Leroy Robert "Satchel" Paige was a baseball player whose pitching in the Negro leagues and in MLB made him a legend in his own lifetime. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1971, the 1st player to be inducted based upon his play in the Negro leagues. Paige was a right-handed pitcher and was the oldest rookie to play in the MLB at the age of 42. He played with the St. Louis Browns until age 47, and represented them in the All-Star Game in 1952 and 1953. He first played for the semi-professional Mobile Tigers from 1924 to 1926. Paige began his professional career in 1926 with the Chattanooga Black Lookouts of the Negro Southern League, and played his last professional game on June 21, 1966, for the Peninsula Grays of the Carolina League. Paige was among the most famous and successful players from the Negro Leagues. While his outstanding control as a pitcher first got him noticed, it was his infectious, cocky, enthusiastic personality and his love for the game that made him a star. On town tours across America, Paige would have his infielders sit down behind him and then routinely strike out the side. As a member of the Cleveland Indians, Paige became the oldest rookie in Major league Baseball and attracted record crowds wherever he pitched. On June 8, 1982: During a power failure, Satchel Paige died of a heart attack at his home in Kansas City, a month before his 76th birthday.

Hellsite Nostalgia Tour 2023 Day 207
King of the Damned
Truly, I could not have planned this weekend of HNT better. We’ve got David Tenant back tomorrow AND Metatron trying to convince an angel to help him fix heaven in TWO series…on GO2 release weekend
“King of the Damned”
Plot Description: Castiel captures one of Metatron’s angels and asks Sam and Dean for help. Meanwhile, Abaddon demands that Crowley help her kill Sam and Dean
Would I Survive the First Five Minutes??: as far as I know, I have no connection to anyone Abaddon personally wants dead, so I might be alright. That said, if she decided to kill me, she’s more than welcome to
Oh…these are all angels, and…this one’s being STUPIDLY braggy
Right? Like, don’t go around bragging about how you’re the right hand man for Metatron. Most angels don’t like him
I’m tired of Cas being forced into leadership roles. He fucks it up every time, but angels can’t help but want to follow him.
Cas showing affection still makes my heart melt. Omg. Please. Saying another angel can “be a little stuffy.”
I’m never going to be 100% comfortable with the interrogation (*coughtorturecough*) scenes, but now that the Mark of Cain is amplifying Dean’s actions, I’m even less comfortable with them
CROWLEY’S IN CLEVELAND?!?! …that’s not a real hotel here. (So after some research, looks like it’s modeled after a hotel that used to be here? Or is under a different name here and is super haunted apparently?? Because I needed to make sure before I posted this)
“Nobody in the history of torture has been tortured with the torture you’ll be tortured with” real dialogue from Crowley
Oh…that guy from the first five minutes was Crowley’s son. Ooooo, ok. I take it back. Abaddon can have a scene where she’s doing the torturing, as a treat
Omg. Forget playing whatever music for a Victorian orphan. Just be the king of hell, have your son from 200-some years ago get brought to 2015 or some shit and tell him you traded your soul for three extra inches of dick. It’s even better
Ok…I THOUGHT they left him fine…good to have that confirmation (I’ve been drinking wine so it…was a possibility i missed something)
Oh!! We get (possibly) our first mention of Rowena, Crowley’s mom!!
WHAT HAPPENS TO THE SHIP, CROWLEY??
The way Cas sees some of himself in Gadreel is kinda cool
Uh oh boyyyyyyys, you got a hellhound on your tail?? Omg the way Crowley effortlessly controls it, but like…why was it there in the first place?
Idk I think Sam should take the blade. Like the few moments a different Sam had the One Ring. What if we get a “I can’t carry it but I can carry you” moment for these two??
Wait. Is Crowley’s son’s name actually Kevin? That makes all his torture of Kevin Tran even more SO SICK AND TWISTEEEEEEED. SICK AND TWISTED.
Also, who’s gonna tell this guy he’s already IN and actually PAST “the colonies”
Oh hell yeah!! I love that Abaddon pulled the “devils trap bullet” trick on Crowley while waiting for the Winchesters (I will be so sad to see her go and for however the boys take her out…)
I may not go downtown a whole lot but this…does not look like Cleveland
…but the power of the One Ring First Blade cannot be denied
Please tell me he’s—he’s gonna Jedi mind trick the Blade into his hand.
Please don’t show her too much…I know the First Blade is corrupting Dean but he didn’t need to stab her that much. So thankfully they didn’t linger on the wounds. RIP Abaddon 😭😭😭 you will be sorely missed by me
GAVIN MAKES WAY MORE SENSE FOR AN OLDE TIMEY NAME!!!! But it did sound a LOT like Kevin
Jesus, Deeeeeean. You’re allowed to go it alone but Sam always needs your help and intervention?? The way you’re saying this like y’all could afford to NOT close the gates of hell…I’m usually a Dean apologist, but Sam is in the right here.
