What if--?
What if the Trolls's music hadn't been restored after Poppy destroyed the strings? (A.K.A, a rewrite of Band Together)
DISCLAIMER: !MAY CONTAIN: SELF HARM MENTIONS, TROLLS "GOING GRAY", JOHN DORY IN GENERAL!
Barb screamed, holding the fading strings in her paws. Tears began to flow. Everything was silent.
And then everyone began to leave.
...♡
Branch knew what being gray was like, but seeing everyone gray? A month had gone by since the strings were broken. There was no music. Pop Village was quiet. No parties were held, hug time was ignored, and no one sang or danced.
He had seen the Pop Trolls be gray, but that had been for around two minutes. Seeing Tiny and other young trollings growing up with this grayness was unsettling.
"Branch! Branch... Daddy isn't singin'! Nobody is!" Tiny yelled, running up to Branch and hugging the feral troll's leg.
Branch picked him up carefully, hugging the small trolling tightly. "It's going to be okay, Tiny.. we can fix this, okay?" He assured Tiny, lightly swiping a tear off the glitter trolling's cheek.
...♡
They ventured out together, taking only one bag with the essentials: Some rations, water, and a few pairs of extra other for Branch. And a scarf for Tiny incase he got cold.
"We just need a little bit of help. I think I know some trolls... we just need to find them!" Branch smiled at Tiny who was sitting on his shoulder.
Out in the middle of Lonesome Flats was some kind of large bug... bus? Someone stepped out of it's door, walking over to the river next it to. John Dory.
Tiny hid in Branch's hair as the feral troll approached his older brother. The one who had left him.
"John Dory." He grumbled, standing right behind John. His tail lashed, his deep blue eyes narrowed as Branch's older brother turned to see him.
"B-Bitty B..?" He asked in bewilderment.
"Don't call me that. It's Branch, John." Branch snapped, crossing his arms. "I need your help."
John was gray, too. Of course, he lost his music when the strings broke, just like everyone else.
"Music across every tribe is gone. We need to get it back, and for that..." He sighed. "We'll need to find Spruce, Clay, and Floyd again.. and attempt the perfect family harmony."
John Dory stood, smiling. He cocked his thumb at the door of the bug/bus thing. "Well then, since it seems I have no choice. Let's get goin!"
Branch climbed in, Tiny popping out and onto his shoulder again.
Maybe this would work.
Maybe.
Just...
Maybe...
"I'll save you... all of you."

Looking for some held finding a bit of lost media
The short and simple of it is that i am looking for the song "Wonder Wars (feat. Area 11)" by Fujikomatune.
It was the theme tune to the Wonder Momo anime by ShiftyLook (an offshoot of Bandai Namco)
Tumblr media
The official uploads of the anime were pulled from Youtube, but it is still up on Crunchyroll and unofficial YouTube uploads.
The short version of the theme song can be heard here
youtube
The OST, which i am looking for, remained online until very recently but recently got delisted from everything, including the original YouTube upload.
I had previously purchased the theme song, but unfortunately i'd lost the files in a PC failure and my option to redownload was cut off when Google Play Music wiped all purchases. (I know i should've backed up, but unfortunately i didn't consider that in time.
So far, my leads are:
1- the youtube reuploads linked above (Unfortunately a shorter edit than the album version)
2- this preview file from here
3- this single song from the soundtrack from one of the other artist's soundcloud.
4- The leftover listings for the sound track on places like Spotify
Unfortunately, that's where the trail goes cold. The youtube upload was not backed up on archive.org.
I'm looking mainly for Wonder Wars, the theme song, but if we can track down the whole OST that would be amazing and could be backed up properly on archive.org.
If anyone can help me out here, it would be really appreciated!
Reblogs for visibility would be much appreciated.

hey guys, can you help me find a song? i have a friend helping me through reddit but i think a fair amount of your are familiar with 8tracks.
there was this song i once came across on 8tracks, it was beautiful, it was haunting, it was amazing. its an acapella song (no music what so ever, just voices, maybe 5 or 6, men and women) and i am SO SURE it was either about an astronaut or space. its an original song, not a cover, and i am thinking it might be an original soundcloud audio. i THINK the 8tracks album had a headshot art piece of an astronaut, illustrated with vivid colors.
does it ring any bells?

There are "gaps" in Dedf1sh's numbered repertoire over the course of Octo Expansion: #3, #7, #10, #15, #17, and #18 are never heard and never published, leaving her one, unnamed album incomplete.
I've taken the liberty of filling one of those gaps.
---
(Did you know: On the outside storefront of Hotlantis are the signatures of various artists and composers, including Chirpy Chips and all former members of Squid Squad. And in one corner of the display is Dedf1sh's handwriting.
(The signature tries its best to be orderly and constrained, but inside these limits is a horrid mess that shakes and spurts and then peters out listlessly in a single direction. It is both orderly and inscrutible, like pre-programmed instructions that have begun to erode away.
(My grandmother, who suffered a huge stroke at the end of her life, could not remember a conversation seconds after it had happened. She had the same kind of handwriting.
(Her music is like a dying gasp that lasts forever. Unless she herself proves otherwise. One can only hope.)
EDIT: okay fuck, what's up with "#35 caught?" The hell's an Octoplush supposed to be?! What happened to Dedf1sh?! I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS!

