cross posting yesterday's rambling thread for posterity and because tumblr lets me edit things. anyway this is a sorta long thing and i might add things i forgot to mention in the twt thread

i tend to draw on-model canon because im a coward + just personal preferences. but the way i convert the canon designs into my artstyle is that i take the distinct features oda gives them and then combine it with personal headcanons to complete what should look like a unique human. Starting with Trafalgar Law, who is unfortunately a bland-ass conventionally pretty boy

someone commented a while ago the law hat drawing tutorial i made a while ago didn't make much sense and i realize its bc of the specific way i draw law's face: heart shaped (ba-dum-tss). That meaning, a narrow chin widening into a mild defined jaw, wide cheekbones, and up to his know-it-all brain dome.

given that, the pudgy guitar pick shape of his head i mentioned here should make a lot more sense.

i don't think this design point is unique to me, as most conventional pretty anime boy gets given jaws like this. a lot of law artists tend to veer into this head shape. just how life be sometimes. other points: flat, thick eyebrows is bc im a hairy gal and i need to feel better about myself.

Killer gets to be more interesting, because he shouldn't be considered conventionally attractive. my idea behind killer's is that those individual features is smth he would be insecure with enough to hide himself in a helmet but i draw him with all the love in the world actually. i'd like to think its how kid sees him or yknow, law, bc he's my kin assigned blorbo and maybe you ship lawkill as a guilty pleasure too i mentioned before (and ruined people's days) when i said whenever i draw killer he looks like griffith before i put on his goatee. the upper half of his face is distinctly feminine, with the lower half kinda over compensating. other than that uhh...idk. stan killer

Kidd is the bane of my existence, i feel like i can never draw his face consistently. yet at the same time he's so damn fun to draw everyone gotta try it.

my problem with kidd is that this mf does have eyelids. most kidd painters out there interpret this as him having deep set eyes (think Matt Smith or jeffrey star) . and yeh skill issue on me i should practice that. other notes, i try to make him younger than canon makes him look. he is my babygirl and he deserves to look cuddly. my band au kidd version has the honor of being allowed some chubs. he's just tries to look older and more menacing with edgy makeup. also i try to give him dimples when i can because, well i can.

Rosinante last bc i lost steam after kidd. the thing abt cora is that aside from not having eyebrows, everything is structured with the generic one piece man template. which means i gotta do everything myself doffy is there bc the way to figure out how to draw these two is to give them minor differences from each other, that being doffy gets slightly sharper features. in canon, these two are also rly wide boys (more of an oda style feat tbh) but i make them long. though bigger brained donquixote artists know that of these two brothers, doffy should be the wiry-er built. anyway that's it. in conclusion, i need to draw more girls actually i feel like im becoming misogynistic by osmosis from oda's style and now i draw girls all looking the same too.

hi im anon from (734828727660412928/npd-culture-is-deciding-to-give-up-on-friendships?source=share) (hopefully that link works, I don't use tumblr often so I'm not sure how to go about following up asks on anon). just came back to read this blog during a really bad crash im having right now because it cheers me up to know im not alone in having symptoms of this disorder and saw my ask got posted...

(update on friend situation) just today they said in the group chat theyre all drawing gift art for each other and other friends... i'm still waiting on the paid art from them but they're doing art trades and stuff for free so i feel kind of like trash. im a bit of a bleeding heart though so im gonna give them like one more month before telling them not to bother finishing the art for me... id love my money back because it did cost a LOT of money but i dont want to be a dick so im just going to express my disappointment by telling them not to worry about the commission at all. i want to feel like i have some right to be mad in this situation but im very soft hearted and dont really have any other friends so if i lost these friends id have literally nobody else in my life :( and that kinda feels like hell for me to think about... i feel like im being treated like dirt but im still going to go christmas shopping for them.............. even if i feel like shit, i feel shittier if i dont get people gifts and stuff because i just think to myself, like, "i feel like crap if nobody buys me shit for holidays or my fucking own birthday and i dont want other people to feel that way".....

