Rustriders Characters - Nuinx
Species: Nugon - AZ variant
Age: 14(?)
Height: 4" 9' Weight: 110 lb
Aura class: Flame(?)
Birthplace: -UNKNOWN-
Nuinx of the Rustriders (Birth-name unknown) and his siblings were found in an abandoned military compound located in the Lox-Uma forest of the Northern Region of Haxatari by two scrappers. The reason the three nugons where in the compound or how all the Guards where slaughtered, the location and identity of the threes biological parents are unknown.
Nuinx is a calm and logical person, often taking time to think out of his problems rather then act, however this makes him slow on his feet and lacking in improvisational skills. Often dry and deadpan, Nuinx does not tolerate small talk or deception, often stating his thoughts bluntly and inelegantly. In a fight he rather use CQC and sword fighting rather then any firearms, its a preference apparently. seen as quick, efficient, if not then overly flamboyant and swashbuckling at times, often using misdirection and his smaller stature to trick and quickly disabling his opponent or killing them in swift strikes with his home made aura caster blade, his flame like aura being able to slice through virtually any armor and being able to parry Blaster fire. However Nuinx must always be mindful of how much life energy he expels using his Aura caster, if he uses up too much energy in a fight he runs the risk of dying.

Meet My MC: Basil Park
Tumblr media
FC: Eric Mun
Book: Perfect Match
Name: Park Byeong-Cheol. But at school and among friends he was called Basil so the name stuck.
Age: 26 at the start of PM.
Birthday: June 5th.
Sexual Orientation: Pansexual
Hair: Short, Brown.
Eyes: Deep Brown.
Birthplace: New York
Race/Ethnicity: Asian. From Seoul, South Korea.
Love Interests: Sloane Washington, Sage Young (formerly Hayden), Khaan Mousavi, Alana Kusuma, Damien Nazario.
Personality: Calm - Logical - Ambivert - Flirtatious - Goal-oriented - Patient.
Trivia:
- Basil and Sloane are very fond of exchanging different cultural stories and legends on constellations!
- Loves collecting pebbles and smooth stones!
- Favourite food item is the saffron and rose ice cream sandwich from Mashti Malone in LA. At one point in their friendship, he told Damien once he wouldn't mind moving there just to have it every day (that was how he found out Damien was from LA, coz that's what he said after Basil said that). He also loves bagels with cream cheese and lox
- Is a good singer and has learned tap dancing
- Like all PM MCs, can't cook to save his life
- He dated Sloane and Sage from the start, but started dating Damien shortly after they reunited in Tokyo
- On the jet plane to Berlin, Basil and Hayden listened to music together. Simon and Garfunkel's "Scarborough Fair" was a song both Basil and Hayden loved, and they sang the refrain together, very dramatically ("parsley saaaaaage rosemaryyyy and thyyyyyyyme!!!"). So when she wanted to change her name, the two chose Sage as an inside joke on that song 😅
Education: A BFA and MFA in Illustration from School of Visual Arts, NY. Nadia and Basil have both always showcased talents and interest in the visual arts, but Nadia's interest encompass various genres of art, while Basil focuses more on illustration and visual design. He's designed a couple covers, mostly for children's books.
Favourite Travel Destination: Jeju Island in his native SK, Santorini in Greece.
Backstory: No one who knows him now will believe how much of a wild-child he was as a kid. Very distracted, extremely talkative, really stubborn, and Basil and Nadia always got annoyed with each other at that age. Most of the family wouldn't be able to pinpoint exactly when he changed coz it happened so gradually over a long period of time, but clearly by the time he left for college he was a different person altogether. Since he and Nadia attended the same uni, they grew closer to each other in comparison to most of their cousins (tho they do love them all!)
Relationships and Children: I'm still deciding on kids! I do know that all the group besides Damien (coz he usually sticks to one relationship), the others date other people - Sloane dates Khaan and Alana, Sage also dates a Sri Lankan woman called Nilukshi who she meets while taking up rock climbing.

If you’re a fan of Jewish delis that serve breakfast, then you likely have a soft spot for the LEO. No, we’re not talking about your uncle; we’re talking about the classic zhuzhed-up scramble made with lox, eggs and onion that’s a staple everywhere from Russ & Daughters in New York, to Kenny and Ziggy’s in Texas, to Wise Sons in California.
The LEO is an ode to the building blocks of Jewish American Ashkenazi food. While you might think of lox as an ancient Ashkenazi food, salmon wasn’t actually a common ingredient in Eastern European cuisine. When Jews immigrated to the United States in the early 20th century it coincided with a time when salmon was being amply shipped from the West Coast. Salmon is clearly ideal for smoking and curing with its fattiness and subtle flavor, and lox quickly became a favored deli staple.
