hello,,, I'm back? can you believe?
Hello guys! I’m finally back after a more than 365-day hiatus. I had to take a well-needed break to give way to my mental and physical stresses. I’m okay now. Much happier and more motivated than I was back.
You guys missed my first ever bullet journal I made for 2018. However, that was just a trial round. I’m still thinking about whether I should post some of my favorite spreads from that journal.
Now, I would like to introduce to you guys my 2nd ever bullet journal for this year! Will post my january spreads soon!
Let’s catch up. Drop a message and I’ll gladly reply.

LIST OF (PRODUCTIVE) THINGS TO DO ON HOLIDAY.
Which does not include binge-watching Netfilx series or scrolling through your phone for 7 hours straight.
Anything related to visual arts
paint, sketch, doodle, fashion draw, design an outfit, urban sketch (this is the most fun, you should totally try it. Take references from Pinterest for a start), make funny & relatable comics (fun thing to do when you have free time but are too lazy to draw properly), digital art.
Journal
Fill in a journal throughout the holiday. Remember, you don’t have to have something interesting to write, because a journal should be filled with what you are thinking, what you are struggling with, what you are planning on doing, every page is about you and your thoughts. If you’re struggling to start, you can check out my post about journaling in case you need a little help 😉
Read books
No explanations needed. Here’s a few recommendations for light reading, do tell me what you think of these books (* is for my personal favs) :
The Shopaholic series (Sophie Kinsella)
Holding Up the Universe (Jennifer Niven) *
Fangirl (Rainbow Rowell)
To Kill a Mockingbird (Harper Lee) *
Crazy Rich Asians series (Kevin Kwan) *
The Secret Garden (Frances Hodgson Burnett)
Write anything: poems, stories, blog entries
Try out new software
Something that will probably help in the future, since it’s the digital era and it’d be a plus if you can master some of these:
Adobe Photoshop (duh)
Adobe Illustrator
Corel Draw
Adobe Premiere Pro
Final Cut Pro
Adobe Lightroom
Take part in online projects
Small/forthcoming magazines are usually in search of a crew, you can try contributing as a writer, designer, or editor. Or you can submit a piece of your artwork to online (or even printed) magazines like Frankie, Local Wolves, Half & Half, Fringe, etc (find more on Issuu or Tumblr). I took part in Studioblr Archives 1st issue during holiday and it was one of the most fun and educating experience I’ve ever had.
Create your own project
Start an online shop for your handmade craft, write a compilation of short stories, make a portfolio for your artworks, put together your poems and drawings.
Learn a new instrument
Anything you think would be a stress-reliever, this might be a therapy once you go back to your head-spinning schedule. I’m currently learning to play ukulele, just because I love the sound and you don’t have to crack your head trying to play a certain song.
Expand your wardrobe
This is even more important when you’re moving on to college and have been spending the last 12 years with uniforms. Explore new style and outfit on Pinterest and Instagram, whether you want to be a gothic insta-baddie or a retro kawaii princess, just make sure you have more than black jeans and a hoodie to go with.
This is just a short post of a few things I have been and am planning on doing. Let me know if you’re doing any of these, and feel free to add more and more things to the list 😁

11 August 2018 | 19:48 Happy Saturday lovelies! I sound like a broken record always saying I haven’t posted in awhile but here I am 😅 Anyways, for the past couple months I’ve been in a slump. I’ve just been stressing about school starting again and job hunting. I’m somewhat out of my slump but I’m gradually getting out of it. I’m pretty excited about starting school again. In my past post, it seems like I’ve been in nursing school for awhile but I have and I’ll sort it out in a new post if anyone’s interested in my story and where I am now with the whole nursing program and everything about nursing school 😁 Aside from all that, I actually started bullet journaling! I feel it would be s good idea since I’m starting school and working soon. I’m going to try my best to post at least once a week and maybe progress to more (depending how busy I’ll be). Hopefully I still have people here who are still interested in my nursing student journey! I promise I’ll try my best to be more active. For those who are still there, hello and thank you for being so patient with me! All the love, Leanne