also im feeling a little sad because whenever my friends talk about their friends they dont even refer to me by name theyll go "[friend a name], [friend b name] and oomfie are in our server" or something. im not even a name to them... i feel like the last kid picked on a team but not even the last pick. like have you guys ever been on a sports team and you kinda got awkwardly waved over to one of the teams because nobody even wanted to pick you? yeah.

i wonder if im just really dense and need to pick up on hints that people dont even want to be around me. i even tried to post this video game i started working on lately because i thought it was really interesting and cool and i put my soul into it but everyone just ignored it in the group chat.

i think the social outcast route is probably my best bet at this rate, i think. im going to be pretty fucking depressed about limiting my social interactions but i think the depression from isolation isnt as bad as getting constant narc crashes from people not putting even a tiny bit of energy into friendships. like.. i honestly am not asking for very much. i get fucking narc highs if someone uses my fucking name in a conversation. i get highs from literally the bare minimum fucking interaction of anything directed in my direction im so desperate....

Your husband never let you go. After the both of you had your cuddle or slept together, Jumin Han made sure to stroke your soft skin and inhale your scent, feeling at home.

He didn’t really have a light sleep and could always sense you moving around and so, when you were slowly turning around in your shared bed, Jumin thought you had to get up, get some water, or go to the toilet.

The black haired man let you move around, withdrawing painfully his arms around you and suddenly, he heard a nasty noise.

Jumin jumped up. The sleep he felt was seconds ago as his heart was beating crazily in his chest.

You were laying on the floor, one leg still up on the bed while you rubbed your head. ,,Good Morning,“ you smiled, making him calm down a bit. But only a bit. 

He was only at ease after the doctor checked you up.

This was the first and the last time you could ever fall from the bed because Jumin made sure to have some protection put around the bed.

He also made sure to never ever let go of you.

Zen

His beauty sleep was one of the most important things.

No beauty sleep, no perfect start to the day, and so usually Zen had a pretty heavy sleep.

The white haired man never heard you falling from bed. He didn’t even notice the fact that you weren’t lying in bed anymore, but were instead on the floor.

Only one day, when he already had a kind of rough night, he heard something moving around and a louder sound.

It sounded as if something fell.

Zen‘s eyes were still closed. His ears were trying to focus on the noises as he heard the birds singing, helping him realize that it was early in the morning.

His slender fingers were slowly moving on the bed sheets as he could feel the still warm place you should sleep on. Not feeling your presence, not having the chance of pulling you to him and hugging you, Zen opened his eyes. He blinked a few times until he realized that your arm was on the bed.

Scared you could have collapsed while getting up, Zen was quickly on all fours, looking down just to see you rubbing your eyes.

,,I never once woke up on the bed,“ you laughed, taking the helping hand he gave you to get up.

Zen didn‘t like the blue spots on your back and since then, he always made sure to get up earlier than you and hold you until you woke up.

,,So much better ever since you took care of me,“ you smiled happily, giving him the good morning kiss he deserved.

Yoosung

Since Yoosung still had to go to his classes even after the wedding, the young boy was never there when you had to get up.

Although, he always left you the cutest notes and freshly made breakfasts.

And since, on the weekends, you made sure to wake up early and prepare something nice for him. Yoosung never knew that you regularly fell from the bed in the mornings to wake up.

He didn’t notice until one day when he actually overslept because the power wasn’t working.

A loud noise made him jolt, wake up from his wonderful dream, and realize that something was wrong.

,,Ugh, I‘m tired of this,“ you groaned, making Yoosung blink a few times as you slowly got up.

,,Yoosung? What the heck, it’s late!“ you noticed.

For Yoosung, this wasn’t as important as the fact that his wife was laying with her body on the floor, although he came to realize too that he was missing an important class at the moment.

The two of you actually noticed that Yoosung never noticed that habit of yours and you even laughed about the hilarious situation.

Seven years passed and Yoosung never managed to keep you from falling.

