Low Energy/Effort Witchcraft
Are you perpetually busy? Never have any spoons? This might be the post for you. Note that not everything here may be considered low energy or low effort to everyone, and that's okay :)
Carry a crystal around based on what you need. I have a black tourmaline bracelet that absorbs negative vibes throughout the day. I stick it on a selenite slab when I get home to cleanse overnight, then rinse and repeat in the morning.
Put a bay leaf in your wallet to attract money. If you have time, draw a sigil or a $/£/€ on it.
Dedicate anything you drink to your deities if you have any. I dedicate water and black tea to everyone and my favourite raspberry tea to Hathor. Coffee is for Caim.
Enchant your pill case so you remember to take them on time. Enchant your pills to work efficiently. ("Anxiety begone. Ye be banished" on all of my anxiety pills ✌️)
Draw a sigil on your body wash bottle to remove bad vibes or carve a sigil in a bar of soap.
Enchant your moisturizer to repel the evil eye. I fucking love this one.
Incorporate colour magic into the socks you wear (Goths who wear hot pink socks, I'm looking at you).
Enchant your charger so it doesn't break and so you don't lose it. Enchant your phone too while you're at it.
Sorry, I love enchantments--
Uhhhhh
Match those big ol jar candles to different intentions. Burn a cedar candle to cleanse/banish. Burn a cinnamon candle to draw in prosperity. Burn a citrus candle to uplift mood. This one is fantastic for broom closet witches.
Got a humidifier? Fill it up with moon water. You're welcome ;D
Politely ask the spirits of your plants to ward your space. Feed two birds with one scone this way.
Witchy social media. Scrolling on Tumblr and learning something new about witchcraft counts as witchcraft imo. Saving tarot spreads from Instagram for later counts too. Making Pinterest boards for literally anything also counts.
Keep a digital grimoire if doing it on paper costs too many spoons. I have used Google docs & drive in the past but I currently use Notion (You can copy and paste this way!)
If you still want a physical grimoire, print your stuff out and stick it in a binder or glue it in your journal. Boom. Physical grimoire
Listen to witchcraft related videos in the background while you do other tasks or chores in your home
Preparing a meal? Toss in spices that correspond with good health and drawing in positivity, or any other intention you have
Enchant your glasses to help you focus and "read between the lines" or see what wants to remain hidden (this one is a lifesaver at my job)

🌒 Eclipse Energy 2024 🌘
Whenever I want to perform spells or rituals, for some inspiration I always search up some key words: metaphysical, spiritual, meaning, witchcraft etc. What I usually end up doing is taking someone’s spell or ritual they share online and make it my own. In my eyes, that’s how we continue to make this craft that’s become widespread a community- through our shared experiences through the medium of magic. 🌙
That being said, here’s some overall things I found in regards to the solar eclipse 2024:
The Solar Eclipse falls on the day of a new moon. New moons traditionally mark new beginnings. On these days they’re reserved for cleansing, reflection and spending time to recharge. For a Solar Eclipse this magnifies that kind of energy: I’m taking the day to do a deep clean of the home, to meditate and to reset my energy going forward.
As I said, the Solar Eclipse means new beginnings. Next month I’m getting married. I’m going to tie my handfasting cords together on this day, marking the new beginning for my partner & I. 💞
Rituals and spells are always welcome, though not required. I’m going to use candle magic to welcome in the newfound energy. Black is a good one and is used to dispel negative energy among other things. White promotes cleansing and in general is a good basic color used to manifest any sort of spell you’re wanting to bring about. If you’re setting intentions for a new path, this is a good color to choose.
Whatever you may choose, it’s still a magical, thrilling day to watch an astrological phenomenon occur in our sky. Unfortunately where I live it’s cloudy in the city and if you travel both north and south it stays that way, so I’ll be enjoying the energy from afar.