Well, now you’re just being an ass by not allowing the blade out of your sight…

I’ve read the Skull Dawgs Gotta Eat Cleveland 2022 U.S Tour shirt . in addition I really love this other answers given here. I sincerely hope that you disregard the advise that encourages you to ignore and openly challenge your father. These people don’t care about you. They want to vicariously live your accomplishing your objective through rebellion without regard to the pain and division that it may incur on your family. Ignore them. I think you’d agree that your father is not preventing you from wearing this clothing because he wants to be mean. If your father brings food to you and cares about your life, he is probably a good man doing what he things is best.Skull Dawgs Gotta Eat Cleveland 2022 U.S Tour shirt, hoodie, sweater, longsleeve and ladies t-shirt Classic Women's

What they won’t ever speak to is I really love this powerful, loveless drive that is often behind the biology. It is natural for a loving father to be concerned and occasionally alarmed when they consider that their daughters may be targets of that drive. Ironically, some women are somewhat less concerned about modesty. They have benefited from the societal restraint and accountability that men have imposed on themselves. What these women have forgotten is what men can never forget. You Can See More Product: https://newshirtonline.com/product-category/trending/ Read the full article

so as a not-cis asian emo whos also from seattle i have endless headcannons about K that i must share (that are hyper specific bc i like to project a bit)
she For Sure went to lakeside high school. she went to middle school at holy names and absolutely hated it which started her goth / rebellious attitude and her parents tried to send her to lakeside only for her to argue them down after her first semester to go to cleveland (which is technically a public school but has such strong private school vibes)
her parents definitely own a house on the lake (bc big professor money) and when she hates being at home shell go sit by the lake and judge all the normals running along the trail
her and sam went to elementary school together and became instant bffs
they matched for every single twin day and even went shopping together to get perfect matching outfits which started the pink pals
they had a routine of going to the tanaka home after school and watching sailor moon reruns together while they did homework
since portland was Literally Made To Be A White Utopia, sam feels kinda weird going from a majority poc, inner-city school to being one of the only poc so she keeps in touch with all her friends back in seattle over discord
this is also why sam has such a strong connection to the internet bc she feels super out of place irl
when sam and k were in middle school, k had just started her emo phase in 6th/7th grade which was just around the time they were getting social media accounts and had to come up with consistent usernames / pseudonyms for Branding™ k obvi went with xXBrokenDreamXx from her fave green day song boulevard of broken dreams and sam got her fake last name from andy biersack (andy black) of black veil brides as that was the only emo / goth person k talked about that sam liked
bc k wanted to be a mermaid as a kid, growing up she would go to starbucks with her parents and ask the barista for a mermaid drink which her parents would explain is just a green tea frap but k would Swear she was getting cool mermaid powers from the starbucks mermaid through the drink
k absolutely lost her mind at the mcr reunion announcement. all her fun red and black eye makeup is from the mcr x hipdot collab that was originally sent to sam as a pr box
k will often get in fights with people online who try and and defend shitty people in the emo community
k started volunteering at the vera project for her required community service hours and absolutely loves it and now goes to see underground punk / grunge bands there all the time
every time one of her fave artists doesnt have a seattle tour stop she writes their management company a very intense and formal email of complaint
she went to warped tour in 2017 and considered being in a mosh pit the highlight of her life pre-gowpenny
her ao3 account is fairly popular and everytime she starts a new fic she gets at least 3 comments asking about her other wips she has not (and will not) finish

Today we remember the passing of Jani Lane who Died: August 11, 2011 in Woodland Hills, California
Jani Lane (born John Kennedy Oswald; February 1, 1964 – August 11, 2011) was an American recording artist and the lead vocalist, frontman, lyricist and main songwriter for the glam metal band Warrant. From Hollywood, California, the band experienced success from 1989 to 1996 with five albums reaching international sales of over 10 million. Lane left Warrant in 2004 and again in 2008 after a brief reunion. Lane also released a solo album, Back Down to One, in 2003, and the album Love the Sin, Hate the Sinner with a new group, Saints of the Underground, in 2008. Lane contributed lead vocals and songwriting to various projects throughout his career.
