Feemor

For those people on my fic who literally screamed when they saw him in the character notes, here is all you need to know about him.

So this is Feemor, right? As he is in the Comics.

But we don't really get much about Feemor, or what he's like, so outside of the most loose definition of what he sort of, kind of, looks like, I was allowed to run absolutely buck wild.

Possibly not a good thing.

But when I stood above my cauldron, creating the man that would be Feemor, Qui Gon Jinn's repudiated apprentice, I brought forth some essential ingredients.

1. A little bit of Steve the Babysitter

Anyone who's anyone knows Steve Harrington by now. And the distinct lack of Steve Harrington Coded Characters just upsets me. Plus, pretty much every fix-it fic in the business states that he'd find Qui Gon's mental state not a good enough reason to traumatize Baby-Wan. Alas, the reality that could have- Oh wait, I'm a fic writer!!!

Reality is what I wish it.

2. A teensy bit of Tiny Timmers

If you ever want comedic value for a Jedi Knight - one that is tired and exhausted and tortured by their own intelligence - than the Tim Drake Archetype is for you! The frequently forgotten member of the Bat Lineage, he is a perfect fit of character traits for Feemor the grudgingly helpful, but done with it all Knight that downs Caf fast enough on the regular to make Commander Fox seem perfectly adjusted.

3. Some, Uh, Hey there Demons, it's me, ya boy.

Come on, is that not the funniest idea for a Jedi you've ever heard? Looks at a haunted Sith Holocron and says; "Huh, must be a breeze." A healthy dose of paranoid sceptic who knows more about the paranormal than he ever wanted to know? Perfection.

(Oh, and he absolutely did take that Comedy Class with Nej. It... the less spoken about watching Master Windu's theatre productions the better...)

And so, I turned the pot, right, had a good taste, but something was missing. Low and behold, upon the disgraceful vaults of TikTok, there is a user called DannyPhantom.exe, whose vibes are so cryptid as to make all these concepts work as one.

And so there he is, at the very end, Feemor as he is in Lost Property Box - A headache to the Librarians, The stick in the mud of his Creche-mates, and quite possibly the only Lineage Member Komari Vosa doesn't want to punt off the Hangar walls.

[I'll add some pictures of him sometime, but I think its imperative you know who I based this particular characterisation off of. So that you can all giggle uncontrollably along beside me as I write it.]

[Additionally, I am giving him the most bogan haircut. If you're gonna be blond, may as well go full hog undercut mullet, you coward. Mando's (for some reason) love that shit. The worse the haircut, the better.]

i wound up liking this one a fair deal, which surprised me a little bit. The blowdrier has always felt like a power-up of relatively limited utility, but this level (with some logic hiccups) uses it well and consistently for what it can do. The level maintains a consistent, coherent presentation throughout, as well, and while it might be a bit simple (and i do think the lighting washes the colours out a bit overmuch), i does look nice, and it represents the theme quite well. i do feel like the level could have used a couple of passes for polishing, like i said earlier the logic is just on this side of wonky sometimes, but i can understand Zeepo wanting to get it done as quickly as could be done as a challenge to themselves, and i appreciate that. Honestly, it deserves bonus points just for that. Being able to put together a full level (even a short one) that hangs together well and maintains a decent pace all the way to the end is no small accomplishment. --------------------------------- We wound up getting a tv sorted. It occurred to me that while i couldn't afford a new or used one at the same size or level of quality, i could still afford one that was a significant downgrade. i don't particularly like that choice, or the fact that i was forced into it, but it does feel like the best option out of a bad lot. There wasn't really any way i was going to be able to do a review show wiv the display as impacted as it was (it'd be impossible to fairly judge presentation, and i'd be working against issues that weren't the level's fault for gameplay; i just couldn't sign off on that); i could probably have kept up the archive and streaming, but i know it would just have wound up being a growing aggrivation, and that'd start bleeding into where people would pick up on it, and that's not fair. So... yeah. Funny thing is, purely as an object, i kind of like the smaller tv, just because it feels sized more proportionately to the space. Now as an actual tool to do things wiv... i gotta say, it's gotten a lot harder to read off of, and the colour correction feels just enough different from the old one that it's going to take a little getting used to (the neons feel way poppier now, for one). At least it means i don't have to put everything on hold for the three or so months it'd take to get a telly like the old one, and that's worth it by itself.

Goten would really want to go trick or treating and ofc Gohan is gonna go too, so he decides Dende should go with them cuz cmon this is something he should experience at least once. And obviously Dende agrees even if he doesn't fully get it, but he's thrilled to be a part of this. So now Gohan's gotta think of a costume for Dende cuz if theyre all gonna go then they should all dress up. And Dende's probably a little worried cuz he's like "um green skin is kinda hard to cover..." so Gohan's thinking of all these ideas like a ghost, a killer, or anything else to cover himself but then Trunks(he's going too) says "why doesn't he just dress like piccolo. That's easy enough." And Gohan first is like "i dunno Trunks...." but Dende's like "I dont see any harm in it, its just for fun, yeah?" And bam they then work to make this costume. Gohan mostly makes it his job to work on it, modifying his own clothes to fit Dende and whatnot, and it turns out super nice!! So now Dende's getting excited and he feels silly but in a good way and Chichi takes pictures of Gohan(hes a vampire), Goten(he'd be saiyaman like cmon yall), Dende, and Trunks(hes ghostface) all together and off they go. And though Dende didn't expect it, he gets A LOT of attention abt his costume. A bunch of 'Wow! That's amazing!'s and 'how did you make that??'s and all sorts of compliments on his king piccolo costume. He gets so giddy about it and it helps him get a lot of candy which he probably ends up splitting between the boys and its just...really fun. He's happy he was invited, and Gohan's happy he's enjoying himself so much. And the boys are happy they got double the candy. I think they'd all agree to do it again next year.