May you all have a blessed and wonderful Solar Eclipse 🌒🌕🌘

Genuinely can't recommend tasseography / tea leaf reading enough if you feel like you're in a rut with your Witchcraft. Whatever tea or coffee you prefer, it's so simple and such a nice way to feel more connected to your spiritual team.
I've got some apple and elderflower tea I'm drinking right now. Grab a cup and boil the kettle! As simple as.

✨Low Effort Witch Tips✨
Need to charge your crystals but don't have the energy to?
Get yourself a selenite bowl. All you need to do is plop your crystals in there and let the bowl do it's thing so the crystals are ready to use come the next time you need them.
Need to make some moon water?
(not really low effort but I'm going to add it cause it takes absolutely nothing to do lol)
Get yourself an empty see through water bottle (it could be a coke bottle with the label taken off and cleaned, like who said it needed to be glass??) fill it up with water and throw that shit in your yard. Just remember to collect it in the morning lol
Need to make black salt but don't have the time or energy to do so?
Grab a bowl from your kitchen, fill it with your preferred salt for making black salt, and burn your incense into the bowl. (this could be done by standing the incense stick up inside of the bowl or using smth to hold it above the bowl.) then from there go and pick up some activated charcoal capsules then open those suckers, dump them into the bowl, and mix. Boom black salt.
Wanna cut ties with someone but don't have the willpower or energy to do a cord cutting spell?
(it's okay, we've all had those times lol)
Get a piece of paper, write your name on one side with whatever ink color of your choice then theirs on the opposite with black ink almost to act as a banishing then rip that paper in half (away from you) as many times as you'd like. After that dispose of it in whatever manner you decide best as long as it’s off of your property.
Are you out and about and feel as if you need protection?
Get yourself a cup of black coffee then before fixing it up to your liking put a small pinch of salt into it repeating (either aloud or in your head) “this has brought me protection from *insert thing* and will continue to do so until I feel safe and at ease.”
Color Association
I don't think I need to explain this one but just in case, wear the color associated with what you feel you need. If that means you feel as if you need protection wear black. Passion? Wear red. Joy? Wear pink (personally that's more of a Wednesday thing for me- if you know you know lol) so on and so forth
I've got a ton more tips, if you want them just let me know haha

“You cannot p-p-possibly-“ the magistrate stutters, hands out in front of his body as if he even has a sliver of a chance of fending them off.
Simon stalks forward, bloodied sword gleaming in the candle light, silver stained with ruby ichor, the remnants of the hired protection outside, all slain, all dying.
The hired protection that he paid for, with the coin he made off of you.
“Ye cannae possibly believe,” Johnny snarls, steps vibrating with rage. “That ye’ll be talkin’ yer way out o’ this one.”
“She’s possessed, she-“
“Do not bother to lie. You do not believe it. We know you’ve been using her.” Simon barks. “We’ve heard the tales. The tongues wag far and wide over the rumors about your seer.”
“She needs healing, and my healers are uniquely qualified, experienced with witchcraft.” The magistrate whines, still stepping backwards on his heels, eyes wide, sweat dripping from his temple.
“Ye stole her!” Johnny roars, shouldering past Simon. “Ye waited until we were called away and then ye broke into our home and took her.” The magistrate shakes his head.
“She needs-“
“She needs nothing from you. Except to be free.” Simon cracks his neck. “And for you to be dead.”
“No. No, you can’t. I’m a- a noble. You cannot just-“
“Aye. We can.”
“Tell us where she is, and perhaps, we’ll let you live.” Simon counters, and the magistrate relaxes, body going languid like a fool.
“She’s in the room. At the end of the hall.” He grabs at a key around his neck, and Johnny rips it away, worn leather string breaking free without much effort.
“Johnny.” It’s a hum, an order, and he grins with his answer, whistling his way down the hall.
The last thing the magistrate sees is the swing of Simon’s sword, cleaving through the air, headed straight for his neck.