Lane was born John Kennedy Oswald (later changed to John Patrick Oswald), on February 1, 1964 in Akron, Ohio to Robert and Eileen Oswald. He was raised in Brimfield with four older siblings: sisters Marcine Williams, Michelle Robinson and Victoria Ley, plus older brother Eric, already an accomplished guitarist. With sisters Micki and Vicky and brother Eric harmonizing and playing guitar, Lane taught himself to play drums, guitar and piano by ear by age five. He grew up listening to Cleveland rock station WMMS (100.7 FM "The Buzzard") and was introduced to a variety of music by his older siblings.
With connections from siblings Eric and Vicky in and around the music scene (and with his parents' help), Lane made a name for himself at a very young age. He played drums under the pseudonym "Mitch Dynamite" in clubs by age 11 and with a local band "Pokerface." By that time, his siblings had left for college or marriage, although Vicky was still active in the entertainment industry in northeast Ohio and southwest Florida. Due to Vicky's numerous connections, Lane was able to network with industry execs in pursuit of his dream. Lane graduated from Field High School, in Mogadore, Ohio, a nearby city to Brimfield in 1982.
Lane is credited as the vocalist/drummer on Warrant's Latest and Greatest CD. Throughout his career, Lane would sometimes play drums/acoustic guitar and piano with his band and played the drums in various formats and gigs with other musicians.
After high school, Lane joined the band Cyren, featuring vocalist Skip Hammonds, guitarist John Weakland, bassist Don Hoover (and later Rusty Fohner) with Lane on drums and vocals. Many of Cyren's shows opened for a popular local band called Risque'. When their bassist, Al Collins, noticed Lane's vocal talents, he convinced Lane to form a new band they eventually called Dorian Gray. The new band also included Steven Chamberlin on drums and Dave Chamberlin on lead guitar. Dorian Gray was designed to have Lane as the lead vocalist and to perform original material, but Lane wasn't ready to be the lead singer and quickly returned to the drum kit. Billy Denmead was hired as lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist. After only a few shows, Collins left the band, vowing to put a band together when Lane was ready to be a lead vocalist.
Lane moved to Florida in 1983 with Dorian Gray. He eventually formed Plain Jane with Collins and Chamberlin, adopting the stage name "Jani Lane" (Chamberlin would also soon rechristen himself Steven Sweet). He took the name "Jani" from his German grandparents, who spelled his name "Jani" and pronounced it "Yay-nee."
Lane began vocal training with vocal coach/trainer Ron Feldmann, who introduced him to Creative Engineering, Inc. in Orlando. Lane worked there as a programmer of the animatronic character Dook LaRue, the drummer for The Rock-afire Explosion. His vocal debut was at The Station in Fern Park, Florida.
Lane, Collins, and Chamberlin recorded the first Plain Jane four-track demos at their rented house in Winter Park, Florida. Although reluctant to leave Florida, they rented a trailer in the spring of 1984 and moved to California with hopes of landing a record deal. They were broke by the time they landed at the Hollywood Bowl Motel and resorted to making sandwiches with mustard packets while taking turns calling their parents for cash.
Struggling to make ends meet as a musician, Lane resorted to working in a pornographic video warehouse. The band, along with a new road crew and a few girlfriends, pooled their wages and lived in a two-bedroom condominium rented by new Plain Jane guitarist Paul Noble. At one time there were 13 people living in the crowded space.
By 1985, Plain Jane had become a regular feature on the Los Angeles club circuit and opened many shows for a band called Warrant. Plain Jane's bassist and guitarist both left the band on the same day Warrant's singer and drummer quit. Erik Turner, who had founded Warrant in July 1984, was impressed by Plain Jane's songwriting and vocal performance and invited Lane and Sweet to jam with his band at Hollywood's db Sound in September 1986.
After generating notoriety on the club circuit, Warrant began to attract the attention of record labels. Following an abortive deal with A&M Records over a contribution to the soundtrack for the motion picture Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, the band signed with Columbia Records. The Columbia deal came via the partnering of Warrant and manager Tom Hulett, known for working with The Beach Boys, Elvis Presley, The Moody Blues and others. Hulett became Lane's mentor and friend until Hulett's death from cancer in 1993.
As lead vocalist with Warrant, Lane wrote all of the material for the band's 1989 debut double platinum album, Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich, including four Top 40 hit singles: "Down Boys", "Sometimes She Cries", "Big Talk" and the No. 2 Billboard Hot 100 hit "Heaven." The album peaked at no. 10 on The Billboard 200. Lane also wrote four Top 40 hit singles ("Cherry Pie," "I Saw Red," "Uncle Tom's Cabin" and "Blind Faith") for the second album, the 1990 double platinum Cherry Pie, which peaked at no. 7 on the Billboard 200. Lane also co-wrote and performed with Warrant the song "The Power" in the 1992 movie Gladiator. In 1992, Warrant released Dog Eat Dog, their gold third album, which peaked at no. 25 on the Billboard 200.
