I'm not bribing or anything, but there's at least one (1) person who would love to see a follow-up of love in a hopeless place...
I mean Alice needs Benedict to officially sign the adoption papers & Violet needs to meet Sophie so she can be adopted too!
😂😂😂 just adding to my ever growing list of shit to write?
Let me re-read it myself this week and I might write a shortish follow up.
Maybe…
See this is why I don’t write fluffy ones shots very often anymore 😂😂😂😂

Chapters: 37/?
Fandom: The Handmaid's Tale (TV)
Rating: Mature

Relationships: Serena Joy / Original Female Character
Characters: Serena Joy Waterford, June Osborne, Original Female Character, Rita Blue, Baby Joy, Moira Strand, Mark Tuello
Additional Tags: Pregnancy, Life after Detention, Hormones, Fantasy, CIA Handler, Hockey, Cats, subarus, Flirting, Slow Burn, child birth, birthing coach, Lamaze Classes, Anger, Fear, Apartment hunting, Danger, Kidnapping, Protesters - Freeform, Security, Lesbian Character, Gender traitor potential, Foul Language, Swearing
Summary:
This takes place where Season 4 ends. Fred Waterford has been killed, Mark Tuello has betrayed him, and Serena is left in confinement, her status unknown. Serena is still very pregnant. I have no idea what they are going to put Serena’s character through in Season 5, but I’m managing my anxiety about some of the unpleasant “ideas” being bandied about and writing my own version. Laura Churchill is a character I created in another Serena/June fic. I’m very attached to her, and I wanted to write a story focused on her relationship with Serena.
With a new handler, Serena is trying to make a life for herself and get through the last stage of her pregnancy, while managing her fears about June Osborne stabbing her in her sleep and stealing her baby. Some, but not all of her fears are unfounded.
Luckily, she has someone on her side--and she's way hotter than Mark Tuello.

The fact that Main-verse Ooo is as good and as kind as it is (relative to the other universes shown so far, at least, it's obviously not perfect) all because of the same character that starts off as the OG series' antagonist, the person we were made to see as the bad guy (albeit an often ineffectual one) for several seasons, is making me lose my mind.
Imagine finding out the guy you spent your childhood beating up and saving princesses from is in fact a driving catalyst behind you being able to exist, and not only exist but also live in a world that knows what kindness is. All because that man, the same man who you've witnessed do terrible things, once met a little girl and taught her how to be good.
Simon's story really shows us that even if you lose your way and forget how it is to be good yourself, the world keeps the memory for you. That act of love Simon showed Marcy by protecting her and seeing her as more than the monster she thought herself to be created ripples upon ripples, small at first but eventually enough to help give their wreckage of a world—a world that easily could have been forsaken, its goodness overlooked because of its inhospitable remains—a chance to grow into something beautiful. Because of those very same ripples Simon created, the people of Ooo grew up in a world where they know enough about kindness that they were able and willing to spare the 'bad guy' some, to see beyond the wreckage and allow him to grow too.
In saving Marceline, Simon helped to not only to save the world, but also himself.

I romanticize everything,
to the point of self-destruction.
I fabricate love stories in various places,
leading to isolation.
There are so many places
I can no longer visit because
I've given them away to love.
Throughout my life,
I've always been the one
responsible
for breaking
my own heart.

inspired by this great edit by @thestarlesssaint :
in an alternate universe, they meet again after 5 years and fell in love
Eddie remained there, in Hawkins with his uncle -until Wayne had a heart attack on a february's night, and their trailer became his trailer. Bills has to be paid, even for an outcast, so he took a job at the plant. Family tradition.
Chrissy left 5 years ago for college and didn't come back, only for Christmas or other family reunions - until a phone call during her internship ("Your mother just had a stroke. We fear for her health.") and against any logic, she fears for it too.
The two of them meet again for the first time at The Brick (the new bar following Benny's Burgers) that Chrissy entered for a phone call to her brother - something about their mother's drugs she has to buy at the pharmacy but she forgot the list made of complex names....
"Chrissy Cunningham."
I know that voice. Her head turns slowly and finds a pair of warm brow eyes and a crooked grin by the counter, drinking a fresh Busch.
"Eddie Munson," she replies back, using the same tone.
"Well, Chicago’s air seems to suit you," he takes another sip of his beer and stands up, moving a step forward. He's still noticeably taller than her. "You look good."
"You too. I mean, you look..." her hands gesture to his short hair, "different."
"Yeah. Buzz cut. Again." The answer, alluding to their conversation at a picnic table years ago, relieves Chrissy -she is not the only one remembering every second of it. "It was highly suggested to me to do it when I was hired at the plant. Security things and stuffs like that... whatever. It is growing back."
She smiles and wishes she didn't have to go to the pharmacy before closing time. It is so natural, easy, pleasant to be beside Eddie, contrary to all the other people from her past she bumped into during the last 48hours. When it comes to him, the perspective to know every details that happened in his life these past 5 years sounds captivating.
"I’m very happy to see you Eddie," Chrissy whispers, and the way his hold around the Busch’ bottle tightens imperceptibly tells her that he returns the sentiment. "How are you?"

Giving up to peer pressure (and by that I mean @tomasitaoficial 's)
My personal interpretation of
King Asmodeus
Prince of Lust, Lord of sex demons, Nephillim, Amaymon's protégé, unofficial representation of Wrath and Sloth.
Each head expresses the extreme version of his current state of mind;
The Bull is wrath, desperation, impotence and other similar emotions. It tends to express the King's honest and brutal opinion on things and is the most comfrontational. It's mouth is hot as lava and can even spit fire.
The Ram is depression, hopelesness, compliance and nihilism. This head shows Asmodeus' more grounded, although pessimistic, views. It tends to defuse conflict, even through self destructing ways to lower tensions. Of course, it's also a big yes-man. It's mouth is ice cold like a corpse.
The human head is mostly a mystery, it has been dormant for a long time. It used to be awake in Ozzie's youth, but at some point after being caged in Hell, it's consciousness seemed to fade away. Ozzie's top clients say it's mouth is barely warm but soft enough to get the job done.

I had an appointment with my psychiatrist and conducted it from a walmart parking lot, which is like a cosmically funny place to have an appointment with a psychiatrist I think.