No pillows helped you to fall soft, His arms he made sure to wrap around your body, never stayed on you and nothing seemed to help.

It wasn’t until the day the two of you found out you were pregnant that Yoosung seemed to take your habit more seriously.

,,Yoosung, this costs too much,“ you groaned as he and Zen made sure to put a net on your side to hold you properly.

,,Nothing costs too much for my wife and my baby,“ he stubbornly hissed, making Zen proud with his cool behavior.

Jaehee

The woman didn’t sleep heavily.

As soon as her eyes were just a bit heavier, she could already react to her surroundings.

The first night the two of you finally managed to sleep in the same bed was already programmed to be a restless one for her while you peacefully slept on your side, smiling to yourself.

Jaehee was turning around on her half from one side to the other, mostly because she was nervous because she liked you so much that sleeping seemed way too hard.

But when she finally managed to fall asleep, everything felt just so much better. Her body felt lighter and she felt at ease.

That was until she heard something fall, a groan, and something moving on the mattress.

When she opened her eyes, the only thing she could see was you trying to get on the bed once again, struggling as you were still half asleep.

,,Mc…why are you…?’’ she mumbled, rubbing one eye before her hand tried to reach out for yours to help you up.

,,I don’t know. I never managed to stay on my bed whenever I had to get up.

As soon as my clock rings or I want to get up, I fall from the bed,’’ you smiled, embarrassed and flustered that Jaehee knew that side of you, the clumsy one.

Jaehee could finally laugh and the nervousness from the entire night was minimized.

Throughout the day, Jaehee was pretty sleepy, but at least she didn’t have to worry about how to fall asleep and or how to wake up because you always made a loud noise when you fell.

Although, she made sure to put away anything that could hurt you while falling.

Saeyoung

Sleep deprived.

If one word could describe him, Saeyoung would use that word, next to words like aggressive, angry, and scared.

He was in the room with you, in Rika’s apartment, and suddenly his world began to crumble.

Acting nicely to you wasn’t an option anymore and even though he didn’t want you to be in pain, he knew very well how much he hurt your feelings with his behavior.

Once again, the sun shone on the new morning, welcoming his pale face as Saeyoung turned his head to you.

He observed how you nuzzled your head into the probably soft bed sheets, how you smiled and slowly turned around.

Saeyoung watched you intensely and somehow didn’t notice that the slow turns you were making were awfully dangerous for making you fall.

And indeed, the fall happened.

Saeyoung was still watching you as you fell with one side on the hard floor, the blanket over you as you laid on the cold floor, waking up in a pretty rough way.

He was shocked. Did he just watch you fall?

,,Morning,’’ you groaned as you noticed his eyes on you, rubbing your sore muscle.

,,Don���t worry, it happens daily,’’ you said, wondering if he even worried.

Suddenly, a loud, clear laugh was heard and Saeyoung couldn’t help but laugh about whatever just happened to you.

You suddenly had the urge to laugh with him, not knowing that this perhaps made you grow a bit closer to each other.

Jihyun

,,I’m so happy that you came back,’’ you mumbled, two years later when you finally could hold Jihyun in your arms again, hug him, feel his skin, warmth and affection towards you.

,,You did so well, you worked so hard,’’ you praised him.

But the man craved more than your words. The two of you ended up cuddling together in the cozy couch, falling asleep there, embraced.

It wasn’t until the next morning that Jihyun woke up totally comfortable on his couch.

He slowly woke up and stretched his body, feeling pretty good and wondering how you were already awake.

When he, however, could feel something pretty soft beneath his feet, he noticed that you weren’t awake yet.

,,MC?!’’ he called, wondering if he pushed you away in the middle of the night while sleeping.

You slowly opened your eyes as you adjusted your eyes, recognizing your surroundings.

,,Morning, did you sleep well?’’ you asked him as if it was only a little detail that you were laying on the floor.

,,Yeah, I did, and you…?’’ he wondered.

