Just a little fish-fish, all tucked in for bed.
Louie would like An Story, please? Will you read to him?

I bought a copy of the Big Little Book Donald Duck: Luck of the Ducks (and I do plan on making an ebook version if no one else has scanned it) and Gladstone, Donald, and HDL get kidnapped at gunpoint for Gladstone’s luck???
The kidnappers hold Donald and the boys hostage and take Gladstone on a jewelry store heist that obviously goes off without a hitch

"That's the 'Star of the Transvaal': the last diamond mined in our shafts and the only one remaining, a memory of old times! It's our symbol! And it's not for sale... expecially not to a pest such as you!"
Dewey: ... the diamond! Unca Scrooge was gifted the "Star of the Transvaal"!
Dewey: You've been rewarded for your good deed! By the way, what's become of the diamond? I don't remember seeing it anywhere in the bin!
...
Goldie: I... really don't know what to say, Scrooge! Thank you!
Scrooge: My pleasure, Goldie!

My headcanon: Donald when he was a teenager and fed up with everything, he wanted to go into space with his sister and play his guitar there, wearing a space suit and becoming the first space musical duck. However, his dreams were crushed by Scrooge. Still, there is hope that his nephews will be the first spacesuit-wearing musical ducks to play on the moon. Yes, they will form a pop rock music group called Ducks in Space. Might as well join Donald and Della in that.

ok but Carlo's story in Scooperia is kinda funny though. imagine Jungkook from btw got mugged in New York and then he was forced to work at an ice cream shop in order to go back home instead of calling someone

“One day he will relearn how to fly.
With broken wings.”
Oh my GOOOOOOODDDDDD 😭
This fanfic I found by accident the other day destroyed me, killed me, tore me in millions and millions of pieces and then burned them and threw my ashes to the sea…
…Then the sea disintegrated me all ever again again and again until the very last chapter… D :
And I loved it. EVERY. SECOND. OF. IT.
If you have the time and the guts to read really hard gore-level situations, do yourself a favor and read Starving Lights. This is definitively one of my favorite stories about the triplets 😭 It will be hard to read during some scenes not gonna lie… but the story and the brotherly love that forges along the darkest moments it’s so good and beautiful that you’ll have the desire to read more and more ❤️
Warming: Don’t be like me and please check the tags before reading this story, so you decide you’re ready to face what’s gonna happen to certain characters. I don’t want to give any spoiler, just let me say that reading it to the end and the respective epilogue is a complete experience ❤️💔💀😵💫🔥❤️❤️❤️ (a good and unforgettable one)
Now I’m gonna read the official What-If escenarios 👀 I’m so not prepared for them :p

why do you think donald changed the triplets names
VERY good question. If I had to guess, at least for the 2017 version where their full names are Hubert, Dewford, and Llewellyn, Donald was probably thinking about names for if the boys eventually wanted to join the professional world (s1e1 literally has Donald interviewing to reenter the workforce, the whole show involves the McDuck enterprises, etc, it adds up). He probably wanted them to have options, but he probably also thought he was being clever with the rhyming names. Cuz I mean, come on. Huey, Dewey, and Louie are iconic names. It's also entirely possible he just wanted to ignore Della and thought Jet, Turbo, and Rebel were dumb and thought "I can do better." Or he truly didn't find Della's note until it was too late, if at all. Honestly who can say. I do think he made the right choice though, much to the chagrin of Turbo.

Who appears the most in Back to the Klondike?
Alright, so I have decided to start trying to calculate every story on the Inducks Top 100. Obviously I'll have to skip some that I don't own, but I'll try calculate as many as I can. Anyways this is the first one!
As always there are spoilers for the story + I only counted panels so page number is just calculated from percentage!
Blackjack - 17 (panels) / 2.1 (pages) / 6.56% (of the story)
Goldie - 35 / 4.32 / 13.51%
HDL - 85 / 10.5 / 32.82%
Donald - 127 / 15.69 / 49.03%
Scrooge - 192 / 23.72 / 74.13%
(My thoughts and additional stats below!)
Per my rules I didn't count Goldie in the opening flashback, since I don't count first appearances in flashbacks. She appeared in 20 panels in the flashback or about 7.72% of the story.
Now for entry and exit stats!
Scrooge - 1 (0.39%) / 259 (100%)
Donald - 3 (1.16%) / 258 (99.61%)
HDL - 36 (13.9%) / 259 (100%)
Blackjack - 140 (54.05%) / 254 (98.07%)
Goldie - 153 (59.07%) / 254 (98.07%
Goldie appeared first in flashback in panel 100 or 38.61% through the story.
We see Goldie out of silhouette for the first time at panel 200 or 77.22%.
This is listed as a Scrooge McDuck story, and it very clearly is!
And that's my thoughts! Despite this project I'm still taking suggestions so if you have any stories you are curious about please let me know! =)