“Darling?” The room is dark. It smells, reeks of blood and bile, and his stomach turns. This is where he’s been hiding you? After all the coin that heathen made from your visions, this is the best he could give you? “Darling? Are ye in here?” There’s nothing, no response, no whisper of your sweet voice. Just the sound of shaky breathing, whimpering. “It’s me. It’s Johnny.”
He can just barely see the outline of your shoulder under the window, and he crouches, reaching towards your knee, brushing his fingertips over your skin.
“N-no.” You whisper, and he frowns.
“It’s Johnny. Simon’s here too. We’re here now, darling, ye’re safe.” The doors swings, banging into the stone wall, you startle, flinching against the window.
“Johnny?” Simon murmurs, coming to stand behind him, hand on his shoulder.
“Ah dinnae- she-“
“Those who walk in the woods will see their feet stained with blood.” You croak, shivering.
“Wot?” Simon questions, but you don’t respond.
They can just barely make out the sight of your dress, more of a sack, torn and tattered, encrusted with dirt and blood and goddess knows what else.
“We need tae get her out o’ here.” Johnny’s voice stays low, cautious. Worried.
“Darling, can you hear me?” Simon tries, but you still say nothing, little noises coming from your mouth every other moment.
He rocks forward to take you into his arms, hoping the familiarity will calm you, bring you back to yourself.
But you let out a bloodcurdling scream instead, the terror in your voice so rich, so real, he nearly loses his grip on your struggling body.
You fight them. Clawing and ripping and tearing, hands wild, tugging at Johnny’s hair, Simon’s clothes, until they’ve got your arms pinned down, Johnny cooing to you softly.
“It’s alright, it’s alright. Breathe for me, darling. Jus’ breathe.” You’re still struggling, still trying wrench yourself free, and when you thrash, you face catches the moonlight.
That’s when they see it.
Johnny chokes on his gasp, and Simon cups your chin, tilting your eyes back towards the light, back towards the window to reveal the horrifying truth.
Your eyes are completely white. Pupils, irises, blood vessels, all fogged out, covered with creamy, milky white that looks more like the moon than your beautiful eyes that they’ve known, loved, so dearly.
“No.” Johnny whispers. You whimper, head swinging, eyebrows creased, chest heaving.
Their worst fears, realized. They always knew this was a possibility but… for it to happen when you were being held captive. When they couldn’t be here. When they weren’t able to help you, comfort you.
The terror you must have felt.
“She only sees with the Sight now.” Simon says. “It’s why she doesn’t recognize us. She’s lost herself to it, to the Goddess.”
You blink rapidly, like you’re hearing them, head cocking slightly toward their voices, and Simon strokes a thumb down your cheek.
“Shhh.” Johnny hums, and you settle, a bit dejected, but quieting in their arms as they hold you. “Just breathe. Good girl, nice an’ slow for us.” After you get two lungfuls, they shift, Simon’s arms curling around your body and holding you close as Johnny opens the door.
“Let’s go home, darling.”

Witchcraft Exercise - Annual Review
Tumblr media
The end of the old calendar year and the beginning of a new one are excellent times for reflection and recalibration. We do this in our mundane lives by making resolutions, setting new goals, starting new projects, and sketching out our schedule for the coming year. So why not do the same with your witchcraft!
As a journaling exercise, sit down and record how your journey has progressed over the past year. You can include things like spells you’ve cast, rituals you’ve performed, holidays you’ve celebrated, gatherings you attended, new ideas you’ve encountered or incorporated, important lessons learned, and any significant milestones you’ve achieved. It doesn’t have to be fully comprehensive or bite-by-bite - the level of detail is entirely up to you.
(If you’ve already performed the exercise Quantifying Your Craft, then you already have a place to start. If you haven’t, I do suggest doing that first to give yourself a clear set of data and pre-determined information to reference.)
Once you’ve recorded your progress, decide where you want to go next. What new goals will you set? What new subjects do you want to explore? What habits do you want to alter or adopt? Are there any new books you want to read? Places you want to visit? New methods or techniques you want to try? Dream big and then sketch out a path to get you there, or just decide where you want to go next. And don’t worry about accomplishing everything on the list in the span of a year. Whatever doesn’t get done in the short term can always become the seed of something you grow into over time.