Lane left Warrant in March 1993 to pursue a solo career. He returned six months later, helping the band secure a new record with Tom Lipsky of CMC International. Warrant recorded Ultraphobic in 1995, Belly to Belly in 1996, Greatest & Latest in 1999 and a cover album, Under the Influence, in 2001.
Due to personal and business disagreements, Lane left Warrant again in 2004. In January 2008, the band's agent, The William Morris Agency, issued a new photograph of the band with Lane prominently featured, confirming his return to the band. It was the first time that all original members had been in the band since 1993. The band's first show with all original members was in May 2008 in Nashville, Tennessee. Warrant performed a series of shows during the summer of 2008, but by September, the band and Lane agreed to move forward separately due to "too much water under the bridge." Warrant and Lane both continued to perform Lane's compositions live and Lane continued to write for himself and other artists.
Lane became involved in acting in the early 1990s. He made a brief appearance in Caged Fear and appeared in High Strung in 1991.
In 1993, Lane started working on his first solo project. Titled "Jabberwocky," the album represented a significant musical departure from previous work. Between 1997 and 2000, demos of Lane's solo material began surfacing on the Internet, with some bids on eBay reaching an estimated $100 per copy. In 2002, Lane decided to postpone the "Jabberwocky" project and released a new project as his debut solo album. The "Jabberwocky" project remained unreleased.
Lane's official debut solo album, Back Down to One, was released on June 17, 2003 through Z Records and in the U.S. in 2006 on Immortal/Sidewinder Records. It carried a "power pop" sound more closely aligned with the sound of Warrant than "Jabberwocky." Shortly after the album's release, Lane was admitted to a rehabilitation center for alcohol and drug-related exhaustion.
In the fall of 2004, Lane contributed lead vocals for the first ever theme song to a novel, Billy McCarthy's "The Devil of Shakespeare," along with James Young from Styx, Ron Flynt of 20/20 and Chip Z'Nuff of Enuff Z'Nuff.
Lane contributed vocals on the track "Bastille Day" and "2112 Overture/Temples of Syrinx" for the Magna Carta 2005 Rush tribute album "Subdivisions."
Lane had success with the "VH1 Classic Metal Mania: Stripped" discs, where the acoustic version of "I Saw Red" was included on disc 1, a new acoustic swinging version of "Cherry Pie" featured on disc 2, and a new acoustic version of "Heaven" featured on disc 3.
In 2005, Lane became a fan favorite on the popular VH1 series Celebrity Fit Club 2. His problems with alcohol were highlighted and many viewers supported his efforts at recovery.
With the reissue and U.S. release of "Back Down to One" in 2006, Lane attempted to restart his version of Warrant. Although "Back Down to One" was credited as a solo release, Lane assembled a new touring band called "Jani Lane's Warrant." The band's first shows in Michigan were stopped by legal action from former bandmates objecting to his use of the Warrant logo on his posters. Lane subsequently continued touring without the Warrant name and logo.
Lane lent his vocals to numerous tribute CDs during the 2000s. In 2007, he released a solo cover album titled "Photograph," featuring a collection of his tribute contributions.
Keri Kelli and Lane wrote a song for Alice Cooper titled "The One That Got Away." It was recorded by Cooper on his 2008 record Along Came a Spider. Lane also finished work on a side project, Saints of the Underground, which included Kelli and Bobby Blotzer and Robbie Crane, (both from Ratt). Their album, Love the Sin, Hate the Sinner, was released on April 22, 2008 by Warrior Records, and was mixed by producer/engineer Andy Johns, who'd worked with The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin. The album featured additional bass work by Chuck Wright (Quiet Riot, House of Lords). The band was originally called "Angel City Outlaws" when they posted their first two promo singles, "Bruised" and "Exit."
In summer 2010, Lane toured with Great White, filling in for singer Jack Russell, who was recuperating from surgery after suffering internal complications.
On August 11, 2011, the Los Angeles Police Department and local news stations announced that Lane was found dead of acute alcohol poisoning at a Comfort Inn hotel in Woodland Hills, California at the age of 47. Lane was pronounced dead by fire department personnel who responded to a call shortly before 5:30 p.m.