,,I did, yeah, even better ever since you’re back with me…. and don’t worry, I’m falling off the bed out of habit,’’ you chuckled, finally noticing why he looked so worried.

It made him feel better since he was scared that he pushed you, but this didn’t solve the fact and indeed, Jihyun bought a bigger bed and something soft for the floor so that the fall wouldn’t be as hard…

Sadly, you always landed next to it.

about Romantic Killer (BIG SPOILERS)

ok i just finished watching Romantic Killer and it's so good wtf????????? the plot developed so much better than i was expecting at first?????? Anzu is such a good character and such a good friend????? so i need to ramble about it bare with me for a moment

the show is hilarious and i love how exaggerated the funny expressions are, but it also has some rly serious part damn im legit impressed (Anzu and Kazuki's first hug kinda got me tearing up ngl)

each of the characters is slowly developed so well. like damn. Kazuki's story is specially detailed and it caught me by surprise when they showed the flashbacks of the first episodes after we found out why he became so distant and conscious of people and everything made so much sense. and he felt so realistic in the way he reacted, his struggle to open up and every single time he started feeling anxious and panicking in public was so well done (and i wanted to take him away from the crowd and pat his head every time ugh T_T). i was just slightly dissapointed that right on the last episode he admited that he started crushing on Anzu bc after the entire season of them just being an amazing duo of friends i was so hopeful we would finally get a 'love interest' turned only best friend (bc lets admit its not like she doesnt already have enough ppl interested in her without Kazuki being one of them too). bc i was enjoying headcanoning him as aroace as i was watching :') oh well. maybe if it ends up not having a s2 i can pretend he realized he wasnt in love and he just loves her platonically a lot! if they dont give me the aroace boy i will rip it from their cold dead hands! :D

and i loved the plot twist on how Junta was actually her true childhood friend all along and she took so long to realize... his feelings were totally real awwwww and he is really a sweetheart, i like the childhood friend trope! buuuut i gotta admit im just living for the huge crush Makoto clearly has on Junta. boyo isn't hiding it very well. that scene when Makoto holds Saki's hand and takes her away from the triggering situation? that was gay x lesbian solidarity right there !

and Saki OH MY GOD SAKI. the episode focused on showing how the two of them became friends and how important Anzu is to her and the way she has always defended her and what Saki went through oh god... her story was so realistic and seeing her reaction seeing that stupid ass ex was such a realistic depiction of a kind of trauma like that. she's such a good character im so happy they developed her so well and didnt make her just an irrelevant school friend character!!! (also she's a lesbian i am not taking criticism- /hj)

i need to mention how Anzu is absolutely bisexual btw. her reaction to meeting Kazuki's sister? she literally straight up said "i'll fall for her" c'mon

and Riri!!! omg!!!! little genderfluid chaos gremlin!!!!!!!! i was so so happy that not only Anzu girbossed her way to getting them out of their punishment but she got them to permanently live on the human world AND officially made them one of the love interests??? ULTIMATE GIRLBOSS MOVE Anzu i love you so much dear. so ngl i lowkey would like seeing Anzu end up with Riri/Rio the most ksjefhskdjf badass girl x genderfluid gremlin??? so much potential cmon they literally were punished for breaking magic rules bc they care too much about Anzu that's so fucking cute skjfhsdf

and Hijiri!!!!! from a little annoying rich bastard to a little just slightly annoying tsundere rich baby!!! i really like that he's interested in her and all but ultimately he's just there working and helping her out a lot like he becomes genuinely a great friend??

