It shows how urgent things were if there wasn’t even time to find a piece of leather for Emmet to bite on. (No expert but I’m sure there is a necessity for that considering how often they show it in media.)

Hope Emmet is going to be alright after this and is going to live. That Ingo got the whole infection and that he’s able to heal in the best way possible. Both physically and mentally. And able to forgive Ingo. Or Ingo forgiving himself. He thinks it’s necessary but I do think he’s also going through all kinds of stuff for hurting his little brother and hear his cries of pain. Something that he’ll definitely be haunted by from now on.

time was of the esceense ye U-U much information about the infection is unknown at this point: they have no idea how long it actually takes for the infection to take or if cutting off emmets arm where the infection is visible will really purge it from his system.

ingo's urgency and resolution was also a byproduct of the fact that if he didn't cut it off right at that moment ingo knows that he would lose his nerve. emmet struggling and desperate pleading alone had almost caused ingo to call off the whole thing already...(there was a reason why it took two swings to cut off the damn thing)

the road ahead is gonna be a rocky one for sure. ingo battling with his regrets and doubts of how he handled everything, essentially taking away emmets autonomy by going against his wishes (with his rationale that it was to protect emmet being he only thing keeping him sane), and emmet dealing with the trauma of his brother cutting off his arm with terrifying resolution (because if ingo decided to betray his trust again, what could emmet even do? could he stop him the next time?) and the physical consequences of such an action on his mind and body.

Half-formed thought about how Ed asking Izzy if he thought the clouds looked like frankfurters very well could have been him attempting to teach him a lesson, like “hey! you know, when the clouds look like this, that’s often a sign that a fog’s going to set in, that should solve that pesky problem with the Spanish,” and how frustrated he gets that Izzy doesn’t follow along and it’s “like pulling teeth with him sometimes, implying this is a regular occurrence with him where Ed is trying to show/teach him something and Izzy just refuses to see past the nose on his face just because the way Ed demonstrated knowledge to him wasn’t “conventional.”

And compare that with how much fun Ed had showing Stede how to be a pirate, teaching him sword fighting, some of the more advanced tools of the trade, a good fuckery, etc. ... and yes part of that is def just because Ed had some major heart eyes for Stede.

But also, Stede just wanted to learn, and he liked doing things differently. He reminded Ed of the joy he used to feel as a pirate. He brought back that fun and sense of adventure.

And as much as Ed may be sick of being Blackbeard, he still clearly likes showing off a bit, likes showing others the ways of the world’s most brilliant sailor and tactician.

He’s not just Blackbeard the Big Scary and Untouchable, he’s Ed who has something of real value to offer people. And I think he’s been craving being able to offer that, to have that kind of connection with someone where they want to learn what he knows and who appreciate his method of delivery (aka and truly accept him for who he is). Again, not just because he’s a legendary pirate captain, but because they know him and respect him.

And then Stede, and the entire crew of the Revenge, give him the opportunity to do just that, and he thrives. It’s the most open and available they’ve ever seen him. It’s the most fun he’s had in ages.

I hope as the show continues we see more of this, Ed passing on his knowledge and wisdom to others and have them all take it in with the same joy and wonder he once felt, thus once again renewing some of his excitement for his old passion.

i made a rough timeline for the clone^2 au, just for my own convenience sake when dating things. some things might be out of order from the episode date, and thats also for my convenience.

September 3rd: Danny, age 14, has the accident in the lab that turns him liminal

September 10th: Danny is discharged from the hospital and given two weeks leave from school

September 24th: his sick leave ends, and Danny returns to school

October 14th: Danny sneaks into his parents' basement and releases the ghosts they have trapped in cages. Official birth of the vigilante, Phantom

November 27th: Danny fights Pariah Dark, and wins

December 24th: the Ghost Writer torments Danny

February 12th: Danny's 15th birthday

March 3rd: its been six months since Danny's accident

March 7th: Danny fights his evil future self

May 8th: Danny meets Ellie [age 15] and they become twins

December 14th: Danny finds out from his parents that he's a clone

February 12th: Danny's 16th birthday

Early-Mid April: Danny meets Damian [age 6] :)

Mid-Late April: Damian runs off for the first time, damages Danny's hands the first time

May: Damian runs off two more times in the span of three weeks, he damages Danny's hands both times.

Early June: Damian runs off one more time, damages Danny's hands again, resulting in permanent nerve damage.

Mid-Late June: Damian finally gives up on the League coming to get him and joins the Fenton Family.

July: Damian finally coaxes Danny into letting him come along with him on patrol: Wraith is born.

we should all consider mushithaniel (or scarlet crime, courtesy of @just-a-dinosaur-i-guess for that bomb ass ship name and also the brainworms)

they meet while both working under fyodor. nathaniel whose ability is about atoning for your sins—making you face the consequences of your own misdeeds, vs mushi whose ability erases crime. mushi never has to be held accountable, and he meets nathaniel who does exactly that. so obviously they fucking hate each other hehe

imagine nathaniel busy washing the blood off his clothes due to his ability and mushi, who has never had to do that, watches him. and nathaniel says to screw off because what does mushi know about a chore as mundane as this? when he has never had to feel guilt for his actions? and mushi who indeed has never had actual blood on his hands, but still feels stained and suffocated with guilt from killing his best friend

(also the parallel of mushi who killed out of love and nathaniel who is trying to save maragret out of love)

anyway i think they should hold hands and get a little bloody about it and maybe mushi can wash the blood off nathaniel’s face and maybe nathaniel can show him what it means to atone—

I daydream about Gemini AU and one idea I had was that after leaving the Nexus and becoming slightly less codependent, the twins take up independent titles? Like, instead of both being Gemini, Leo becomes Meteor and Donnie becomes Nova or some other astrological name. Not very likely, considering they both seem to be genuinely proud of being Gemini together despite everything, but I thought I'd share this with you.

Oooh, this is kind of a fun thought? Also I'm just absolutely flattered that you daydream about Gemini the idea that there are other people in the world spending time thinking bout my silly turtles absolutely baffles me ; w ; On one hand, I feel like they, at least currently, love being Gemini and sharing a title. They're so incredibly proud of their career as Gemini. But once they leave the Nexus and stop being so codependent, I think they're probably gonna be a lot more likely to sort of... recognize it for what it is? Something used to manipulate them and a part of their mother's attempts to capitalize off of them and control them. And it'll be very hard, because they are Gemini, it's such a huge part of their identity, how do they let that go...? But at the same time, how can they still be Gemini and heal at the same time?

In addition to this, there'll be at least a period where they... aren't performers anymore. (Which is gonna be super hard for them to cope with as well...) If they're not longer fighting in the Nexus, what use do they actually have for a stage name? Why have people call them anything but Donatello or Leonardo...?

(... But I think there will come a time when they eventually pick up an alias again. And I really like the idea of them each having their own names, but still matching...!)