As for onions – caramelized ones are an essential, and make for an inexpensive way to add a big depth of flavor to a wide range of dishes. Think: bialys and chopped liver. My grandmother seemed to constantly be standing over a stove stirring onions in a skillet until golden brown, and then adding them to just about every savory dish she made. That said, the shade of your LEO onions are a personal preference; if you like them on the paler side, simply sauté them for less time. Buttery eggs bring everything together with their rich, intrinsically dairy-free, hearty friendliness. A final garnish of chives or dill adds a touch of freshness.
The LEO is always a nostalgic, satisfying breakfast, no bagel required (but absolutely welcome on the side). This recipe comes together in under half an hour and can be doubled as needed. For that reason, I love serving this to friends and family as an easy, flavor-filled brunch.

Pale 11.2
“How did you meet these two?” Verona’s mom asked. That put her on the spot.  “Group project.” “What kind of project?” Aaaaa.
big mood Avery, I am continually impressed with how many technically-true statements the other two manage
“Fake pork on a bagel?” Avery scrunched up her nose. “With tons of barbecue sauce and stuff, looks like,” Lucy added. “On a bagel?  I dunno.  Fake meat I’ve tried is maybe half mediocre, squint-and-you-could-interpret-it-as-meat stuff,” Avery said.  “And the other half was real sad.  My siblings looked at the turkey slice stuff and they went from making fun of the vegetarian stuff to feeling sorry for me.  And making fun of me a little, still.”
even leaving aside the fake meat aspect, I am deeply weirded out by the idea of a barbecue pork bagel sandwich. A bagel should have smoked salmon and cream cheese! You can add tomato/red onion/capers if you want, or I guess do something with eggs and/or salad. But not meat! Especially pork, that's just bizarre
“If it’s decent then you could come back and have it again,” Verona’s mom said. “I dunno, I don’t want to ruin a whole meal though.”
this is why I just always order the same thing at a restaurant once I've found something I like
“It’s a generation thing,” Verona said, still talking in a tone like she was laying sage wisdom down from above and having fun at the same time.  Verona was being very Verona and it felt a lot like Avery had felt when she was just getting into the flow of these two, after Miss had introduced them.
I think Verona is feeling very off-balance still, but also the sudden release of being away from her dad, and is being very outwardly herself to work through her emotions
“Lox and cream cheese with double helping of black olive and red onion, please, poppyseed.”
aside from the olives this is respectable
“I’m not into art as a career, though,” Verona said.  “And like, who even thinks about careers at thirteen?” “Me either, with sports,” Avery interjected.
that's probably good, those are two careers that are very hard to actually make a living off of
“It’s an advantage, if you can tackle a new project without feeling like you’re leaving behind the things you really want to do.  I get excited about any new venture, and I think I can sell people on that excitement and make things happen.”
have you considered becoming a startup CEO
“What have you done?” Verona asked them, mock-horrified, even though she looked like she was enjoying herself at the same time. [...] “What have you done?” Verona asked her mom and Lucy’s mom, exaggerated.  “Have you no mercy?”
ok, this is very stressful for Avery and coming at a bad time, but I'm also with Verona that it is very funny
(I am an only child)
“Just the one, I think,” Jasmine said.  “She works for the whole hospital, and doubles as IT, I think.” “That’s not nearly enough,” Connor said.  “One health information specialist?”
pour one out for that poor poor IT/information worker. That's not nearly enough, and you can bet they're being drafted into any project that needs a bit of code or analysis done
also ngl I would read more of the parents talking about healthcare data analysis, I wonder if wildbow has personal experience with it? I have a friend who does basically the job that Connor has, and it's not something people tend to think of when they think either "healthcare work" or "tech work", so it seems oddly specific
Avery focused on that, drew on the connection, and channeled it.  Snowdrop raised a paw, ‘thumb’ extended, then went back to sleep. She adopted the omnivore scavenger’s palate.
oh that's a neat benefit. I was going to say probably not useful for anything major, but actually it would be a live-saver in the Hungry Choir ritual, and I bet there are other practices that require eating something gross
“Avery!” Avery flinched like she’d been slapped in the back of her head. Her dad.
... that is a strong reaction. The lingering head injury, or his reaction to her coming out?
“Here,” he said.  He reached into his pocket and got his wallet.  He pressed a card into her hand.  Then he turned to the cashier.  “My daughter has my card, Connor Kelly.  She has my permission to use it.  That okay?”
this feels like guilt
“I really can’t think of much I need,” Avery said.  “Some shirts, maybe, shorts…” “Two hundred dollars?” Verona repeated. Avery shook her head, looking around.  “While Snowdrop is leveling up in- I don’t even know what to call it.  Intensity of fashion?  I feel like I should do something similar but I don’t know what.”
to echo a fandom desire from early-mid Ward: shopping trip!
time for a butch makeover montage
“This is what she does,” Verona said.  “Hey, while you’re doing that, Ave, buy your basics, I can think of some things to buy for Tashlit.  I have some money too.”
aww
“In ten hours, yeah,” Lucy said.  “And then I got stressed because I knew not sleeping before a day like today which might really matter…” “Yeah.  I get that.” “Made it even harder to sleep because I was stressed.”
that happens to my partner sometimes, it always sucks
“It did suck and it was lonely but I get it.  It’s cool.”
on the one hand Avery's right that Lucy was also going through it and this was understandable, but on the other I'm not thrilled how quickly she goes "This was bad for me but it's fine."
