when that one early 2000's weird thriller-mystery show about a plane crash has me crying my eyes out, screaming out loud, jumping out of my seat, and violently reacting to small details every single epsiode without fail

The ending of Lost had to be crazy from an in-world public perspective.
So a passenger plane goes missing in the Pacific. A little while later they find the wreckage at the bottom of the ocean. No survivors- tragic. But then, a couple months after the crash a few survivors suddenly turn up out of nowhere. A crazy, dramatic survival story.
Then. A few years later, another plane goes missing under similar circumstances. A little surprising that it happened again, and so soon but not that weird. These things happen. But then it comes out that you know those famous survivors of the first crash? The Oceanic Six? They were also on this flight. Yeah, all of them (except the baby). Maybe someone also finds out that the pilot of this flight was scheduled to fly that first plane. And maybe they find out that one of the Oceanic Six bought out as many of the seats on the plane as he could. All very weird.
And THEN. That second plane reappears after a few weeks. Except the plane is trashed, and all the original passengers are gone (presumed dead) except for one, who is one of the Oceanic Six. AND they've somehow picked up four NEW passengers who were not on the plane in the first place, and those four are the weirdest part because you have:
- a professional psychic who went missing years ago (or was presumed dead in a freighter explosion)
- a guy with no verifiable citizenship in any country, no id, no birth certificate, no drivers license
- two more survivors of the first plane crash who were previously declared dead
There is no cover story they could come up with that would completely satisfy people and you know that there have to be conspiracy theories that one or more of the Oceanic Six crashed both planes.