Forgotten Musicians, Lost Music: A Plea for Preservation
I used to be a musician. A pretty good one, too. I had a record deal, I toured all over the country, and I had a few songs that made it onto the radio. But then, things changed. My record label dropped me, my band broke up, and I faded into obscurity.
It's been a few years now since I've released any new music, and I'm starting to feel like a forgotten musician. No one knows my name. No one cares about my music. It's like I never existed.
But I did exist. And I made music. And that music is still out there somewhere.
The problem is, most of my back catalogue is unavailable. My record label went bankrupt a few years ago, and all of my masters were lost. So, if you want to hear my music, you have to track down old physical copies of my albums or singles. And even those are hard to find.
Which is why I consider myself to be borderline lost media. My music is still out there, but it's buried deep in the obscurity. And if no one seeks it out, it will eventually disappear forever.
I know that I'm not the only forgotten musician out there. There are countless other artists whose music has been lost or forgotten. And that's a tragedy.
Because music is important. It's a part of our culture. It's a way to express ourselves and to connect with others. And it's something that should be preserved for future generations.
So, if you're a fan of lost media, or if you're just curious to hear some music from a forgotten musician, I encourage you to seek out my music. You may be surprised at what you find.
And if you do find my music, please share it with others. Help to keep it alive. Help to prevent it from disappearing forever.
Thank you.
Barnaby J. Tremayne.

And now I know, it’s just the game 🔥🔥🔥
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
First design of JAG for my Lostwave comic I might start this summer. « Lostwave Central » is the story of 3 Lostwaves, 3 lostwave songs who happen to find themselves together in the purgatory that is the city named Lostwave Central. Everyone Knows That (EKT) just landed and fonds herself having to fend for herself in a cruel world that won’t be kind to her. There she meets Under The Stars (UTS), a teen boy that she will develop a friendship with. The 2 will then come across Just A Game (JAG), a washed up casino worker who accepts to let them live at his place in the meantime. Together, all 3 will develop a familial bond.
JAG, who works at a Casino in the city, owns a pretty sick house in one of the quarters of Lostwave Central, although due to disagreements between him and other Lostwaves, he is forbidden to enter other parts of town unless he is under supervision from someone non affiliated with him. He’s usually pessimistic, doubting greatly that he’ll ever gain his memories back and ascend, remembering who he truly is, which clashes with EKT’s opinion who believes there’s still hope for everyone of them all. JAG really just thinks that every single Lostwave is a lost cause.

Need Tumblr's Help Regarding Archiving Some Media
So there was this independent singer in Canada in the early 1990s who was pretty incredible and she got popular for a short blip. Well I wanted to listen to it 30 years later and the entirety of the artist's presence on the internet is this one link. http://www.musicxray.com/xrays/410313 Which is super sad. So I started trying to find the album and found that there have been TWO copies available in the world in at least the last ten years. One was a ridiculous delisted Amazon listing and then another one on some sort of tiny website that no one could verify 100% for me was legit still though it had been at one point. But I was so determined that I took the risk and it actually paid off!
Tumblr media
Now then I live in a country where if I own the thing I can make myself a digital backup of the thing. I found my USB CD drive but I have no idea what program would be good to use anymore! If you have a recommendation for what software I should be using to make myself my allowed digital backup please let me know! Or if you know of any groups that has experience making digital back-ups of rare music I can talk to in order to ensure I have the best backup I can please let me know!

I'VE FOUND A SONG BUT WHO IS THE ARTIST?
here is an upload of a remix of techno kitty i found i'd say in like 2020 or 2021: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9cI5ehbxeg i've named the song after the title of the audio file i got from soundcloud INFO, CLUES, ETC: - i believe most of their music was similar to dariacore - their soundcloud was deleted a while ago, not just this song. - they heavily used samples. - eggpriest had posted about the song and said they liked it, leading me to listening to the song and liking it a lot - the info that i need is the name of the artist, maybe even the link eggpriest sent. i'm not very good at finding things like this, so any help would be appreciated. i'm not sure what else to try so i'm posting here to see if anyone can help out.

Looking for a lost song
One of my favourite favourite Vocaloid has seemingly vanished from the face of the internet and if anyone can help me find it, it would be really appreciated!
The song is "I'm gonna commit a felony", a Kagamine Rin song by Oglagold
It was originally uploaded on YouTube but the video, seemingly along with the rest of the channel, and seemingly nowhere else.
Unfortunately, I made the mistake of not making a backup and unfortunately the internet archive doesn't have it either. The page got saved, but the video did not.
If anyone has a copy of knows where to get one, it would be so very appreciated!
Tumblr media
Reblogs to help spread this request would be greatly appreciated!

I've kinda been fixating on lost media recently(only the songs though) and i found out about this lost vocaloid song "Lament of a Suicidal Spinster", by A. Maya. All of her songs were privated or deleted years ago, along with her social media accounts, and the only clip of her song is on a top 25 worst vocaloid songs video, so I wanted to find this song, cuz, it didn't actually sound bad.
So I got on my computer today, checked out her old youtube channel, which was completely empty,
Tumblr media
And I check the community tab
Tumblr media
WHAT
I WAS SHOCKED
And only two days ago too!!!
I checked it out,
youtube
She uploaded it!!
After about 10 years she's back!
I don't know why I am so excited but I was worried, what happened to her? I wanted to know if she was alright, and she explained EVERYTHING in the comments of the video!
I am actually surprised the vocaloid/lost media fandom hasn't said anything about this yet, and the youtube video only has 40 views. Please check it out, if you're a vocaloid or lost media fan, its cool. She is also uploading a remake in July!
(Also, somebody who has a Fandom account, please update the wiki, I would but I don't know how and I think i would fuck it up)