“I like the idea of sticking by one another, it’s just tricky sometimes.  People are… personality-wise I see us all as jagged, weirdly shaped things, and we try to mesh together as best as we can but sometimes…” “Yeah.” “The mesh isn’t perfect and we bounce off one another or something and that doesn’t at all mean I don’t care or I’m not in your corner.”
hedgehog dilemma
Avery shook her head.  “He smacked me in the back of the head near the brain stem and that can give you gnarly headaches that last for a whole month.  But when he said I could have the post-concussion thing, he was saying I could have mental difficutlies or problems for the rest of my life.  And that’s when, you know…  I was spooked.”
fucking christ that's terrifying no wonder you were spooked
“You know that you’re like… cool, right, Ave?” “I don’t, no.”
ouch
“I don’t mean sunglasses and slicked back hair cool, or snowboarder chick cool, or leather jackets type cool, I mean-”
she could be those if she wanted! maybe. actually no, sweet and earnest kind of gets in the way of most of those. but she could still get a leather jacket.
“These are your measurements for cool?  Sunglasses and slicked back hair?  What?” Avery asked, smiling.
... is Lucy's metric for cool just Zed
“Do we have to move on?  Because calling me cool is awkward but defining what you see as cool is fun.  Who’s a cool guy, Lucy?  One cool guy you know.” “I had a point I was getting to.” “First one off the top of your head.  Is it Zed?”
called it!
“What’s the commonality between those guys?  Tymon’s a bit laid back, especially when you put him with a bunch of these practitioners from uptight families, and George is sort of above it all.  Tymon’s from a big drug-spirit summoning family and George partakes…” “Not really the direction I was thinking.” “Very angular faces.  Sharp chins, defined cheekbones…”
lol
“Is this punishment?  For leaving you hanging while I moped?  Are you channeling Snowdrop’s chaotic spirit?”
what goes around comes around! otherverse runs on karma
“Oh, they both have longer hair.  Are you into longer hair?  I can understand that.” “The longer hair is a plus.”
fits with liking indie rock/pop I think? I don't know music. Or guys.
Wallace tended to lighten his hair and wear shirts with wild geometric or fractal patterns, prints, and/or colors.
oh that's neat, I love a good geometric pattern. I am now rooting for Wallace, sorry Tymon
At Tashlit’s instruction, such as it was, Lucy sat on the log by the fire and then rolled up her shirt as much as she could without being indecent
this is a very Avery this to notice and way of phrasing
It was gnarly.
no wait I take it back, this is Avery phrasing
3:00pm. “Of course.  I’ll help,” John said. Verona, Avery, and Lucy held papers, guaranteeing privacy.
oh, so they're doing the rounds of their allies. Tashlit, John... I wonder who else? Probably Alpeana, Crooked Rock might have put them in contact with the ghouls, maybe they'll talk to Guilherme and Toadswallow. I think this will go fine, my concern is that helping the girls arrest Edith is a good way for a secret conspirator to ward off suspicion
John nodded.  He took the little games that Verona had brought and set them aside, bending down briefly to slip them into his bag.  There was also a collection of darts Avery had grabbed on impulse.  No dartboard, that had been too expensive.  Just darts.  She figured John could improvise.  He seemed to like it.
cute that they're bringing gifts, and I do like it as part of this recruitment process. Too small to be a bribe, but a show of friendliness and respect. Reminds me of how ritualized gift-giving worked between allies and vassals in ye olden times
“Sorry,” John said, settling into a sitting position, moving his bag to be closer to his foot.  “If that’s too much.  All I mean is- be prepared for this to not go the way you need it to.  Even if it comes to you getting hurt, cornered, imprisoned, if you have plans or things set in motion, you don’t want to think ‘I should’ve’ in the moment before you have no options.  Be prepared.” “What does-” Lucy paused, swallowing.  “What sort of thing would we need to do to be prepared?”
gods this is sad to have to think of. Write letters for your families, for Zed and their other allies at the school? Put together a will for the various powerful items they have? I don't know if Avery would need to make arrangements for Snowdrop
Jessica had sent a picture of herself and her girlfriend in their house.  It looked small but it was packed with decorations, to the point that some stuff was sitting on the ground around the base of some of the tables next to a futon.  Avery was fond of the stone carvings and she’d asked, and Jessica had sent pictures of some.
good to see they're still in contact :)
“Avery! Sheridan, Kerry, Declan! Dinner!”
it has just now struck me 1) how deeply irish all these kids' names are (except, oddly enough, for Avery) and 2) what a deeply unfortunate name Kerry Kelly is
Kerry K.J. Kelly
oh gods and she has another K-name for a middle name. Poor kid.