so yeah. as one can tell from the immense number of written words here i have liked this anime quite a lot. binged it in a day, all at once, no regrets. i'll be happy if there's a 2nd season if it is as good as this 1st one, bc this was amazing! so glad i decided to give it a chance <3 there's even more things i could talk about here but i dont wanna write a novel chapter of a post so i'll stop here LMAO

but really, if you're into comedy, romance and some nice character development, you won't regret giving Romantic Killer a chance :)

ok been putting this off for some time now but it needs to be said. some divergences under the cut

big thing is bangel, i don't really believe that she ever gave him 'hope' in season 7, cookie dough analogy aside, that they'd ever be anything other than what they had been for the last 4 years which was basically just exes who talked about saving the world sometimes. i think that they're just really so much cuter and so much funnier as friends and exes and two people who know that they fundamentally do not belong together, and that's ok. angel was so important to her, changed her, their relationship effected her years down the line ( riley too ) but he's the boyfriend she was in love with when she was a child. and i think apart of buffy growing and learning, is that she's never really going to be able to love him the same way she once did because she's not that girl anymore. and that's ok !! idk what the comics do with them, idrc, i just do know that their breakup/and the staying broken up is really essential to the way i write buffy. also think my beloved cordelia was much better suited for angel than buffy ever was. david fury said something about angel needing a "big smile" and he was right.

ok now the thing i've kinda been dreading lol spikey ... lets talk about spuffy yeah!! so... given all that we know, these 20+ years later, i think im just going to get to the point which is i don't acknowledge the writers' decision to make him an attempted rapist, don't care for it, i pretend like that scene in seeing red never happened. and there's layers to why, but basically, i just think it was unnecessary. the writers' way of punishing not only the audience for making a "soulless" vampire the fan favorite/forcing wh*don to keep him around, but also punishing buffy herself for having sex with him and enjoying it !! there's a lot of implications in that scene, i could go on forever but it was very cheap of them to do it, and basically in my head, spike doesn't need this scene to prompt him into getting the soul back because season six had already been a really good set up for that ie. when warren kills katrina / frames buffy and spike attempts to help her by getting rid of the body etc. it's the "why can't you understand why this is killing me?" and "i dont know why don't you try explaining it" im paraphrasing but that right there is enough for me and most of the audience to understand exactly why he would have gone to get his soul for her. also the "i know im not a man but u make me feel like one." but also just spike's general im not a man im not a demon then what am i ? arc !!! like its right there. i dont need to see my favorite character almost get sa'd by my other favorite character for that point to get across. it was definitely a condescending moment from the writers' room, we see it time and time again. ( most recently we saw it with aegon ii in house of the dragon ) "how do we make a character so evil how do we make the audience hate him ? ah yes rapist !" and im just not going to play into that <3 ( but there is also the subtext and very meaningful metaphor of spike being buffy's shadow self in s5/s6, he is empty w/out the soul - she is empty after being brought back/coming back wrong. he regains his soul in s7, and she is able to heal & love herself etc. etc. )

that's how i feel about that but also !!! i am a lesbian and this relationship has always spoken to me in a very queer way this post explains it so well. i rly suggest everyone read bc thats like . my mind

A/N: i write so much but im rly gonna run out of ideas soon so feel free to fill up my inbox with some asks!!!😼😼

You and keqing, always at the top of the school. Since kindergarden till now. You both now attend the most prestigious, Teyvat High School and are now 2nd years. In kindergarden you both would fight over whose drawing was better, though that only resulted in getting scolded by the caretakers and were forced to go to the naughty corner after apologising to each other. You both would ALWAYS either be the at the top of the school together or one of you would get 2nd.

Everyday after school, go to the library at the same time coincidentally, sit right across each other coincidentally since there were no seats left, give the death stare at each other and study until you both get kicked out of school for staying too long. Even though you both were 'rivals' you two had some kind of bond, you'd always be with her somehow. Keqing would always wait outside of your house in the morning and you two would walk to school and sometimes even going out to the convinience store to get lunch at recess, you both would also walk home together. On top of that, you both also live right next to each other too.

And lately every time you see her, your stomach is full of butterflies. The feeling of warmth when you're with her, you feel comfortable around her. Your heart races everytime she talks to you. She might have even realised how you take longer to respond because you're so distracted with the warmth of her presence.

