Despite knowing it was a waste of time, Gendry rammed the scoop into the loose sand anyway. Dumping out the content next to the hole, he swirled the pointer around as he couldn't see anything right away. When the incessant high-pitched beeping –he’s gonna be dreaming about that sound later, he’s sure– became more frequent, he went in with his fingers again only to pull out… yep, another bottle cap. Of course those spoiled pricks litter. Not only that, it also makes retrieving the ring that much harder. All these false alarms almost make him want to quit.
He slips the cap into his full pocket where it joins the sixteen other caps he's found around the fire pit so far. Did they find that much trash on that Father's Day too? He only knows they each got to keep something. The mediaeval, hand-forged nail still sits in a designated tin on his bedside table. And the strange coin Arya found turned out to be Braavosi and she carried it around for weeks, showing it to everyone and poring over books to learn everything there was to know about it.

I was listening to "Louder Than Words" from Tick, Tick, Boom the other day & that song is really underrated. All the lyrics are really profound & kinda deep. Why do we do what we do? What does it take to change a person, or the world? Why? Makes you think