Her dad addressed the table.  “This is going to be a brief but very important family discussion.  And I do mean discussion.  We need to talk about something serious.” Avery had already spent the day on high alert, and she didn’t miss the fact that her mom reached over to place a hand over Grumble’s.
well fuck, this is bad timing. With the attention on Grumble, is he moving to a nursing home?
“On the upside, there are ice cream bars for dessert,” her mom said.  “So let’s tough this out.”
so I have some bad news about that
“Rook is trusting us with information.  Our doppleganger and cancer stick are with the candle spirit,” Lucy told her.  “They were out there.”
aw, I was hoping Lis wasn't involved
“I’d do something else, I think.  I think of, I dunno.  A house without a floor.  Ropes and things.” Verona laughed.  “That’d be out there.” “Isn’t it?  Or a loft with enough open space on the second floor where you could have a big hammock or something stretched across, like they do in tiny houses.” “That’s neat.  I can see it.  Path-y.” “Yeah, with doors and windows out to Paths.  Maybe so you can peek through?”
this seems wildly inconvenient, but a neat visual. Might be hard to move around quickly though, which could get annoying for Avery
“My mom was talking about passions and not having any one particular passion for herself.  And that’s cool, but like, how do I decide on a place to call my place of power if I do something like that?  How do you define a space and make it cool if your approach to practice or to the world changes all the time?”
I mean I've only seen a few months of Verona's life, but art, magical knowledge, diagrams, things that are weird and gross and fleshy.
“I know this sounds awful, but… countermeasures for John?” Verona asked.
this sucks, and I don't think either John or Tashlit will be issues, but considering how worried I am about the real culprit remaining hidden through this conflict, or even aiding the girls, I'm glad that they have countermeasures prepared for everyone
The blackness behind her deepened.  The Sable Prince stepped out of the darkness behind her.  Trees rustled and leaves went still, branches creaking and bowing.
oh hello!
Avery could see Edith’s face, and she saw the moment that she recognized that the Sable Prince was there. All fight dropped away.  She let Matthew hold her shoulder. Surrender, just like that.  Which didn’t mean this was over.
... huh. Easier than I thought! Though of course the real challenge will be getting information from her

while everyone is talking regional foods thanks to polls i wanna say very quickly that the first time i tried a bagel i was so surprised because it was much simpler in flavour than i expected
the amount of times i’ve seen simit described as a turkish bagel i was like damn okay i have to try a bagel then
and the toppings? great! i particularly enjoyed lox and cream cheese, i like poppy seeds... but the bread type of the bagel itself did not appeal to my palate enough to be worth the amount of bread that goes with the toppings
it’s not bad! but you have to understand when i heard people call simit turkish bagels i expected more of a flavoured quality to the bread itself!
Like, to go to a totally different sort of bread, i love easter bread (i think that’s italian) it’s savoury and a little sweet and has a beautiful soft texture to it
and simit is flavoured with a kind of grape molasses (pekmez) and tahini as well as topped with sesame seeds so it has this gorgeous rich flavour whether you are having the large homemade version or the thin and crispy street version
But i do like the crispness of a toasted bagel, i think maybe i just need to try smaller portions to really get the best experience to my personal tastes, also i gotta try more variety of toppings! i know a few places that make bagels that i trust more than the store-bought kind

Nate will Nacho try to steal your bagel, or any kind of bread or toast you have?
“This is such a personal and earnest problem in my house—because not only to I enjoy bagels, I go over the top with them. We’re talking everything bagel with green onion cream cheese, slice of gouda, fresh salmon lox—“
Nate quickly jerks his hand up, holding said plated bagel high over his head as his dorito-shaped cat makes a yowling dive into his lap.
“—and this greedy motherfucker keeps trying to steal it!” he exclaims, while Nacho begins climbing up his arm.

Very much thinking about shiv and Karolina’s return from Caroline’s and Karolina (Jewish Karolina!) saying she’ll make cinnamon challah French toast because it’s comforting and she associates it with happiness and it means shiv doesn’t have to cook and shiv shuts her down and it’s hard because Karolina doesn’t want Shiv to spiral but also knows that Shiv doesn’t want to talk about what Caroline said because she’s embarrassed
firstly i would kill for cinnamon challah french toast rn so this is double torture (sad shiv sad me) but response under the cut
ughhhhh she would feel so embarrassed for not being able to eat a slice of bread just bc her mummy hurt her feelings :(((((
jewish karolina adds so many crazy layers to this too like the love language of food but also watching rooms full of grown women pick out the insides of their bagels when having lox as if that changes anything abt having a bagel 😭 & karolina would try not to take it personally bc like she Knows and she would just try to prop shiv up as much as she could without causing shiv to retreat from her :(

what’s venus like ?? <:-)
i have a post all about her backstory in my oc tag but! this does not go into the Vibes, of which hers are immaculate imo (sorry in advance bc i just woke up so my Rambling Inhibitions are not in effect yet)
as i explained there, she's part of a group called the commonwealth collective which are a spacefaring expansion of the modern-day organization called Industrial Workers of the World whose ideaology can be summarized in the idea of "One Big Union," believing that all workers from across all industry should be unionized. so she is a big ol' space commie and completely dedicated to this cause. they're also surprisingly technologically advanced compared to other factions bc, y'know, they actually prioritize workers which has bred amazing innovation, especially when it comes to ship engineering, which is her specialty.