Black History Month: some reading to get you started
Celebrate Black excellence with these titles
A Black Women's History of the United States by Daina Ramey Berry, Kali Nicole Gross
A vibrant and empowering history that emphasizes the perspectives and stories of African American women to show how they are--and have always been--instrumental in shaping our country In centering Black women's stories, two award-winning historians seek both to empower African American women and to show their allies that Black women's unique ability to make their own communities while combatting centuries of oppression is an essential component in our continued resistance to systemic racism and sexism. Daina Ramey Berry and Kali Nicole Gross offer an examination and celebration of Black womanhood, beginning with the first African women who arrived in what became the United States to African American women of today. A Black Women's History of the United States reaches far beyond a single narrative to showcase Black women's lives in all their fraught complexities. Berry and Gross prioritize many voices: enslaved women, freedwomen, religious leaders, artists, queer women, activists, and women who lived outside the law. The result is a starting point for exploring Black women's history and a testament to the beauty, richness, rhythm, tragedy, heartbreak, rage, and enduring love that abounds in the spirit of Black women in communities throughout the nation.
Black Detroit: A People's History of Self-Determination by Herb Boyd
The author of Baldwin’s Harlem looks at the evolving culture, politics, economics, and spiritual life of Detroit—a blend of memoir, love letter, history, and clear-eyed reportage that explores the city’s past, present, and future and its significance to the African American legacy and the nation’s fabric. Herb Boyd moved to Detroit in 1943, as race riots were engulfing the city. Though he did not grasp their full significance at the time, this critical moment would be one of many he witnessed that would mold his political activism and exposed a city restless for change. In Black Detroit, he reflects on his life and this landmark place, in search of understanding why Detroit is a special place for black people. Boyd reveals how Black Detroiters were prominent in the city’s historic, groundbreaking union movement and—when given an opportunity—were among the tireless workers who made the automobile industry the center of American industry. Well paying jobs on assembly lines allowed working class Black Detroiters to ascend to the middle class and achieve financial stability, an accomplishment not often attainable in other industries. Boyd makes clear that while many of these middle-class jobs have disappeared, decimating the population and hitting blacks hardest, Detroit survives thanks to the emergence of companies such as Shinola—which represent the strength of the Motor City and and its continued importance to the country. He also brings into focus the major figures who have defined and shaped Detroit, including William Lambert, the great abolitionist, Berry Gordy, the founder of Motown, Coleman Young, the city’s first black mayor, diva songstress Aretha Franklin, Malcolm X, and Ralphe Bunche, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. With a stunning eye for detail and passion for Detroit, Boyd celebrates the music, manufacturing, politics, and culture that make it an American original.
Black Against Empire: The History and Politics of the Black Panther Party by Joshua Bloom, Waldo E. Martin Jr.
In Oakland, California, in 1966, community college students Bobby Seale and Huey Newton armed themselves, began patrolling the police, and promised to prevent police brutality. Unlike the Civil Rights Movement that called for full citizenship rights for blacks within the U.S., the Black Panther Party rejected the legitimacy of the U.S. government and positioned itself as part of a global struggle against American imperialism. In the face of intense repression, the Party flourished, becoming the center of a revolutionary movement with offices in 68 U.S. cities and powerful allies around the world. Black against Empire is the first comprehensive overview and analysis of the history and politics of the Black Panther Party. The authors analyze key political questions, such as why so many young black people across the country risked their lives for the revolution, why the Party grew most rapidly during the height of repression, and why allies abandoned the Party at its peak of influence. Bold, engrossing, and richly detailed, this book cuts through the mythology and obfuscation, revealing the political dynamics that drove the explosive growth of this revolutionary movement, and its disastrous unraveling. Informed by twelve years of meticulous archival research, as well as familiarity with most of the former Party leadership and many rank-and-file members, this book is the definitive history of one of the greatest challenges ever posed to American state power.
Satch, Dizzy, and Rapid Robert: The Wild Saga of Interracial Baseball Before Jackie Robinson by Timothy M. Gay
Before Jackie Robinson integrated major league baseball in 1947, black and white ballplayers had been playing against one another for decades--even, on rare occasions, playing with each other. Interracial contests took place during the off-season, when major leaguers and Negro Leaguers alike fattened their wallets by playing exhibitions in cities and towns across America. These barnstorming tours reached new heights, however, when Satchel Paige and other African- American stars took on white teams headlined by the irrepressible Dizzy Dean. Lippy and funny, a born showman, the native Arkansan saw no reason why he shouldn't pitch against Negro Leaguers. Paige, who feared no one and chased a buck harder than any player alive, instantly recognized the box-office appeal of competing against Dizzy Dean's "All-Stars." Paige and Dean both featured soaring leg kicks and loved to mimic each other's style to amuse fans. Skin color aside, the dirt-poor Southern pitchers had much in common. Historian Timothy M. Gay has unearthed long-forgotten exhibitions where Paige and Dean dueled, and he tells the story of their pioneering escapades in this engaging book. Long before they ever heard of Robinson or Larry Doby, baseball fans from Brooklyn to Enid, Oklahoma, watched black and white players battle on the same diamond. With such Hall of Fame teammates as Josh Gibson, Turkey Stearnes, Mule Suttles, Oscar Charleston, Cool Papa Bell, and Bullet Joe Rogan, Paige often had the upper hand against Diz. After arm troubles sidelined Dean, a new pitching phenom, Bob Feller--Rapid Robert--assembled his own teams to face Paige and other blackballers. By the time Paige became Feller's teammate on the Cleveland Indians in 1948, a rookie at age forty-two, Satch and Feller had barnstormed against each other for more than a decade. These often obscure contests helped hasten the end of Jim Crow baseball, paving the way for the game's integration. Satchel Paige, Dizzy Dean, and Bob Feller never set out to make social history--but that's precisely what happened. Tim Gay has brought this era to vivid and colorful life in a book that every baseball fan will embrace.

