestfriend, it’s will that treats him like a crush with those puppy eyes. It looks like at this point you can’t even be sweet with your bestfriend lol. Also max and el have basically the same relashionship of byler,they hold hands,they touch eachother but they are not romantically in love 😂 sounds familiar? The scenes between mike and will are simply platonic from mike side,he loves will but not in that way. Also us(milevens) would be really pissed off if we discover the monologue was fake,mike didn’t love el? And all in a sudden loves will? YO THAT’S INSANE and dumb.

i think this post may help a lot in viewing mike from a different perspective. they replaced will’s shots with shots of max where shes basically making the same facial expressions to show that mikes words are romantically coded and this would be crystal clear to anyone if will was a girl. i also would argue that mike’s crush on him is even more obvious than will’s based on some of his not so sweet behavior. will went right in for the full on hug but mike retreated because he didnt want to get too close to him. will calls him out on not writing or calling but mikes interprets it in a romantic way by saying “thats because shes my girlfriend! we’re friends! we’re friends.” and theres way more times where he glances at will’s lips than will looking at mike’s. hes not subtle.

i really disagree with el and max having the same kinda friendship as mike and will. yes they held hands, but they were holding hands as max said “see theres more to life than stupid boys”. this whole day at the mall was about max showing el that she can be her own person and have her own style and have fun without being in a relationship. it could not have more clearly been about friendship. i think both max and el but especially el were in need of a girl best friend.

no other friendship on the show is shown the way byler is. we would never see a heart to heart scene between lucas and dustin with “emotional, tender music”, closeup shots, and getting interrupted mid conversation. we saw something like this once with two friends but it was lucas and max. before they were lumax. it was when they were on top of the bus in s2 and guess what!! the song that plays during that scene is the same song that plays during one of mike and wills scenes this season!! i just think thats really cool.

as for the monologue, i agree that they made it pretty messy with that one and it might seem way off for that to “all of a sudden” mean nothing in s5 but the events we see follow it are suspicious. why do you think we never see mike and el say a word to each other for the rest of the season? honest question, weren’t you expecting el to wakeup, hug mike, say she loves him too, and kiss? or something along those lines. isnt it weird that everything led up to this huge dramatic moment only to show none of the aftereffects it had on el and their relationship?

i wanna know how you interpret some of this scene. why do you think will had to push mike to continue talking? did you think it was kinda shitty of mike to just basically repeat so much of what will said in the van about el needing him and being scared of losing him? were you disappointed in mike when he brought up her powers and said “youre my superhero”? it seemed like el was. i think she wants to be seen as just a person but mike sees her as this superhero who can do anything. also do you truly believe some of the things he said that werent directly from will’s speech in the van? im not trying to be snarky im genuinely curious. when he said that it was basically love at first sight, did you believe that? because if you watch season one again the first thing they do is take her to mikes basement out of the rain, then make a plan for his mom to take care of it and bring her back to where she came from, and then go back in the woods to find will. it objectively wasnt love at first sight.

and also why do you think he could suddenly say those three words when it came to life or dearth but he couldnt say it earlier when el was literally sobbing in front of him because he doesnt say it? if he was in love with her why wouldnt he have said it already?

he wouldnt “all of a sudden” love will in the last season. theyve shown plenty of clues from the very beginning about him potentially being queer. like you have to admit it would feel much more out of nowhere if they made dustin gay in the last season but mike? that is very possible.

and i started seeing him like, once a week

and he seemed so...

he had so much friend potential kay?

i get this platonic crushes on people, where the feeling is somewhat "omg, they look so cool, i need them as a friend rn"

so, a friend and i were on a mission to befriend him asap, cuz this friend also wanted to get to know him.

The cute guy was shy tho, so we tried to not scare him, and slowly we started hanging out with him more.

but, the cute guy got like, a romantic crush on me, and it was the worst

i was hoping so hard that he would just suck it and not tell me, because i just, didnt knew him well, and while i was romance favorable back then, i wanted to have a strong relationship with someone before we even consider anything else.

(Btw later i would discover that i in fact dont like a lot of the romantic relationship stuff, and i would rater have a qpr instead)

but he told me, and, it sucked

like, i was not going to tell him that i was (and am) aroace, because it would've been way more complicated, and i didnt want to throw away my shot with him, because i hoped that if he would just fucking wait and take it slow, maybe we could date in the far future yknow

when he told me, i said that i wanted to become close friends with him first, and that maybe in the future we could think about it, and he seemed okay with it, but uh,

i discovered a bunch of things then

It seems that "i want to get to know u better and be friends first" in allo language it means "you are in a trial, and im watching your every move to decide if you're worth it or not". I learned this btw thanks to another friend, who tought i was being cruel to the cute guy.

It also seems that allos think that is cruel to be in a romantic relationship with someone if you dont like them romantically, even if you care about them oh so very much.

Also, after it ended up in nothing, the guy just, didnt hang out with me anymore. Like, it made me feel that if i wasnt a plausible romantic option i was just, not worth wasting his time on?

And, when now i think about a hypothetical qpr, its that guy the one that comes to mind.

Because i really liked him platonically, he was sweet, and caring, and fun to be around, he was always open to help people, understandig and patient, and idk, i feel so robbed.

Because i didnt want to play the good lil allo and say "sure i like u too", i dont have this awsome person in my life

and because of amatonormativity, he would not have considered to be my qpp even if i asked

And the only thing that i accomplished was make him cry, just because there are some weird rules im supposed to know about crushes, but no one tells me what those are.

idk i just, feel bad about everything that happened, and i wish i could work my way into ask him if he would be okay in a qpr
