And she flows, flows with so much grace and beauty. Sitting by her side on a lonely afternoon, I shared my heart with her. I told her many stories, I laughed when she touched my feet, I got amused the way she made her way through those rocks. It seemed like she heard my tale, it seemed like I loved her grace. But she splashed on my face to tell me that she does not even really care, what my stories are. She has to flow and keep on flowing. The love for her was instantly replaced by dejection.

But, then, she took every single story of mine along with every single wave of hers.

Now, as you are gone and I have moved on

I have replaced everything that belong

Once to us.

I scrubbed your touch off my skin.

I smell no more Like vanilla,

I am more like Jasmine.

I forgot your warm embrace at night

I no longer clutch the heaviness tight

I don’t wait for your feet to touch mine

I no longer long for your humming

I pour my own wine.

And I breath not what you breath out

I am clean

Of you;

I have given up every memory

Every morning glory

And every dark night

To my future bright.

But, how can I forget the poem I have written for you

I owe you that one and you will never know.

It’s a bizarre city, growing in geometrical patterns without any soft corner. My city scares me, tall buildings makes me feel insecure and the wave of civilization makes me more inhuman.

How I couldn’t be a “solo female traveler” !

I did want to be one of them. Cool, awakened and inspiring ones. I read much about those brave girls who inspires millions. Luckily I met few of them on my own course. I tried writing my own travel experience.

But, I couldn’t be. I could not travel enough.

Each place I went to, started growing inside me. I developed attachment, expectations with each destination I arrived at. I lack the coolness. I saw questions and the answers haunted me. Questions like, “what’s next?” “I am going to be bored off this place too?” “what if I get too close and too attached” “Am I loosing my identity and just becoming a solo traveler?” and “is it right?” I never dared to find the answers, because I knew them already. I lack the detachment.

I fought gender crisis, age crisis, moral crisis, and which side won I am uncertain. But, this “tag” bothered me. Actually both the “tags” bothered me. If I want to be like a “local” then why my passion is travelling and if I loved these people so much, why I am “solo”. Being a female is of course more of a terror. I am not even going into the discussion of safety, I have got this rigid feminine nature of fixing things. Which added another question “if I leave who is going to fix this?”

I couldn’t be a “solo female traveler” as I lack the courage.

I lack the courage to detach myself and leave. I lack the courage of “not giving email id to unknown fellow travelers” and “feeling not guilty about replying to the mails”. I lack the courage of non commitment. I lack the courage to commit for long. I lack the courage of controlling emotions.

I couldn’t be “solo” as I seek human interaction. I couldn’t leave a single home-stay without making promises to meet them again. And they just not a part of my story, they became a part of me. I miss them, I think about them, I don’t call them, I can not stop feeling guilty about that. I just can not mind my own business and leave without future promises.

I couldn’t be a “traveler”

I lived as a family member each place I went to, I fought, I cried because of some child got sick, I didn’t fulfill my duties at certain point of time as I knew I need to run away. I am a golden mix of yin and yang. I am devil, even to my backpack. I expected love, warmth, truth and gave back the same. I develop attachment like fungus. I am moody more than I am emotional. I am not a perfect person to be a traveler.

So, I un-tagged from all the above. I am no longer a “solo - traveler”, I am a just a normal human being with very earthly nature.

I better stay a restless soul only to tell more stories of human emotions.