You two are very busy students as you're part of the student council. You spend your week having meetings with Keqing and some other people a lot, sometimes not even getting to do any of your hobbies. Though that doesn't mean you don't have time at night, although you do, you just spend your night fanatising on Keqing, screaming into your pillow, rolling around on your bed and banging your head on the wall instead of sleeping. Thats when you actually realise what Keqing has done to you. She has totally driven you crazy for her.

However, you've slowly realised how Keqing has been acting weird too. She's stuttering over her own words, avoiding eye contact or technically just blantly avoiding you. She sounds far more worst than you are when you're with her.

Thats until one day, after school as you were going to the student council room back from eating at the cafeteria, Keqing was nowhere to be found. *ding* Keqing had sent you a text message.

Keqing <3 : hey could you come to the school garden real quick?

You: oh sure I'll be there in min.

It had seemed so that all the flowers there had bloomed, the fragrant smell of roses, violets, tulips and more made you mesmerised. As you continued walking, there you saw Keqing standing at the end of the garden. It seemed like she was holding something behind her back. "Liking the flowers? I'm surprised they've already bloomed" she said slowly. "ah yes they're gorgeous and fragrant" you replied. "Just like you Y/N," she mouthed. You were a blushing mess, your heart pounded as if you were running a marathon. "I told you to come here to say that," she handed you a bouqet of *insert your fav flowers* she scoffed. "Y/N L/N, you make me happy, you are my first thought in the morning and the last in the night, when I think of you I immidiately smile, I feel special when I'm around you and although we've rivalled each other because of our academics, from the bottom of my heart, I love you. Care to be my partner?" You were in utter shock, you couldn't move or talk at all. Happy tears streamed down your face. "Of course, I'd love to." you whispered, hugging her. "It's getting late, shall we head home?" she said. You nodded. You both walked to the train station while she offered one of her earphones to listen to music on the ride home. You leaned on her shoulder while she leaned on your head. You both were enjoying the rest of the ride while holding hands. "I love you" she whispered.

Its cute he cares a lot about the ppl at the clinic and i like the scenes where he hangs out and eats with towa and rei so much its cute they are a silly family 😭

i think hes really fun as a nice dad or at least big bro in towas life but that is why i dont like his route romantically its WEIRD THAT WAY LOL... bro u have known towa way too long for this.. please fall for some other dilf or something!! his bad end was too much for me and i have a strong stomach !!! (less so the bugs and more the meth slave thing .. get a better hobby sir!!)

but otherwise i like him! him doing meth warcrimes besides the bug related ones are interesting and the whole mansion part of his route was rly cool and fun to read!! also hes just funny i love that hes always responding to things like -_-????

🍰Rei: I LOVE REI SO MUCH so cute 😭 his was my second fav route in general! hes so sweet and its so cute how much hes always thinking about everyone 😭 i also love how he has so many hobbies he has!! I didnt quite like his route as much from a plot/worldbuilding perspective as much as some of the others+the moneymatch stuff in general was kinda not as interesting just because i think its like. nothing super new or exciting i guess! but im a character writing person so that doesn't bother me lol!

I rly love his self love / acceptance journey.. i am emotional.. even if I visually hate his stupid tiny haircut!! i hope he can lean back into some of his not traditionally manly side after he is comfortable with gender stuff 🥺

I think as a romance route his was rly nice!!! it was cute and sweet and its sweet the ways they support eachother 🥺💖 towa feels very like affectionate in a cat way towards him its cute! I like them as bffs maybe more they are just too cute that way 😭 i want to b reis friend as well

But he also knows that he poses a real danger to others; it's implied he's hurt cookies before when transformed, and he doesnt want that to happen at all costs. So he's scared of getting close to others...he tells himself he's better off alone, not only to protect others but to protect his own heart... and he hates and fears the dangerous side of himself he can't control, the "monster", and thus sees himself as unlovable... (But at the same time, he has sm love to give and wants deeply to be loved!!😢)

I think werewolf would fall rly hard for herb, but have mixed feelings abt dating him... Of course he's really really happy, but he's also scared... and that thing of feeling sad even tho you're rly happy? bc u feel like u dont deserve it/like this feeling isnt meant to last... But I think more than anything else, he'd be scared of hurting/endangering someone he loves... he'd never forgive himself if smth happened to herb... so if herb loves him back, he's beyond happy, but he's like is this really ok if i have a chance of hurting him...