when designing her, i knew i wanted her to have kind of a simple aesthetic bc she probably wouldn't have, like, access to fancy things and the commonwealth generally upcycles everything, including clothes. so her general outfit is these clunky old combat boots and an old brown leather flight jacket that have been patched (and patched, and patched again) and a big tool belt over cargo pants with so many large pockets so she could comically stash massive mechanical parts in them while she's scavenging.
it reminded me a lot of tali from mass effect so i also gave her a little drone inspired by Chatika but it's name is Lox ("short for Goldilocks, because it's always the right tool for any job!"). it's her little baby even if it's "just a VI," and though it can be utilized for dangerous tasks, she generally plays it safe so it doesn't get hurt.
another key element of her is that she's a psionic, which like mass effect biotics are kinda taboo and seen as weird and scary during the time period her game is set in. but despite how much it's fucked with her life, venus tries damn hard to be proud to be one. to see it as a strength. so instead of trying to hide like she did when she was younger, she puts it all out there. she is a little chatterbug who talks with almost every person she sees and will remember every face.
she knows how scary the galaxy can be and she always wants to be a bright spot in it.

Talking Bagels (1/1)
Finally getting back tot he 30 Day Writing Challenge! This one is an answer to Day 13 (Write 10 sentences about the last item you bought), where I have Flack and Danny talking about bagels.
Talking Bagels - On the way to the labs with bagels in tow for their co-workers, Danny and Flack talk bagels.
READ @ AO3
“Everything bagels are the best,” Danny said as he and Flack walked down the street from the bagel shop back to their car. “You got a good bagel base, onions, garlic, poppy seeds, sesame seeds…the best, I’m telling you.” Danny took a bite of his bagel. “I got enough for most of the labs, with cream cheese for everyone, but mine has got lox. That’s the proper way to eat a bagel.”
“I’m a bagel and butter person when it comes to everything bagels,” Flack said.
“You, the foodie, would pair butter with the perfection of an everything bagel?”
“Only if it’s Irish butter, preferably with a hint of garlic and herbs.”
Danny gave him a glance. “Okay, maybe I can forgive that. But cream cheese and lox on a plain?”
“And my childhood favorite for a quick breakfast: peanut butter on a cinnamon raisin.”
“That’s blasphemy!”
“But it tastes damn good.”

I'd personally like margali (this once) to be someone who's gonna help solving the issue for LoX or at least someone who could help kurt out because. This dude. Has been going around. Doing crazy shit after crazy shit. That sound completely out of character for him. For three whole years. And had none of his friends comment on it. Not even the spark religion bit... Like come on. He really needs someone who knew him from before Krakoa and could actually knock some sense into him.
Yeah I like your idea a lot! I think besides the support, having Margali come in for about 3 issues to resolve a problem would be fine.
I kind of imagine her entrance being similar to the body snatcher mutant: her introducing herself as a semi-threat due to her past, but she sees the insanity on Krakoa and acknowledges that her son needs more help than evil in his life. There also seems to be a small magic community on Krakoa, so I think her being there to interact with them would be pretty cool too.
Omg if she actually becomes a recurring character I would love to draw a thing of her talking to Kurt about Dr. Strange passing away.