Pairings: Chris Motionless x Reader
Warnings: Smut
Request: “hey! how are you? i was wondering if you could write a chris motionless x reader smut where you are a crew member/friend at diseased and disguised tour. could you write about chris coming off stage sweaty in his bulletproof vest/attire and when they get back to the tour bus there's a lot of sexual tension which leads to other things? if chris could be dominant that would be amazing ♡ sorry if that's a lot! i hope you're having an amazing day x” - Niknakpaddiewak
_____________________________________________
“Man, Cleveland. You guys are fucking crazy! We love you so much. Thank you for coming out tonight and spending your hard earned money to support us but remember, we’re nothing without all of you crazy mother fuckers behind us! Have a great night!” Chris bid the crowd ado, throwing the last rose he held in his hand into the crowd, the signature ending to the Diseased and Disguised tour.
The crowd screamed as the men left the stage, setting their instruments down and conversing with the crew and members of Beartooth, Stick To Your Guns, and Nothing Left like every other night.
That was the thing. This was like every other night. You loved touring and seeing the world but you travelled with about a dozen men then set up and broke down the exact same equipment every night, sold the same merch every night, listened to the same set every night. Tonight, you just wanted to chill on the bus while the guys performed and, as much as you loved them, it was nice to have a few hours to yourself.
That’s why you were surprised when Chris opened the door to the bus that night. “Oh hey, not hanging out tonight?” You asked. He usually hung out with everyone backstage for at least an hour or two after the show or met up with fans.
He reached into the fridge to grab a water bottle, “Nah, not tonight. Meet and greet was before the show and I’m ready to just chill tonight.” He plopped down heavy on the far end of the couch from where you’d been browsing on your computer.
“Understandable. I had to get away tonight too.” You agreed. He nodded, gulping down half his water in one go and flicking on the TV.
From a few feet away, you couldn’t help but notice how attractive he was. You’d never thought Chris was unattractive by any means but this is different. Tonight, he’d only worn a tank top under the signature bulletproof vest he’d been dawning all tour and his muscles rippled under the black paint on his arms.
“Like what you see?” Chris asked with a laugh.
You shook back into consciousness, not realizing how long you’d been looking at him, “Don’t flatter yourself,” You snorted, “I just zoned out.” You quickly returned back to your mindless scrolling on the internet but now you weren’t paying any attention to the information in front of you.
The air began to hang thick on the bus and you shifted uncomfortably, starting to feel hot. Chris leaned back against the couch, reaching his arms behind his head. You bit your lip as you peered over your computer screen at him. What was it about him tonight? He was usually your friend so what was it about him tonight that had you feeling some sort of way? I mean, his makeup was sweat smudged and he wasn’t doing anything but sitting there but you couldn’t help the undeniable ache he was sending through your core.
“You sure are having a hard time keeping your eyes off me tonight.” He teased, wiggling his eyebrows.
“I was just thinking about how bad you must smell.” You quipped back, nudging him in the side with your foot.
Again, the silence. That awkward silence that made you feel something sexual towards him. Was there any way that he could be feeling it too? Did you want him to be feeling it too?
Unable to take the tension anymore, you stood up and walked up to the fridge, finding one of your bottles of Naked juice and leaning against the cupboards while you drank it, eyes trained on the show Chris put on.
Chris hoped he wasn’t being obvious as his eyes scanned up and down your legs. Those little lounge shorts that you were wearing had some effect on him tonight. He couldn’t explain the way he was feeling but it was new and he had a hard time controlling himself.
He watched as you floated back over to the couch to sit beside him. This time you were right next to him, your shoulder pressed up against his bicep. Chris shifted a little, noticing the contact but trying not to act weird about it. The large sweater you were wearing shielded your skin from his but he wondered how soft your skin would feel without the sweater.