As for what herb could learn from werewolf... im sure there a lot of things but my brain is kinda fried after that incoherent wall of text 🤪 so going off topic but one thing i do like abt 🌱🐺 dynamic tho is i think it lets 🌱 get to be more bold and take more initiative?? bc herb is an introvert type but 🐺 is like... has 0 dating experience and wouldnt ever like try to flirt intentionally or advance a romantic relationship... like i think he's the type to do caring and romantic things without realizing/without the intention of being romantic and wouldnt consciously try to get closer... so i think in the early stages 🌱 would be the one to like. make moves... invite him to drink tea as thanks for helping him out or go for a walk together n stuff... i just think herb would have the opportunity to be a bit more active in advancing their relationship dmgnnd (itd def be a slow burn w them tho🤧) And I feel like herb as a partner to werewolf rly brings out herb's strengths... like his outlook on life and his capacity to soothe and heal... i like to see it 🤧

i think i'm gonna save all the jaehyun talk for the end because there's a lot to unpack. i went back to watch wano after catching up (im like halfway through the arc) and genuinely the animation is so good!! (its also rly funny because they made zoro super sexy at every opportunity.. they upped his fanservice by a million. i love it. as a zoro fan.) its probably worth it to watch the anime for that part if ur interested?? although the pacing is still super slow so it might be better to read the manga first and THEN watch wano if ur still hyperfixated on one piece at that point. i went back to wano cuz i was feeling sad about being caught up and not having any more content to consume.

ive seen clips of the fights and they look so fantastic and cool and hype and AGH . i havent gotten to any big fights yet but its been a lot of fun seeing the characters all colored and .. moving. its also kind of sad to watch though cuz you can TELL some of the voice actors are really struggling. my love franky.. i love his voice acting but he sounds so rough in wano :((. his is probably the most obvious example but if u pay attention u can tell with most of the voice actors who've been doing the show for a long time.

i havent watched the live action because netflix sucks (i dont live with the account owner currently and i HAVE TO if i want to use netflix) but i have seen how many people have gotten into one piece bc of it, and i have seen a lot of clips. and i know people love it and its very highly regarded. (also i kinda love what they did with sanji (i miss his twirly eyebrows though 😭)) so i have a lot of respect for it despite never watching it myself!! im also so excited for "the one piece" bc even though i know next to nothing about it, if its adapting this wonderful universe full of lovable characters in a way that actually HELPS the manga rather than HURTS it.. well. how could i complain.

i DO think u got into one piece at a really good time!! ive heard a lot of "if you want to get into one piece, this is your last chance" and "now is the best time to start one piece" and i think theyre right. although hearing its your "last chance" is kind of anxiety inducing personally LOL. i think itll be really difficult to avoid spoilers after the series ends though so in that sense.. theyre probably correct. at the pace youre going i dont think one piece will end before you catch up. oda's on a 3 week break right now too so imo you have plenty of time!! i think wano is about 150 chapters and theres a LOT going on so it might take you a while, but this is the final SAGA not the final arc dont worry!! im picturing the straw hats visit at least 2 more islands after the current arc. although obviously im not oda so i have no idea if thats accurate LOL

i think no matter what im gonna feel like i have questions unanswered when one piece ends, just cuz i am so insanely invested in . the whole world of one piece. i want to know everything about everything. but i DO think oda will answer the big questions, and i agree that he probably wont just leave us wondering. the newest arc is already kind of answering a lot of questions (and... developing MORE mysteries LMAO)

i hope i didnt make you feel like its WRONG to like sanji bc it isnt!! just cuz i cant get behind him doesnt mean that i think people who like him are bad people or anything remotely like that. i mean. i love doflamingo. and hes an AWFUL person. i hate his guts... but i love him. hes such an interesting character and i want to dissect him and analyze him and . i love to think about him. and hes comforting in some weird way.