Get to Know Me
Tagged by the lovely @seancekitsch. Thanks Bonnie :)
Relationship Status: Don’t have one, not really looking at the moment Favorite Colors: Purple, Teal, and grey Favorite Food: lox and cream cheese on an everything bagel (I liked them before I moved to NYC, but now...I would live off nothing but if that was an option) Song stuck in my head: 🎵“I am not a person, I’m three possums in a coat”🎵 Although the song I’ve been listening to on repeat all day is “Writing Again” by Seanan McGuire Last thing you googled: “All Nancy Drew Books in order” because I’m reshelving my books and being particular about it Time: 12:27am Dream Trip: Romania. It’s so beautiful, and was one of the few places I really had no option to go to when I was studying abroad Last thing you read: Book Lovers by Emily Henry. Or I guess if we’re being technical, my mail that’s been sitting on my desk for two days.  Last book you enjoyed reading: that is the same question. I am trying to be better about giving up when I don’t enjoy a book, or even when I do but I’m not in the right mood. But I definitely really enjoyed Book Lovers. It’s not groundbreakingly original, but a book doesn’t need to be. And it’s really a fun, self-aware rom-com. Also a couple of times I felt a liiittle bit called out, which is always good in a book (in my opinion). Last book you hated reading: Other than textbooks, which it has been a year+ since I’ve had to read (yay!) I can’t think of one right now.  Favorite thing to cook/bake: lemon bars! Or pancakes even though they never come out pretty. I mean, I like cooking in general (especially chopping vegetables, I find the action and sound both very soothing, let’s not look to far into it) but those top tier Favorite craft to do in your free time: cross-stitch probably. But I’m not a super crafty person, and am very out of practice. Most niche dislike: I don’t think I have one that’s niche. I have many dislikes but they’re all probably pretty common ones.  Opinion on Circuses: Indifferent? I mean, I love a circus or a carnival as a fiction setting because you can do so much with them, and (according to some people strangely) find “circus music” in the right context romantic. But I have no strong feelings about actual circuses one way or the other. Do you have any sense of direction: No. I mean, I’d like to think I have one of narrative direction, but the jury is out. And I could get lost trying to find my way out of a paper bag. Tell us about your D&D Character: I have so many though. Even if I narrow it down to active campaigns that leaves 2...Valsolis and Wren. I talk about V most in my D&D posts (she’s a tiefling bard with roguish tendencies...as in she’s a grifter and con artist, and can pick a lock when she needs to. She is currently being hunted by a cult and they assassinated her merchant husband, which is a tragedy because she was just starting to like him and consider not killing him for his money). But Wren is a new one, she’s rather fun. She’s a halfling ranger with absolutely no charisma, and a squirrel for an animal companion. Technically she lives in town, but I’m pretty sure its in the way a feral cat lives under your porch. I want to cross-class barbarian but haven’t had a chance.

Tagged by @samblerambles. Thank you! I love to talk and can't answer with short answers, so there you go under the cut.
Last song I listened to: M83 - Holes In The Sky (Phantom Liberty LITERALLY has a mission called Hole in The Sky at the beginning of the DLC. I'm surprised they wasted such a perfect opportunity to use this song 'cause I saw the scenery and heard the ambient music in the game and was already anticipating it because it kinda sounded like this song to me.) Listening to it on repeat since yesterday tbh.
Favourite content to watch: I'm not really sure what to answer cause I watch content on occasion and in waves. Basically, I binge watch it mindlessly and then I stop for a while. Most of my subscriptions on YT stay unwatched these days, which sucks.
On YT I'm subscribed to: a couple of cooking channels (one local one is currently my fav, his videos are very cosy); a dude with a farm; some YTbers that play video games (haven't watched any playthroughs in such a long time, now that I have my own PC and the ability to play); some true crime channels; a woman that lives near the North Pole; two different channels that help homeless people; a couple of tech channels (smartphones, PCs, new hardware like that); a pet groomer; a drawing channel or two; cross stitch/embroidery/sewing; a couple of aviation channels; a couple of renovation/DYI channels.
If I had to pick, then right now it's the woman that lives close to North Pole and a pet groomer. A dude with the farm is kind of my fav, but sometimes I'm not in the mood to watch it and miss a couple of videos. Same with aviation: I love love LOVE airplanes, but sometimes I'm not in the mood.
Despite it looking like a lot, I really don't watch that much. Out of maybe 30 videos visible on the page it would be good if I watch one or two videos without scrolling down or going to my To Watch playlist and searching for something to watch there.
Favourite games:
Of all times fav: Uncharted 4 & Dishonored/Dishonored 2. Cyberpunk 2077 (probably; bc I currently have 322.7 hours on Steam there & I'm planning on continue playing. A particular brain worm from there and his best friends from the past are everything.) Deus Ex. I keep forgetting that one but Y E S. It was there before Cyberpunk happened.
As in *right now*: Baldur's Gate 3. RDR2 (maybe? I haven't played that one since the moment I finished the main game, but the story deeply shook me and I called it a masterpiece in my review on Steam.)
To me a FAVOURITE is something you commit to, so it's hard to choose something that I'd actually *actively* stick with. But if we talk less serious, I love video games in general. So many of my fav characters are from video games.
Favourite colours: Most shades of blue (the ones that have blue in them too). Deep rich green <3. Gold.
Favourite animals: All of them. Yes. (I love cats, whales, horses, cows, wolves. I'm an animal person.)
Favourite food: Pickled cucumbers is my all time fav. Pasta (mac and cheese). Sushi (basically sea weed + cream cheese + red fish/lox + maybe a cucumber or bell pepper = heaven). Cucumber + tomatoes + bell paper + sour cream salad is my base that I can't function without. I'm a foodie (which is my big problem since ever but oh well.)