What the hell, man?! Chris scolded himself. He cleared his throat loudly. There was a vibe. There was definitely a vibe right now and it was undeniable but he didn’t want to make a move just in case he was misreading things.
Beside you, you noticed Chris’s leg bouncing rapidly to the point where it was shaking his body against you. You chuckled slightly and put your hand on his leg, “You good?”
His eyes flashed down to your hand on his leg that stopped bouncing abruptly at the contact. Chris shrugged, rubbing his hands together, “Yeah, yeah, I’m fine.” He nodded with a nervous smile, looking down at you.
“Do you wanna make out?” The second the words left your mouth, you froze, eyes wide. “Shit did I say that out loud?” Judging by the way that Chris looked at you slack jawed, you were pretty sure you did.
“Fuck it.” Before you could react, his lips were on yours. One of his hands held your cheek gently in stark contrast to the ferocity in which his lips crashed against yours.
This wasn’t happening. There was no way you were actually making out with your friend right now. Something told you, though, that this wasn’t all you’d be doing tonight.
You parted lips just long enough to move to straddle Chris’s lap, your legs settling on either side of his hips. “Fuck.” He moaned against your mouth when you ground yourself into him. You smirked slightly against his lips, taking the opportunity to bite his lip.
Both of his hands reached up to grip your ass tightly, fingers digging harshly into your flesh, “U-uh.” He tsked, leaning down to bite your neck hard enough to make you gasp a little.
His tongue slipped between your lips as he harshly took control, using his grip on your butt to guide your movements, pressing your core down harder on his growing bulge. A small whimpering moan escaped your lips at the friction, your thin bottoms doing little to shield you from the rough fabric of his jeans.
Chris moved one hand behind him to press his body up and layed your body down across the couch, kneeling one knee between your legs and keeping the other foot on the ground. He hovered over your body, propping one arm on the backrest of the couch.
He leaned back down to kiss you fiercely again, this time his hand beginning to creep under your sweater, just enough to hint at what he wanted to do without pressing himself onto you too forcefully.
You nodded against his lips, giving him permission to continue. His fingers trailed gently along yours sides, almost tickling you, before they finally found your bare breasts, kneading them in his palm, “No bra?” Chris questioned in perverted shock like a 14 year old boy.
You rolled your eyes, “I was chilling alone on the bus. So yeah, no bra.” You reached up to pull his face back down onto yours. Under your shirt, he rolled your nipples between his finger, causing you to moan against his lips. You reached down with your free hand began to palm him through his jeans.
He dove down and began sucking your neck, groaning against your skin. You jumped when he bit a sensitive spot on your neck and soothed it with his lips. You began to try to take his shirt off before you remembered the vest, “So how do we get all this off?” You asked with a cocked eyebrow, gesturing to his vest and shirt.
“I don’t know. I kinda like it on.” He bit his lip, his tone telling you that this wasn’t coming off. Chris felt powerful in the vest. It was one of the reasons he wore it for the shows and now he realized that the thought of fucking you relentlessly in it sent his blood rushing to his dick.
“But I want to touch you.” You whined, running your hands along his arms.
He looked down, chuckling, “Sorry. Besides, what if somebody walks in? We can’t be completely naked.” Something told you he wasn’t really all that sorry. You had a feeling he was getting off on telling you no, on being in control. “Now how about you go ahead and take those sexy little shorts off?” He demanded, smacking your thighs slightly.
“Whatever happened to not being naked?” You questioned, not actually objected to getting naked.
“Whatever happened to you doing what I said?” His sudden dominance went straight to your core and you obeyed without being able to stop. You slipped out of your little shorts, taking your panties with them. They were discarded on the ground as your legs fell on either side of Chris’s body, knees bent slightly.
Chris ran his hands up and down your thighs, reaching up briefly to push your sweater up over your breasts so he could get a full view. “God, you’re fucking beautiful. Can’t believe I’ve been missing out on this the whole time.” He thrust his fingers towards your mouth, “Suck.” He demanded.
You obediently took his fingers into your mouth, sucking as if they were his dick. Once they were wet, he withdrew his fingers and ran them through your folds, “You’re so fucking wet. I’ve barely touched you and you’re already dripping.”
While he toyed with your clit, he leaned forward and sucked one of your nipples into his mouth. “Oh my gosh…” you breathed out, back arching into his touch. “I need you.”
“Say it again.” He demanded, switching to give your other nipple attention.
Your fingers tangled in his hair, “Please, Chris, please I need you inside me.”
He sat up enough to undo his pants and shimmy them down enough to pull his mostly hard erection out. He pumped himself a few times, his member growing with each stroke. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out his wallet and unwrapped the condom he had stored in there. He rolled it onto himself while you watched, biting your thumb in anticipation.