Of course, this doesn’t necessarily have to be an exercise that happens exclusively at the beginning or end of a calendar year. You can (and should) review and recalibrate periodically throughout the year whenever you incorporate new information or new ideas or new processes into your practice. This can be done as frequently or infrequently as you feel the need, whether that be monthly or quarterly or annually or just once every few years. Pausing for reflection is a necessary part of any long-term path or project, and it is a good way to both measure your progress so far and decide how best to move forward.
One more thing - Don’t be too hard on yourself or feel like you haven’t accomplished enough or learned enough or progressed enough to be a “proper” witch. Don’t compare your craft to anyone else’s or measure your viability by another's rod. Your journey is your own and will proceed at its’ own pace. Periods of rest or recovery or low motivation or preoccupation with other concerns are going to be part of that. As long as you’re making an effort, you’re doing just fine.
Happy Witching!

Baneful Magic & Methods🌙
Tumblr media
🖤Disclaimer: I do not believe in the 3-fold law or the Wiccan rede. These methods are things I use in my own practice and am choosing to share. Please do your own research!
What is Baneful Magic?
Many people confuse the term "black magic" with baneful magic. The term "black magic" is actually a racist term and should not be used to describe baneful workings. This is also the same for the term "white magic" being used to describe healing magic.
Baneful magic is magic cast against someone or something with menacing or harmful intent. Baneful magic can be used to speed up the consequences of someone actions towards you or they can be used to block people from benefiting from their work. In my practice, I believe that if baneful work is not warranted (i.e there is no real reason for it to be done), it will not work. This means that I never cast a baneful spell unless I believe it to be truly worth the time and effort.
Baneful rituals can be very simple and low energy or they can be very intense and complex. This honestly depends on what kind of spell work you are doing and what you are doing it for. For example, a baneful ward is something that I would consider to be low energy because you set it up once and as long as it remains intact, it continues to work. However for me, a higher energy baneful spell would be a "stop gossiping" spell because the ingredients I would use are harder to find. Baneful works also depend on the amount of correlations you want to include. For example, do you want the spell to coincide with a specific day of the week, moon phase or month. Maybe you want to perform it during a specific season or ask for help from a specific entity, all these factors should be taken into account when performing these workings.
Some of my Favourite Methods:
Hex water- Adding names to hex water can be a really low energy way of ensuring that someone must deal with the consequences of their actions (I use this as more of a "karma" insurance but it can be used as a full on hex).
Freezer spells- some people may argue that this isn’t very baneful but it's one of my favourite and most used methods. Freezer spells can be used to essentially "freeze" people’s influence over you or block them from being able to reach you. You can do this with items as well (when I was quitting smoking, this is how I did it). You can freeze names with regular water or you can bind them first and freeze them in hex water.
Return-to-senders- another one of my favourite spells, this spells is used to return unwanted or harmful energy back to the source that cast it (which is why people always say to tether your hexes to something other than yourself). You can also add a bit of a kickback to these spells or return them with 3 times the energy if you are feeling a little vengeful.
Mirror spells- again one that might not be considered baneful but can be adjusted. The way I use these spells is to make the recipient "look in the mirror" and take an objective look at their actions. This often involves ensuring that they can't run from their problems and must deal with the consequences of their actions. Other variations of this exist as well, you are only limited by your imagination with this one.
Sending a spirit- depending on your relationship with specific spirits, you can petition them to do the work for you. This usually works best if you already have a close working relationship with the spirit you are petitioning but you can also contact spirits you don't normally work with as well. I have seen this work using house spirits, familiars, the dead, deities and many more. It's important for me to stress that how you go about this and the results achieved will depend on the spirit you ask and your relationship with that spirit.