Sweet, spicy, or savoury: I'll keep your answer in a way: 'NOT spicy, my acid reflux does not enjoy that.' Yeah, mine too. Can't eat spicy at ALL, it hurts my guts for real. I like a mix of sweet + salty + savoury. I wouldn't want to eat just one thing out of these. Sweet and sour sauce is <3
Current obsession: Cyberpunk 2077. Couldn't watch anything today, couldn't think of anything else, couldn't focus. But then BG3 adds to the mix because I'm still hoping to finish editing that Halstarion fic. It refuses to work with me & I dislike a lot about it. And, of course, Drakecest is my all time fav obsession, it's always at the back of my mind, chilling on the couch, waiting for me to come back to them and start playing with them.
Last book I read:
The one I finished: The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James. It was a reread.
The one that I didn't finish: The Haunting of Maddy Clare by Simone St. James. I listened to an audio version that I found, but I only found 2 parts & it's definitely longer. I'd like to finish it, but I haven't seen more parts so far (and to download the actual book and sit down and focus on the the text is a god damn TASK for me.)
Last thing I googled: Probably "hands to the sky, i am a dreamer m83" because I started singing it, but for some reason thought it was 'I need you' by them and started listening to it. Turned out, my brain mixed the songs.
Fun facts:
I was a very active and a very popular kid in kindergarten (first french kiss there during the nap hour while everybody else watched and cheered? yeeeah. very silly, very fun. lol.)
I went to see one of Saw movies to cinema when I was around 10-12. Because I was so young, my dad had to go with me. He loved to tell his friends after how grown people couldn't handle the look of autopsy and guts while I didn't even blink. It always made me smile when he did. I loved the look of blood and horror (which stayed with me to this day, though I get anxious sometimes about blood in some situations.)
The money I bought my cat with partly came from Depeche Mode ticket that I bought, changed my mind, and sold (and, obviously, gave those to the breeder as a guarantee that I'm getting the kitten. I was around 16.) The rest of the price my dad paid for me.
I used to be a huge concert freak. All the travelling I did (13 countries) happened because of concerts. As soon as I turned 18, I started travelling. I slept outside a stadium of my fav band. I met musicians at airports and their hotels (mostly locally though, before I could start travelling). My time as a teen and up until 20 years old was very fun.

Monday, September 11th, 2023: Life, love, and lasers.
So we're a little over a year into me regularly posting on this Tumblr that has become a touchstone in me getting healthier. So today I'm just going to do a goals update.
Reading: The Rachel Incident
Writing: Today I thought of the phrase, "She was always right, she was always wronged". The phrase "I can see it from here" as a response to anything.
Cooking: Cream Cheese Bagel with Lox, homemade coffee. Also tried eating Pear and Blue cheese ice cream from Salt and Straw and I am truly disgusted. It was like bad breath in cream form. Makenna doesn't feel bad for me because the advertising was in the name. She has a point.
Political Awareness:  On Tuesday, the administration will face its largest test yet when the Department of Justice will launch a case designed to act as a check on Google’s dominance in online search, in what some experts are calling “the most significant monopoly case in a generation."
If I want to learn more about this, is it too ironic to Google it?
Loving Relationships: Chatted with Mom today, hung out on the couch with Makenna while Blue and Lumos stared each other down, and a lovely laser technician named Grace zapped my butt with a laser.
Getting outside/Cardio: Ran in the ran today for 25 minutes. I'm over 25 K for the month so far. The little droplets hit my skin and I felt the way my arms sliced through the air. I felt powerful as I listened to my Rom-Com playlist, particularly at "There She Goes Again".
Dressing Well: Today was a truly inspired outfit. White button-down cardigan, cream trousers, large boho pendant necklace, white slides.
Cleaning: Deep cleaned the chair Lumos peed on with the green machine. It was like tending to my own zen garden...if it smelled like cat piss. Basically a frontierswoman at this point. I'm my own husband and wife.
Work: Edited a Creative Brief, contracted 35K of media spend, created a list of "Loopy" Influencers, and emailed my little heart out at Palmy's today.
Yoga: Need to get back on that and download daily yoga (or potentially a better app).
Meditation: A true sense of self-esteem comes from actions. When we show ourselves who we are. Self-talk is a lot, but it's not everything. Also I feel like I've been showing myself a good person lately.
General health: Sober September-ing for the win! Life is improving as a direct result. Pretty awkward to admit.
Things I want to improve on: grocery shopping more, and ordering food less. Learning more about money, as in what to do with it when you have it.
Funny Text of the day, Zero Context:
"Like fuck off Lindsay. I got invited to a British country home. I ain’t saying no to that. Whether I fall in love or get seriously haunted by a ghost I am going. It’s not my fault geopolitical borders are fucked and the post office moves at a snail's pace"

A Clinical Guide to Supportive and Palliative Care for HIV/AIDS
Tumblr media
Palliative care is a type of healthcare that focuses on the needs of people experiencing the final stages of their life and can't afford to spend time in hospitals.