Chris looked down at you, “You keep staring at me like that, you’re not gonna be able to walk tomorrow.” He lined himself up at your entrance after running his tip along your slit a few times.
“Is that a threat or a promise?” You asked.
“It’s a fucking promise now.” He entered you roughly, not allowing you adjust to him before thrusting into you at a fast pace.
Taken off guard by the suddenness of his action, you reached up to grip the fabric of the couch tightly, biting the back of your other hand. “Shit.” You threw your head back against the cushion, pleasure overwhelming your senses.
Your breasts bounced aggressively with each thrust into you and Chris found himself watching them like his life depended on it. Chris pulled out of you and smacked your thigh, “Up. Turn around, bend over.”
Craving him to be inside you again, you quickly did as he said, rolling off the couch and bending over, hands on the backrest, and ass in the air. Chris tightly gripped your hips and slammed into you again, pulling your body back against him in time with his thrusts.
In this new position, he hit that spot inside you that made you toes curl, “Oh fuck. Holy shit, Chris.” Your head fell down between your arms and your eyebrows knit as that familiar knot built up in your stomach.
“Don’t want to get caught, now do we? Now be a good girl and don’t make any noise. Only good girls get to cum.” Gosh, even his threats were sexy.
His thrusts began to get sloppier and you knew he was close. You too were on the verge of falling apart right then and there. “I’m so close.” Your voice was more desperate than you’d intended it to be.
“Don’t cum till I say so.” He reached around to start rubbing harsh circles on your clit again. The band in your stomach was getting close to snapping.
“Chris, please.” You begged, your legs beginning to shake.
Your begging threw him over the edge, “Cum.” He gave the signal and your orgasm flooded over you like a tidal wave, your weight collapsing forward into your arms. Chris spilled into the condom, his cock twitching inside you as you both rode out your highs.
Both of you panted heavily as you felt him soften inside you when suddenly there was a loud knock on the door. “You have thirty seconds to get dressed before I come in!” Vinny yelled from outside the bus.
You both jumped, Chris quickly sliding out of you and stuffing himself back in his pants. “What the hell are you talking about?” You asked, trying to sound nonchalant, as if you hadn’t just been getting railed by Chris.
You quickly readjusted your shorts as you stood up. Chris sat on the couch to look as normal as possible when the door burst open much sooner than thirty seconds later. You scrunched your eyebrows at Vinny and looked annoyed at him, “Why on Earth would you assume we didn’t have clothes on?”
Vinny had the cocky, knowing expression of a high schooler when he stepped up the stairs onto the bus, laughing when he saw you guys. He turned to look back outside and shouted, “Ricky! I was right! They were totally fucking!”
You turned beet red. “Grow up, man. We were not.” Chris brushed off.
Ricky ran up the steps and barged onto the bus too, laughing with Vinny when he saw, “Damn, guys! Get it!”
Just as you were about to protest your innocence, Vinny held up his hand, “Don’t even try to deny it! One, it smells like sex. Two, we saw the bus rocking from outside. Three, Y/N, your neck is covered in Chris’s makeup.”
You groaned loudly, burying your face in your hands that were covered in your sweater. Why didn’t you think of the damn makeup?

Book Review…The Door of No Return by Kwame Alexander Kofi Offin dreams of water. Some say he moves like a minnow, not just an ordinary boy so he’s hoping to finally prove himself in front his friends in a swimming contest against his older, stronger cousin. But before this can take place, a festival comes to the villages of Upper and Lower Kwanta and Kofi’s brother is chosen to represent Upper Kwanta in the wrestling contest. Encircled by cheering spectators and sounding drums, the two wrestlers from different villages kneel, ready to fight. The match is over before it has barely begun, when the unthinkable a sudden death occurs. As his world turns upside down, Kofi soon ends up in a fight for his life. What happens next will send him on a harrowing journey across land and sea, and away from everything he loves. The Door of No Return is a powerful middle grade historical fiction book! It was hard not to like Kofi as he navigates the ups and downs. I loved the references to Shakespeare! It's a story about love, betrayal, loss, and survival. It's a fast read especially since it's hard to put down once you start reading it. The writing is beautiful! I can't wait for the next book! Thank you Tbr and Beyond Tours and Kwame Alexander for sharing this wonderful book with me! #TheDoorofNoReturn #tbrandbeyondtours #kwamealexander #booktours #bookreview #books #bookstagram #middlegradebooks #historicalfiction #kidslit #bookstagrammer #booksta #booksy #bookrecommendation (at Cleveland, Ohio) https://www.instagram.com/p/CjHCpLTLH95/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
