First Look: The Lotus Evija Fittipaldi
The world’s most powerful production car – the stunning Lotus Evija hypercar – now delivers even more exclusivity and desirability. Inspired by the past to enhance the future, Lotus has unveiled the Evija Fittipaldi, a tribute to one of the greatest car-and-driver pairings that Formula 1 has ever seen.
That driver is, of course, Emerson Fittipaldi, the young Brazilian racer who joined Lotus and became a legend, cementing his place in F1 history in 1972. Behind the wheel of the now-iconic Lotus Type 72 and winning five of that season’s 11 races, Fittipaldi secured the Drivers’ Championship for himself and the Constructors’ Championship for Team Lotus.
Exactly 50 years on, the Lotus Evija Fittipaldi is a fitting celebration of that partnership. Just eight examples of the all-electric two-seater are being hand-built at Hethel in Norfolk, UK – the global HQ of Lotus sports car design and manufacturing – and all are sold. Customer deliveries will begin early next year. It is the latest project from Lotus Advanced Performance, the bespoke design and experiential division of the business launched earlier this year.
Showcasing the world-famous black and gold colour scheme – also 50 years old in 2022 – the hand-painted exterior and numerous other unique design features have been created to commemorate this amazing collaboration. They include a hand-tinted plan view of the Type 72 etched into the exposed carbon fibre roof, and Fittipaldi’s signature hand-stitched into the dashboard.
And perhaps the most emotive detail of all is the rotary dial on the floating central instrument panel. It has been hand-crafted from recycled original Type 72 aluminium, ensuring a genuine piece of the iconic F1 racer is part of each Evija Fittipaldi.

03/04/24: Here's another reduced game. This time Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder's Revenge ps5 is down to $20 at Walmart. Truth is, I saw it a few days ago at another Walmart in the county. But I was debating whether to get it or not. I saw online a new version with more DLC, which now makes this copy here, a vanilla edition. So I wasn't too sure if this game is now clearance or just a price drop. So I didn't grab it. But I went to a different Walmart today and I saw it again. And with my habits of buying games, I may as well get it before I regret it. I'll most likely buy the newer version later in the year if it goes on sale. No denying that. At $20 bucks, it's still cheaper than many other retailers.
And I also got that Lego Speed Champions car for $16 bucks. This one is now an older Lego set too. And it got dropped in price. I saw that there's new models of Lego cars that just came out too, so older ones are most likely gonna be phased out. Let's see if I can get more of these Lego cars for less in the next few months.

Lotus Eletre
This new model, which maintains its own sports lines and is the first five-door production Lotus, the first that is not a sports car, the first 100% electric and the most 'connected' Lotus of all time. The Eletre is the first of three 'battery powered' Lotuses to be shown over the next four years, with a design language inspired by the Evija. Of course, a large SUV, which goes beyond 5.0 meters in length, and with more than 2.0 tons in weight, it seems difficult to frame it within the term 'sportiness', but Lotus has worked to the maximum in the chassis . It includes air suspension with adaptive dampers (CDC) as standard, as well as active stabilizer bars, the selective torque distribution system and the steering rear axle. The car is really powerful. In fact, it enjoys 600 CV thanks to two engines, each arranged on one axis, in such a way that there is all-wheel drive. With that figure, the Eletre is capable of dropping from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.0 seconds and reaching 260 km/h.