Several professionals can administer palliative care, including doctors, nurses, and hospice workers. It is usually delivered alongside other types of treatment, such as hospice care or palliative care centers.
HIV/AIDS patients often have trouble getting the care they need when they need it most—because many hospitals won't accept them. This means that many HIV/AIDS patients don't get the treatment they need, which can lead to worsening symptoms and even death.
The goals of palliative care are to improve the quality of life for patients and their families, relieve physical pain and suffering, and improve psychological functioning. Apart from HIV/AIDs there are also a Local Anesthetic injection.
This may include helping patients, and their families deal with financial problems caused by the illness or treatment, as well as helping them deal with emotional issues and other concerns related to their health situation.
What is Palliative Care?
Palliative care is a type of medical care that focuses on relieving symptoms and providing comfort to people with serious illnesses. It is often used after a disease has already progressed to being untreatable but before it becomes too severe to treat.
Palliative care can be administered in many different ways depending on your illness and who you are as a patient. It does not matter if you receive palliative care at home or in the hospital; what matters is that you get it!
Lox 2 Injection is also a treatment for other several diseases that occurs in human beings. We can see many cures and treatments in the clinic & they also use the Hydrochloride Injection.
Palliative care is important in managing HIV/AIDS because it helps manage symptoms while also providing comfort to those who need it most—those who may be experiencing a significant decline in quality of life due to this disease.
The 5 Stages Included in the Guide of Palliative Care for AIDS Patient
Below are the 5 stages of palliative care for an AIDS patient are as follows.
Relief from Symptoms
The first stage of palliative care is focused on relieving the patient's symptoms and improving their quality of life. This may involve providing pain relief, managing nausea and vomiting, and treating other symptoms impacting the patient's daily life.
Emotional Support
The second palliative care stage is geared towards providing emotional support to the patient and their loved ones. This can be difficult for everyone involved, and it is important to have someone to talk to who understands what you are going through.
Nutritional Support
The third palliative care stage focuses on ensuring that the patient receives adequate nutrition. This may involve providing supplements or modifying the diet to ensure that the patient gets enough calories and nutrients.
Spiritual Support
The fourth palliative care stage is centered on providing spiritual support to the patient. This can be done through prayer, counseling, or simply being there for the person as they deal with their illness.
End-of-Life Care
The fifth and final stage of palliative care is focused on end-of-life care. This may include making sure that the patient has a comfortable place to stay, arranging for hospice care, and helping with funeral plans.
The Goals of Palliative Care for AIDS Patients
Although there is no cure for AIDS/HIV, palliative care can greatly improve the quality of life for patients with the disease. Palliative care focuses on relieving symptoms and providing emotional and spiritual support.
Below are the goals of palliative care for AIDS/HIV patients are to:
Relieve pain and other symptoms
Reduce stress and anxiety
Improve communication between the patient and their medical team
Provide emotional support
Promote spiritual well-being
The Role of the Palliative Care Team
The role of the palliative care team is to provide supportive and Palliative care for people living with HIV/AIDS for 24 x 7 Pharma.
The team works to improve the quality of life for people living with HIV/AIDS by providing comprehensive medical care, social support, and psychological counseling.
The team also educates patients, families, and communities about HIV/AIDS and its treatment to avoid having this dangerous infection.
The Significance of Talking About Palliative Care with Patients and Others
It is important to talk about palliative care with patients and others because it can help people understand the course of their disease, make informed decisions about their care, and prepare for the end of their life.
Palliative care is an approach to care that focuses on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of a serious illness. It is not intended to cure the underlying condition but to improve the quality of life for the patient and their family.
Talking about palliative care can be difficult everywhere, but it is important to have these conversations, so everyone is on the same page regarding care goals. It can also help ease any fears or misconceptions about palliative care.
If you are unsure how to broach the subject, many resources are available to help guide you through these conversations. The most important thing is to be honest, open, and respectful of everyone's needs and wishes.
When to Talk About Palliative Care for HIV/AIDS?
When to Talk About Palliative Care for HIV/AIDS There is no right time to talk about palliative care for HIV/AIDS. Some people may want to start talking about it as soon as they are diagnosed, while others may not talk about it until they face end-of-life issues.
It is important to have these conversations early on, so everyone is on the same page and knows what to expect and what not.
Conclusion
Palliative care is not just for end-of-life care. It can be provided at any stage of the disease, from diagnosis onwards. Palliative care is not synonymous with hospice care.
Hospice care is a type of palliative care that focuses on end-of-life care, whereas palliative care can be provided at any stage of the disease.
You can read other articles related to health, such as blood problems, how to take blood, anesthesia usage, a Local Anesthetic injection used in 24 x 7 Pharma (Lidocaine Injection, Hydrochloride Injection), and surgeries.
