The uni semester is over and I’ve just recently received my marks. I got my first overall High Distinction! Really aced my short story writing unit. It gives me confidence for my future; hopefully I can work in the publishing/editing/authoring world.

hi hello and welcome to my studyblr! i actually started this awhile ago but after going ia for a bit i’ve finally come back to (hopefully) post more frequently! so here’s a bit of an intro!

☁️who are you?

hi! my name is natti and i go by they/them pronouns! i’m currently in my second semester of university where i’m majoring in psychology. i also self-study korean, german, and italian on the side. something to know about me is that I ult the group stray kids so you’ll probably see them a bit on this blog :]

☁️why start a studyblr?

mainly for accountability. i always like scrolling through studyblrs for a bit of motivation and maybe i’ll give that same motivation to someone else!

☁️meaning behind user?

seungmin from stray kids is their self-appointed “dandy boy”. he is always seen to be very diligent especially in his studies and is a huge inspiration for me!

☁️where else can i find you?

i have a studytwt and studygram by the same user (and maybe a youtube channel soon...)

i hope we can motivate each other to work hard and study well!

Omg this challenge has already finished lol. I could luckly did my three workshop homeworks (projects?) so yeah. At end they weren't that difficult lol. This week I start presential classes and I'm happy to finally do real projects in the workshop subjects. Also I 've have been procastinating a lot some not due homeworks so it's time to give them the attention that , as the others, reserve.

#2: how many houseplants in your room, and what kinds are they?

I currently have eight (8!) houseplants in my room--a coffee plant, a dieffenbachia, and two mystery succulents, plus four baby mystery succulents which are propagated from when my tall succulent was looking unhappy so I clipped some off.

Blog Update Complete!

Welcome to @contre-qui - my revamped studyblr/bookblr/writeblr blog!

The new URL is based on the song my band has used in the past from our rose ceremony, Contre Qui, Rose by Morten Lauridsen. Our rose ceremony takes place during our spring concert, and every senior stands up one by one during the playing of the piece and brings a rose to their parents to thank them for everything they’ve done to support the student throughout their time in the band. It highlights moving on and saying goodbye, yet recognizing those who got you there. In French, “contre qui” means “against who,” so it became a reminder for me that I’m competing against only myself in life.

Easter, week one: Wishing for sunnier times.

It hasn’t been as productive of a week as I hoped it would be (unresolved burnout isn’t quite helpful either), but we must carry on.

Next week is looking to be rather busy socially and otherwise, so time to pick up the pace and march onward.

Easter, week four: Hold your loved ones close.

It's been a strange week. Moving on slowly but steadily with work; the deadline is almost upon us. Experiencing a personal loss for the first time has been very disorienting and difficult. I don't think I've fully processed the situation, or rather my brain has flat-out refused to do that. The magnitude is too great. Grief is the price we pay for love.

Trying to carry on with life as it were. Back to university tomorrow then, in a new reality.

Term three, week one: It’s so good to hear your voice.

Another busy week on the social front. I think I’ve almost compulsively thrown myself into the world in an attempt to evade my sadness, just to see familiar faces and have those sincere chats again. I miss people and the joy of being with the ones you love.

Been out late for more than I’d liked to but it gave me a chance to see the city in a different light. The ambience of the night is soothing. Plip plop falls the rain.

Easter, week three: Friendship will get you somewhere.

One more week left before we're back to the usual rhythm. Studio is now open again and I saw my classmates + friends for the first time in several weeks. We'll get through it together.

If you're thinking of checking in on someone today, send them that message or give them that call. Human interactions do wonders for mental well-being upkeep. Care for each other.

Half of Easter break has now gone by. It goes so fast. Bless my tutors who said that going out for walks is conducive to creative endeavours. I need to remember that better instead of sitting at my work setup all the time.