so u loving sanji is no issue!! i dont want u to feel like u have to defend urself (although i DO like hearing ur reasoning behind why you like him because its interesting, and it makes me think harder about how i feel about him).

also personally i dont see an issue with consuming media that is problematic in some ways. if the creator is a bad person i think its fine as long as ur not excusing their actions!! i would kind of rather not support oda because i dont like him as a person (which is a personal decision, im not gonna criticize people who support him financially), but i do LOVE one piece and yes. his biases DO affect the story.. but since i dislike oda i usually say "fuck the word of god" and do what i want with the characters. i think its a lot more fun that way!!

sanji is such a mess (affectionately) so i can definitely see the appeal!! half the reason i love one piece characters so much is bc theyre all so SILLY. so unbearably silly. they all have stupid moments, they all have funny moments, and i adore silly people. my dislike for sanji is, mostly, resentment borne out of my intense hatred for being pushed into a box by society. it is almost purely personal. like yes him being a pervert is disgusting and annoying and i hate it, but i think i would be able to ignore it if i didnt feel so personally attacked??? by him?? LOL. i think thats kind of silly tbh . i would usually be able to brush his pervertedness off as a flaw of oda's rather than something to blame sanji for. but since i already have some ... *intense* feelings towards him, the pervert thing just serves to fuel my anger.

but all of that is just My Personal Feelings about him!! i do love him in headcanon/fanon most of the time, and even if i hate him in canon i still also love him purely because hes a straw hat and i love and adore all of the straw hats. they feel like real people to me. and i am obsessed with them. i root for them at any chance and i believe they will find the one piece... if they werent the main characters and therefore guaranteed to find the one piece i would still believe in them 1000%!! <- big nerd thing to say .

also one thing i wanted to ask u about is if u noticed the parallels during whole cake island between sanji taking luffy food and the flashback of sanji taking sora food?? i LOVED that moment. he runs through the rain, has to try to keep a dog from eating the food, and when he finally gives it to the person its all soggy and wet and he apologizes. but they say its delicious. and they smile. i KNOW he was thinking of his mom at that moment with luffy. and i just... ugh.. sanji . sobbing . maybe u talked about rhis and i just missed it but I NEED to know that u saw it.. my favorite sanji lover

YEA THE VOICE ACTORS MANNN 😭 I prefer the dub bc i actually like everyone’s voices and its what im used to (except luffy, i do prefer sub for him) but i know the og voice actors are getting up there in age…Part of the reason i don’t like the sub as much is bc you can tell the VA’s are way older than the characters they’re voicing and it’s just a bit. Odd (as much as i love the VAs and obvi it’d be weird to change it at this point)

netflix does suck !!!! i was living with my bro at the time so i watched it on his account but yea i dont have access to watching it anymore either :( taz skylar my fucking beloved. The live action cast is all insane. Theyre so cute and funny every single one of them. If u have extra time u should watch all the funny cast videos they did on youtube where they play charades and do little prompts together. The clips of them interacting at cons and out doing promo for the show is usually pretty cute too. Opla wasnt perfect or necessary but it was fun as hell and u can tell the showrunners had a passion for the show.

He is so insane and weird and downright evil. i drew him one time 😶‍🌫️My last big fandom back in like 2014-2017 was JJBA and my favorite character as Dio and let me tell you. The similarities between their characters is insane (oda / araki crossover event when,) 

The only difference is that doffy is written to be downright evil, while sanji is supposed to be seen in a good/humorous light even though his worst jokes are uh. Not great joke material (momoiro island and all of sanji’s weirdest pervert gags appears behind me). Thanks oda 👍i still get what ur saying though!

And tbh i dont blame you at all for disliking his (or any) character for personal reasons. Its really not that silly.
