random Lightning Thief Musical things i like to talk about a lot:
The instrumentals for Tree On The Hill (Thalia's song) are extremely similar to Green Day's Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life).
Percy's line in The Campfire Song of joking that if he sang it'd "probably cause an avalanche" is a reference to a line in The Last Olympian, when Nico tells Percy they need music to open the path to the Underworld and Percy makes the same comment.
The nickname affectionately given to Kristin Stokes' Annabeth is "Poodlebeth" because of the way she curled her hair for the shows and i think that's fun and cute and the fandom never references it ever which is sad.
When i first listened to the album before I saw the show I thought My Grand Plan took place during the Zoo Truck Scene and not Medusa's Garden and i still think about that a lot and want to make an animatic about it.
I saw the show live twice and one of the times during Put You In Your Place when Annabeth and Clarisse have their little face-off, Clarisse just leaned forward all the way and gave Annabeth a little kiss on the lips before continuing with the rest of the song.
listen, if your theatre production is comprised of a cast of like maybe a dozen people total and the singular set is like, entirely boxes/piles of literal garbage/scaffolding that never moves and maybe some chairs and a couple of props that will be recycled 20 times over in different ways throughout the show, it slaps! it simply just is an incredible production. I think this is a law of the universe or something.
a short that woefully flies under my radar more than is moral, i rewatched Hollywood Daffy months ago and still find myself thinking about this sequence by Virgil Ross to the day. incredibly enchanted by the way this moves—i love the very inspired detail of Daffy grabbing the cop and having to physically pull him down a little to account for the height difference… love that bouncy settle after the Errol Flynn line (i feel i say this with EVERYTHING, but “DON’T ANSWER THAT” is one of my favorite line deliveries from Blanc and Daffy alike) and the head tilts give Daffy a nice nuance and dimension to his acting. it's a great contrast to the purposefully obtuse, flop-footed run cycles and general exorbitance from the cop. so stinkin' good
“Yes lad!!!” for Ni’s song! Hello, lovers!
Just wait until Louis discovers

(Which may merit congrats?)
By the curly-haired one of his *brothers*.
i hope the PJO TV cast knows they have the opportunity to one-shot the entire fandom by doing covers of the LT Musical OST. can you imagine? Literally any song. We'd all be sobbing in seconds.
work’s been keeping me very busy so i haven’t had a lot of time to work on this, but! my great and illustrious secret is that i intend for this to have sound. specifically sound that corresponds with each Porky and his assigned short