Baneful Work & Ethics:
Witchcraft in general does not have a standard or set guidelines for what is ethical and what is not. Many witches may come to a consensus on what they believe to be ethical based on shared morals or opinions but in reality, it's all fair game. Just because I believe or follow one thing, doesn't mean you have to or will.
It is important for you to determine your own ethical guidelines before practicing baneful magic. I say this because it is very easy, when things go wrong or you are feeling hurt, to just cast magic against whatever or whoever you want but it is not always helpful or necessary. Having guidelines and sticking to them is an important part of baneful practices (they can always change and evolve but the most important thing is that you don't compromise on them when you are emotional). Here are a few guidelines I stick to, feel free to use them if they resonate with you.
Never cast without reason- I will only spend my time and energy on things that are really important to me. If the person I am casting against is already a waste of space in my life, they will also probably be a waste of time.
Never cast emotionally- I will wait several weeks before I decide to cast against someone. If what they did is really bad enough to warrant my energy and time then it's probably something I'll still be upset about weeks or months later.
Never cast against someone you live with or cannot cut out of your life- this one is kind of self explanatory but casting against someone you live with is bad news. You will be affected by your own working and will end up having to reverse it.
Know how to reverse your workings- things can always go wrong so make sure you have a back up plan and a really good uncrossing spell on hand.
Know yourself- it's important to do some reflecting before you hex. Ask yourself how you may have contributed to the situation. Are upset or are you projecting past traumas onto someone? What would you have done if the roles were reversed? Questions like these are tough to answer but help determine if a hex is really warranted or not.
Protect then hex- if you are casting against someone who lives with children or pets, you may choose to do a protection working on them before performing your hex. The energy a hex has often affects other people around the recipient and children/animals do not deserve to be negatively affected by the actions of someone else.

POTS magic masterpost
(Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome)
A collection of tips and suggestions from and for magic practitioners who have POTS!
*To be used in addition to proper medical care, medication and mundane efforts, not as a sole alternative.*
Salt + electrolytes:
As you take salt pills, say a spell or blessing.
Incorporate salt into general health, wellness, and energy spells.
Draw sigils on your salt shakers.
“I drink a lot of electrolytes, and Pedialyte to help with orthostatic issues, and I will cast over my drink much the same as I do for tea, coffee, water, etc. So any spellwork for drinks could easily apply to one's electrolytes or water.” (x)
Tips and tricks:
Ask for specific strength to your blood vessels and brain.
Draw sigils on your medication bottles and mobility devices.
Carry around a resilience sigil or a sigil to keep your heart rate and blood pressure at a more average level.
Do little enchantments on your compression stockings and put them on a windowsill to charge with solar energy.
“Keeping all of my ingredients in easy to reach spots has also been a big help, specifically places that are low to the ground and don't require me to do much standing or walking around.” (x)
“When using counter maneuvers for POTS, visualize yourself being grounded & connected to the earth.” (x)
“I find time in nature also tends to ground me better, which can help if stress is a trigger for POTS.” (x)
“Pray to Apollon and Artemis for help at the start and end of the day. Again, this doesn't replace medical treatment, but it can certainly offer a lot of comfort, especially in the middle of a flare-up. For me, stress is a major trigger of my POTS, and I find that praying to my deities makes me calm down much faster, thereby allowing the flare-up to be a bit shorter.” (x)
Correspondences:
“Keeping a lot of bloodstone and rose quartz around has been helpful to me.” (x)
“As far as wandwork correspondences go, I like to use my mangrove wand for POTS-related work, bc of its unique adaptations to a salty environment. (Mangrove has a lot of health correspondences for me, but POTS and menstruation related issues are the two biggest.) Aspen, bloodwood, ebony, lignum vitae, redheart, and willow also have various health-related meanings for me, so I sometimes use those too.” (x)
Sigils:
Balance my blood pressure
My blood pressure is a healthy level
My heart rate stays average
Ease my dizziness
Ease my lightheadedness
I remain conscious
People respect my diagnosis
